KU Students Rush Field In Polite Manner — Get Chided [VIDEO]

kansas univeristy students rush

The students of Kansas University had good reason to get really excited as the Jayhawks started their season by trouncing Rhode Island with a 55-6 win. That’s their biggest margin of victory since 2007, and the Jayhawks’ first victory since the humiliating winless season of last year. [photo: twitter.com/jessenewell]

So you can’t really blame the team for running up the score, or the students for freaking out — but the school quickly let everyone know that they didn’t approve of young people rushing the field. The PA system quickly advised everyone to get back into the stands “for the respect of this program.” Even the students who stayed in their seats jeered the ones who kinda sorta rioted.

Fortunately, Jesse Newell of the Kansas City Star caught the carnage on a pic above that he posted via Twitter.  KU coach David Beaty also addressed the relatively-calm commotion after the game. He seemed pretty cool with it all, but that was after a pretty great game…

Horrible People Steal From Sam Foltz’s Brother During Nebraska Tribute [VIDEO]

sam foltz cornhuskers tribute robbery

Police have confirmed that the worst people in the world robbed the home of the brother of deceased Nebraska punter Sam Foltz yesterday — while he was at the Husker’s opening game dedicated to the memory of the player who passed away on July 23rd in a fatal car crash. [photo: Steven Branscombe/Getty]

As seen here, the game was dedicated to Sam, with his nephew leading the team onto the field while wearing a #27 jersey. That could very well be the son of Jordan Foltz, who had a television and some tools stolen out of his jeep while he was at the game in Lincoln. That’s pretty hateful. The good news is that we still have this touching Missing Man tribute from yesterday’s game, where Nebraska defeated Fresno State 43-10. Fresno declines the missing man penalty…

Nicki Minaj Shouts Out To Lil Wayne With ‘Pinkprint Freestyle’ [LISTEN]

nicki minaj pinkprint freestyle track

Nicki Minaj shouts out to Lil Wayne at the start of the newly-dropped “The Pinkprint Freestyle” — which she just dropped today as rumors start up about the rapper’s retirement. What does it all mean? We’re not sure, but this track is pretty great, even if the title doesn’t give us any encouragement that she’s got big ideas for a followup to 2014’s The Pinkprint.

This take on Young M.A.’s “Ooouuu” gets kind of loopy at the end, but mostly offers up more of the same swirling greatness that we got with “Pills N Potions” along with similarly ambitious moments from the diva. It’s also something to liven up the Labor Day weekend, and there’s even a Harambe mention before that gets too passé…

You have to give this US Open ball boy some credit. He Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov’s serve right where it hurts, and not only did he not crumble to he ground, but he was actually able to smile about the whole thing.

Kudos to the kid for playing it so cool. If I were him, I’d have been hurling expletives Dimitrov’s way after embarrassingly rolling around on the ground for a few minutes.

Lane Kiffin Trolls USC In Awesome Subtweet Following Alabama’s Beatdown Of The Trojans

Lane Kiffin was able to exact some revenge on his former employer when the Alabama Offensive Coordinator’s team routed USC 52-6 last night.

Kiffin was famously relieved of his duties as USC’s Head Coach in 2013 after being taken off the team bus by the school’s athletic director at 3 a.m. at Los Angeles International Airport following a bad loss against Arizona State.

So to rub the beatdown in USC’s faces, Kiffin sent a tweet out this morning about the impressive win that included a subtweet referencing the famous 3 a.m. firing.

Lane Kiffin’s smug persona definitely works a lot better when he’s a part of college football’s premier program than it did at his previous high-profile gigs where he ultimately didn’t live up to expectations. There simply is no better job than being a coordinator under Nick Saban with all that eye-popping talent that Alabama puts on the field year after year.

But yeah, you win a game 52-6 and you earn the right to tweet whatever you want. And you wouldn’t expect anything less from Lane Kiffin.

Eveyone loves a NASCAR fight. Two testosterone fueled alpha males who want to show they’re king of the jungle after being stuck in a racecar all day usually provide some solid entertainment.  And we got a good one today after a wild Chevrolet Silverado 250.

After John Hunter Nemechek and Cole Juster rammed each other back and forth in the final lap, Nemechek was first to the finish line in a photo finish. Juster didn’t appreciate Nemechek’s aggressive driving and Juster decided to throw down. Juster came after Nemechek like a spider monkey and scored a sick takedown before the two were separated.

avengers vs transformers video

The Avengers vs. Transformers fan-made trailer is here from the fine folks at Screen Rant, just in time to wrap up a summer film season with a Labor Day weekend. It’s pretty cool — but we’re a little reserved about joining the raves, because this was had to be a relatively easy supercut.

There’s a lot of mayhem in Transformers movies, and a lot of mayhem in Avengers movies. It’s not really that difficult to just toss in some Avengers saying things while the Transformers fly around. Also, it’s irritating they couldn’t find a daytime scene for Peter Quill’s token appearance. Still, it’s some big dopey fun, and more enjoyable as a trailer than a 3-hour epic…

Rachel Bush, Florida Atlantic University

Rachel Bush

“My biggest pet peeve is when people judge me based solely on my looks or social media. Or judge anyone based on that, as a matter of fact! Little do they know that I earned my Associate’s Degree while still in high school. Never judge a book by its cover!”

Meghann Morrow, Kent State University

Meghann Moriarty

“As soon as I stepped onto Kent State’s campus, I felt at home and I felt like I could make a life here for the next four years. On top of the welcoming environment that Kent State had, both the schools of journalism and fashion’s programs are ranked nationally. With that all being said, it was the best decision I’ve ever made.”

Michaela Moriarty, Arizona State University

Michaela Moriarty

“Arizona State holds so many opportunities for students to succeed; with a diverse and enthusiastic student body, gorgeous campus, and compassionate faculty. Specifically, as a Political Science student, I’ve had the pleasure of working with amazing professionals such as John Dean, who was the counsel to former President Nixon. There’s a merit to the campus that is awarded the title of “#1 Most Innovative College in America.” I chose to attend Arizona State University because I am the first in my family to attend higher education so I wanted to take advantage of it with a fresh start.”

“I’m from beautiful Orange County, California. It was always my dream to go out of state and get out of my comfort zone. New Mexico is such a hidden treasure and has endless outdoor actives, perfect weather and the most beautiful sky, sunsets, and mountains. UNM is amazing because you can get your masters within 5 years, which I am doing. I love UNM because our sports teams are amazing, tailgates are insane, and there is always something fun going on, even if it’s a Sunday night in January.”

The Comedy Central Roast always provides tons of laughs, and this year’s Roast of Rob Lowe should be no exception. In the politically correct world we now live in, the Comedy Central Roast is the last bastion for savage comedy where absolutely anything goes as long as it’s funny.

Past guests of honor included Bob Saget, Justin Bieber, Charlie Sheen, Pamela Anderson, Joan Rivers, and Donald Trump. Rob Lowe might not be quite up there with the best of those names, but his lengthy acting career, sex tape and nanny lawsuits will provide plenty of ammo.

The roast will be hosted by David Spade, and feature “Roastmaster General” Jeff Ross, Nikki Glaser, Peyton Manning, Jewel, Rob Riggle, Jimmy Carr, Pete Davidson and Ann Coulter.

As We Approach The 15 Year Anniversary Of 9/11, Let’s Remember The Story Of The Man In The Red Bandana

Memorial photo via Kristen M. Brown

I was in the third grade when 9/11 happened, and like most people who were relatively conscious humans at the time, I remember almost every detail of the day. I was in said third-grade classroom, sitting on one of the beanbag chairs reading on of the A Series of Unfortunate Events books (the exact book in the series escapes me). An announcement came over the loudspeaker, it was our Principal, Mr. Benfatti. Mr. Benfatti never used the loudspeaker. He announced that there had been an attack on the World Trade Center, which at the time, I had not the slightest clue what that was. Not long after, the first student to be picked up by their parents was out the door. As for the rest of us, we were instructed to remain in the classroom. Then the second student was removed from class, and as an 8-year-old who rather hated school, I began to become jealous. Why did they get to go home and not me? Clearly, I had no comprehension of the gravity of what was happening.

I was the third student to be picked up, and it wasn’t until I got home that I began to truly wrap my head around what had happened  My mom worked in New York City for her entire career. She used to point to the New York City skyline and tell me she worked in ‘the building with the slanted roof.’ As my mom was describing to me coming out of the Lincoln Tunnel and seeing the smoke in the air, I began to realize what was happening. It wasn’t until my mom used the phrase “The Twin Towers” did I realize which buildings the World Trade Center was.

One of the things I remember asking my Mom is why weren’t people more concerned with the Pentagon. “But Mom, why isn’t the news talking about the Pentagon? That’s our government. All of the secrets are there!” Her answer was short, but it got the point across. “Honey, there are more lives in the Twin Towers. More people have lost their families.”

Two of the people who lost their family on September 11 are Jefferson and Allison Crowther, the parents of Welles Crowther. Welles Crowther, who’s known amongst New Yorkers, and Americans, as The Man In The Red Bandana, was a 24-year-old equities trader working in the South Tower, known for saving at least a dozen lives on that day.

When Welles was 6 years old, his father gave him a red bandanna that would become a signature trademark and a link between father and son,  that he would carry with him everywhere, wearing one under all of his sports uniforms in high school. At 16 years old, Crowther joined his father as a volunteer firefighter by becoming a junior member of the Empire Hook and Ladder Company. For college, he attended Boston College, where he played lacrosse, and yes, wore his red bandana under his helmet. After graduating in 1999 with honors with a degree in economics, Crowther moved to New York City, taking a job as an equities trader for Sandler O’Neill and Partners, whose office was on 104th floor of South Tower of the World Trade Center. Crowther had always wanted to be in the trade business, however, once he got there, he eventually came to dislike the monotony desk work, and discussed dreams of joining the FDNY with his father.

Crowther’s family was unaware of the exact details of their son’s death, until Allison Crowther read the firsthand accounts of survivors Ling Young and Judy Wein in The New York Times piece “Fighting to Live as the Towers Died”.

A few minutes behind this group was Ling Young, who also survived the impact in the sky lobby. She, too, said she had been steered by the man in the red bandanna, hearing him call out: “This way to the stairs.” He trailed her down the stairs. Ms. Young said she soon noticed that he was carrying a woman on his back. Once they reached clearer air, he put her down and went back up.

A mysterious man appeared at one point, his mouth and nose covered with a red handkerchief. He was looking for a fire extinguisher. As Judy Wein recalls, he pointed to the stairs and made an announcement that saved lives: Anyone who can walk, get up and walk now. Anyone who can perhaps help others, find someone who needs help and then head down.

Determined to confirm if that was their beloved Welles,  Allison met with the people that Welles had saved, who confirmed through photographs that the identity of the man who aided them was indeed Welles.

According to survivor accounts, Crowther saved as many as 18 people that day. When Crowther’s body was finally found on March 19, 2002, he was found alongside several emergency workers and firefighters.

OSU Quiz A

Every year, Ohio State University’s own Dr. Christopher Callam allows one student in his organic chemistry to shoot an incredibly difficult waste paper basketball shot for the chance to give everyone an A on a quiz. It’s an extremely difficult shot: a student must hit the basket from across the room and up a level. To make things even worse, you only get one shot.

According to Dr. Callam, last year was the first year in around ten years that someone made it, but surprisingly no one had it recorded on their phone. So this year, when he gave one student the same chance, he told everyone to record it. Dr. Callam crumpled a piece of paper together and tossed it up for anyone to grab.

Enter Vinny Forte from Richmond Heights. He grabbed the ball, whispered “Kobe” under his breath (probably) and hit a shot for the ages.

Absolutely gorgeous and about as flawless as can be, British fashion model Jourdan Dunn is as hot as it gets. Maybe even hotter, but who are we to assign her a rank? All we know is that this woman is by far one hot and tasty piece of model booty!

Making her way into the modeling scene back in 2006, Jourdan didn’t waste any time making her way onto the runway by 2007 as the first black model to walk for Prada. Although she was only 16 when she first began modeling, we’ve got to witness this gorgeous woman take the modeling scene by storm within the 9 years that she’s been strutting her stuff pro-model style. In 2014, Jourdan was announced as the new gorgeous face for Maybelline New York and was declared an icon by Models.com. Oh, and she made a casual appearance in Beyonce’s music video for the song “Yonce.” Did we mention that Forbes also listed her as one of the top-earning models in the industry? Basically, Jourdan is not only super hot and talented, but she’s also loaded as well!

But beyond her good looks and obvious modeling talent, Jourdan Dunn still remains one heck of a babe, just to top it all off! Don’t believe us? Check out this gorgeous supermodel with your own two eyes by sneaking a peek of Jourdan Dunn’s hottest photos on the internet in the gallery below!

James Hinchcliff

“Vote for Hinch” was the chant that filled Watkins Glen International Speedway before the Verizon IndyCar Series race kicked off on Sunday.  The self-proclaimed Mayor of Hinchtown is set to compete on the upcoming 23rd season of Dancing with the Stars next week.  To prepare for the competition, Hinch got some professional dancing instruction from fellow Indycar driver and DTWS season 5 winner Helio Castroneves.

How well Hinchcliff will fare is yet to be seen. At first glance, he doesn’t appear to have the natural finesse of his Brazilian racing counterpart. But if Hinch’s dancing is anything like his driving, he will certainly end up on the top of the pack  The 2016 Little League World Series Champions Maine-Endwell watched along as the performed their duties as Grand Marshall.  Check out the video below.

Hinch also recorded this hilarious Dancing with the Stars campaign video last weekend.  The video offers up some good insight into James Hinchcliff’s comedic personality, for those of you who may be less familiar with the Canadian IndyCar driver.

High School Bullies Dumped A Deaf Student’s Backpack In The Toilet

High School Bullying

Alex Hernandez, a deaf student at Burke High School in Oklahoma, was the target of some awful high school bullying last week. In the photo above, you can see the contents of Hernandez’s backpack in a toilet. As you might have guessed, it wound up in the bathroom after bullies dumped it there. The photo has gone viral in a show of support for Hernandez and other victims of bullying.

CollegeCandy discovered that the contents of his backpack included “his tablet, homework, school supplies, his debit card, and his cochlear implant.” Most of that stuff sounds pretty expensive.

As for what happened to the backpack, Hernandez explained that it was taken from him while he was at lunch. When he told the school security about his missing bag, they discovered from CCTV footage that two d*ckheads had walked off with his bag. Hernandez claims he doesn’t know either of the boys.  “Those students think it’s OK to bully a deaf student, but it’s not. It’s not OK to bully someone who is disabled, deaf or hard of hearing. Or anyone for that matter.” Hernandez told the Fox affiliate.

Sadly, this isn’t the first time that he has been bullied because of his deafness, but we’re hoping that it’s the last. As for the backpack? A GoFundMe has been set up in Alex Hernandez’s name, and at the time of this article, the site has reached its goal of $800.

There are many Americans who feel as though Hillary Clinton is sick and hiding some serious illness from the public. They feel like that’s the reason she’s wearing sweaters and jackets in the hot summer sun–to cover up various medical devices that are keeping her alive. So this past Monday when she went on a nearly 2-minute-long coughing fit at a Cleveland rally, Hillary Clinton’s new nickname became #HackingHillary.

The #HackingHillary meme is still somewhat new, but a lot of Trump fans have already started hopping on the boat.

Ole Miss QB Chad Kelly Deletes Twitter After Being Exposed Sliding Into Mia Khalifa’s DMs

Mia Khalifa Chad Kelly Florida State Twitter

If Mia Khalifa is famous for something other than her former profession, it is her dedication to the Florida State Seminoles. And if she had to be famous for a third thing, it’d be outing all the athletes that slide in her DMs. Her latest victim? Ole Miss quarterback Chad Kelly.

Tough Labor day for Kelly. He started the game against FSU throwing three TDs, leading the Rebels to a 28-13 halftime lead. Then, in the second half, he throws a few picks, can’t convert two-point conversion, and the next thing you know, Ole Miss is losing  45-34. But Kelly’s night would get worse off the field, too, as Seminole mega-fan Mia Khalifa decided to embarrass him in front of the entire nation.

I give credit to Kelly for this, though, and that’s the set he’s got on him. I mean, he HAS to have known she’d do this, ESPECIALLY because he was playing her beloved squad. You gotta assume that win, lose, or draw, she was going to put you on blast.
