Over the weekend, a six-foot goanna lizard walked into Mimosa Wines & Drystone Restaurant in New South Wales, Australia. The gigantic reptile must not have had a reservation because waitress Samia Lila quickly removed it from the restaurant.

What a badass. Samia dragged that lizard out of there like it was a garbage bag full of stale rolls. If I saw that thing come into my place of employment, I’d be out of there so fast it’d make your head spin. I’m most definitely not “goanna” tangle with any goddamn prehistoric looking beasts.

Or at the very least, I’d hop onto a chair like this quick-thinking diner.

The dramatic eviction of the lizard was all the more astonishing because, according to her boss Glen Butson, Lila is “terrified of spiders.” 

“She scans for them [and] can spot a daddy long legs at 40 meters,” he told Australia’s ABC News. “But she had no fear at all of that goanna.”

Guðni Th. Jóhannesson made a bold statement recently in regards to a diabolical pizza topping, and I can only hope that the rest of the free world follows his lead. Here’s CNN with the scoop on this pressing matter.

After taking questions from students at a high school in North Iceland, one bold pupil asked Johannesson what he thought about pineapple as a pizza topping. The president held nothing back expressing his disdain for the pairing. He also said if he had the power to pass laws, he’d ban it across the land, the local news site Visir reported.

If Donald Trump wants to get the American people on his side, this is what he needs to do. Instead of worrying about immigrants, he should place his focus on this sinister fruit’s unrelenting quest to ruin one of our country’s most beloved delicacies. Pineapples as a pizza topping is a serious problem that has been doing its damnedest for years to try to tear apart the very fabric of this great nation. It’s finally time to put an end to this bullshit once and for all.

In a related note, I would eat the f*ck out of all of these border wall inspired pizzas that are popping up. I may hate pineapples on my pizza, but I am still a huge fan of gluttony.

The first photos of veteran LAPD Keith Boyer’s murderer have been released.

Michael Mejia, 26, shot and killed Officer Boyer 54, on Monday morning when the officer approached him at the scene of a crash in Whittier, California, around 23 miles southeast of Los Angeles.

The convict also shot Boyer’s partner Patrick Hazel, who is currently recovering at a hospital in a stable condition.

Mejia was on the run in a stolen car after murdering his own cousin earlier in the day, authorities said. He was recently released from prison, getting out of jail only a week before shooting the divorced father.

Authorities said Mejia was involved in a car crash near the area of Colima Road and Mar Vista Street. When the two officers approached Mejia and tried to search him for weapons, Mejia opened fire with a semi-automatic handgun, officials said.

At least one officer returned fire, striking Mejia.

All three were rushed to local hospitals. Boyer, a 53-year-old father and full-time member of the force since 1990, was pronounced dead.

Police in Dubrovnik, Croatia, will file misdemeanor charges for disturbing the public order against two men who allegedly hurled racial slurs at Jamie Foxx. The two men verbally assaulted Foxx while he was at a restaurant in Dubrovnik, where he is filming Robin Hood: Origins.

Police arrived at the Croatian restaurant around 10:00 P.M., where they found a 44-year-old and a 50-year-old insulting restaurant staff and guests, including Foxx. The older of the two men is the one who insulted Foxx.

According to Total Croatia News, police did not officially report which guests had been victims. However, Foxx posted a video of the incident to his Instagram page (which have since been deleted) of Foxx saying the two men called him a “crnčuga,” which is the n-word in Croatian.

The day before, Foxx posted a video to his Instagram of the gorgeous views in Croatia.

Karrueche Tran, a model and Chris Brown’s ex-girlfriend, filed a temporary domestic violence restraining order against Brown.

According to TMZ, Tran stated in legal documents that the singer, who was arrested in 2009 for beating up Rihanna, threatened to kill her.

Karrueche claims in a sworn statement to the judge, earlier this month Chris “told a few people that he was going to kill me.” She then says Chris told the friends if he can’t have her then no one else can, threatening he was going to “take me out” and “threatened to shoot me.”

Karrueche also says several years ago Chris “punched me in my stomach twice,” and “pushed me down the stairs.” This would have been during the time Chris was on probation for the Rihanna beating.

The legal docs also claim Chris has threatened to harm her friends and even recently threw a drink at one of them.

The restraining order lasts until Tran appears in court in March.

Obviously, I’m not a fan of domestic violence, and I feel bad for Karrueche, but how you gonna get in a relationship with the dude who’s basically famous for beating up his girlfriend, and then be surprised when he pulls the same bullshit? When I was a little, I always told my mom I wanted to be a cop. Not a cool, Bruce Willis-esque hero cop, but more of a Kevin James type of suburban cop. Even as a kid, I could tell that suburban cops have it made. Write a couple of speeding tickets, bust teenagers’ balls over a gram of bud, break up the occasionally domestic disturbance. In fact, I’m pretty sure cops in my childhood hometown clear about $100k a year. Do that for 20-25 years then cash out with a fat pension. Minimal risk, high reward.

This is another example of the type of child’s play suburban cops have to deal with. Police from Suffield, a small Connecticut town, had to remind everyone “to NEVER open your doors to any unfamiliar cattle.”

Suffield Police were originally called to the area of North Street/Rt. 75 after a vehicle driving by saw “some cows walking on the side of the road and in people’s yards,” Sgt. Geoffrey Miner said.

When officers pulled up to the scene, they found the cows standing outside of a home, right at the front door.

“The cows got out because part of the fence was broken.  It’s an electrical wire fence, electricity was off, one of the wires was broken, so plenty of opportunity to escape,” added Miner.

Cows, let it be known if you ever rang my doorbell, I’d happily open. It’s not every day that a cow shows up on your doorstep, so that’s gotta be some kind of good luck.

On February 13, Harrison Ford almost crashed his plane into a 737 jet at John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California. A newly released video shows just how close Harrison Ford came to disaster when he botched the landing of his plane at a California airport and passed just feet above an American Airlines 737.

In one video, you can see the 74-year-old Ford’s single-engine plane flashing over the fuselage of an American Airlines plane loaded with more than 100 passengers and a six-person crew.  

As earlier reported, Ford asked air control, “Was that airliner meant to be underneath me?” just seconds after the incident.

Ford, an experienced pilot who collects vintage planes, had been instructed to land on runway 20-L at John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California, but mistakenly aimed for a taxiway, instead. His plane passed over the top of an American Airlines 737 carrying 110 passengers and a six-person crew.

The passenger plane, AA Flight 1456, managed to depart safely for Dallas just minutes after the incident. Ford, 74, was heard on air traffic control recordings asking, “Was that airliner meant to be underneath me?”

Air traffic controllers then informed Ford that he had landed on a taxiway rather than the runway — a violation of Federal Aviation Administration safety rules.

The FAA told NBC News that controllers gave Ford the proper landing instructions and that he read them back.

Brittany Fultz, an elderly care worker, has been arrested in Sandusky, Ohio after she was filmed performing lewd sexual acts on a 100-year-old man in his nursing home room.

Fultz, 26, has been charged with gross sexual imposition after the incident was filmed at The Commons of Providence in Sandusky (coincidence?), Ohio, last December. Gross sexual imposition is a fourth-degree felony.

The video was taken by another former caregiver who was in the room at the time. The footage shows Fultz doing lewd acts in front of the man and then straddling his leg, Bath said.

“She is basically harassing him. It’s disturbing. She is touching him. This was not something he wanted.” said Sandusky Detective Anthony Bath.

“I can show you new things, I can show you new things,” Fultz can be heard saying on the video. The video also allegedly shows Fultz pulling down her pants and “mooning” the elderly resident.

Fultz was booked into the Erie County jail Friday on a gross sexual imposition charge and was released from jail the same day. It’s possible she could face additional charges.

Ethan Turnbull, 24, and his buddy Bennett Jonas, 23, were skateboarding in Manhattan Monday night when they saw ice in a frozen pond collapse. After quickly realizing that some children had fallen through the ice, these two bros risked their lives to save the seven teens from the freezing Central Park pond.

Seven children between the ages of 10 and 16 were taking selfies on the ice when the frozen lake cracked and the teens were submerged under the freezing water.

Two skateboarders who happened to be nearby raced to their rescue, and by the time firefighters arrived at the park by 59th Street and Central Park South, the kids had been pulled out of the water, witnesses and officials said. Some of the children and teens were recovering from hypothermia-related injuries at Bellevue and two other area hospitals on Tuesday morning, officials said.

The good Samaritans, Bennett Jonas and Ethan Turnbull, told reporters they saw the kids dancing on top of the ice, then suddenly plunging into the water.

“I look over, I saw six heads just trying to get to the shore,” said Jonas. “The back one was probably a good 20 yards from dry land.”

“The last two at the end, the kid at the end was unconscious,” said Turnbull. “[Jonas] got him out, he was kind of out of breath, and [Jonas] threw him to me. I just kind of minded him until he came to.”

All seven children were pulled out safely and treated for hypothermia, with one being hospitalized.

Meet Nathan Testa, an Australian teenager who got the once-in-a-lifetime experience of performing on stage with Bruce Springsteen. Well, once in a lifetime if you’re a regular person– apparently Testa has shared the stage with Springsteen before, when the rock legend played a concert in Brisbane.

This time, Testa was called up on stage after holding up a sign requesting to share a song with The Boss. The sign read: “Missed school, in the s— now, can I play Growin’ Up with you?” out loud to the masses.

“Do you know the song?” Springsteen yelled out. “You know it on guitar?…Well come on up!”

Last night, the first trailer for The Rock’s new HBO documentary was released on his YouTube channel. The documentary is called Rock and a Hard Place, which is an absolutely fantastic pun. Rock and a Hard Place is centered around the Miami-Dade County Corrections and Rehabilitation Department Boot Camp, and you can check out its trailer in the video below.

Chills City, Population: This Guy. Call me crazy, but I’m predicting a 100% success rate with this group of inmates. This is a real headline: Michigan State–an establishment of “adults”–is being forced to ban white boards on dorm room doors because they have become “platforms of harassment”. Often times there are reports of offensive language written on white boards and no one knows who wrote it.

I’m gonna throw a wild suggestion out there: if you don’t want people to write on the whiteboard on your door DON’T LEAVE A DRY-ERASE MARKER ON IT. Or as a back up plan you could just erase it.

Now, in some cases if this “offensive language” is racist than thats obviously not OK, and that should go without saying. But from my experience in the dorms the white board vandalism i witnessed fell into pretty much three categories: One, people writing the word “Hi” on the white board. Two, people writing their friends phone number and “call me” on a white board in hopes that their friend gets random phone calls. And three, penises… lots of penises. While these may be annoying they were nothing to freak out about and also they can be erased… it’s called a dry erase board after all. Maybe it’s changed in the three years since I’ve been out of the dorms but it seems like a little bit of an oxymoron to ban an erasable surface because people are writing on it. I guess if the freshmen feel the need to draw penises on white boards they will have to do it in the study lounges from now on.

Juventus visits Porto on Wednesday in the Champions League Round of 16 for their first-leg matchup. The game kicks off at 2:45 PM EST on Fox Sports 2.

Juventus have won their last seven matches, in part thanks to striker Gonzalo Higuain, who has scored 13 goals in his last 12 games. As for Porto, they have won their last 6 straight games.

Juventus will most likely be without defenders Andrea Barzagli and Giorgio Chiellini, however,  Miralem Pjanic, the Bosnia midfielder, is expected to return to the starting lineup. As for the Portuguese side, they will be playing at full health.
