Tonight, Blue Demons will battle Musketeers in the Garden. This first round matchup of the Big East Tournament will be streamed live from the world-famous arena Madison Square Garden. This Wednesday night, Xavier’s Musketeers are set to duel with DePaul Blue Demons on the basketball court.

Who will win in the Garden? Xavier has the superior record this season. However, these Musketeers have been hampered by injuries. Sophomore guard Edmond Sumner has been on the shelf for over five weeks with a torn left ACL.

Despite these plaguing injuries, Xavier has defeated DePaul twice by double digits. The last time the Blue Demons stepped up to the plate against the Musketeers, they were defeated 79-65. And that was only four days ago.

DePaul hasn’t been looking so hot. They’ve only won nine games this season. Meanwhile, their opponents have won more than double the amount of games in the same amount of time. Can the Blue Demons pull off an upset? Or will the Musketeers secure their 20th win of the season? Look below and find out how you can watch Xavier battle DePaul live from Madison Square Garden.

The University of Southern California PIKE brothers threw down last weekend for PIKE Paradise, along with all the party animals and girls who enjoy things like fun, good times, and drinking while wearing island clothing (which, if you go to USC or anywhere in So-Cal, is probably what you’re wearing 365 days of the year anyway). (I saw snow on the ground this weekend in New York. I’m not jealous, I swear.)

We included some photos taken at the party above, but since we all know the old adage “if you didn’t make a sick recap video, did your fraternity party even happen?,” here is the official Pike Paradise 2017 recap video, shot and edited by @kyledijamco.

AEPi Fraternity Issues Nationwide Security Alert In Light Of Anti-Semitic Incidents

Alpha Epsilon Pi, commonly referred to as AEPi, sent a warning to its nearly 10,000 undergraduate members on nearly 200 campuses to be extra careful in light of the anti-Semitic incidents occurring around the country.

Alpha Epsilon Pi Executive Director Andy Borans released a statement in the wake of the anti-Jewish incidents:

“As one of the most visible Jewish institutions on nearly 190 campuses around the world, we must be both vigilant in our efforts to make our houses, brothers and fellow Jews safe and, at the same time, we should take a role in helping to repair the damage done by this hatred.

“Brothers across the world have taken the fraternity’s mission – developing leadership for the Jewish community – to heart. Brothers from Washington University in St. Louis and Drexel University in Philadelphia volunteered to help clean up the Jewish cemeteries which were recently desecrated by anti-Semitic acts. In Florida, AEPi groups, in conjunction with other local groups, have sponsored response training to “active-shooter scenarios” for their campus Jewish community.

“In response to anti-Semitic graffiti scrawled on campus near its house, the AEPi chapter at the University of Nevada – Las Vegas organized a campus-wide rally against anti-Semitism which brought the entire campus together, along with local elected officials and others, in support of the Jewish community. This weekend, dozens of chapters across the world are volunteering at local Purim carnivals on their campuses or in their communities to show support for Jewish institutions and to ensure that, no matter what, Jewish people who wish to come together can do so without fear.

“Issuing press releases with strongly worded condemnations is not enough. We want our brothers to stand up and proactively support our Jewish communities. Truly, the brothers of AEPi are playing a role in healing the world through their actions and deeds, not just their words. For this, I am amazingly proud and eternally in debt to our undergraduate brothers.”

AEPi was founded on November 7, 1913 at NYU by Charles C. Moskowitz, and was expanded in 1917 as a second chapter was founded at Cornell University. Alpha Epsilon Pi is predominantly a Jewish fraternity, however, it is open to students of all religions.

While most frats are national, Alpha Epsilon Pi is a worldwide brotherhood, as it became the first fraternity to have a chapter in Israel, and in 2016, the first fraternity to have a chapter in Australia.

Plane Carrying University Of Michigan Basketball Team Slides Off The Runway

A plane carrying the University of Michigan men’s basketball team had to abort takeoff after it slid off of the runway at Willow Run Airport in Ann Arbor on Wednesday. The Willow Run Airport is approximately 15 miles from the Ann Arbor campus. The team made alternative travel plans.

Tom Wywrot, a spokesman for the UM basketball team, described the incident at the Willow Run Airport for reporters. Michigan faces Illinois in the Big Ten Tournament on Thursday in Washington, D.C.

Wywrot says the takeoff “was aborted” on a day marked by high winds and “after strong braking,” the plane slid off of the runway and “sustained extensive damage.”

The team manager tweeted a video (above) that showed the MD83 plane had skidded through a fence, across an access road and off a low embankment.

UM head coach John Beilein texted ESPN’s Andy Katz to confirm that the team was alright.

The University of Michigan Wolverines (20-11, 5th in Big Ten) were traveling to take on the University of Illinois in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament in Washington, D.C.

UF Student Wins Student Body Election, Promptly Get Arrested In Key West

Student body president by day, unapologetic frat star by night.

William Smith Meyers, the University of Florida’s brand spanking new student body president was arrested in Key West, Florida, after he drunkenly knocked over two Harley-Davidson motorcycles while on spring break. I’ve never been to Key West, but I imagine that’s a place that you do NOT want to scuff up some Harleys. I have a feeling people from the south take their motorcycles seriously.

Meyers, 22, was seen by a witness around 2:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 7, mounting several parked motorcycles on the 400 block of William Street. According to the arrest report, Meyers then attempted to turn the bikes on. When the bikes wouldn’t start, Meyers knocked them to the ground in response.

When Key West Police Department officers arrived at the seen, Meyers was so drunk that he “did not even recall coming down to Key West for spring break vacation,” according to the police report. Frat.

Meyers was arrested for criminal mischief and was taken to the Monroe County Detention Center. He was released on a $328 bond.

Meyers, a food and resource economics major and member of the Alpha Tau Omega was elected to be the next student body president on February 22.

Ironically, his campaign slogan was “Character that counts.”

A-Rod Dating J.Lo Is A Comeback For The Ages

You have to give A-Rod credit, the dude has made a hell of a comeback since retiring from the MLB.

If you had told me five years ago that Alex Rodriguez would be a highly sought-after analyst and dating an A-lister, I’d tell you that the steroids you’re buying off of A-Rod are making you crazy. Remember, it was only 2014 when good ole’ A-Rod was suspended for a staggering 211 games (later reduced to 162) for another steroid scandal.

Now, just a few short years later, he’s signed a cushy deal as an analyst with Fox Sports and is reportedly dating one of the baddest bitches on the planet.

Via Hollywood Life:

“Jennifer Lopez’s new man is Alex Rodriguez. They’ve been quietly dating for a couple months. Her thing w/ Drake ended after TMZ reported he hooked up with French booty model /porn star Rosee Divine in Amsterdam back in January. This was after

Drake spent Christmas with J. Lo and her family! She promptly kicked him to the curb. [She and A-Rod] haven’t gone public yet, but I can confirm this is absolutely true,”

“[A-Rod] was with [J. Lo] in Vegas during this latest leg of her Planet Hollywood Vegas show. They were all coupled up behind the scenes, not public, but absolutely not hiding their relationship around close friends and family. It is definitely for real,” the source added.

Dude’s like a cockroach in a nuclear war.

Samuel L. Jackson Acts Out His Entire Film Career With James Corden

I’d argue that pound for pound, Pulp Fiction is the greatest film of all time. Certainly the greatest American film of all time. And without question, Samuel L. Jackson is the best part of Pulp Fiction.

One of the most amazing things about Jackson is that you always think of him a Samuel L. Jackson — he looks the same, sounds the same, yells the same. And that’s a credit to Jackson’s acting prowess because even though he’s essentially playing himself in every movie, he still crushes. Whereas someone like Tom Hanks or Leo Dicaprio becomes the role, when it comes to Samuel L, the role becomes him. Whenever I watch Star Wars, I don’t see Mace Windu, I see Samuel L. with a lightsaber, and that’s just fine with me.

Anyway, in case you didn’t already know this, Jackson has had a hell of a career, and this hilarious retrospective with James Corden will remind you why he’s one of the greatest actors of a generation.

Tim Kaine’s Son Arrested For ‘Felony Rioting’ After Disrupting Pro-Trump Rally

Linwood Kaine, the youngest son of Hillary Clinton’s former running mate Tim Kaine, was arrested after disrupting a pro-Donald Trump rally in Minnesota.

It is alleged that Kaine, 24, was one of five masked suspects who threw a smoke bomb inside the Minnesota Capitol rotunda Saturday afternoon.

According to the report, officers chased Kaine, but he resisted.

Via Pioneer Press:

In the end, it took three cops, a “knee strike” and a chemical spray to subdue Kaine after he was identified as one of the counterprotesters who allegedly used fireworks or a smoke bomb to disrupt a rally in support of President Donald Trump at the Minnesota State Capitol, according to police spokesman Steve Linders.

While Kaine and four others were arrested on the suspicion of second-degree riot after the “March 4 Trump” rally in St. Paul, none of the five have been charged. Though Ramsey County attorney’s office said “there were insufficient facts to prove felony-level riot,” the case remains an “active investigation,” according to the Minnesota State Police.

Kaine attended Carleton College, which is a private liberal arts college located in Northfield, Minnesota.

20 years ago, Christopher Wallace AKA The Notorious B.I.G. AKA Biggie Smalls was killed in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles. At only 24 years old, Wallace was not only already considered one of the greatest rappers of his time, but of all time.

Wallace was famously raised in Brooklyn, New York City. After his seminal debut album Ready to Die came out in 1994, he became the leading figure in the East Coast hip-hop scene.

Wallace famously feuded with West Coast rapper and former close friend Tupac Shakur. Shakur was also shot in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada, on September 7, 1996, just half a year before Biggie’s death.

Although Biggie’s sample size is small, his impact is large, and to this day he is considered one of the greatest rappers of all time.

The Jewish Children’s Museum in Brooklyn was evacuated this morning due to an unspecified threat.

The NYPD responded to the museum after getting a call around 9:30 A.M. on Thursday morning. It is unclear how many people were in the building at the time of the evacuation. The building was evacuated and searched.

The evacuation of the Jewish Children’s Museum comes just two days after a series of bomb threats caused evacuations of Jewish facilities across the nation. This is the second in New York this week alone, as a bomb threat was also called into the national headquarters of the Anti-Defamation League.

There have been over 120 bomb threats called into nearly 100 Jewish community schools, child care centers, and other facilities across the country since the start of 2017.

What Happened?

An evacuation was ordered at the Jewish Children’s Museum in Brooklyn, New York as NYPD investigate an unspecified threat.

Where is the Jewish Children’s Museum?

About The Jewish Children’s Museum

The Jewish Children’s Museum is the largest Jewish-themed children’s museum in the United States. The JCM was founded by Devorah Halberstam with private and government funding after her 16-year-old son Ari was shot and killed on the Brooklyn Bridge on March 1, 1994.

Via JCM website:

A place of learning and wonder, the Jewish Children’s Museum is a unique institution where children and their parents – from all segments of the community – can explore jewish history and heritage in a stimulating and interactive environment.

With hands-on exhibits focusing on Jewish holidays, biblical history, the land of Israel, contemporary Jewish life and more, the Jewish Children’s Museum celebrates and explores many aspects of Jewish culture. Through innovative multi-media technology, Jewish history, values and culture come to life at the Museum. The Museum features multi-media marvels, an art gallery, two state-of-the-art computer labs, a game show studio, a 75-seat audiovisual theater, a miniature golf course and a craft workshop. These are but some of the wonders within the museum’s 50,000 square foot multi-media wired structure.

Erin Dietrich: Must-See Photos & Videos Of ‘Giraffe Mom’

Erin Dietrich, from Myrtle Beach, became an overnight internet sensation this week after she livestreamed her impression of April, a pregnant giraffe. Now we all have going viral on our bucket list, but Dietrich was able to knock that out and give birth to a healthy baby boy in the same week. She’s absolutely crushing the life game.

Dietrich went live on Facebook Wednesday afternoon from the hospital while wearing the giraffe mask that went viral earlier this week. On Sunday night, she livestramed herself pacing around her bedroom in leggings and the mask. It’s weird, it’s hilarious, it’s amazing. Basically, it’s the perfect internet video.

“You know, I never sleep at night anymore, so all night, I check on this giraffe,” she said.

Originally, Dietrich and her husband, Scott, thought the video would just be something goofy to share with friends. But the bit unexpectedly took off and now has more than 30 million views online. The inspiration for the video was a good-natured teasing of the millions of people who are tuning into the livestream of April the Giraffe, who is expected to give birth to her fourth calf any day now at AnimalAdventure Park in New York.

Check out Dietrich’s videos below and some must-see photos above.

Candice Crawford: Must-See Photos Of Tony Romo’s Wife

NFL quarterback Tony Romo has enjoyed a very successful and very public love life over the years. His past conquests include Carrie Underwood and Jessica Simpson, not bad. While things didn’t go the distance with either of them, Romo appears to be happily married to former beauty queen and TV reporter Candice Crawford.

The pair began dating in 2009, shortly after Romo and Simpson split. At the time, Crawford was a reporter and anchor at CW33 in Dallas covering high school sports and hosting a daily lifestyle segment. Normally, the media shouldn’t fraternize with the players, but we’ll forgive the duo in this case.

Romo proposed in 2011 on Crawford’s 24th birthday. Adorable, we know. People provided all of the juicy details on the engagement ring and ceremony:

She received an 8-carat yellow diamond engagement ring, which features one carat of round diamonds surrounding the center stone. Her bridesmaids wore Badgley Mischka dresses.

Guests partied into the night at a reception organized by wedding planner Todd Fiscus, whose credits include New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning’s wedding. Short ribs and pizza were promised on the new couple’s reception menu.

“We did lots of man food,” Fiscus told CBS about the menu for the big day. “I have a lot of football players to feed.”

Crawford, 30, grew up in in Lubbock, Texas, where she began competing in beauty pageants as a teenager. She won the Miss Missouri pageant in 2008 and finished in the top 10 of the Miss USA pageant. While heart beauty days are behind her, Crawford still stays busy. She started Hawk + Sloane, a company that produces oil sprays for parents and children.

The couple have two sons.

Congress Ordered NASA To Get It Together & Get Us On Mars By 2039

I’m a big space guy. Even before I started burning the devil’s lettuce, I was all in on the great unknown.

I remember one of the first toys I asked for as a kid was a space shuttle. Pound for pound, Armageddon is as complete of a movie as there is. It’s got laughs, it’s got tears, it’s got action, it’s got Bruce Willy and Ben Affleck, it’s got it all. And I haven’t even mentioned black holes and time travel. If you haven’t already, watch Cosmos on Netflix and get with the program because space is lit.

That’s why I’m totally behind Congress kicking NASA in the ass and telling them to get us on Mars in the next 20 years. Mars is the future and the future is now. There no guarantee that the world survives another 50 years with all of the nonsense humankind has been pulling recently, so I’m of the opinion that the sooner we can jump ship, the better. You know what they say — if you’re not first, you’re last, and it’s only a matter of time before China or Russia beats us to the punch and cucks us out of the great red rock. We barely beat the Russians to the moon, and even to this day, people have their doubts. All I’m saying is, the first nation that gets to Mars is going to be the first nation that can build a weapon on it.

Via Space News:

For the first time in nearly six and a half years, Congress has passed a NASA authorization bill with the approval of such a bill March 7 in the House of Representatives.

The House approved on a voice vote the NASA Transition Authorization Act of 2017, S.442, after a brief discussion on the House floor where no members spoke against the bill. The same bill passed the Senate by unanimous consent Feb. 17.

The bill authorizes $19.5 billion in spending for NASA in fiscal year 2017. More importantly, it includes a number of policy provisions directing NASA’s activities. They range from development of a detailed plan for NASA’s human exploration programs, with the long-term goal of sending humans to Mars, to giving NASA the ability to establish long-term medical monitoring of former astronauts.

And of course, whenever I can work a Seinfeld, South Park, or Chappelle’s Show reference into an article, you bet your ass I will. Today’s winner is Chappelle’s Show, who yet again, was way ahead of his time.

We’ve got a clash of the titans on tap for this afternoon, as the #14 Duke Blue Devils will take on the #10 Louisville Cardinals. This is only the quarterfinal round of the ACC Tournament, which shows just how insanely deep the conference was this year.

This is Louisville’s first game of the ACC Tournament, as they earned a double bye with a 12-6 record in conference play. The Cardinals were tied for second place in the regular season, but they ended up getting the #4 seed in the ACC Tournament due to tiebreakers.

Duke earned a single bye in the tournament after finishing tied with Virginia for fifth place in the ACC with a 11-7 record in conference play. The Blue Devils were awarded the #5 seed in the ACC Tournament, as they went 1-0 against Virginia in the regular season. To advance to the quarterfinals, Duke beat #12 Clemson 79-72 in the second round.

Louisville and Duke only met once during the regular season, and the Cards were able to emerge victorious in front of a raucous home crowd. On January 14, Louisville defeated Duke 78-69, backed by Anas Mahmoud’s monster double-double of 17 points and 15 rebounds.

Now that you know a little bit about the matchup, let’s breakdown all of the ways you can watch the game.

March Madness Predictions 2017: Top 5 Teams With Best Chances Of Winning

As of March 14, we will all have the pleasure of watching the NCAA Tournament, and man, am I excited for it. Now, unless you’re not a sports fan, you probably won’t be watching any college basketball next week, but if you are someone that likes sports but doesn’t enjoy March Madness, then I don’t ever want to associate in any way with you.

I’ve been watching the NCAA Tournament for years now, but this is the first time that my school, The University of South Carolina, will be partaking in the tournament since I went to school there. It’ll be awesome to finally be more invested in the tournament besides all of the bets I make and each bracket I fill out, but I’m not naive, I know that my Gamecocks don’t have any chance at winning the championship. It also shouldn’t stop you from being excited if you went to a smaller school and they got a bid into the tournament, because your team isn’t going to win the championship either. Having said that, it’s called March Madness for a reason, so screw what all of the “experts” say, just believe in your team! If they’re not going to win, so just be happy to be here, like I am with my Gamecocks.

Anyway, if you were someone who did attend a big basketball school like a Kentucky or a Duke, you go into every tournament with the “Final Four or bust” mentality, and why shouldn’t you? Your program has a history of winning titles and going far into the tournament. Let me make one thing clear before I go on with this article: I am by no means a college basketball expert. I watch it every year, but when it comes to predictions and filling out brackets, I usually fall flat on my face. That said, this year I’ve watched more college basketball than I have in years past, so I feel pretty confident with my predictions going into this year’s tournament.

As everyone knows, only one team can be fortunate enough to cut down the nets at the end of the tournament, but when you’re filling out your brackets next week, here are five teams who I think have the chance to hoist up the championship trophy when it’s all said and done. Let me reiterate the fact that I’m not an expert, just a normal guy who watches college basketball and likes to make predictions.

1. North Carolina

If it wasn’t for an unbeliever buzzer beater from Villanova’s Kris Jenkins in last year’s title game, the Tar Heels would be going for their second straight NCAA Championship. With today’s college basketball being all about the “one and done” players, a big reason as to why I like UNC so much this year is that they have players with years of experience in the tournament, which is something I think you need going into March. Their three most productive players this year have all been upperclassmen, junior point guard Joel Berry II, junior forward Justin Jackson, and senior forward Kennedy Meeks. While they’ve gotten some good contribution this season from some of their freshmen players, the Tar Heels’ success has been coming from their experienced players. I also think they have one of the best coaches going into the tournament in Roy Williams, who’s looking to capture his third National Championship as a head coach. I know the bracket hasn’t been released yet, but I’m going to call my shot and say that the Tar Heels will win the National Championship this year, (but don’t rule out these next four teams either).

2. Kansas

Much like North Carolina, Kansas’ success this year has come from their upperclassmen, especially senior point guard Frank Mason III, who’s been having a tremendous final season in Lawrence. They also have a freshman sensation in forward Josh Jackson, who’s looking like a top-three pick in the upcoming NBA Draft, so I’m excited to see him play in the tournament. Another well-coached team led by Bill Self, the Jayhawks are definitely a team I can see making a deep run in the tournament, and possibly winning it, but the problem with Kansas is that they don’t have much presence in the paint, and to win in March you need to have a capable big man to get you some big rebounds and buckets. I’m not saying that they can’t win it, but the lack of a skilled big man worries me.

3. UCLA

This is the team I want to see win it all because I absolutely love everything about Lonzo Ball. I hate his annoying ass father but love him. The Bruins have a nice mix of freshmen and upperclassmen getting minutes this year and have six players who score over 1o points a game. They’re a team without a ton of tournament experience, which draws some concerns, but there’s something about Lonzo Ball that really makes me think he can lead this deep on a deep tournament run, even as a freshman. The kid is a throwback pass first point guard that gets everyone involved, but can still create his own shot, bring down some rebounds, and get some steals here and there. He’s either going to be the first or second pick in the draft and if he leads the Bruins to their first National Title since 1995, you can expect to hear his name called first in June.

4. Villanova

Villanova used to be the team that would have a great regular season, get a high seed in the tournament, and fail to live up to expectations each year, it was like clockwork, but that all changed last year as the Wildcats won their first national title since 1985. And now they’re a team that has the chance to win their second straight championship, and you know what? They have a damn good chance to do so too. They return three of their five starters from last year’s championship team, as well as some key players coming off the bench. With one championship under head coach Jay Wright’s belt, who’s to say he can’t take this team back to the promise land? With a 28-3 record and essentially the same team intact, it’s very possible that Nova will go back to back.

5. Kentucky

I will be the first to admit that I’ve always been hesitant when it comes to picking Kentucky in the tournament ever since they’ve been getting the one and done players, because as I previously mentioned I think it’s essential to veteran leadership and experience in the tournament, but John Calipari knows how to coach up his freshmen. Since his first season with Kentucky back in 2009, he’s led the Wildcats to five Final Four appearances, during which the bulk of the team’s production has come from freshmen, and this season is no different. They have a stellar backcourt with freshmen De’Aaron Fox and Malik Monk, who I think can go toe to toe with any guards in the country. They get pretty solid production from their front court players, and have already played in some big games this year. He’s known as the best recruiter in the country, but Calipari knows how to get the most out of his team in each tournament they’ve been in, and I really think this team has a serious chance to make a deep postseason run, and possibly to cut down the nets at the end of the season.

New Captain Obvious-Led Study Says Pot Smokers Consistently Get Lower Grades

Let’s be clear: being unintelligent and getting crappy grades are two entirely different things. Want to know why pot smokers get lower grades? Not because smoking the herbal makes you dumber, but because they just don’t give a shit. It has nothing to do with their IQ. So f*ck the Daily Mail for publishing this wildly misleading headline: “Cannabis DOES make you stupid: Weed smokers have consistently low grades through school, study finds.”

Clickbait 101 right there. Saying weed makes you stupid is like saying eating food makes you fat. Technically, yes, but it’s not because of the food itself, it’s because you have a shitty diet. Apples and oranges. Pot smokers don’t get worse grades because they’re any less intelligent, but because they’re probably skipping class to, ya know, smoke weed. I resent the hell out of people who think that smoking weed you dumber because that is NOT true … it just makes you lazier.

Via Daily Mail:

Researchers observed 1,100 teenagers who had started college in the US with similar rates of academic success over two years. However, the participants all smoked different amounts of cannabis and consumed various levels of alcohol. Grade Point Average (GPA) data was tracked for each participant, while their previous exam results were also assessed.

The teenagers were then split into three groups: youths who used little or no alcohol or marijuana, people who drank a lot but didn’t smoke much pot, and heavy users of both substances. They found that the students who drank a lot but didn’t smoke tended to get lower grades during the first semester of college. However, they then went on to achieve similar grades in comparison with sober students, according to the study published in PLOS ONE.

For the first semester, the mostly sober student group had an average GPA of 3.1 and the heavy drinkers had an average GPA of 3.03 – the equivalent of a B. But for students who were heavy users of both substances, their academic success continued to decrease. They had an average GPA of 2.66, which is equivalent to a B- or a C+.

So, don’t let this study get you down, stoners. You’re just as smart as the rest of them, you just don’t give a shit, and that’s a virtue.
