In a 2016 interview with GQ, Harington said, “I didn’t really think I’d be a leading man in any respect whatsoever. At drama school in my third year, I was resigned to the fate of being Young Male Rape Victim No. 2. That was the kind of category I was put in. I’ve got a very baby face underneath all of this fuzz.”

Upon graduation from drama school, Harington got the opportunity to play Albert in the National Theatre production of War Horse. His performance won two Olivier Awards and ushered him into the spotlight as the one to watch.

In 2011, Harington landed the role that would change his life. Selected to portray Jon Snow in Game of Thrones, (AKA the best TV show since the beginning of time), Harington’s brilliant performance won a nomination for the Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor on Television in 2012 and an Empire Hero Award (which he shared with the cast) in 2015.

Following his success in TV, he soon made his film debut. He starred as Vincent in the 3D horror film Silent Hill: Revelation, based on the video game of the same name. And for that role, he won Actor of the Year at the 2013 Young Hollywood Awards. This guy just never goes home empty handed.

Harington got his first major lead role in a feature film when he played Milo in Pompeii, which was a huge box-office success. In the same year, he lent voice to Eret in How to Train Your Dragon 2, which won the Golden Globe Award for Best Animated Feature Film and received an Academy Award nomination. Everything this kid touches turns into gold.

Of course, for season 7 of Game of Thrones, the producers are eager to have Harington back.

The “A” tier — Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister), Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen) and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) — got the biggest pay bumps, up to nearly $300,000 an episode, according to Deadline.

He is The King in the North after all.
