Meet Anastasia Tsirenschikova: Russian Babe Arrested In Tax Scam

Anastasia Tsirenschikova’s Instagram

Anastasia Tsirenschikova is a 22-year-old from Moscow, Russia. She studied economics at the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, but when she wasn’t hitting the books, she was helping run a massive tax haven scam. Anastasia was raking in money like crazy, and she loved to show off her glamorous lifestyle by posting sexy pictures to Instagram. While I deeply appreciate Anastasia’s commitment to flaunting her goods, her social media presence ultimately lead to her downfall.

Via International Business Times:

After Russian police reportedly saw her glitzy pictures, she was arrested, along with five others, for allegedly moving ₽9bn (£120,000m; $145,000m) out of the country and into overseas tax havens.

Tsirenschikova, of Moscow, is accused of being second-in-command to gang leader Mikhail Gomma – a former employee of the Credit-Moscow bank.

Tsirenschikova, Gomma, a Panamanian man named as Ortis A, 25, and two other businessmen, aged 29 and 47 whose names have not been disclosed, allegedly helped thousands of businessmen illegally move funds overseas, according to Russian media.

It’s believed they charged a 2.5% commission for their services, which would have earned them roughly $3.6 million. Anastasia was arrested for illegal banking activities, and she will be placed under house arrest until February 2017.

Even though that’s what got Anastasia busted in the first place, let’s hope the boredom of house arrest will cause her to post some more top-notch photos to Instagram. You can never have too many pictures of a fine ass international criminal.

Bernard Hopkins vs. Joe Smith Jr. Live Stream: How To Watch Online

Tonight on HBO, we’ll witness the last fight of 51-year-old Bernard Hopkins’ illustrious career. Win, lose, or draw Hopkins says that he will hang up the boxing gloves after his bout with Joe Smith Jr. Let’s reflect on Hopkins’ Hall of Fame career, get familiar with Smith, and break down tonight’s historic matchup.

Hopkins (55-7-2, 32 KOs) made his professional debut all the way back in October of 1988, roughly a year before Smith was even born. Hopkins is one of the greatest boxers to ever step inside a ring, and he’s rewrote the record books with his remarkable achievements. The crafty technician from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania has held multiple world titles at both middleweight and light heavyweight. From 1995-2005, Hopkins held at least one middleweight belt, and he made a record-setting 20 successful middleweight title defenses.

In 2006, Hopkins would make the move to light heavyweight, beating Antonio Tarver by unanimous decision to win IBO and The Ring belts in his very first fight in the weight class. In 2011, he would break George Foreman’s record as the oldest man to ever win a world title, defeating Jean Pascal by unanimous decision at the ripe old age of 46. Later on, Hopkins would break his own record, winning a light heavyweight world title again at age 48.

As for Smith (22-1, 18 KOs), the Long Island, New York brawler might have scored the most shocking upset victory of 2016. Despite being a union laborer during the day and a boxer by night, Smith knocked out Andrzej Fonfara in the first round of their June 18 bout to become the WBC light heavyweight champion.

Of the other 22 guys Smith has previously fought, I haven’t heard of any of them and only two of them even have Wikipedia pages. In tonight’s bout, we’ll get to see if Smith is the real deal or if his win against Fonfara was a fluke. It will be youth vs. experience, offense vs. defense, and power-punching vs. counter-punching in a bout that is must-see television.

Two very evenly matched teams will go head to head this Sunday afternoon in MetLife Stadium. The Detroit Lions are leading the NFC North division with nine victories and only four losses this season. They will be showing up on the Giants home turf, and if the Lions can conquer the Giants then there’s a good chance they’ll end up winning the entire NFC North division title. But The Giants are certainly no push overs, as they will look to squash the Lion’s shot at championship glory.

There is so much on the line for the Detroit Lions. By defeating The Giants, they’ll be one step closer to winning their first division title in 23 years. Meanwhile, the New York Giants are also dying to rise to the very top of the league, as they are currently in second place behind the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East division. The Lions may be confident at the top of their division in the NFC North. But they are currently tied with the Giants when it pertains to the scoreboard of wins/losses this season. Both the Detroit Lions and the New York Giants have each won nine games while also suffering four losses.

Who will come out the winner of this battle between the Giants and the Lions at MetLife Stadium? Look below to find out how to stream this game live, whether you’re watching on your computer, television, tablet or mobile device. Time to stream some NFL action!

Watch Colin Kaepernick’s Team Get Crushed By The Atlanta Falcons This Sunday

This Sunday afternoon, the highest ranking team in the NFC South will be taking on the lowest ranked team in the NFC West. The San Francisco 49ers have only won one game this entire season, and it looks like they may get steamrolled by the Atlanta team. The 49ers will be going into the Georgia Dome against a fierce team that’s at the top of their game. Meanwhile, Colin Kaepernick’s squad is at the bottom of the barrel when it comes to active teams this season. Colin and his team really need to get their heads in the game for this one. If not, they’ll be swooped up by the Falcons.

Colin Kaepernick appears consumed by his extracurricular activities, as he promotes his political rhetoric and protests to fight systematic oppression in America. He needs to transfer that fire over to the football field. Colin, if you’re reading this: imagine that each assist, touchdown or tackle is another victory for freedom and social justice. Imagine that a win for the San Francisco 49ers is a loss for systematic oppression everywhere. The 49ers will need to dig down deep. If not, they will surely get demolished. Even though, Kaep may be one of the most famous NFL players of the year, his team has really been stinking to high heavens all season. If the 49ers can somehow defeat the Falcons then Colin’s crew just pulled off an upset victory bigger than Colin’s afro in the lead image. The Atlanta Falcons are the juggernauts of the NFC South division, and this Sunday afternoon, they’ll be looking to add the San Francisco 49ers onto their list of victims.

But where can you watch all the action unfold? You can watch it on FOX. However, it’s not on FOX in many areas, so you’ll need to check online (unless you’re living in or around Atlanta, Minneapolis or San Francisco). You can also live stream the Falcons vs. the 49ers on your tablet, desktop, laptop, television set or mobile device. Look below to find out how and where to watch the mighty Atlanta Falcons take on the underdog team of the San Francisco 49ers. Can Colin and his team overcome these vicious birds of prey? See it all live!

The defending Super Bowl champions are actually the underdog in the showdown with the New England Patriots. The Denver team will be looking to push back to the Patriots, who are invading Broncos turf. But this wasn’t the first time that the Broncos were considered the home-team underdogs this season. The Broncos were underdogs for the opening game against the Carolina Panthers, yet narrowly defeated the Panthers 21-20. Will they repeat history this Sunday afternoon against the New England Patriots?

The Denver Broncos have been in a slump since October. They’ve fallen to teams like the Falcons, the Chargers, and most recently the Tennessee Titans last Sunday. Meanwhile, the Patriots have been very dominant this season as they look to decimate the Broncos this Sunday in the Sports Authority Field. But the Broncos can turn things around like they did in the past. Maybe they can pull off the upset win that they so desperately need. The Broncos can become a wild card team if they manage to somehow defeat the Patriots. Or will the New England team charge the Broncos and maintain its top position in the AFC.

‘Saturday Night Live’ held no punches last night as it continued its ongoing assault of Donald Trump. While this sketch was about celebrating the Obama years, Kenan Thompson and Chance the Rapper take digs at the president-elect throughout by contrasting the two politicians in a rap inspired by Run D.M.C.’s ‘Christmas in Hollis’.

Leslie Jones joins in to deliver a hysterical verse about her crush on Joe Biden, and Casey Affleck and D.M.C. also both make cameo appearances.

While your political views may influence how you feel about this sketch, it’s great to see such a tribute being paid to the pioneers of hip-hop known as Run D.M.C.

In A Snapchat BEFORE Last Night’s Blowout Loss, Sheldon Richardson Showed How Little The Jets Care

(Screenshot via Twitter/ @drewgaris16)

Update via Deadspin:

Update (1:20 p.m. ET): A Jets spokesperson says that Richardson was talking about Miles, not the game. According to the spokesperson, Richardson did not say, “Where the hoes at, doe? Fuck this game,” but, “Where the hoes at? Don’t fuck this guy,” referring to Miles, whose Snapchat account was being used.

The Jets made it crystal clear on the field last night against the Miami Dolphins that they have packed it in on this season, but in case there was still any doubt this snapchat video posted before the game showed just how little at least some of the Jets players care anymore as they limp to the finish line of a miserable 2016 season.

In the 7 second-video posted on teammate Rontez Miles’ snapchat account with the caption “Real spill”, Richardson shows where his mind is at by asking, “Where the h**s at?” before adding “F**k this game.”

Obviously, Jets coach Todd Bowles wasn’t exactly thrilled after he saw the video. Via ESPN:

Coach Todd Bowles, made aware of the video late Sunday morning, was appalled by Richardson’s comments. He said he will meet “very soon” with him to discuss it.

Bowles didn’t rule out in-house discipline.

“We’ll take care of it here,” he said. “That’s not something we condone or we encourage. That’s unacceptable.”

Asked if he was “disturbed” that a player would behave that way before a game, Bowles replied, “It was disturbing that it was said at all.”

With that being said, Bowles also said he thought Richardson played hard in the Jets 34-13 beatdown at the hands of the Miami Dolphins.

While I usually think teams are too quick to get rid of their head coaches as a way to divert blame away from management and the players, it sure seems like the Jets have completely quit on Bowles this season. Therefore a head coaching change before next season would be fully justified.

In A Classic Andy Reid Botch, The Chiefs Coach’s Decison To Try To Ice The Kicker Backfires

Andy Reid is a great football coach in certain respects, but when it comes to making in-game decisions, Kansas City’s head man is a punchline. 18 years into his head coaching career, Reid still screws up even easy decisions with regularity.

Today the former Eagles coach proved that all icing the kicker accomplishes is giving him a warmup kick. For some years now, all the advanced analysis of icing the kicker has shown it to be a pointless waste of time. But Reid tried it anyway while leading 17-16 with 1 second left, and of course the Titans kicker Ryan Succop nailed the mulligan on the 53-yarder after pushing the first attempt wide right.

Now, it’s not totally fair to totally single out Reid because plenty of other coaches still try to ice the kicker. And if it had worked out in his favor, Andy Reid would be being hailed for making such a smart move right now. But in the 0 degree and windy conditions, anyone with any logic would have realized that Succop’s first attempt would only help him to make the adjustments on his second try.

So let us enjoy the latest failed Andy Reid tactical decision. Because nothing unites Americans quite like laughing together at another Andy Reid botch.

WWE: Roadblock End of the Line may have a stupid name, but the Raw-exclusive pay-per-view actually has a stellar card that should for an exciting night of make-believe fighting.

In the main event, Kevin Owens will defend his Universal Championship against Roman Reigns. That is unless the WWE decides to put the anticipated Raw Women’s Championship 30-minute iron woman match between Sasha Banks and Charlotte in the main event slot.

The main show starts at 8 p.m. EST in Pittsburgh, PA and will be broadcast live on both pay-per-view and WWE Network. I’ll be posting results and recaps for every night throughout the match, so be sure to check back for updates.

WWE Roadblock: End of the Line 2016 Results

Kevin Owens (c) vs. Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship

These two put on a hard-fought match but, as expected, Chris Jericho got involved midway through. Jericho delivered a codebreaker to Owens, appearing to confirm a breakup between the two best friends. But then after the interference got Reigns disqualified, Owens and Jericho hugged to show that they actually are still best friends and it was all a ruse. Then Seth Rollins’ music hit and he rushed to the ring. Reigns delivered a spear to Owens, and Rollins pedigreed Jericho in the middle of the ring. Then the two former Shield members double powerbombed Jericho through an announce table by ringside before double power bombing Owens through the announce table on the side of the ramp.

Kevin Owens def. Roman Reigns via disqualification after Chris Jericho hit Kevin Owens with a Codebreaker to get Owens disqualified

Sasha Banks (c) vs. Charlotte Flair in a 30-minute Iron Woman match for the WWE Raw Women’s Championship

In the first 10 minutes both women traded off offense, and neither were able to earn a pinfall. In the 11th minute Charlotte swept out her leg while Sasha was on the apron near the ringpost and Sasha bounced face-first into the steel steps and Charlotte took command. Almost 18 minutes in, Flair hit Sasha with a Natural Selection but Sasha kicked out. But about a minute later Charlotte hit another Natural Selection from the top rope and scored a pinfall to take a 1-0 lead.

Then just before the 22-minute mark Sasha stole a fall via a rollup pin to tie the score at 1 apiece.

Then after a missed moonsault by Charlotte, Banks locked in the Bank Statement. When Charlotte almost was at the rope, Sasha brought her back to the middle of the ring with the Bank Statement still locked in. Charlotte had no choice but to tap out, and just before the 24-minute mark Sasha took the 2-1 lead.

For the next several minutes Charlotte deftly targeted Sasha Banks’s leg. Then with a few minutes left, Charlotte locked Sasha into the Figure Four lock. With just 2 seconds left, Banks was in such pain that she had to tap out. It was 2-2 at the end of the 30 minutes. It was then announced there would be a sudden death overtime to decide the winner.

In the overtime Charlotte continued to attack Sasha’s leg. Sasha also was profusely bleeding from her nose, though the announce team avoided mentioning it. After a back breaker, Sasha was able to lock in the Banks Statement. But Charlotte was able to reverse it into a figure four, which she ultimately turned into a figure eight. With the figure eight locked into her injured leg, Sasha was forced to tap.

After an extraordinary match, Charlotte is now a 4x Women’s Champion and remains undefeated in pay-per-view matches.

Charlotte Flair def. Sasha Banks 3-2 by forcing her to submit to the Figure Eight in sudden-death overtime to win the WWE Raw Women’s Championship.

Rich Swann (c) vs. T.J. Perkins vs. The Brian Kendrick for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship

The Cruiserweight division continues to evoke little fan reaction in their pay-per-view, though this was a decent enough short match. Swann was able to pin Perkins to retain the title. But more importantly, Neville’s music and the man that gravity and the WWE forgot, made his way to the ring. Swann thought he was congratulating him but Neville proceeded to punch the champion right in the face before throwing around both Swann and Perkins. Hopefully a heel Neville can invigorate both his career and the lackluster Cruiserweight division. A Neville vs. Swann feud could produce some extraordinary matches.

Rich Swann defeats T.J. Perkins and The Brian Kendrick by pinning Perkins to retain the WWE Cruiserweight Championship.

Seth Rollins vs. Chris Jericho

You just knew Kevin Owens would get himself involved in this match at some point, and sure enough the Universal Champion appeared and tried to make amends with Jericho as Y2J closed in on victory. But Owens presence actually distracted the referee in the middle of what could have been a 1-2-3.

When Jericho saw this he started screaming at Owens while he was walking to the back. Rollins took advantage of Jericho’s fuming by kicking him the stomach and nailing him with a pedigree to pick up the pinfall.

Chris Jericho def. Seth Rollins via pinfall after a pedigree

Sami Zayn vs. Braun Strowman in a singles match with a 10-minute time limit

This was was a bit of a dud because using a 10-minute time limit for the first time in years telegraphed the ending. After 7 minutes of Strowman beating up Zayn, Mick Foley made his way down to the ring with a towel in his hand suggesting he was going to throw in the towel for Sami Zayn, which I guess is one of the comissioner’s powers? He didn’t and Strowman never really came that close to pinning Zayn in the end, once Sami started getting in some offense in the final minutes. Then it just ended anti-climatically after a Zayn Helluva kick, and Zayn was announced the winner for surviving the 10 minutes even though this one was in reality a draw.

Sami Zayn and Braun Strowman fight to a 10-minute draw. Sami Zayn is announced the winner for surviving 10 minutes.

The New Day (Big E and Kofi Kingston) (with Xavier Woods) (c) vs. Cesaro and Sheamus for the WWE Tag Team Championship

After 483 days, the longest tag team title reign has come to an end after a helluva an opening match.

This one looked like it might be over when after Sheamus accidentally kneed Sheamus and Big E took advantage to land the Big Ending, but the Swiss Superman was able to kick out in the nick of time.

Then a bit later it looked like the challengers might win it when Sheamus had Kofi Kingston tapping out, but Xavier jumped on the apron and played his trombone to distract the referee, who didn’t see Kingston tap.

Then after that Cesaro deadlifted Kofi and then landed a neutralizer, but Big E broke up the pin.

Next, Sheamus went for a Brogue Kick on Kofi but Woods jumped in to sacrifice himself, and Kofi took advantage by landing an SOS to yet another near finish.

Then after a missed tag, Kofi thought Cesaro was still legal so Sheamus smartly swooped in and pinned him.

Sheamus and Cesaro defeat The New Day after Sheamus pins Kofi Kingston. Sheamus and Cesaro are the new WWE Tag Team Champions.

The mother of the bride is believed to have been killed after a 100-foot tree fell on top of a wedding party in Whittier, California. According to Whittier Police Department officials, the eucalyptus tree, estimated to be more than 80 feet tall, killed the mother of the bride and injured seven other people, including a four-year-old girl who was listed in critical condition with head trauma. The identity of the person who was killed has not yet been released.

Around 4:30 P.M. on Sunday afternoon, a wedding party was taking pictures after the ceremony when the 100 foot tall tree fell, trapping 20 people beneath it. According to the fire department, chainsaws were used to remove those who were trapped underneath the tree’s branches. Of the 20 trapped, the five people who were injured suffered minor and moderate injuries and were taken to a hospital for treatment and are expected to recover.

John Tripp, a Los Angeles County Fire Department deputy chief, said, “Fortunately, there weren’t more people injured by the tree collapse. It could have been a lot worse.” Similarly, Sgt. Jason Zuhlke of the Whittier Police Department said ‘the scene was very chaotic.’

City officials could not confirm that Friday evening’s heavy rains played a factor in the collapsing of the tree. Arborists are expected to began an investigation as to why the tree fell.

For 19 years, Gregg Popovich and Tim Duncan were the gold-standard of NBA success. Over the course of Duncan’s 19 seasons, he racked up five NBA championships, two MVP seasons, 15 All-Star selections, and was 10 times voted to the All-NBA First Team. And Coach Popovich was right there with him every step of the way. So it should come as no surprise that Pop had easily the most moving speech of the night when summing up Timmy’s NBA career.

MSU Winter Sledding

What do you when you’re a Michigan State student on the weekend, with no football to watch and tons of snow outside? Well if you’ve got access to a Jeep, some rope, a couple of snowboards, a snowtube, and a camera phone, your best bet is to go outside and have some fun. That’s exactly what this group of MSU students did.

Rather than spend all day inside, finishing their handles of discount bourbon (which is totally acceptable), they decided to go out and get towed behind their Jeep while repping the American flag. You might recognize these guys from the same kind of stunt last year at MSU.

Tinder Video Survive Europe

There’s an old game that some of my college friends used to play, called “Pull or Die.” The idea of the game was that you’d go out in a city with nothing but a credit card, your phone, and nowhere to stay, making it absolutely necessary to find some girl you need to go home with. As the night goes on and on, things obviously get more and more desperate. Finally by 3:00 A.M., you’re pretty much welcome to sleeping with the old bar fly who’s been winking at you for the past hour. Is it a fun game? No, not really. But it’s gotta be exciting, right?

(Full disclosure: I never even tried to play this game because I’m a wuss and would not be open to sleeping on the street when I failed to pick someone up).

Meet Matt and Ammar, two YouTubers who travel to Europe and play a game similar to “pull or die,” except the only people they can talk to are people who match with them on Tinder. The difference is that they’re not paying for anything (food, drink, housing) so they need their Tinder game to be A+. Matt and Ammar travel from Amsterdam to Paris and then Barcelona, three places where things can go either fantastic or horribly wrong.

Things start out pretty shaky at first, but eventually they start hitting their stride.

Part of me was 100% hoping they’d get themselves into a dangerous, creepy situation but unfortunately the fact that they’re traveling in a pair meant that probably wouldn’t happen.

Andrei Karlov Shooting: Full Story & Must-See Details

Andrei Karlov Shooting

Andrei Karlov, the Russian Ambassador to Turkey, has been shot and seriously injured while visiting the opening of an art gallery exhibit in Ankara, the capital of Turkey. Outlets say that the art exhibit was called “Russia As Seen By Turks” and that Karlov was supposed to make a speech. Karlov was injured in the gun attack, along with three others.

Special forces have been called to contain the situation, and it’s reported that it turned into a hostage situation before the special forces finally handled it by neutralizing the shooter.

Update–12:10 PM: Russian news agency RIA is reporting the ambassador died on the scene.

Update–1:03 PM: The Turkish security forces have identified the shooter as Mert Altintas, a member of the Ankara Police Department.

What Happened?

According to reports, Andrei Karlov was attending a photo gallery exhibition called “Russia As Seen By Turks” at the Contemporary Art Gallery in Ankara’s central Çankaya district. Karlov was scheduled to make a speech there, which he began.

Reportedly a gunman entered the gallery during the speech, was heard shouting “We die in Aleppo, you die here” and then opened fire. Ambassador Karlov was shot a total of five times. The gunman managed to escape, but it’s believed that the special forces have since neutralized the shooter. A photo has been posted to Twitter purporting to show the Ambassador shot.

It’s unknown if the man in the suit with the gun is the shooter or part of Karlov’s security team. We can now confirm that the man standing up is responsible for the shooting.

The media reports that the gunman entered the gallery with a police ID and was part of the security escort to the ambassador. If that’s the case, they know who this guy is already.

Update–1:03 PM: The Turkish security forces have identified the shooter as Mert Altintas, a member of the Ankara Police Department.

Earlier this week, Andrei Karlov was a part of the negotiations between Russia and Syria that led to an evacuation of eastern Aleppo. He was also a central character in Turkey and Russia’s attempts at rekindling a positive relationship.

Tomorrow the Turkish, Iranian and Russian officials were scheduled to meet tomorrow about securing a partnership moving forward. It’s more than likely that this assassination will cause those plans to be significantly disrupted, meaning that terrorist groups will benefit from the chaos. Russian response into Syria is likely going to happen immediately.

Who Is Andrei Karlov?

Andrei Karlov is the Russian ambassador to Turkey. Karlov has worked a Russian diplomat since 1976 and worked directly with Turkey as the Russian ambassador since 2013.

Karlov must be a man who’s known to be a problem-solver since he was also the Russian ambassador to North Korea.

winter-solstice-13

On Wednesday, December 21, we will have the 2016 winter solstice. While most people consider the whole day to be the winter solstice, it is actually only a precise moment in time when the sun is directly over the Tropic of Capricorn. If you’re in the Northern Hemisphere and want to properly celebrate the phenomenon, have a glass of champagne ready at 5:44 a.m. EST.

The winter solstice marks the shortest day and longest night of the year. After Wednesday, the days will gradually become longer and the nights will become shorter, which is very welcome news to this blogger. There is nothing more depressing than when it’s pitch black outside at 5:00 p.m. It’s like an Adele song came to life and punched you in the face with a fistful of frigid winds. F*ck that noise.

Because in this day and age it’s mandatory to have memes and jokes for every major event, take a look at some of the best ones the internet has to offer for the 2016 winter solstice. Winter is coming for real.

What College Bowl Games Are On Today

The College Bowl season kicked off on Saturday, and if you followed my picks, it did not go well and for that, I apologize. Anyways, there’s only one game on tap for tonight, and you guessed it, it’s the granddaddy of them all, the Miami Beach Bowl! The game everyone has been waiting for is a highly contested matchup between Tulsa and Central Michigan, and it kicks off at 2:30 P.M. ET on ESPN.

I really don’t have much to say about this game, which is because I don’t know anything about either of these teams, but if you’re a gambler like myself, I love Central Michigan +13.5

Now you’re probably thinking, “Why do you like Central Michigan today, Connor?” Great question. Let me tell you why. Central Michigan had one of the craziest endings I’ve ever seen in the history of college football earlier this year and I think they should be rewarded for that. Plus, Antonio Brown went to Central Michigan, and that guy’s awesome. Also, you have to ride with any team from the MAC, that’s just Gambling 101.

Are those good reasons to bet on a team? No, no they are not, but those are my reasons and I’m sticking to them. Let’s Go Chippewas! MACtion, baby!
