Well, get ready people. Might as well get used to this song now, cause you’re going to have chicks drunkenly screaming it in your face for the next 6 months at the bar.

In all seriousness, are there any two more ‘drunken white sorority girl’ musical acts in the world than these two?

No. No there’s not. And the worst part is this song sound EXACTLY like The Chainsmokers’ last two singles. I hate them so much, but you have to respect them finding a sound that people love and just sticking to it.

The 89th edition of the Academy Awards are set to take place this Sunday, and while the Oscars may not pack as much of a punch as the Grammys, it’s still an entertaining night for movie buffs. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will honor the best films and performances of 2016, and Jimmy Kimmel will be manning the hosting duties. Kimmel has his work cut out for him in his Oscars hosting debut, as Chris Rock delivered a hilarious monologue last year.

The nominees for the 24 different Academy Awards categories were announced on January 24, 2017, and unsurprisingly, La La Land received a boatload of them. The musical earned 14 nominations, which is tied with All About Eve (1950) and Titanic (1997) for the most of all-time.

All About Eve and Titanic both won Best Picture and combined for a total of 17 Oscars (6 for All About Eve and 11 for Titanic), so La La Land has to be feeling pretty good to be in such elite company. The Academy was also quite fond of Arrival and Moonlight, as the films tied for second place with eight nominations apiece.

Personally, I’m very interested in the Best Actor battle between Casey Affleck, Andrew Garfield, Ryan Gosling, Viggo Mortensen, and Denzel Washington. I’ll be pulling for Casey, as that dude has come a damn long way since jerking off into a baseball glove in Good Will Hunting.

But that’s enough of a stroll down memory lane for one day. Let’s break down the viewing details for the 2017 Oscars.

Oscars 2017 Viewing Details

Date: Sunday, February 26, 2017
Start Time: 8:30 P.M. ET
End Time: 11:30 P.M. ET
TV Channel: ABC
Location: Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California

Rick Pitino Almost Squared Up With A Heckling UNC Fan

During halftime of last night’s showdown between Louisville and North Carolina game, Louisville coach Slick Rick Pitino had to be held back from going after a heckling UNC fan during halftime of the Cardinals’ 74-63 loss.

Pitino, who was passing the UNC student section as he headed towards the locker room, said an adult male ‘got in my face and said something I didn’t like.’

via ESPN:

“I take it from the students all the time; you expect it from the students. But from an adult? And then to turn his back on me like he’s a coward?” Pitino said. “And he is a coward, but North Carolina is a classy place and he doesn’t speak for the rest of the people.”

ESPN reported the fan in question yelled, “Pitino, you suck!” Pitino then turned and had to be restrained by his coaching staff, partially ripping his jacket.

“I’ve always said this is the classiest place in college basketball, until I met a fan on the way out,” Pitino said. “It always reminded me of a class place, but they’re getting just like some of the other places now.”

UNC coach Roy Williams was unaware of incident until after the game, saying he apologized to Pitino on behalf of the university:

“I don’t like that. We’re North Carolina. We don’t have to be like everybody else,” Williams said. “You can raise Cain, you can boo, but you don’t have to say stuff that we as coaches have to put up with on the road. I hope that never happens again at North Carolina.”

Gotta love when emotions starts running high  in college basketball, because it usually means one thing: march madness is around the corner.

Hell Hole McDonald’s Clearly In Desperation Mode, Now Offering $1 Sodas

Time for this week’s edition of everyone’s favorite COED franchise: Eric wages a holy war against the evil empires of fast food. In my cross-hairs today? McDonald’s.

McDonald’s, despite the fact that they’re such a pitiful and disgusting franchise, is still the Darth Vader of the fast food industry Representing the establishment and preying on the mentally-weak obese, McDonald’s is everything that’s wrong with American dietary culture.

It comes as no surprise that in an effort to combat decreasing sales and in-store visits (because, news flash, McDonald’s blows), the Golden Arches are now offering $1 sodas of any size starting in April, with McCafe specialty drinks including smoothies, frappes, and shakes being sold for $2. Mickey Dee’s is hoping the cheap drinks can help draw more customers into its stores in the U.S. as it fights to reverse a decline in visits.

Via Bloomberg:

McDonald’s has been revamping its menu and marketing since Steve Easterbrook took the helm almost two years ago. Along with the introduction of all-day breakfast, Easterbrook has relied more on discounts and promotions across the country. Last year, the chain advertised two-for-$2 and two-for-$5 deals to bring back diners they’d lost after nixing its popular Dollar Menu.

McDonald’s leads a $228 billion U.S. fast-food industry that faces slackening growth. After increasing 2.4 percent last year, revenue gains will slow to 1.5 percent this year and 1.6 percent in 2018, data from researcher IBISWorld show. McDonald’s shares have gained 5 percent this year, about the same as the Standard & Poor’s 500 Restaurants Index.

The McDonald’s promotion, which starts in April, will include soft drinks of any size for $1. For a limited time, customers can also buy small McCafe beverages such as smoothies and frappes for $2. At stores in Chicago on Tuesday, small McCafe frappes sold for between $2.69 and $3.09. The chain plans to support the rollout with national advertising.

I give it another 10, MAYBE 20 years until McDonald’s is belly up with me dancing on their greasy, heart-clogging grave.

Kylie Jenner Is Now Just Walking Around In Pajamas & That’s Fine With Us

That’s it, I give up. Kylie wins.

She could paint herself orange and call herself the sun and I’d be into it. I don’t care that her body is made from the alien technology found in Independence Day, I’m all in. Not that I wasn’t into her before, it’s just that my attraction to her used to put my brain in a pretzel, as it goes against everything I believe to support the Kardashians.

Well, f*ck it. Moral principles be damned. Kylie Jenner is the hottest thing going these days and I don’t care who knows it.

So, why’s Kylie trotting around Los Angeles in her lingerie other than to redirect my blood flow?

Well, apparently she was dressed this way to attend a business meeting. Ultimate power move on Kylie’s part, showing up to close a business deal in her underwear. Whoever is on the other side of that table becomes immediately distracted as soon as she enters the room, thus giving up leverage to the Kardashians.

Can you smell it? College basketball games are starting to actually matter.

That’s right folks, we’re now in late February, which means March and all of its Madness is right around the corner. This is the time that teams across the country are trying to play their best ball of the season so they can head into the NCAA Tournament with a little momentum.

Take Syracuse for example. The Orange initially stumbled out of the gates, but Jim Boeheim’s squad has now defeated three teams in the top 10: Florida State, Virginia, and Duke.

The win against Duke was the sweetest of them all, as senior guard John Gillon drained a buzzer-beating three to down the Blue Devils.

The woman who assassinated Kim Jong-un’s estranged half-brother Kim Jong-nam has been identified as Doan Thi Huong.

Huong, who is being held in Malaysia over the killing of Kim Jong-nam in Kuala Lumpur International Airport, posted a selfie on Facebook wearing the now infamous shirt with ‘LOL’ emblazoned on the front.

Photos obtained from Facebook, where Houng went by the name Ruby Ruby, show her posing in a red bathing suit and a black floral dress, and as it turns out, she’s actually quite attractive. Go figure, North Korea is assassinating people with smoke shows.

Doan Thi Huong is accused of killing Kim Jong-nam, North Korean supreme leader Kim Jong-un’s estranged half-brother. After Houng sprayed some sort of substance in Jong-nam’s face, he immediately fell ill and was taken from the airport by ambulance but died on the way to the hospital.

WATCH: LAPD Cop Fires Gun During Fight With Teens Video

Off Duty L.A. Cop Pulls Gun On Teenagers

Note to all police officers: please stop pulling guns and shooting at teenagers. This off-duty L.A. cop who was filmed taking out his gun and firing at a group of teenagers (including 13-year-old Christian Dorscht) during a scuffle outside his home in Anaheim, California.

What Happened

The off-duty officer accused a group of teenagers of walking on his lawn. If true, yeah that’s kind of rude, but does it really warrant potentially lethal action? Not quite.

The confrontation ends when the officer pulls out his gun and fires a shot which did not hit anyone. After that, the teens rightfully fled for their lives. Before this, the cop can be seen tussling with one teen who he claims threatened to shoot him. A full-blown scuffle ensued after that.

The officer was apparently trying to arrest the unarmed teens when the fight broke out. More officers were called to the scene and two teens were ultimately arrested. At this time, it is unknown if the officer intentionally fired his weapon or not. As of now, he has not been arrested.

As a result, protests broke out throughout the area Wednesday night following the release of the video. They began as peaceful but soon escalated as protesters began throwing rocks and bottles at police.

Check out video of the initial incident below.

Who Is Christian Dorscht?

The 13-year-old boy at the center of this incident has been identified as Christian Dorscht by his father, Johnny Dorscht. He is the teenager the off-duty police officer is holding while firing his gun.

“That [the gunshot] was the most frightening part of it all. What if that bullet would have been, you know, I don’t know, a couple of inches closer,” Alma Jimenez, Christian’s mother, told CBS 8. “I didn’t see him being aggressive. I saw him being as calm as he possibly could. I saw him trying to reason with the adult.”

Christian spoke to Telemundo where he said, “I thought I was going to die. I thought he was going to shoot me because he was mad.”

Christian says that the cop called a girl a c*nt for walking on his lawn, which spurred Christian to come to her defense.

Who Is This Cop?

The off-duty officer has not yet been identified. He claims that one of the teens threatened to shoot him, while the teen says he said “sue” him. He has been put on a 72-hour leave while an investigation is conducted, according to officials.

“The Anaheim Police Department is aware of the numerous videos posted on YouTube regarding yesterday’s Officer Involved Shooting involving an off-duty LAPD officer,” police wrote in a Facebook post. “The Anaheim Police Department Homicide Detail is investigation the incident and the case will be presented to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office when complete. Calling and Sending emails to APD voicing your displeasure will NOT impact the outcome. A decision whether or not to file charges rests with the District Attorney’s office and is based on facts and evidence.”

This is a developing story. Please refresh for updates.

Miss COED Finalists Voting Is Live Now

Congratulations Ole Miss, You Played Yourself: Full List Of NCAA Allegations

$

It’s not a real school year until a major NCAA sports program commits a series of serious rule violations. Thankfully, Ole Miss is here to fill that void.

On Wednesday afternoon, the university announced a self-imposed postseason ban for 2017, following new allegations highlighted by the NCAA. In January 2016, the NCAA let the school know of 13 compliance allegations against its football program. Add that to Ole Miss’ description of the NCAA’s charges (the NCAA has yet to comment on the case) and the total count is up to a whopping 21.

In other words, you’re screwed.

Below is a list of the allegations, which reportedly all involve staffers under current head coach Hugh Freeze, who was hired in December 2011.

Charges Ole Miss Is Not Contesting

1. Hunting on a booster’s property: According to Ole Miss, the NCAA claims that a recruit took part in a hunting activity on private land near campus that was owned by a booster during his official visit in 2013. The recruit revisited the private land on “two or three” occasions, organized through the football program after he enrolled. This is an alleged Level III violation (Level I is the most serious).

2. Ole Miss provided lodging and transportation for recruits: A former Ole Miss staffer reportedly paid for lodging and transportation for recruiting trips, which is a Level I violation. From Ole Miss:

“Between March 2014 and January 2015, a former staff member (Former Staff Member A) impermissibly arranged for recruiting inducements in the form of lodging and transportation for one prospective student-athlete (Prospective Student-Athlete B) (who enrolled at another institution) and his companions on several visits to campus and for the impermissible transportation of another prospective student-athlete (Prospective Student-Athlete C) on one occasion. The total value of the lodging and/or transportation between the two prospective student-athletes is alleged to be $2,272. It is also alleged that the football program provided approximately $235 in free meals to Prospective Student-Athlete B (who enrolled at another institution) and Prospective Student-Athlete C and the friends of Prospective Student-Athlete B during recruiting visits in this same timeframe.”

3. Former staff member knowingly engaged in illegal recruiting practices: From March 2014 to February 2015, a former staff member provided “false or misleading information to the institution and enforcement staff in 2016.” Another Level I violation.

4. Contact between boosters and recruits and cash payments: Ole Miss is partially contesting this allegation, but a former staff member is accused of facilitating contact between a recruit and two boosters. It is alleged that this booster provided between $13,000 and $15,600 to the recruit. Level I.

Ole Miss is contesting the following allegations in full:

5. Impermissible merchandise: A former staff member is said to have arranged for a family friend of a recruit to be given merchandise from a booster-owned store in 2013. Another former staff member reportedly arranged for two other recruits to receive merchandise in 2014, 2015 and 2016, the NCAA claims. Level I.

6. Current Ole Miss coach had illegal contact with recruit: The NCAA says that a current Ole Miss coach allegedly had an “impermissible, in-person, off-campus contact” with a recruit in 2014. Level III.

7. Booster gave a recruit money and food: Between March 2014 and January 2015, a booster is said to have given a recruit and his companion money, food, drinks on “two-to-three” dates. The alleged violation is said to have occurred at the booster’s own restaurant. Level I.

8. Hugh Freeze violated “responsibility legislation”: Ole Miss says that Freeze was not personally involved in these violations, but is seen as responsible for the actions of his staff. Per the school:

“Although we disagree, according to the NCAA, Coach Freeze has not rebutted the presumption that he is responsible for his staff’s actions. This is charged as a Level I violation.”

9. A lack of institutional control at Ole Miss: The NCAA claims the university does not possess institutional control and “failed to monitor the conduct and administration of its athletics program.”

Ole Miss’ response:

“This charge replaces the more limited failure to monitor charge in the January 2016 Notice of Allegations. This is charged as a Level I violation that we will contest.”

Initial 13 Allegations

  • Two former Ole Miss assistants helped change recruits’ ACT scores
  • One Ole Miss booster gave a family member $800 in cash in August 2014
  • Three Ole Miss assistants cheated in the 2010 recruitment of six players
  • Players received financial help for car loans
  • Ole Miss made personalized hype videos for recruits
  • Assistant coach Maurice Harris allegedly helped connect recruits to a booster who was providing them with impermissible benefits
  • Ole Miss paid for hotels and rental properties for family members of recruits without receiving return payment
  • A “failure to monitor” charge
  • Ole Miss assistant Chris Kiffin allowed a player to sleep on his couch without asking for return payment
  • Kiffin had conversations with two high school players in an office where he wasn’t allowed
  • Kiffin provided recruiting benefits to a man who was a “father figure” to a recruit and not his actual father
  • The NCAA alleges that former Ole Miss staff members lied to investigators following their departures from Ole Miss

Man Jumps Over Police Tape, Grabs Confederate Flag At College Of Charleston Protest

There was a wild scene at the College of Charleston on Wednesday, as Black Lives Matter and the South Carolina Secessionist Party were both at an event. Here’s the New York Daily News to set the stage.

A Black Lives Matter leader in Charleston was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct Wednesday after trying to snatch a Confederate battle flag at a protest — and getting caught on live TV.

Protesters gathered outside the College of Charleston during a speech by Bree Newsome, the filmmaker and activist who famously climbed a flagpole outside the South Carolina State House and took down its Confederate flag. The South Carolina Secessionist Party planned to demonstrate against the event.

Muhiyidin Elamin Moye is the Black Lives Matter leader who was arrested, and he prefers to go by Muhiyidin d’Baha. He didn’t appreciate that a man showed up to protest Newsome’s speech with a Confederate flag, so he took matters into his own hands. Watch him jump over police tape and try to snatch away the flag in the crazy videos below.

I don’t care what your political beliefs are, that was pretty f*cking awesome. It was like the most intense game of capture the flag of all-time. Just look at this GIF.

Unbelievable. Showing Up for Racial Justice is crowdfunding money for d’Baha’s bail, and I might throw in a couple of bucks strictly for the entertainment he provided me with. d’Baha is the goddamn John Wick of Black Lives Matter.

Sacred Heart Student Nikki Yovino Charged For Lying About Being Raped By College Football Players

Two Sacred Heart College football players have been fully cleared by police after being suspended from the team last year and seeing their scholarships revoked following rape accusations. As it turns out, the alleged victim was lying the entire time.

What Happened?

Nikki Yovino, 18, of South Setauket, New York, has been charged with second-degree falsely reporting an incident and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence, according to the Connecticut Post. On October 15, police responded to a sexual assault complaint where Yovino told them she attended a Sacred Heart football club party the night before at a house on Lakeside Drive in Bridgeport. Yovino then claimed that two men pulled her into a basement bathroom and took turns forcefully sexually assaulting her.

“I don’t want to be in here, I don’t want to do anything,” police said she claimed to tell both men. “My friends are waiting for me outside, let me go outside.”

Both men admitted to having sex with Yovino, but claimed that it was consensual. Other students said it appeared as if Yovino went into the bathroom willingly with both men, which prompted Bridgeport Police Detective Walberto Cotto Jr. to further question Yovino.

What’s The Real Story?

According to the arrest warrant affidavit, one student said he overheard Yovino telling both men that she wanted to have sex with them.

“She admitted that she made up the allegation of sexual assault against the (football players) because it was the first thing that came to mind and she didn’t want to lose (another male student) as a friend and potential boyfriend. She stated that she believed when (the other male student) heard the allegation it would make him angry and sympathetic to her,” according to the affidavit.

Yovino’s attorney, Mark Sherman, said he had not yet been provided with police reports and video footage related to the case. He did, however, say that he expects Yovino to plead not guilty at her arraignment on March 3.

Who Is Nikki Yovino?

Nikki Yovino, 18, is a Sacred Heart student from South Setauket, New York. She has been released on a $5,000 bond, but still faces up to five years in prison on a federal charge of tampering if convicted.

LSU’s Greg Deichmann Hit A Bomb Out Of Alex Box Stadium

The LSU Tigers are a perennial college baseball powerhouse, as they’ve won the second most National Championships of any school. A big reason they’ve won six College World Series is that they get players like Greg Deichmann. The junior has already hit three home runs over LSU’s first five games this season, including a mammoth blast that left Alex Box Stadium. Here are videos of Deichmann’s ridiculous homer in Wednesday’s game against Hofstra.

Such a mighty wallop. Deichmann’s moonshot traveled 486 feet and left his bat at 108 mph, which in layman’s terms means that he pulverized the f*ck out of that baseball. If I were Deichmann, I’d still be rounding the bases, taking my sweet ass time getting to home plate.

I’d put on a pimp job that even Jose Bautista would think is in bad taste. I’m talking about a bat flip into the crowd, cartwheels, robot dances, and Ric Flair struts. Sportsmanship is for nerds that can’t hit baseballs a country mile.

COED Is Headed To The Daytona 500, Here’s A Glimpse Of The Expected Insanity

I am headed to my first NASCAR race, and coincidentally, it’s the biggest race in the sport. Lucky me.

Quick disclaimer: I’ve probably watched a total of 10, maybe 15 minutes of NASCAR action in my life. I grew up in the New York City area, so I always had the Yankees or the Giants or the Rangers to root for. Point being, there was little room for NASCAR when I was a kid.

However, as I got older, I started paying more attention. In fact, one of the first races I remember watching was my freshman year of high school back in 2007, when Kevin Harvick straight SNUCK one from Mark Martin, beating him by .02 seconds. People talk about overtime hockey being the most exciting thing in sport, but after some of the finishes I’ve seen at Daytona, I’d argue that if the circumstances are right, it’s final lap is the most exciting moment in sport.

But as much excitement as the race brings, the real attraction is the party before, during, and after. At least so I’ve been told. Quick second disclaimer if you haven’t been paying attention: I’ve never been to the Daytona 500. But, I have heard what it’s like, so here’s what I’m expecting.

An Atmosphere Like I’ve Never Seen

An estimated 250,000 fans attend the Daytona 500 every year. I’ve never been much of a math guy, so this puts my brain in an absolute pretzel. The largest stadium I’ve ever been to is Metlife in the Jersey Swamps, and that clocks in at around 82,500 on a good day. I literally can’t wrap my brain around something that’s three times bigger than a sold out Giants game.

Point being, the Daytona 500 atmosphere is unlike anything else in American sports and needs to be experienced in person to be truly understood and appreciated.

I’ve never been around so many people in my life, and I honestly can’t wait to see what it’s like.

Cold Coors Light on a Hot Day

From what I’ve been told by friends of mine who hit Daytona while we were in college, the only thing better than a warm day at the track is the cold beer you drink to cool yourself off.

According to my buddies (who shall remain nameless because they are now gainfully employed), Daytona is essentially the biggest day drink you’ve ever been to, except if that day drink ate the second biggest day drink you’ve ever seen, and then had baby with the third biggest day drink you’ve ever seen, and then that baby took steroids its whole life. That’s how truly massive and wild the Daytona day party is.

I don’t know about you, but that’s something I for one need to see in person because as everyone knows, day drinking is the BEST drinking.

An Experience I’ll Never Forget

(Photo by Jonathan Ferrey/Getty Images for NASCAR)

(Photo by Jonathan Ferrey/Getty Images for NASCAR)

Whether it be through my friends’ stories, highlights on SportsCenter, or pictures and videos posted on social media, everything I’ve ever seen of Daytona 500 makes it look like a once-in-a-lifetime, see-it-to-believe-it experience.

Whether you realize it or not, the Daytona 500 is on the Mount Rushmore of American sporting events, right up there with the likes of the Super Bowl, the Masters, and the World Series. NASCAR defines Americans’ love of competition just as much as any other sport we play, and for that reason, it demands our respect and attention.

Its atmosphere is a spectacle and the race is unforgettable. The crowd is astounding and the fans passionate. The weather is warm and the beer is cold.

Essentially, the Daytona 500 is the professional sports equivalent of the college experience, and because of that, it’s time we all started to get into NASCAR.

If you love old school video games, basketball, and gratuitous violence, then you’re in luck! Draymond Green’s Shut Up And Slam Jam Karate Basketball has hit the web, and the ridiculous video game will tickle all of your fancies. The game’s storyline is that a gym has been double-booked for both a karate demonstration and a charity basketball game.

Thankfully, Draymond is extremely passionate about both of these sports. You can play as either the Cobra Kings or the King Cobras, as you try to score points and beat the hell out of the other team. Besides karate kicks, you can also use weapons that fans throw onto the court.

Via SB Nation, here’s some game footage.

This video game is batshit insane in all of the best ways. It’s half Streets of Rage 2, half Barkley Shut Up and Jam!, and 100% amazing. “I’m going to dunk and kick you in the junk” might be the greatest rap lyric I’ve ever heard.

Look And Feel Like An Olympian With The Columbia CSC Mogul Jacket

Columbia CSC Mogul Jacket Review

Top of Little Whiteface / CMG LLC

The Columbia Sportswear CSC Mogul Jacket was the exact jacket that was designed for the USA, Canadian and Russian mogul teams for the Sochi 2014 Olympics. And while the jacket’s not going to make you ski like an Olympic champion, you’re definitely going to look and feel like one of them. Before my President’s Day Weekend trip to Whiteface Mountain up in Lake Placid (best skiing in the northeast), I reached out to Columbia Sportswear to see if they’d give me a jacket to review. After a few tall tales about my abilities, Columbia eventually shipped me one in time for the trip.

I opted for the “Night Tide” color which you can see in the picturesque photo above. That’s Lake Placid in the background. (S/O to SneakerPeeker for the picture).

Warmth/Performance

What I was most interested in was finding the sweet spot between a shell and a standalone jacket. Those of you who ski or snowboard know the absolute misery that is being too hot inside your jacket–when you’re literally swimming inside a sweaty jacket. That’s why layering is the best option.

Once I was on the mountain and skiing, I was surprised by how warm the actual jacket itself was. I actually had to take off a layer and open up the ventilation zippers. That was enough for me, but I can say with zero hesitation that there will be many days you could ski in just a base layer, a t-shirt to cover the belly, and the Mogul Jacket. I think I underestimated the power of the Omni-Heat reflective technology inside the jacket. Either way, this is why I ski with a backpack, I just stuffed the layer in my bag and moved on feeling much cooler.

Functionality

downloadThe fit of the jacket was great. I’m a right there between a Large and an XL depending on how much mid-mountain chili I’ve had, so I opted for the XL. It was a bit roomy, but when I finally go someplace freezing cold, I’ll appreciate the room for a hoodie or something.

The pockets and zippers were great. I never actually used the goggle pocket because I prefer to keep them on my helmet (ski safe, boys and girls) but I did put the ski pass pocket and phone pocket to good use.

There are only two things I would change in the jacket. First, I would improve upon would be the ventilation zippers. They could be a little bit better, or maybe offer two more on the sleeves. Right now they’re in the underarm, which doesn’t allow for maximum fresh air to come through. The second thing would be the eyelet inside the jacket which is meant for a headphone jack to pass through. The eyelet is too small for my helmet audio jack, but I plan on expanding it to make it work next time.

Look

I love the look of the jacket and a few people complimented me while on the Gondola on the way up. Maybe it’s because the jacket was new, maybe it was the beaming radiance I put out now that I was finally skiing, but probably it’s because the jacket looks good. There was a time where I’d opt for the black jacket, but after people complained that they couldn’t see me in a crowd I decided to make the switch.

Price: $300 $225

Now that the ski season is winding down on the East Coast, I know that some of you are looking for some great deals on ski gear. Spring is literally the best time to get your stuff.

Originally listed at $300, now the CSC Mogul Jacket has been discounted to $224.90. Obviously there are cheaper ski jackets out there for less than $200, but Columbia is a very-well known and well-respected company and (in my personal experience) their Titanium line has never disappointed. My point is their stuff lasts, which is an important factor when you’re going 35 MPH+ into trees.

Would I recommend this jacket to my friends even if I hadn’t gotten one for free? Absolutely. As stated before, it fits the bill for a quality, waterproof shell, but also adds a little bit of warmth via the OmniHeat reflective technology. It fits me perfectly, and functions very well when it comes to storing everything you need while skiing.

Boston May Outlaw Glassware Because Too Many Drunk A**Holes Use Them As Weapons In Barfights

Boston May Ban Glassware

Boston has a reputation for being a pretty wild city with pretty wild people. If you’ve ever seen The DepartedBlack Mass, The TownGone Baby GoneThe Boondock SaintsManchester By The SeaMystic River, or literally any movie even remotely involving Boston, you’d think the entire place is filled with violent sociopaths. As it turns out, it actually is.

Recently, Boston has seen a spike in glassware-related bar fights. Two local bars (Minibar and Bond Lounge) have had their glassware used in brawls recently. In one instance, a customer smashed a bottle over the head of another (admittedly, it was New Year’s Eve so intoxication levels have to be considered). In the other case, one unruly patron punched another customer before chucking a glass at another.

While glassware attacks haven’t quite reached an epidemic level, the city of Bawstahn is starting to get worried. So much so, that they’re considering taking legal action.

“If we see a pattern of glass as a weapon it will no longer be allowed,” Christine Puglini, the chairwoman of Boston’s Liquor Licensing Board, told the Boston Globe.

Woah. Imagine having citizens that are so drunk and wild that you actually have to ban a kitchen item out of fear of violence. I’m sure Will Hunting would have a snappy legal retort were he on the cast. But since he’s just a fictional character, we’ll have to leave it up to real Bostonians.

“It makes no sense to offer a legal drug – alcohol – and blame the outcome on packaging,” Michael Anthony, manager at Boston bar Townsman, told the Globe. “So you’re also going to ban forks, knives, fruitcakes, and all items that could cause bodily harm, right?”

When all is said and done, banning glassware likely won’t solve the issue of drunken bar fights. Plus, what happens if someone insults Tom Brady? What, are you not gonna smash a glass over his head?

Georgia teacher Tara Grinstead has been missing for more than 10 years and after more than a decade without any real progress, authorities have finally made a major break in the cast, WSBTV reported. Ryan Alexander Duke has been arrested and charged with the Grinstead’s murder.

What Happened?

Grinstead, a former beauty pageant queen, was last seen at a co-worker’s barbecue on October 22, 2005. She was reported missing two days later when she did not report to the county high school on Monday to teach her normal history class.

Grinstead’s sister, Anita Gattis, told The Atlantic Journal-Constitution in February 2006 that her sister would not have left the barbecue on her own. Gattis believes her sister left with someone she knew on the night of her disappearance. Her house was locked but her car, a white Mitsubishi 3000 GT, was unlocked and in the carport, with $100 in the console and clay on the tired.

“Tara never left her car unlocked and never drove on dirt roads,” Gattis said.

Grinstead’s cellphone was found by police at her home, as was a latex glove found outside.

“There was no struggle in the house. Tara was a singer. That was her talent in pageants,” Gattis said. “If someone was removing her, she’d project her voice. And she took self-defense. She’d go out kicking and screaming.”

Grinstead is the subject of the popular podcast Up and Vanished.

A source contacted the Georgia Bureau of Investigations two years ago in February with new information that led authorities to a small pond on some private property in Fitzgerald, on the north side of Ben Hill County.

“We found a few items that were mentioned from our source,” GBI Special Agent in Charge J.T. Ricketson said. “We did not find any remains or anything like that, which was disappointing to us.”

Ryan Alexander Duke

Ryan Alexander Duke has been arrested and charged by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) on the suspicion of the murder of Tara Grinstead. Tara’s disappearance has been one of the largest unsolved cases in United States history. In fact, it was the subject of an up-and-coming podcast Up and Vanished. Although the case has been highly investigated for years, Duke’s name had not turned up in many of the investigations that were made.

The investigation is far from over, and new questions are being asked, but now at least there’s been some positive movement in the disappearance of a woman who’s been gone for so long.

Who Is Ryan Alexander Duke?

Ryan Alexander Duke was a student at Irwin County School, the high school where Tara Grinstead taught. Duke graduated high school in 2002 and Grinstead disappeared in 2005, so the relationship of that connection is not yet known.

Duke was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon and a warrant was issued for his arrest Thursday morning.

What Happened?

As far as what broke the new development, there are reports that recently a new person came forward with new information. Through this interview, Ryan Alexander Duke’s name came up.

“We found a few items that were mentioned from our source,” GBI Special Agent in Charge J.T. Ricketson said in the press conference. “We did not find any remains or anything like that, which was disappointing to us.”
