The Minnesota Wild pulled off a huge comeback in Game 4, after falling to the Blues every other game in the playoffs. As a matter of fact, Wednesday’s game was the first time in the series that the Minnesota team made more than one goal. That’s pretty sad. But the Wild wasn’t feeling blue during their flawless victory in Game 4, when they defeated St. Louis with a score of 2-0.
Can the Wild continue their momentum into Saturday’s game? They will certainly have the hometown advantage, as this game emanates from the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota. But hometown advantage didn’t mean anything for the St. Louis Blues on Wednesday night, as they were swiftly dispatched by the Wild.
Blues center Paul Stastny is rumored to return from injury this afternoon. He’s missed 14 games because of a foot injury. Blues coach Mike Yeo hasn’t revealed Statsny’s official return nor has he confirmed the lineup for today’s game.
But Yeo did reveal that the injured center is well on his way to recovery. “It was a good day for [Stastny],” says Yeo. “He’s been progressing well and this was a big step, being able to do a full practice, a competitive practice, so that’s a good sign.”
Will the Wild keep following that path to victory? Or will the Blues once again vanquish that team from Minnesota? And will St. Louis center Paul Statsny return from injury during today’s game?
