Under Jorge Sampaoli, Sevilla has transitioned into more of an up-tempo and offensive-minded club. While the three-time Europa League winners may not be headed to a championship this year, they have clearly made progress as they advance into the final stages of Europe’s major club competition.

Netflix has dropped the first look at their new original movie The Discovery, which will open in select theaters and will be available globally on the streaming service on Friday, March 31.

The Discovery tells the story of the world one year after the existence of the afterlife is scientifically verified. As a result of this groundbreaking study, millions around the world have ended their own lives in order to “get there.” In this story, a man and woman fall in love while coming to terms with their own tragic pasts and the true nature of the afterlife.

The Discovery official synopsis:

In the near future, the world is off-balance. People have gained a specific knowledge, and death has lost meaning, due to a breakthrough scientific discovery by Dr. Thomas Harbor (Robert Redford): There is now definitive proof of an afterlife. While countless people have chosen suicide in order to “re-set” their existence, others go on, trying to decide what it all means. Among them is Dr. Harbor’s son Will (Jason Segel), who has arrived at his father’s isolated compound with a mysterious young woman named Isla (Rooney Mara). There, they discover the strange acolytes who help Dr. Harbor with his experiments. They are all looking to Dr. Harbor for meaning. Can Will and Isla find peace – in this place, or on the other side?

The Discovery was written by Charlie McDowell and Justin Lader and directed by McDowell as well. The film was produced by Alex Orlovsky and James D. Stern, co-produced by Erika Hampson, associate produced by Tomas Deckaj, and executive produced by Ian Bricke, Matt Levin, and Eddie Vaisman. It stars Robert Redford as Dr. Thomas Harbor, Jason Segel as Harbor’s son, and Rooney Mara as a mysterious young woman named Isla.

The Discovery will be released on Netflix on March 31.

On Sunday, February 19, Liam Purdy shocked the world with an amazing win at the 2017 Patriot League Indoor Track and Field Championship. The American University sprinter lost his right shoe during the 800-meter race, but he was still able to leave his competition in the dust. Watch Purdy put on a tremendous display of athleticism and determination in the video below.

No shoe, no problem. While Purdy winning that race with a time of 1:53.25 is highly impressive, all of those other sprinters need to be embarrassed. Losing a race to somebody with only one shoe is like getting beat in an ass-kicking contest by a one-legged man.

Purdy told The Washington Post that he lost his shoe around the halfway point of the race after another runner stepped on his heel. This is the price you pay when you have the heart of a goddamn lion.

That is one helluva battle scar.

Brittany Fultz is an elderly care worker in Sandusky, Ohio. But, more specifically, Ms. Fultz takes care of the elderly.

The 26-year-old nurse was arrested recently after she was filmed giving a 100-year-old man a lap dance in his nursing home room. Police have charged Fultz with gross sexual imposition, which is a fourth degree felony.

According to police, the victim is a male resident with dementia.

This is a tricky situation. One one hand, nurses should take their jobs seriously and act in a professional manner at all times. One the other…the dude is 100-years-old and likely won’t ever have another opportunity. Based on Fultz’s pictures, we wouldn’t mind some one-on-one medical attention from her.

The Irishman, a passion project of Martin Scorcese’s, has been in the works for decades. The film, which would star Robert De Niro and Al Pacino (and maybe Joe Pesci and Bobby Cannavale), tells the story of mob hitman Frank “The Irishman” Sheeran, who is best-known today for a supposed involvement in the death of Jimmy Hoffa. Well, after years of gestation, it looks like The Irishman is finally going to become a reality as it was recently purchased by Netflix.

Originally set for a 2018 release, it’s now more likely to arrive in 2019, premiering both on Netflix and in theaters.

In a sign of the ongoing power shift in Hollywood, Martin Scorsese’s $100-million gangster movie The Irishman, his ninth starring Robert De Niro, has been scooped up by Netflix, which is in the process of closing a deal to release the movie to its 93 million subscribers in 190 countries.

The movie was going to be backed by Paramount Pictures, but with its 12-year chairman Brad Grey heading out the door, Scorsese’s team put together another package. As someone close to the deal put it, “Scorsese’s movie is a risky deal, and Paramount is not in the position to take risks. This way, he can make the project he wants.”

In The Irishman, De Niro will be made to look 30 again by the effects masters at ILM, Benjamin-Button-style. His Heat co-star Al Pacino and other talent are still in negotiations. One possible boon for Scorsese: at Netflix, there will be no strictures on length.

The script for The Irishman was adapted by Steve Zaillian from Charles Brandt‘s book, I Heard You Paint Houses, which chronicles the life of Frank “The Irishman” Sheeran.

With films starring both De Niro and Leonardo Dicaprio lined up, it doesn’t look like Martin Scorcese plans on slowing down anytime soon, which is great news for film-loving humanity.

I absolutely despise the flaming pile of garbage that is the New York Knicks, but I always knew I liked Kristaps Porzingis. Another day, another bizarre story coming to us from none other than Rutgers University.

What appears to be fragments of human remains were discovered at a construction site of a former church where Rutgers is planning to build a mixed-use residence hall and learning community in Newark. The supposed remains were located on a portion of the lot once occupied by a church that closed in 1940.

The$70 million project is planned to include a 400-bed residence hall, retail stores, classrooms, and work spaces, according to Rutgers officials.

Statement issued by Peter T. Englot, senior vice chancellor for public affairs at Rutgers University-Newark, via NJ:

“Site preparation plans for the Honors Living-Learning Community that were filed with the State Historic Preservation Office, in keeping with state due-diligence measures, addressed the possibility of finding human remains at the site,” the University said in a statement. “Such remains have been found on a portion of the site that had been occupied by a church until it closed in 1940; the building was demolished 65 years ago.”

Englot said officials did not yet have enough information to provide specific details about the remains, which he described as fragments. The project was not being delayed because of the discovery, he said.

“We have just completed day three of a planned eight-day, due-diligence exploration approved by the State Historic Preservation Office,” Englot added in an email. “At the end of that eight-day period and after a full assessment of the site by our archaeologists, they will present us with their conclusions and proposed course of action.”

A team of archaeologists is investigating at the site, according to the University.

The planned project is considered “state-of-the-art” and expected to be a boost to Newark’s economy as the area undergoes revitalization.

Nancy Salem, a pre-school teacher in Texas, was fired after several of her anti-Semitic tweets were recently unearthed. In the tweets, Salem said things like ‘kill some Jews,’ suggested that not enough Jews died in The Holocaust, and referred to The Holocaust as the ‘LOLACHAUST.’

Salem, who graduated from Tarrant County College and taught two-year-olds at The Children’s Courtyard, an educational daycare in South Arlington, has been fired.

Additionally, Salem was one of 24 anti-Israel activists at the University of Texas caught expressing racist and violent thoughts online. Salem and the other activists were exposed by campus watchdog group called Canary Mission.

The Canary Mission claims Salem is an activist with Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) at the University of Texas, Arlington (UT Arlington) and a supporter of the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement.

Since Salem’s posts were exposed, The Children’s Courtyard’s Facebook page was flooded with messages from angry parents demanding Salem be fired.

Primark, a British retailer, has pulled a The Walking Dead t-shirt from shelves due to complaints that the shirt is racist.

The T-shirt features a picture of Lucille – Negan’s barb wire-wrapped baseball bat that he uses to beat people to death (ouch) – and the words “Eeny Meeny Miny Moe.” Check it out below.

Within the context of The Walking Dead, the phrase is not considered racist among fans. The children’s rhyme is used when Negan is choosing from a lineup of characters to be on the receiving end of a Lucille beatdown. “Eeny meeny miny moe, catch a tiger by its toe,” he says in the scene. However, the rhyme does have an offensive origin and has historically been phrased as, “Eeny meeny miny moe, catch a n***er by his toe.”

“It was fantastically offensive and I can only assume that no-one in the process of ordering it knew what they were doing or were aware of its subliminal messages,” one shopper told The Telegraph. “It is directly threatening of a racist assault, and if I were black and were faced by a wearer I would know just where I stood.”

Some fans have taken to Twitter to voice their disagreement with Primark for pulling the shirt.

A spokesperson for Primark issued the following apology on behalf of the retailer:

“The t-shirt in question is licensed merchandise for the U.S. television series, The Walking Dead, and the quote and image are taken directly from the show. Any offense caused by its design was wholly unintentional and Primark sincerely apologizes for this.”

Pi Kappa Phi History

Pi Kappa Phi was founded by Andrew Kroeg, Simon Fogarty, and Harry Mixson at the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina on December 10, 1904. Pi Kappa Phi grew rapidly, as a second chapter was formed at Presbyterian College in 1907 and a third chapter at the University of California, Berkeley in 1909.

December 14, 2015 was the Season two finale of Fargo. That’s a loooong time for a TV show to be away, but showrunner Noah Hawley hasn’t been sitting around playing in that North Dakota snow all this time. He’s continued to hone his skills by creating FX’s equally popular new series Legion. No doubt he’s learned some new tricks that will make this new season of Fargo even better.

When Does Fargo Return/Start?

Fargo will return for its third season on April 19. Due to Hawley’s commitment to Legion and the need for wintery conditions to properly shoot Fargo, the show was unable to air a new season in 2016.

Review of Fargo Season 2

Fargo‘s second season was arguably a flawless year of television. Taking place roughly 30 years before the events of season 1, Hawley places a younger version of Lou Solverson (Molly’s father) at the center of a bloody battle between a local crime family and the bigwigs from Kansas City trying to encroach on their turf. The powdered keg is lit when the unrelated but not entirely innocent couple of Ed and Peggy Blumquist accidentally enter the fray in murderous fashion. What Hawley manages to do with these thinly connected stories is nothing short of spectacular. Fargo manages to interweave different threads and characters in seamless fashion while maintaining empathy and development for each of the season’s many moving pieces. The oddball humor that everyone loved from both the movie and the first season is present throughout, giving season two the perfect balance of light and dark. From the acting to the creative narration and presentation, the second season made a strong case for Fargo as TV’s best series.

Fargo Season 3 Plot

“Set in 2010, the third installment of Fargo centers on ‘Emmit’ and his slightly younger brother ‘Ray Stussy’ (Ewan McGregor). Emmit, the Parking Lot King of Minnesota, sees himself as an American success story, whereas Ray is more of a cautionary tale. Cannon already has two five-year-old twins with ex-wife Mariah Carey: son Moroccan and daughter Monroe. This time, Cannon baby daddied 2010 Miss Arizona Brittany Bell.

The baby’s birth comes a week after Cannon quit his hosting gig on NBC’s America’s Got Talent after hosting the show for eight seasons. Sources told TMZ that the reason Cannon quit was because he was devastated when he learned the show’s executives was considering firing him because of a race bit in his recent Showtime standup special.

‘I grew up like a real n****r. But I honestly believe, once I started doing America’s Got Talent, they took my real n****r card,’ he quipped.

As much as Cannon grinds my gears, I have to give him credit for longevity. He’s been annoying me for two decades, yet here I am, writing about his baby Golden Sagon.
