An active shooter has been reported on the Ohio State University campus around 10:00 A.M. EST. The active shooter alert was for the area near Watts Hall, on 19th and College St. in North Campus.

“Buckeye Alert: Active Shooter on campus. Run Hide Fight. Watts Hall. 19th and College,” OSU Emergency Management tweeted.

One is dead in Ohio State University shooting. The shooting started in Watts Hall, where the shooter pulled fire alarm near an exit and opened fire at evacuating crowds. Seven have been transported to the hospital. The shooter is dead and all classes have been canceled for the day. In addition to local authorities, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives have arrived.

At least eight people were taken to hospitals after an active shooter was reported on the Ohio State University campus Monday, authorities said.

One of those eight patients is in critical condition, Columbus Fire spokeswoman Rebecca Diehm said.

A little kid was doing some swimming when he ran into a bit of a problem. He still had his trusty floaties, but the poor guy could not find his goggles for the life of him. Watch him get into an adorable predicament in the video below.

If those goggles were a snake, they would have bit him repeatedly. While it was hilarious to watch him fail to realize that his goggles were resting safely on his forehead the whole time, I can’t be too hard on him, as I’m the king when it comes to misplacing stuff.

In my most infamous incident, I somehow managed to lock my car keys in my car with the heat on and the music BLARING. Needless to say, it was not my proudest moment.

So keep your chin up, my forgetful friend. You became a viral sensation, and you were able to keep swimming without that pesky chlorine getting in your eyes. All’s well that ends well.

Ohio State and Michigan fans, students, and players have a rivalry that can’t be explained unless you’ve gone to one of their games or attended their schools. But there are times when the rivalries take a back seat to what’s really important.

As you may know, there was an awful shooting at Ohio State University today, with at least seven victims wounded. It’s a nightmare situation, something that you wouldn’t wish upon your worst enemy. Most normal people sent their thoughts and prayers to the students and family and victims who were understandably scared out of their mind. Even the Michigan Athletics department sent their well-wishes.

But one guy, Cameron Jacob (probably not his real name) aka @TheseNuts365 on Twitter, decided that he’d make light of the situation, tweeting out the dumbest, most clueless thing possible.

Update: Welp, I guess I was wrong. Cameron Jacob is his real name, full name Cameron Jacob Braatz, and even worse is that he’s been convicted for assaulting a woman who rejected his marriage proposal. Sounds like the same kind of a**hole who would make jokes about a school shooting.

It’s videos like these that remind me that there are some absolutely batshit crazy professions on this planet. Here I sit in my New York City office, all warm and toasty drinking a Starbucks coffee (shout out holiday cups), and then there’s this dude, casually pulling a James Bond maneuver onto a wave-soaked ship in the middle of the ocean.

Using a little Google-translate action, I was able to deduce that this video is from Denmark, and it’s a video of the Danish Air Force (who knew they even had a military?) doing some wild shit. For what it’s worth, I had my money on this being Russian, 1000%.

MSNBC Pete Williams is reporting that the suspect who was killed today after stabbing multiple Ohio State University students was a 20-year-old Somali refugee who was also a student at OSU. CBS News is reporting the same thing. It is also being reported that the student’s name is Ali Muhammad.

Who Is Ali Muhammad?

There’s not a lot that we know about the suspect who attacked Ohio State University students with a car and with a knife, except that we know that he’s a Somalian refugee who was a student. His age is being reported as either 20 years old or 18 years old.

What Happened?

According to witnesses, Ali drove over a curb with his Honda car and ran over a couple of students. He then exited his car with a large butcher knife and started to attack multiple students. An Ohio State police officer arrived at the scene within less than a minute and shot/subdued Muhammed with his gun.

Ali died from the gunshot wounds he sustained.

People are attributing the slip in ratings to a couple of things. ‘The show is in its seventh season, it’s natural erosion’ or ‘all people wanted to see was who died in the season premiere’ or ‘Negan just isn’t a compelling villain.’ While all of those are true, they are not the reason that TWD‘s popularity has been falling. The reason is because The Walking Dead BLOWS, and always has, but it’s just now that people are noticing.

I used to watch The Walking Dead, but I bailed after they killed the guy with the eye patch, which was like season three. Even then, the show’s formula was painfully clear: group searches for new home, group finds new home, group gets comfortable, villian shows up, group gets uprooted from home, someone dies, group defeats villain. They’ve been doing it ever since, and people are finally starting to catch on. Hopefully the sheeple fall in line and get the show canceled once and for all.

Luis Humberto Ramirez hit the sauce a little too hard on Thanksgiving, as the Arkansas man was arrested for public intoxication. Here’s The Smoking Gun with all of the details:

The 36-year-old was arrested Thursday evening for public intoxication after cops in Mountain Home, Arkansas found him reeking of booze and “holding onto a pillar for support” outside a shelter in the Ozark Mountains city.

“The offender’s face was covered with permanent marker,” reported a cop who was unaware how Ramirez gained a triangular soul patch and other facial adornments.

Ramirez had scrapes all over his body, and he was so damn drunk that police were unable to give him a Breathalyzer test. It’s usually not wise to jump to conclusions, but all you really needed was one look at Ramirez’s face to tell that he was bombed. The last time I checked, sober people don’t walk around looking like the doodles of a bored middle school student.

Ramirez has since posted bail and been released from police custody. Let’s hope that he headed straight to the so-called friends that did this to him while he was passed out. Hindsight being 20/20, they should’ve just teabagged him and then Saran Wrapped him to a sofa. They would’ve had a laugh and Ramirez wouldn’t have gotten arrested for stumbling around town. That’s a win-win situation for everyone involved.

It’s times like these when I wonder if I’m like a masochist or something. Like, I absolutely hate everything about this video and cannot bear to watch it, yet I keep watching it. It makes me uncomfortable and nauseous yet I’ve watched it like five times in the past 10 minutes. Guess I just love being tortured. Maybe I should look into a dominatrix? Anyone know any good dominatrixes? I’ve always wanted my safe word to be “Montenegro.” Just a fun sounding word. Anyway, we’re getting off topic. Watch nature do its thing.

Abdul Razak Ali Artan is the name of the Ohio State University attacker who was killed after running over OSU students and attacking them with a butcher knife. Artan has been described as an 18-year-old Somalian refugee who was also a student at Ohio State University, although that information hasn’t been confirmed.

Who Is Abdul Razak Ali Artan?

Artan is described as being a Somali refugee who fled his country in 2007, then moved Pakistan with his family. Artan finally moved to America in 2014 when he became a legal permanent resident of the United States. He even did an interview with The Lantern for a special edition issue called “Humans of Ohio State“:

“I wanted to pray in the open, but I was kind of scared with everything going on in the media. I’m a Muslim, it’s not what the media portrays me to be. If people look at me, a Muslim praying, I don’t know what they’re going to think, what’s going to happen. But, I don’t blame them. It’s the media that put that picture in their heads so they’re just going to have it and it, it’s going to make them feel uncomfortable. I was kind of scared right now. But I just did it. I relied on God. I went over to the corner and just prayed.”

What Happened?

Bodybuilder Giannis Magos was none too pleased with the judging at the 2016 IFBB Diamond Cup in Greece. He was crowned the winner of the 100kg division, but he came in second place in the overall standings. This was the third time that Magos had came in second place, so fed up with being the bodybuilding version of the Buffalo Bills, he slapped judge Armando Marquez in the face.

Before he sent up to nine people to the hospital, Abdul had transferred from Columbus State, and before his time school, Artan had lived in Somalia, eventually immigrating to the United States.

As per usual, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady had himself a fantastic Sunday. He completed 30-50 passes for 286 yards and two TDs en route to a 22-17 win over the New York Jets. Down 16-17 late in the 4th quarter, Brady lead a game-winning drive that culminated in an eight-yard touchdown pass to Malcolm Mitchell with 1:56 left on the clock.

Including the playoffs, the victory was the 200th of Brady’s illustrious career, which tied him with Peyton Manning for the most in NFL history. I guess the milestone put Brady in a celebratory mood because he posted a video to his Facebook making fun of his dreadful blocking attempt on a LeGarrette Blount run.

As a diehard Ravens fan, my hatred for Tom Brady runs as deep as the Chesapeake Bay. I despise him with every fiber of my being, but I have to begrudgingly admit that Brady’s video was hilarious. The combination of Brady whiffing on every Jet possible mixed in with ridiculous footage of explosions and collisions was top-notch. And soundtracking the video with Whitesnake’s “Here I Go Again” was a genius choice. That classic never fails to put a smile on my face.

Week 12 of the 2016 NFL season wraps up with a Monday Night Football matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Green Bay Packers. As for the Eagles, after starting the season with an impressive 3-0 record, they have since gone 2-5. While Carson Wentz looks like the real deal, their lack of playmaking weapons on the outside have hurt them.

In a stunning move, Liberty University announced today that it has hired former Baylor University Athletic Director Ian McCaw to the same position. McCaw had resigned from Baylor on May 30 after it came to light that the university had covered up allegations by 17 women who reported sexual or domestic assaults involving 19 football players, including four alleged gang rapes, since 2011. McCaw had been the Baylor AD since 2003.

Considering Liberty is a Christian fundamentalist university, the hiring of McCaw seemingly undermines the school’s claims to piety.  The University’s president Jerry Falwell made the following tone-deaf statement regarding the hire.

Yikes.

According to an ESPN report, the hire was even a surprise to the current members of the school’s athletic department.

None of the senior athletic department officials were aware McCaw had been hired until he walked through the door in his introductory news conference, a source told ESPN’s Brett McMurphy.

In a statement, McCaw said the following:

“My vision for Liberty is to position it as a pre-eminent Christian athletic program in America and garner the same type of appeal among the Christian community as Notre Dame achieves among the Catholic community and BYU garners from the Mormons,”

First of all, Catholics are definitely Christians too and Mormons debatably also are. But even with that aside, this is just complete blasphemy. This guy doesn’t deserve to be an Athletic Director anywhere after what transpired at Baylor, and he’s certainly not going to make Liberty University into the pride of the Christian community with his history. No self-respecting Christian would ever want to play for or root for any athletic program run by this slime-ball.

On Sunday’s episode of Planet Earth II, we were treated to the biggest upset in Africa since Muhammad Ali knocked out George Foreman in the Rumble in the Jungle. A pack of hungry lions seemed to have a giraffe trapped, and it looked like it was only a matter of time before its tall ass got ripped from limb to limb. But the giraffe had other plans, truck sticking a lioness in a epic showdown.

Goddamn, I didn’t see that one coming! That giraffe completely destroyed that lioness with a blend of power and speed we haven’t seen since the glory days of Bo Jackson. If you mess with the bull, you get the horns. And if you mess with this giraffe, you get trampled for the whole internet to see. All the animals at Pride Rock are going to have a field day with this one.

It’s been a big day for animal violence here at COED, as earlier today we brought you the disturbing video of honey bees killing a gigantic spider. It was probably the first and last time I’ve ever felt bad for one of those eight-legged monsters.

Delta Airlines has issued a ban for life to the Donald Trump supporter who was recorded acting belligerently after boarding a flight last week.

In the video, which can be seen below, the man refers to women Hillary Clinton supporters as “Hillary bitches” amidst his obnoxious bragging.

This whole ordeal shows that just because your preferred candidate won an election doesn’t giye you permission to be a total assclown.

If mocking Hillary supporters while aboard a plane looks like fun to you, you’re going to need to make sure you have your own private plane first. Like, for example, the guy who’s going to be flying on Air Force One for the next four years.
