For many of us, today is the first day back in the working world in about two weeks. I don’t know about you, but my brain is mush, and my morale may be at an all-time low. Nothing will make you question your existence like the first work day of a new year. Just an overall shock to the system to remind you how monotonous and repetitive your meaningless life has become. It’s no big deal.

And that’s why this video is coming in CLUTCH today, as a reminder that joy can and does exist in this cold, dark world. Nothing like a little homie getting geeked up on his favorite superhero. As someone who has loved comic books for as long as I can remember, I understand how important superheroes are to some kids.

There’s really no two ways about it: Dan Bilzerian is the modern-day version of Hugh Hefner. Dan’s not nearly as slick as Hugh (or as cultured) but that’s unfortunately kind of where we’re at in society. He doesn’t have a magazine or a TV show, but he’s got social media, which is all you need these days. You can’t deny this guy’s place in pop culture today. Megyn Kelly is reportedly leaving Fox News for NBC.

Kelly, who arrived at Fox News 12 years ago, has decided to leave the network to take on a new role at NBC News for an undisclosed amount, sources briefed on the negotiations told the New York Times.

NBC News chairman, Andrew Lack, was able to bring Kelly to 30 Rock by offering her multiple roles. Kelly will host her own daytime news and discussion program, anchor an in-depth Sunday night program, as well as take regular part in NBC special political programming.

Kelly, who became Fox News’ second-most watched host after Bill O’Reily, gained national notoriety over the last year due to her ongoing feud with President-elect Donald Trump. The loss of Kelly, one of the network’s brightest stars, comes just months after the ousting of founding chairman Roger Ailes, who was accused of sexual harassment by several former employees.

Zach Fernandez, a man also known as “Jesushands,” has claimed responsibility for the “Hollyweed” prank that took place in the first hours of 2017. For those of you unfamiliar with the story, Fernandez temporarily altered parts of the famous Hollywood sign so that it would read “Hollyweed,” and not the traditional “Hollywood.” The prank was extremely popular on social media, with influencers and celebrities like Steve-O congratulating the prankster.

It’s not yet known if police are looking to arrest Fernandez, but he could be charged with trespassing.

Back in 2010, Hugh Hefner donated $900,000 to preserve the 138 acres of Mount Lee to make sure that the Hollywood sign wouldn’t be taken down by developers looking to cash in on the property.

Who Is Zach Fernandez?

Zach Fernandez is a videographer/artist who has claimed responsibility for the “Hollyweed” prank. Currently he’s only at 3,500+ followers on Instagram, so the stunt could be a great way for him to raise the number of followers. That being said, he has posted almost 2,000 photos to the social media app, so Zach has clearly been using the site for a while.

Under the cover of dark, Fernandez snuck up Mount Lee at 3:00 A.M. to change the sign. In the photo below, you can see that black tarps were used to cover sections of the two O’s and white sheets were then used to turn them into E’s.

Starting at 8:00 A.M. PST, LG is expected to release the showing of the new OLED TVs. This is one of the more anticipated showings but is not a slam dunk to be announced. However, LG has already announced the showing of their robot vacuum cleaner, refrigerator, air conditioner, washing machine, wearable neck speaker, and 360 camera. Much to see here.

Toyota

Live at 1:00 P.M. PST, Toyota says they will feature a vehicle concept that points t0 the “critical importance of UX in the development of highly automated vehicles and robots.” Tune in for more details here, live.

Sony

Nothing is certain on this end, but Sony could also unveil their OLED TVs and additionally their new 4k Xperia smartphone. Their show will begin at 5:00 P.M. PST.

Samsung

The press conference will start at 2:00 P.M. PST and could include the expected U.S. prices for the new Galaxy A mid-range handsets. It’s rumored their Galaxy S8 announcement will be held for Mobile World Congress later in the year, but this event could show off new technology in foldable screens.

Thursday, January 5

Dell

Dell will take the stage at 2:00 P.M. PST and unveil their 2-in-1 version of the XPS laptop. This is known because it was already leaked on Dell’s website. Price of the new product can be purchased starting January 5 for $1,000.

Deloitte & Touche LLP

Netflix, YouTube, and Amazon have enticed many to “cut the cord” and stream all television viewership. Erin Scanlon will speak at 9:00 A.M. PST to discuss options from a la carte to bundle premiums.

11:00 A.M. PST the show will begin with “Uncarrier Next” to be discussed. They have kept what exactly that means under wraps, so this will be the time and place to find out.

USC football has historic success in winning games and for producing great running backs. The nickname “Tailback U” was coined as far back as the late 1960s and early ’70s and carried all the way through the early 2000s with little downfall between. While there hasn’t been a standout in the past decade or so, the Trojans unquestionably have the most consistent timeline of churning out guys from the backfield. Narrowing it down to a handful, ranked are the top five to play in Los Angeles.

5. Charles White (1976-79)

Born: Los Angeles, California
Height: 5’10”
Weight: 190 lbs

White’s pinnacle at USC would come in his junior and senior seasons with a National Championship ring in 1978 and a Heisman Trophy in 1979. In both of those seasons, he was Pac-10 Player of the Year and a unanimous All-American. He is one of just four individuals to be named Rose Bowl Player of the Game on two occasions.

In 1980, he declared for the NFL Draft where he was taken by the Cleveland Browns with the 27th overall pick. He would play eight seasons in the NFL and during this time he was a Pro Bowler and rushing yards leader in 1987. In total, he rushed for 3,075 yards and 24 touchdowns.

4. Mike Garrett (1962-65)

Born: Los Angeles, California
Height: 5’9″
Weight: 190 lbs

Garrett, like most on this list (spoiler: all), is a former Heisman Trophy winner, taking the honors back in 1965. The LA native brought prototypical size with a low center of gravity and the build of a fire hydrant. This helped him rush for a career 3,221 yards and 30 touchdowns, numbers unheard of during the era. During the Heisman season, he cracked 1,440 yards on 267 carries while also catching 36 balls and returned 43 punts and 30 kickoffs. For good measure, he threw six passes behind the line of scrimmage for two touchdowns.

Several years after his playing career, which included eight seasons in the NFL for the Kansas City Chiefs and San Diego Chargers and a Super Bowl IV victory, Garrett was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1985.

3. Marcus Allen (1978-81)

Born: San Diego, California
Height: 6’2″
Weight: 210 lbs

Allen is well known for his time with the NFL’s Raiders, helping the organization win Super Bowl XVIII during the team’s time in Los Angeles from 1982-1992. Allen would receive the game’s MVP award by rushing for 191 yards and scoring two touchdowns in a win over the Redskins in 1984. He also won Rookie of the Year in 1982 and league MVP in 1985. His bust resides in Canton, Ohio as a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame in an illustrious 15-year career.

However, greatness didn’t start in the NFL, as Allen moved north from San Diego to attend USC in 1978. Recruited as a defensive back, he was immediately switched to the offensive backfield and there he helped the Trojans win a National Championship in his first season, albeit as a backup. After a one-year stint as fullback in 1979, he was given full duties of the tailback position and ranked third in the nation for rushing yards with 1,563. He lost out in Heisman consideration due to the monster season of South Carolina’s George Rogers. He made up for it in 1982, receiving the award due to a 2,342 rushing total and leading the nation in scoring.

To this day, he is one of just three players to rush for more than 200 yards in a game 12 separate times. His career totals include 4,664 rushing yards, 46 touchdowns and a 5.2 average per carry. Allen’s number 33 jersey is retired at USC and is a member of the College Football Hall of Fame.

2. Reggie Bush (2003-05)

Bush is the only man on this list to win two National Championships (2003, 2004) over the course of his college career. He was a Heisman finalist in 2004 but ended up finishing fifth in the voting. He would win the honor in 2005 but later was asked to give back the trophy after the controversy that swarmed the USC campus. Wasting no time prior to that, Bush was one of the more dynamic freshman players college football has ever seen. He was lethal in the running, receiving, and returning games where he amassed 1,331 all-purpose yards and was an All-American.

Taken with the second overall pick in the 2005 NFL Draft, Bush helped the New Orleans Saints win Super Bowl XLIV over the Indianapolis Colts. While he has had a successful NFL career, the pre-draft hype that surrounded Bush never fully materialized in the NFL.

For Bush, the legacy was built mostly in California. In all, Bush rushed for 3,169 yards and 25 touchdowns, received for 1,301 yards and 13 touchdowns, returned 1,522 yards for one score on kick returns, and gained 559 yards and scored three times on punt returns as a Trojan.

Despite the NFL disappointment, there was no question Bush was the most indispensable player on a USC roster that appeared in three straight national title games from 2003-05.

1. O.J. Simpson (1967-68)

Born: San Francisco, California
Height: 6’1″

Eliminating everything outside of the gridiron, O.J. Simpson is one of the best players to ever run the football. Despite only playing for two seasons at USC, he was highly productive from the beginning and beyond.

In 1967, he gained 1,543 yards on the ground and scored 13 touchdowns but fell just short of winning the Heisman. He would win it the next season after going for a career-high 1,880 yards and 22 touchdowns on a whopping 383 carries. Simpson still holds the largest margin of victory for a Heisman winner, creating a 1,750 point gap.

He would do more severe damage in the NFL with the Buffalo Bills, who drafted him with the first overall pick in the 1969 NFL Draft. He would win league MVP in 1973 and be a five-time first team All-Pro. He led the league in rushing four times including back-to-back years twice. Simpson would earn five straight Pro Bowl nods and play in the NFL for ten years, the last two coming with the San Francisco 49ers.

In his career, he totaled 11,236 yards for a 4.7 average per carry and scored 61 touchdowns in the NFL. He was inducted into the Pro Football and College Football Hall of Fame.

While some of his totals don’t exceed everyone else on this list, “The Juice” was the most dominant player when in his prime both in college and the NFL and it wasn’t particularly close. This is especially true when considering the age of time.

By and large, Southern California has been the standard for generating running backs in the game of football.

Instead of blowing some noise makers like a total dweeb, Romano got a running start and delivered a picture-perfect belly flop onto a police car windshield shortly after midnight on Sunday. After a scuffle with cops, Romano was taken into custody and transported to a local hospital for treatment. He was then booked into the county jail on multiple charges, including battery to a law enforcement officer, disorderly conduct, and criminal damage to property.

Investigators say that Romano “had been drinking” prior to his ill-conceived execution of the January 1 belly flop in Menasha, a city about 35 miles south of Green Bay.

He’d been drinking!?!? I refuse to believe it. If I’m his lawyer, I’m pleading temporary insanity after becoming deeply distressed due to Mariah Carey’s trainwreck of a performance.

Pamela Marks of Valatie, New York has the dope job of writing a blog where she posts reviews of children’s toys and clothes. For the last two years, various companies have shipped items to Marks for her reviewal. She has never had any problems (although this is FAR from a problem) until now. Marks was expecting a delivery from a California-based toy company, but when the package arrived, instead of a toy, Marks found about seven pounds of marijuana instead. And like a total clueless narc, she reported it to the police.

According to CBS 6, Marks says she has been writing her review blog for two years and gets 22,000 hits per month.

“It’s very bizarre, anybody who knows me, knows I don’t drink, I don’t smoke, I don’t do drugs, so for me to get this package was totally one in a million,” Mrs. Marks said.

A spokesman in the Columbia County Sheriff’s Department says the agency confiscated the drugs and is investigating. The package containing the marijuana was shipped from JAKKS Pacific, a publicly traded company with annual sales in the hundreds of millions of dollars. The company did respond to an email request for comment, nor did they return our phone calls.

If Marks had any semblance of a brain, she woulda used the Google machine and done a quick little math on the ole’ calculator to figure out how much she could have made from that righteous herb.  By my calculations, she could have gotten close to $15K for her surprise weed.

What a waste. If anyone wants to accidentally send me some weed, feel free to hit me up. I’d be happy to oblige.

New York’s Governor Andrew M. Cuomo announced his plan Tuesday morning to offer free tuition at state colleges for middle and low-income New Yorkers. Under Cuomo’s plan, any college student who has been accepted to a state or city university in New York (including two-year community colleges) will be eligible provided they or their family earn $125,000 or less annually. The program will be called the Excelsior Scholarship.

Mr. Cuomo, a Democrat, unveiled his proposal at an event at LaGuardia Community College in Queens alongside Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont, who had sought their party’s presidential nomination with a similar stance last year, arguing that student debt was crippling the prospects of generations of young Americans. Called the Excelsior Scholarship, the funds are envisioned as a way to complete tuition payments by supplementing existing state and federal loan and grant programs.

While it was not revealed how the program is going to be paid for, the administration said New York state has already pledged nearly $1 billion in support through its tuition assistance program.

If the Excelsior Scholarship plan is approved, estimates show that the program would allow nearly a million New York families to qualify. The estimated costs of the Excelsior Scholarship program are around $165 million. A three-year rollout of the Excelsior Scholarship will begin in the fall.

Overall, this is a natural progression for both Cuomo and the American higher education system. Both Cuomo and Americans as a nation have been trending towards reducing the cost of college and this is yet another step in that direction.

The average tuition of New York state universities is $6,470 for state residents.

Excelsior, which means ‘ever upward’ in latin,  is the New York state motto.

In an especially cruel twist of fate, Fisher’s mother Debbie Reynolds died just a day after Fisher left us. The 84-year-old actress passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 from a suspected stroke.

Megyn Kelly Net Worth As Of 2017: $15 Million

Ms. Kelly’s net worth rolls in at a cool $15 million. She’s earned a lot in her lifetime. Fox News has really blessed her with an impressive salary. But now, she’s onto greener pastures with NBC. $15 million is pretty damn green, if you ask me. She’s really kicked ass in her job. She’s controversial, accomplished, intelligent, and has some serious sex appeal. Not everyone may agree with what she says, but a lot of people love to watch her talk and hear what she has to say. And with NBC job just over the horizon, her net worth will only get bigger and bigger. And $15 million is already a yuge amount!

Megyn earned a degree in political science from Syracuse University in 1992, and later received a J.D. from Albany Law School in 1995. She then moved onto her career in the law field, becoming an associate in a Chicago law office. While still working in the Chicago office, she co-wrote an article for the the American Bar Association’s journal, Litigation, called “The Conflicting Roles of Lawyer as Director.” She then spent the next nine years in the international law firm Jones Day before moving onto television.

In 2003, she switched gears and began a career as a TV reporter. She moved over to Washington DC and began working for ABC affiliate WJLA-TV as a general assignment reporter. She really cut her teeth into the media industry in DC, where she provided live coverage for the 2004 Presidential Election. In 2004, she moved onto Fox News. And the rest would be history.

2004 – 2015

That year, Kelly began her career with Fox News, providing legal segments for Special Report with Bret Hume. She also hosted her own legal segment called Kelly’s Court during Weekend Live. In addition, she appeared on the O’Reilly Factor and Greta Van Susteren’s On the Record, sometimes filling in for Greta as the host. In February 2010, she got her own Fox News called America Live, where she received excellent ratings. Later that year, she hosted a New Year’s Eve special with Bill Hemmer.

In 2012, she covered the 2012 Presidential Election and verbally jousted with Karl Rove on his position. She’s one tough cookie (this is an understatement). In 2013, she moved away from America Live and transitioned to The Kelly File. That show ended up being a monster in the ratings, sometimes overtaking Fox News’ usual top-rated show: The O’Reilly Factor.

In December 2013, she dished out some controversy, when she basically told her audience that both Santa Claus and Jesus Christ are white and can’t be black. She later said these comments were “tongue-in-cheek” and that Jesus’ skin color still isn’t confirmed. I’m sure she regrets making these comments. They’re not only offensive, but downright silly. Why is it so important to make this distinction? Come on, Santa Claus? Give me a break! And last time I checked, Bethlehem isn’t a place in Europe. And neither is the North Pole. But I guess she is accurate in regards to the commercial and traditional image of these two. Watch her defend herself against someone offended by her Santa Claus statement:

2015 – 2017

In June 2015, Megyn Kelly created even more controversy. She covered the child molestation case surrounding the show 19 Kids and Counting. Subsequently, her show received very high ratings for this segment (much more than he average 2.11 million viewers). This interview gave Kelly over 3 million viewers, just behind coverage of the Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 and the Ferguson Riots.

Megyn Kelly got yuge attention in August 2015 for the Republican Party’s presidential debate. And I mean yuge! She called out The Donald himself for comments he made towards certain women that could have been deemed as sexist and body shaming. Trump was so upset with Kelly’s comments that he didn’t show up to the Iowa debate on January 28, 2016. After the debate and off-camera, she referred to Trump as Voldemort. Can you see the resemblance?

However, Kelly did meet with “Voldemort” in April at Trump Tower for “a chance to clear the air.” She was notably less critical of Trump in this interview. Though, she did criticize him in regards to his harsh opinions on Judge Gonzalo Paul Curiel handling the Trump University court case. Kelly also got plenty of media attention for her discussion with Newt Gingrich regarding the leaked audio tape of Trump and Billy Bush in a bus (also sexual).

In May 2016, she hosted a one-hour prime-time special on Fox, where she interviewed celebrities from the spheres of “politics, entertainment, and other areas of human interest.” This special received 4.8 million viewers. 2016 was also Kelly’s last year on contract with Fox News, so contract negotiations were intense (she wanted to get a raise similar to Bill O’Reilly’s current yearly salary, which would be $20 million annually). But Kelly’s relationship with Fox News is a bit rocky. She also alleges that Roger Ailes sexually harassed her while employed for the company. She makes this revelation in her memoir Settle For More.

Now, she is leaving her troubled Fox News home for someplace new. NBC News has welcomed Kelly with open arms. She will be the anchor of a new one hour daytime show. And the big bucks will keep on rolling for Megyn.

Ohio State University, who had themselves a hell of a 2016 and made it to the National Championship Semi-Final game, put up a clunker of a game against Clemson in the Fiesta Bowl last Saturday. The final score was 0-31, meaning that pretty much the entire OSU team (offense, defense, special teams) and the coaching staff had the worst game of their season. But one Ohio State University fan decided to send an enormously sh*tty email to one person in particular: the kicker, Tyler Durbin.

For those of you who don’t remember or cared to watch, Durbin went 0-2 in field goals, which means that OSU lost out on a total of six points. They still would have needed to find another 25 points from… somewhere. But all that seems to be forgotten in this frankly heinous email sent by OSU fan/student Trey Weisman to Durbin.

(Normally I’d say that there’s a good chance that this is fake/bunk, but this email was actually tweeted out by the Ohio State Special Teams team aka @BuckSpecialists so I believe it)

On tonight’s thrilling edition of WWE SmackDown Live, the Intercontinental Championship will be on the line between champion The Miz and challenger Dean Ambrose. Meanwhile, John Cena & WWE World Champion AJ Styles will sign their contract for their match at the Royal Rumble. Dolph Ziggler will against face off against a long-time foe in the form of “The Lone Wolf” Baron Corbin. WWE SmackDown will be live from the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida.

WWE Intercontinental Championship match: The Miz (c) vs. Dean Ambrose

There was an intense back-and-forth encounter. Both competitors looked awesome in this contest. The match almost ended when Maryse once again slapped Ambrose. After a long fight, Maryse got tired of seeing her man get beat on by The Lunatic Fringe. The referee was about to disqualify The Miz and end the match, but Ambrose stopped the ref in his tracks. He requested that Maryse be ejected from ringside instead, and the referee agreed. But then out of nowhere, The Miz hits Ambrose in the back of the head with the IC title. He pins Ambrose 1…2…kick out.  Dean rallies back and gets Miz into the his finisher: The Dirty Dead. Game set and match. We have a new WWE Intercontinental champion. And he’s a freaking lunatic. Happy 2017, people.

In-ring Segment: Trash Talk with Natalya & Nikki Bella

Both talk crap about the other. Nikki says that Natalya would be nothing without her family name. Natalya says she’s better than all her legendary family members. She then says that all Nikki is is beautiful and once she loses that beauty, John will leave her and she will die alone. Harsh, Nattie! Nikki follows this up with a devastating forearm and knocks Nattie to the mat.

Backstage: Dean Ambrose deals with a stuttering, nervous interviewer. He walks out to the ring for his match against The Miz.

Before the match between The Miz and Dean Ambrose, we get a most lovely and delightful promo from “The Extraordinary Gentlemen” Jack Gallaher.

Breezango vs. American Alpha

The policeman stripper duo Breezango are coming out looking hilarious. Out next comes American Alpha to kick ass. A video package is shown of American Alpha defeating the Wyatt Family last week for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship.

Carmella vs. Aliyah

Carmella was very dominant in this match. Alayiah, or whatever her name is, had control towards the end, but then that chinless fiend James Ellsworth tried to trip up Alayiah and distracted her long enough for Carmella to capitalize. Carmella locks in a unique-looking submission hold called The Code of Silence.

In-ring Segment: Contract Signing for the match between WWE World ChampionAJ Styles & John Cena at Royal Rumble 2017

Daniel Bryan’s music hits to start off the segment. Out next comes Cena. Then out comes AJ Styles. If good guys and bad guys were determined by the crowd reaction than Cena would be the heel and Styles would be the face. Soon Bryan left the room and let the wrestlers talk smack to each other.

Styles calls Cena a has-been. He calls Cena that he became a sellout like The Rock, but with less potential in Hollywood. Cena gets intense and intimidating. But Styles appears unfazed. Cena says he’s gonna shut him up at the Royal Rumble. Out comes Baron Corbin. He announces his attention to win the Royal Rumble match. Cena talks smack to Corbin. Corbin threatens to knock Cena’s teeth down his throat. Cena motions “let’s go, bro,” takes off his shirt, flips over the table and stares down Corbin. Styles does a pele kick on Cena. Styles leaves Cena for Corbin. But Instead of picking the bones, Corbin talks crap to Cena and leaves.

Backstage, Maryse slaps the sh*t outta Renee Young.

Becky Lynch vs. La Luchadora

Lynch is very dominant early on. She’s really pouncing on the mysterious masked grappler. The crowd is cheering for Becky and her lass-kicking ways. She tosses her opponent with the becksploder. La Luchadora went under the ring. Another wrestler came from the other side. Twin magic. I predict she’s Brie Bella. Becky applies the disarmher and the masked woman taps out.

Now, let’s see who out the identity of this masked woman. Becky is about to pull off her mask. Is she Brie Bella? Nope. She’s Alexa Bliss and she’s pissed. Well, it looks like one of the Las Luchadoras is Alexa Bliss. Becky did the Scooby Doo on La Luchadora and then got dropped with a DDT by five feet of fury. But what’s the identity of the real La Luchadora?

Mini-Segments: Carmella is Hot for Ellsworth / #HeelZiggler is losing IT!

Carmella is looking lovely for the camera. Then out comes quite possibly the sexiest man alive James Ellsworth. Yep. She thinks he’s hot. But does she have ulterior motives? Or does she really dig SmackDown’s chinless wonder.

Dolph Ziggler goes backstage. He’s pissed and starts throwing stuff around. Three wrestlers, not involved with any storyline are also in the lockeroom and look bothered by Dolph’s behavior. Apollo Crews is one who steps up to him. Crews told him that he doesn’t like what he did to his friend Kalisto. Blah blah blah. Dolph headbutts him and they’re rolling on the floor. Rhyno and Mojo Rawley pull them apart.

Dolph Ziggler vs. Baron Corbin

Both competitors are looking to be the next breakout star on the blue brand. Dolph goes on the attack early, but Corbin is no push over. Dolph is the veteran, so that will help him in this contest. But Baron is a true brute and has been stomping Ziggler into the mat only a minute after the bell rang. Dolph is a burnout in the ring; he goes in 100% in the beginning and wears himself out early on. Corbin is a ground and pound type of guy in the squared circle. He’ll hurt a guy and enjoy it. Dolph is resilient, so I wouldn’t count him out. However, Baron has been controlling the majority of this match. Corbin is really beating the crap out of Dolph.

But then an elbow, big boot, side-step and a drop kick and all of a sudden Dolph is once again dominant. Find out the conclusion of this match after the commercial break.

And we’re back. Ziggler tries to knock down the big man, but Corbin is too much for him and knocks his ass down. But then a swinging neck-breaker and a elbow drop on Corbin’s sternum, and Dolph is back on top. He pins Corbin..1…2…kick out. But Dolph is still very confident and energetic. He wants to put away Baron. He attempts a fam-asser, but he gets thrown in the air and into a devastating clothesline. However, Ziggler is the veteran, rallies to his feet and throws a charging Corbin into the turnbuckle. Ziggler executes a fam-asser and a zigzag on Corbin, but Baron is too strong. Dolph can’t seem to put away Baron. And out of nowhere, Corbin heats the End of Days to end the match.

Post match: Corbin gets a steel chair and is about to attack Dolph. Kalisto comes out to help Dolph. And then Dolph turns HEEL and superkicks Kalisto. He screams “I don’t need you!” at the fallen and dazed masked man.

In-Ring Promo: The Miz, Maryse & Dean Ambrose

The show kicks off with The Miz’s music blaring. The Miz walks down to the ring with his lovely wife Maryse. They then show clips from the Amborse-Miz-Renee Young storyline over the past few weeks. The video package ends, The Miz stands tall in the middle of the ring about to speak. The crowd boos. And he proceeds to cut another entertaining promo. His New Year’s resolution is to be more forgiving. He also calls out Renee Young, as someone who deserves The Miz an apology. The reigning Intercontinental Champion announces that SmackDown Live will not continue unless he gets his apology. The Miz continues to rant. The crowd chants “We want Ambrose!” The Miz responds, well “I need an apology. How can Renee Young sacrifice her journalistic integrity for dirty deeds with Dean Ambrose?” Ambrose plays and the Lunatic Fringe hits the ring.

Maryse slaps Ambrose while The Miz ducks out of sight. She leaves the ring and joins her husband down the ramp. Ambrose is ready to take The Miz’ title away in the main event match. Can Miz stop The Lunatic Fringe? Will Maryse get involved in her husband’s matches again? Possibly.

WWE SmackDown Live Preview

The road to the Royal Rumble is heating up. There’s sure to be plenty of conflict during the Cena/Styles contract signing, but the match between Ambrose and The Miz is sure to be an all-out war. I’m sure each of their girlfriends will make their presence known in this contest. Expect some interference from The Miz’s wife Maryse Ouellet & Dean Ambrose’s girlfriend Renee Young. Also, I wonder what role will James Ellsworth find himself in. Will he once again meddle in the affairs of AJ Styles and Dean Ambrose? Or will Ellsworth branch off into a new storyline? I know “The Princess of Staten Island” Carmella has demonstrated a liking to this chinless hero. I wonder where that’s going…

Last week, SmackDown’s female division left us with some unanswered questions. Who is this La Luchadora? Who’s behind that mask? Is she a wrestler from the past coming back to reclaim her spot? Can SmackDown Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss be again to fend off this mysterious foe? And how does Becky Lynch feel about another new wrestler trying to steal her spot near the top?

I wonder how The Wyatt Family will react to losing their WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships. They’ll definitely be after American Alpha tonight. The Wyatts will definitely be looking for some retribution. When will they evoke their rematch clause? Could it be on tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live? Chelsea Rebecca Alvarez, a 24-year-old Canadian woman, has died after falling off of a mountain while hiking in Italy with her fiance. Alvarez lost her balance while hiking on a mountain path in South Tyrol on New Year’s Day. Alvarez was hiking near the Austrian border at about 7,200 feet above-sea-level when she lost her balance and fell about 500 feet onto rocks below. She was killed instantly.

Alvarez had only moved to Italy with her fiance Colin Behenna, a former Ontario Hockey League player, just six months ago. Behenna had signed a contract to play for the Sterzing Broncos, a hockey team based in Italy. The Broncos canceled their game scheduled for New Year’s Day due to a “tragic accident” involving the team.

Alvarez graduated from Conestoga College with an engineering degree in 2015. According to the Huffington Post, Alvarez worked as a bartender and server in Waterloo, Ontario for five years until she left for Europe in August.

Cameron MacIntyre, the owner of the St. Louis Bar and Grill in Waterloo, Ontario that Alvarez worked at, said in an interview that Alvarez “was just a wonderful, wonderful young lady,” he said.

“She was fully of energy, brilliant, beautiful…everyone she touched around her, their life got better after meeting her,” MacIntyre said.

Gus Bastias, a regular at the St. Louis Bar and Grill, said the news shocked many in the hockey community who knew the young couple. Alvarez was involved in the local hockey community, as she played hockey for the St. David’s Celtics while in high school and on local rep-level teams.

“The hockey community is a tight community,” Bastias said. “It’s extremely shocking to our community here, to our group.”

2016 was a shit show for a lot of reasons, but if there was one positive to come out of those 12 months, it was the memes. There was Harambe, confused Mr. Krabs, None Of My Business Kermit & Evil Kermit, Caveman Spongebob, Angry Arthur, the list goes on and on.

Coming into 2017, a couple of questions were on everyone’s mind: Which famous people will die this year? Who will sing at Trump’s inauguration? But most importantly, would the memes be as dank as they were in 2016? If the first viral meme of the year is any sign of times to come, 2017 will be just a prosperous year for internet culture as the previous year was.

In comes the Jersey Shore as movies memes, where people take pictures from the increasingly dated reality television show and caption them with famous movie titles.

Depending on your point of view, frat culture is either at an all-time high or an all-time low. On one hand, it’s bled into the mainstream and popular culture more than ever before, but on the other hand, it seems like every week a fraternity is in the news for something disgusting. You gotta give the frat bros credit, though, as they forge on, inventing new ways to inject Greek life into their everyday lives. Case in point? Trying to figure out the most ‘frat way to contemplate the futility of existence’.

As you would expect, the responses are as preposterous as they are relatively profound.  I don’t care what you say, but you certainly aren’t deep enough to come up with ‘realizing the light at the end of the tunnel is a Natural one.’ That’s some Nietzsche-level philosophizing right there.

Is this an all-time power move or what? Kid, whose name is Cal, is literally dabbing on the institution that is the American government and shows absolutely no remorse in doing so. He’s got a real future in politics.

The best part of all of this is Paul Ryan, tight-assed as ever, getting the kid to put his arm down, and even asking if he had to sneeze. Paul Ryan is still a relatively young dude, you would think he would know a dab when he sees one.

As legendary as Cal’s dab was, you have to imagine he got SHREDDED on the car ride home. It’s one of the biggest days of his father’s life, and there he is, making a mockery of it all and embarrassing the hell out of his pop in front of the Speaker of the House.

That sort of ‘I don’t give a f*ck’ attitude will get you real far in life, Cal. Sure, you’re probably going to be grounded for a WHILE, but keep on keepin’ on, kid.
