Kyle Cox, the former basketball coach of one of Indiana’s top high school programs, was arrested at his home today. He is being charged with one count of coercion and enticement, according to a criminal complaint filed Thursday.

The 31-year-old former Park Tudor coach was taken into custody today, months after he resigned from his job back in December.

A graduate of Ball State University, where he played both basketball and golf, Kyle Cox had been coaching at Park Tudor since 2009. He was praised by his peers for his use of analytics and strategy, both of which netted him a final record of 55-6 when he resigned.

IndyStar.com states that a police report filed on on January 7th linked Cox to an investigation that involved a teenage victim.

Kyle was arrested by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, the same task force responsible for the arrest of Jared Fogle. Here is their official statement on the case:

In regards to an ongoing criminal investigation, the Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force served a search warrant at Park Tudor School (7200 N. College Ave Indianapolis, IN 46240). This search warrant was administrative in nature and there shouldn’t be any disruption of the student’s learning environment. During the initial stages of the search warrant service, it was necessary to secure the entrances and exits of the school, as we would in all similar instances. At this time, we are unable to release any additional details related to this ongoing criminal investigation.

The entire Park Tudor community became suspicious first after Kyle resigned without warning late in 2015, and then after their principal committed suicide just three weeks later.

Nick Blom turned legendary last night when he was arrested in Temple University’s Tech Center for allegedly stealing 28 Twinkies from a local 7/11 and stuffing them down his pants. Now, we don’t advocate stealing, but the story was pretty f*cking hilarious.

Unfortunately the real reason for his arrest isn’t even half as awesome.

Blom was seen being escorted out of the Tech Center by Temple police around 10 p.m.. The officers logged the reason as disorderly conduct. Womp, womp.

According to student Riley Conahan, a sophomore who was there for the arrest, everything started when the manager started cleaning up the space.

She says a male student was studying next to her when “the manager” came into the room, pushing in chairs and cleaning up. This male was identified by another student as Nick Blom, a Junior at Temple. He saw the student next to Riley had his jacket draped over another vacant chair and asked him to remove it. Riley says the student moved his jacket to the floor, and the manager said, “Excuse me, do you have a problem? Please pick up your jacket,” and the student asked why, saying there was no one there and asked where he would like him to put it.

“You know what, I don’t want you here. You have two minutes to get out.” replied the manager.

Instead of leaving, Blom got into an argument with the manager, who then called the cops and had him escorted off the premises.

“It was the stupidest situation ever. We were all laughing about it, and then 15 minutes later two cops came back and were like, ‘alright, buddy, let’s go,’ and the the kid was like ‘why am I being escorted out right now?’” said Riley. It got worse.

“Then the cops just grabbed him out of his chair, and the kid was yelling at us to record it. Then the cops were trying to calm him down, and they somehow smacked his head off the desk and pushed him to the ground and were on top of him and then escorted him out.”

Yeah ok, definitely not as interesting as getting busted for stolen Twinkies. Luckily, Blom was just excited to be featured on Temple’s Snapchat.

Wiz Khalifa has made a career off of smoking weed and rapping about it. Not too shabby– certainly beats my job. Even crazier is that he’s been doing it for almost a decade. That’s right, Wiz released his debut album, Show and Prove, in 2006. He then signed to Warner Bros. Records in 2007. Since then, he has released 4 albums, with his 5th, “Khalifa” being released on February 5, 2016.

The album is his first album of original material since Blacc Hollywood (2014). The album will feature guest appearances from Travi$ Scott, Ty Dolla $ign, Sebastian, Rico Love, Courtney Noelle, Juicy J and Chevy Woods. It was preceded by the single “Bake Sale” featuring Travi$ Scott.

Budweiser just released their Super Bowl 2016 commercial, and it pulls no punches letting small breweries know they’re the king of beer. The 60-second spot is called #NotBackingDown and sends a strong message as part of their new #Macro campaign that debuted during the last Super Bowl.

Personally, I’m a fan of the ad. It’s like why would they tiptoe around the fact that they’re America’s #1 lager when that’s the level that everyone else is trying to achieve?

Katie May, a popular social media model who was commonly referred to as the “Queen of Snapchat,” has died after suffering a stroke. The model had been suffering from neck pain and was seeking treatment prior to her stroke on Monday. She was 34.

According to TMZ, “May had been hospitalized since Monday when a blockage in her carotid artery caused the “catastrophic” stroke. She remained in critical condition until her death. Sources tell TMZ she was taken off life support Thursday evening, and she died in L.A. surrounded by family and loved ones.”

Her brother has since released a statement:

“It is with heavy hearts that we confirm the passing today of Katie May – mother, daughter, sister, friend, businesswoman, model and social media star – after suffering a catastrophic stroke caused by a blocked carotid artery on Monday,” the statement reads.

Known as MsKatieMay on the Internet and the “Queen of Snapchat,” she leaves behind millions of fans and followers, and a heartbroken family. We respectfully ask for privacy in this this difficult time. Those wishing to contribute to the living trust being set up for the care of her young daughter may do so at her GoFundMe page.”

Young Thug, everyone’s favorite American rapper who’s invented a language of his own, released his new album Slime Season 3 today–although he now claims it’s called I’m Up.

I’ll get right to the point. I am in no way, shape, or form a Young Thug fan. He’s so f*cked up on drugs all the time (think Lil Wayne five or six years ago, but without the critical acclaim or success) that I’m not entirely convinced even he understands what he’s talking about.

The first track on the album, “F Cancer,” literally never mentions cancer once. I chose not to listen to any more of the songs because, like I said earlier, I think he sucks.

That being said, if you f*ck with Young Thug, you’ll probably like his newest effort.

You’re going to hate Benny James.

The 22-year-old from Croydon claims that he’s managed to sleep with over 400 women, and says that because of it, his life is in shambles.

In a recent interview with Metro, James claims having too much sex has ruined his life because he feels no attraction to the ladies he’s banging after they do the deed. Considering he also claims that he wants to settle down and start a family, this tends to be an issue.

“Since the start of the year I’ve been out with six girls – one for a whole week,” he explains. “I’ve tried to calm down the sex – I’m only sleeping with about two each week now. But when they’re easy my willy doesn’t come up after the first time we have sex.” Poor willy.

But I mean… is this real though? It sounds pretty f*cking weird. Not to mention, he is literally the worst, so I’m confused about who would actually sleep with him in the first place.

Aside from those little nuggets of gold, he’s also constantly posting photos of girls sans clothing. However, James has since identified his “addiction” and plans on looking for ways to fix it:

“I look at them and all they want from me is sex but I can’t give it to them. They could be Rhianna but it doesn’t matter. I’m really bored of having sex all the time. Foxes, the pop singer behind the ridiculously catchy single “Body Talk,” released her second album All I Need today. It’s getting lukewarm reviews–but only because critics claim she’s playing it too safe, not because it’s not any good. All I Need is still upbeat and fun, which are two things that people are going to look for in an unapologetically pop album.

Foxes, whose real name Louisa Rose Allen, began working on the album back in January of 2015. When asked about her influence and direction of All I Need, she stated that it was based on past relationships and that “It’s quite an emotional album. It’s got elements from the first one, but it’s definitely not as produced.”

When Syracuse senior Alex Purdy left her sorority last semester, it was not without bitterness. And in a new video that is currently making waves online, she bluntly states what future pledges will be getting themselves into if they end up in the greek system.

She starts off by saying that she is not trying to be spiteful, but wanted to talk about her experience and try to encourage change. Apparently she wanted to originally join a sorority for the positive atmosphere. Obviously, that didn’t work out too well for her.

“It was appealing to hear that it’s full of women who encourage each other to be their best self, full of women who want to develop intellectually–full of loyal friends,” she says.

Instead, she found that the girls wanted her to change, to look a certain way, and be “sluttier” so more guys would like her.

For the most part, Purdy seems brutally honest about her time in the sorority, which she never actually refers to directly. Good thing, considering the horror stories would definitely get them banned from campus. According to her, girls were told they wouldn’t be allowed to stay if they had FUPAS, and there was one incident when a Big put a weight loss supplement into her Little’s bag, as a hint.

She wound up leaving the sorority at her own will, but decided to make this video to inform other people the truth behind sorority life, hoping she could make a change.

She stated the biggest problem was  “the overwhelming lack of compassion for one another.”

So far, the video has been viewed almost 102,000 times, and social media has been flooded with her created hashtag, #SororityRevamp, invoking debate throughout various college campuses.

You really think people show up just to watch the game and hope Beyonce takes over the halftime show in bootie shorts? No. Everyone wants a sh*t ton of beer and food. Like enough to gorge themselves on for days after, if you’re nice enough to give them some leftovers.

Seven Layer Dip

1 (16oz) can refried beans
3 avocados or 1¼ cup guacamole
1 Tbsp lemon or lime juice (omit if using guacamole)
¼ tsp sea salt (omit if using guacamole)
¾ cup light sour cream
½ cup light mayo
3 Tbsp Homemade Taco Seasoning Mix or 1 packet store-bought taco seasoning
2 large tomatoes, diced or 1¼ cup salsa
1 (6oz) can medium black olives, sliced
1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
3 green onions, sliced

Instructions
1. Spread refried beans on a LARGE plate or 10-inch pie dish.
2. If you are using the avocados instead of guacamole, mix/puree them with the lemon/lime juice and sea salt. Drop by spoonfuls and spread over refried beans.
3. In another bowl, mix the sour cream, mayo, and taco seasoning. Drop by spoonfuls and spread over avocados/guacamole.
4. Layer the rest of the dip as follows: diced tomatoes/salsa, sliced olives, shredded cheese, and sliced green onions.
5. Chill dip; tastes better when cold. Serve with tortilla chips.

Beef Layer:
1 Tbsp vegetable oil
½ medium yellow onion, diced
½ lb ground beef
1 large garlic clove
Salt
½ tsp chipotle chili pepper powder
¼ tsp paprika
½ tsp cumin
2 Tbsp sour cream
1 Tbsp tomato paste

Remaining Layers:
2 jalapeno peppers, seeded and diced
½ cup canned black beans, drained
½ cup canned corn, drained
1 tomato, seeded and diced
2 Tbsp fresh cilantro, minced
1½ cups shredded Mexican cheese mix
Cumin
Salt
Chipotle chili pepper powder

Instructions:
1. Heat up oven-safe skillet (8-inch skillet) over medium heat and add vegetable oil.
2. Add diced onion and saute until transparent.
3. Add ground beef and cook, covered and stirring often, until almost done.
4. Add grated (or pressed) garlic, salt, paprika, cumin, chipotle chili powder. Mix well and cook until done.
5. Stir in sour cream and tomato paste into the beef until fully combined. Spread beef evenly throughout the skillet. Take off heat.
6. Turn off stove-top heat and turn the oven on to 350.
7. Layer diced jalapeno peppers, then beans, then corn, then diced tomato. Sprinkle some salt and cumin over the veggies. Add cilantro on top.
8. Spread cheese evenly all over veggies. Sprinkle a little more salt and some chipotle chili pepper powder over cheese.
9. Place skillet in the oven and bake for 20 minutes.
10.Serve with chips.

Greek Layer Dip

1, 1o-ounce container of hummus, your favorite flavor (I used roasted garlic)
1/2 cup plain non-fat Greek yogurt
1 tomato, diced
1/2 cup diced, seeded cucumber
1/3 cup crumbled feta cheese
1/4 cup pitted Kalamata olives, chopped
2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley
Pita chips, carrots, broccoli, sliced bell peppers, or crackers, for serving

Instructions:
1. Spread the hummus in a smooth layer in the bottom of an 8×8-inch square baking dish, a shallow pie dish, or similar serving dish. Dollop the Greek yogurt by small spoonfuls over the top, then gently spread to create a new layer.

Loaded Baked Potato Dip

1 large russet potato
8 ounces thick-cut bacon
8 ounces plain non-fat Greek yogurt
8 ounces reduced-fat sour cream
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
3/4 cup freshly grated sharp cheddar cheese
3 tablespoons chopped fresh chives, divided
For serving: Kettle Brand Krinkle Cut Salt & Fresh Ground Black Pepper Chips

Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F. Line a large, rimmed baking sheet with foil, then place an ovenproof baking rack on top. Arrange the bacon in a single layer on the baking rack, then bake until crisp, about 12-15 minutes depending upon the thickness of your bacon. Remove from the baking rack to a paper towel-lined plate. Let cool, then dice into small pieces.
2. Meanwhile, prick the potato all over with a fork, then place on a microwave-safe plate. Microwave on high for 6-10 minutes or until soft and cooked through. Let cool. 3. Slice the potato in half, then carefully scoop the insides out into a mixing bowl. Discard the skins.
4. With a fork, mash the potato until smooth. Add the Greek yogurt, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Add the cheddar, 2 tablespoons of the chives, and all but 2 tablespoons of the bacon. Stir to combine. Taste and add additional salt or pepper as desired.
5. Transfer to a serving bowl, then sprinkle the remaining bacon and chives over the top. Serve warm or at room temperature with potato chips. (For directions to serve hot, see recipe notes below).

1 tablespoon olive oil
1 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut crosswise in half
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
1 cup Frank’s® RedHot® Original Cayenne Pepper, or more, to taste
1 (16-ounce) black bean refried beans
4 ounces PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, cubed
1 cup shredded Mexican blend cheese
2 tablespoons sour cream
1 avocado, halved, seeded, peeled and sliced
2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro leaves

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Lightly coat an 8×8 baking dish with nonstick spray.
2. Heat olive oil in a medium skillet over medium high heat. Season chicken breast with salt and pepper, to taste. Add to skillet and cook, flipping once, until cooked through, about 3-4 minutes per side. Let cool before shredding and combining with Frank’s RedHot; set aside.
3. Reheat refried beans according to package instructions. Spread the refried beans in an even layer into the prepared baking dish. Without stirring, top with PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese. Spread the chicken mixture on top in an even layer and sprinkle with cheese.
4. Place into oven and bake until bubbly, about 15-18 minutes.
5. Serve immediately, drizzled with sour cream and garnished with avocado and cilantro, if desired.

“They hit me, daddy. What was that?”

Those are the words of a child who bore witness to a shooting at the Regency Hotel in Dublin, which occured at a weigh-in for boxing match called the “Clash of Clans.” Incredibly the whole scene was caught on film. Thankfully, the child heard on camera wasn’t actually shot or injured.

From what we had read on the descriptions of the Regency Hotel shooting itself, the scene was surreal enough. But this new footage shows exactly how frightening it must have been.

During the shooting, one man was killed and three others were wounded. Irish Police, known as the Gardai, believe that the crime is in relation to gang activity. The Guardian reports the dead man is known to police as a key member of a drug smuggling crime ring that runs out of Spain. Police believe the killers, who escaped on foot through a football club, represented a rival gang.

It’s believed the gunmen were dressed as policemen.

According to The Tab, a member of the BSU executive board spotted the car earlier this morning on her way to work and sent it out to the rest of the executive board.

Temple junior Kelly Dawson elaborates:

Kelly, who is also the BSU President said: “A member of the executive board saw this while walking to work this morning and sent it out to the rest of our executive board.”

She added: “I was thinking of contacting the police because there should be cameras in the area. We were going to look into reporting this as a hate crime.”

Dawson immediately tweeted the photo once in her possession and got responses similar to her initial reaction. It has already been retweeted over 100 times.

Temple has since released a statement saying the incident is under investigation.

From 2010 to early 2011, Future released a series of mixtapes—1000, Streetz Calling, Dirty Sprite, and True Story. Keep in mind, that’s over the course of two years. His hard work paid, though. In 2011, Future signed a deal with Epic Records.

Future’s debut album Pluto is released in April to generally positive reviews. “At times tasteful and other times tasteless,” wrote one reviewer, “Pluto demonstrates a bravado that knows no shame.” The album produced five singles, all of which managed to secure a spot on Billboard‘s Hot Top 100 chart.

Astronaut Status, another mixtape, was actually released shortly before Pluto because, why not?

Of course, the Future wasn’t done with 2012 yet. In November of that same year, he re-released Pluto—the re-packaged album was dubbed Pluto 3D. It featured 3 new songs and 2 remix songs including the remix for “Same Damn Time” featuring Diddy and Ludacris, as well as his newest street single “Neva End (Remix)” featuring Kelly Rowland.

2013 – 2015

Honest, Future’s second album, was released in April 2014. “Lots of rappers talk about drugs, but Future is one of the few whose music makes you feel like you’re actually on some,” wrote The Rolling Stone in its review. “When he raps, it’s in pulse-racing staccato bursts; when he sings, his Auto-Tuned vowels stretch and melt like alien dreams.”

But, Future wasn’t done surprising. In July of 2015, he unexpectedly dropped his third album—DS2—which got him his first No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

On Sept. 20, Future collaborated with Drake to make the mixtape What a Time to Be Alive, which was released on iTunes and Apple Music.

2016

With only a 11-hour notice, on Jan. 17, Future released his first mixtape of the year: Purple Reign.

On Feb. 4, Future announced that his newest album—EVOL—will drop on Feb. 6 through Epic Records. The title, he explained is “love” spelled backwards. The album’s track list has already been revealed. “Low Life,” his previously released collaboration with the Weeknd, will be featured.

It’s still early in the year, so there’s no telling what 2016 will bring in the future for Future—though, probably more music.

You need something tasteful yet nothing overpowering and something that you can drink all day. This weekend I am drinking a newly released IPA that is perfect for any occasion; this weekend Sierra Nevada Brewing Company’ Beer Camp Tropical IPA is What’s on Tap!

A few years ago Sierra Nevada had this idea of a “beer camp” which is kinda like summer camp but a lot more beer and a lot less creepy sleeping arrangements. Every year they brew collaborative beers with different breweries and even homebrewers and then the following Spring they would take the best of the best and mass produce the beer. This year’s beer is a fanatic IPA that I hope sticks around for some time.

Tropical IPA is everything one wants in an IPA, nice hazy golden color, huge fruitiness in both the aroma and the taste, delicious lip smacking hops, and a non-overpowering bitter finish. What stands out to me is obviously the tropical fruit blend in the middle of the taste of mango, orange, and pineapple flavors but also how low the IBUs are (55) this means I can enjoy more than a few pints!

Enjoy this brew with whatever deep fried food / appetizers you are enjoying; I have found for Super Bowl Sunday the beer is always the main dish and the food is second.

The Super Bowl is this weekend and while we’re really looking forward to yelling at our TVs for three and a half hours straight, there’s one thing that’s even better than that: the food.
