Today we learned that months after escaping from maximum security prison last year, Joaquin Guzman underwent elective male enhancement surgery in Tijuana [lead image via Rolling Stone].

Mexican newspaper reporters at Reforma, who apparently spoke in Spanish to sources close to El Chapo’s investigation, revealed that the Drug Lord had received a testicular prosthesis that improves blood flow and alleviate erectile disfunction. According to these same sources, it is believed that El Chapo suffered from ED.

Here’s a report from Mexican journalist Carlos Loret of SinEmbargo:

“According to sources at the first level in the National Security Commission, [Guzmán] went to Tijuana to receive an aesthetic treatment and undergo a surgery to implant a prosthesis, a procedure that usually requires general anesthetic and an operating room,” and which could not be done in the mountains of Sinaloa, according to Loret.

Loret said that Mexican authorities also recovered injectable testosterone, syringes, antibiotics, anti-inflammitories, and a pharmacy note for more than 4,000 pesos’ worth of drugs to improve sexual performance from the home where he was recaptured on January 8.”

Don’t get me wrong here, El Chapo is still an extremely dangerous man responsible for the deaths of hundreds (possibly thousands) but it does not surprise me one bit that a man who made paisley shirts famous suffers from erectile disfunction. That’s an affliction that we all have to deal with as men at some point or other.

But can we talk about the balls this guy to leave his safe house in the Sierra Madre Mountains, head to Tijuana, and get put under anesthesia to get elective surgery on his penis? That requires some serious trust. Of course, he probably had the families of the doctors and nurses tied up and doused with gasoline in case something went wrong, but that’s still ballsy to me.

On the other hand, there’s definitely a possibility that this story is just propaganda that the Mexican government will use to take their Public Enemy #1 down a peg or two.

The sixth Republican debate of this election cycle will be held on January 12, 2016, at 9:00 PM EST from North Charleston, South Carolina. The debate will air on Fox Business Network, but will be available for live stream on their website. Neil Cavuto and Maria Bartiromo will be the moderators.

The main debate stage will host businessman Donald Trump, U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas,  U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida, retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, and Ohio Gov. John Kasich.

The “JV” debate, which is at 6 PM EST, will feature Sen. Rand Paul, Carly Fiorina, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and former Sen. Rick Santorum.

During its last debate, FBN focused on its topic of expertise, the economy, and proved to come out as the better business network after a widely criticized run by competitor CNBC. Thursday will also focus in on economic issues while also touch upon domestic and international policies.

As of right now, it’s not exactly a tight race:

As you can tell, Trump is still way ahead in the polls, but Ted Cruz is making a pretty impressive comeback. Based on the predictions from Western Illinois University – which surprisingly holds some weight considering their impressive track record – we have little hope for Jeb Bush, who managed to make his way pretty far down the totem poll. Maybe this debate will have people changing their minds?

We’ll just have to wait and see.

Zachary Kafer, 20, a Texas Tech student from Pearland, TX was stabbed multiple times early Thursday morning during an altercation and died at University Medical Center Emergency Room. Reed Harmon, a Texas Tech student said that he saw Zachary standing at the door of a car when he screamed. Details are still incoming, but LubbockOnline states that Reed drove Zachary to UMC in his car. Upon arrival, Zachary was unconcious.

Police were called to the scene at an ATM at a parking lot outside Mesquites Bar and Grill in the 2400 block of Broadway where they learned that a John Allen, 20, was the suspect. John was arrested at the U-Loft Apartments in the 1000 block of University Avenue and he admitted to using his pocket knife to stab Zachary.

Reports of what actually happened during the altercation are still coming in, but I think that we can all agree that a death from a stabbing during a bar fight is tragic. So for that and many other reasons, our hearts go out to Zachary’s friends and family.

Mesquites Bar and Grill released this statement regarding the stabbing.:

Mesquites would like to first express our condolences to the family and friends of this tragic accident.

Sometime between 12:45 and 1:15 am Thursday morning a Mesquites employee was notified lot stabbing incident on Broadway. After initial investigation it was determined that this incident took place on a parking lot next to Mesquites in which is neither controlled nor owned by Mesquites. Although Mesquites is certain that no altercation or incident occurred in Mesquites or anywhere on Mesquites property, Mesquites is aiding in any way possible. Police were notified by a bystander and soon arrived and started to conduct an investigation.

Tennessee couple John and Lisa Robinson are some of the first to come forward as supposed Powerball winners. But here’s the weird part – they have yet to get their ticket confirmed by lottery officials.

It’s pretty ballsy to go on live TV and announce your $529 million winnings to the world without actually having everything verified… but apparently the Robinson’s don’t care about jinxing their luck.

The couple went on NBC’s Today Show to show off their winning ticket:

During the TV interview, the couple discussed their bout of monetary luck, explaining that they actually bought the ticket just two hours before the cutoff.

“I really didn’t feel like stopping,” Mr Robinson said. He wasn’t feeling too well and was tired, but decided to stop at a nearby grocery store anyway. He bought four tickets at Naifeh’s to represent each member of his family, then went home to sleep, leaving his wife to check the numbers after the late-night drawing.

After triple checking to make sure the numbers were in fact a match, she woke up her husband and had him check as well. Initially they were in disbelief – the chances of them winning were not in their favor – and decided to not tell anyone about their supposed winnings.

“I’ll believe it when the news comes on in the morning and they say there’s a winner down in Munford,” Mr Robinson recalled.

After seeing a local news station show up at the grocery store the next day, they immediately contacted their lawyer Joe Townsend, who recommended they come forward with their winnings on national news before turning in their ticket… weird advice coming from a lawyer, but whatever.

“I think the American public wants to hear from them, and even though they want to be private after this is over, they want to let the public know that they’re the winners,” Mr Townsend explained.

According to the Daily Mail, the couple has yet to decide on what they will do with their winnings.

Since they are splitting the $1.586billion jackpot with two others, the Robinsons stand to gain a prize of $529million if they choose the annuity or $327million with a lump sum payment.

As for how they plan to spend their winnings, the Robinsons say they will pay off some loans but haven’t made any other plans.

They say they want to stay in Munford, and that Mrs Robinson hopes to keep on working.

They also plan on giving donations to their church as well as organizations close to their heart like St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

The other two winning tickets were sold in Melbourne Beach, Florida, and Chino Hills, California.

John Allen, a 20-year-old man residing in Lubbock, Texas was arrested and charged with the stabbing and murder of Zachary Kafer, a 20-year-old Texas Tech student. After he was arrested at his U-Loft Apartment, John Allen confessed to police that he had stabbed Zachary with a pocket knife. According to his testimony, John visited Mesquites to inquire about a job as a bouncer. After discussing the opportunity with employees, he went to an ATM next door which is when he first encountered Zachary.

Allen claims Zachary reached into his car and punched him in the head while he was sitting in the drivers seat. That’s when he pulled out his pocket knife and swung it at Zachary. He cleaned the knife off and went home.

Yasiin Bey, aka Mos Def, was arrested in South Africa at the Cape Town International Airport for traveling with fraudulent documents, specifically something that he called a “World Passport.” Apparently, the South African government’s biggest problem is that there is no such thing as a “World Passport” so they detained him. So what was he doing in South Africa? According to the NY Daily News, Mos Def was chilling with his family in South Africa but had apparently overstayed his visa without the proper permits.

“Mr Smith has been living in SA with his family without the necessary permits, he was detained upon departure for using illegal travel docs,” Department of Home Affairs Spokesman Mayihlome Tshwete said. “SAPS (South African Police Service) has charged him with usage of fraudulent travel documents.”

“The matter is currently before the courts,” he continued. “The Department Of Home Affairs has given Mr Smith and his family 14 days to leave the republic [source].”

It’s hard to believe that a man like Mos Def could make a mistake like using a “world passport,” even if he’s trying to leave the country after having overstayed his welcome, so we’re wondering what the hell he was thinking.

Update: OK, so we did some research and found that something called a World Passport actually does exist.

The World Passport is a travel document issued by the World Service Authority, which is really a non-profit started by Broadway actor Gary Davis in 1954. Today the World Passport isn’t recognized by 98% of governments, partially because it was used by a Palestinian terrorist who hijacked the MS Achille Lauro to escape authorities. However, the WSA claims that it is accepted in African nations like Mauritania, Tanzania, and Togo.

Perhaps Mos Def was hoping that he had a small chance of getting on a plane to one of those countries.

ASU guys will show you a good time, but Penn College guys will build you an amazing house, fix your car, buy you a keg and explore the outdoors with you. Truthfully, because of the differences in surroundings, it’s hard to even compare the two.

There are so many amazing companies out there I would love to work for… (Hey there, COED Media 😉)  it’s going to be so hard to choose, but I would really love to work with a professional sports team, preferably football.

I’m allergic to cats, so I’m definitely a dog person. We’ve always had big dogs in my family.

Going back in time and saving society from turning into a sh*thole would be hard work. I’m not sure where I would start, but I’m thinking it begins with making sure Kris Jenner never had any kids. I’m open to hearing your suggestions once my time machine is built…

What made you decide to go to a tech school?
I decided to go to Penn College because of their hands-on teaching methods. I get to use a wide variety of advanced computer programs, design tools, and media outlets that most schools do not have the opportunity to use.

What do you look for in a guy?
The qualities I look for in a guy are pretty simple… They must be polite, fun, hardworking and as ambitious as I am.

Describe yourself in three words.
Describing myself in three words… that’s a difficult one… but I’ll go with independent, unpredictable, ambitious.

Do you have any superstitions?
I really don’t think I have any superstitions… for example, I’ve never been pulled over while driving, and I tell people that all the time, and I never knock on wood.

Saturday’s first AFC Divisional game features two teams that look like they have been going in different directions recently as the 11-5 Kansas City Chiefs hit the road to face the 12-4 New England Patriots. Kansas City has won ten straight games while New England has lost their last two games. This has the potential of turning into a game that is a lot closer than people really think it will be.

The Chiefs shutout the Texans 30-0 during last weekend’s AFC Wild Card round and is the hottest team in all of pro football. Alex Smith has passed for 3,486 yards, 20 touchdowns and seven interceptions this season and has found a great, new target in Jeremy Maclin. Maclin has 87 catches for 1,088 yards and eight touchdowns for the year. On the ground, it is all about Charcandrick West and his 634 rushing yards and four touchdowns. Smith has been a perfect game manager and knows how to use his legs as well as his arm to keep the Kansas City offense clicking.

The Patriots lost 20-10 to the Dolphins in their final regular season game and have been struggling down the stretch to say the least. Tom Brady is nearing 5,000 passing yards for the season with 4,770 yards through the air along with 36 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Rob Gronkowski continues to be the favorite target of Brady’s with 72 catches for 1,176 yards and 11 touchdowns. The run game for New England has become non-existent with injuries to their top two rushers. It is going to be all up to Brady and Gronkowski to lead the offense up and down the field.

The Arizona Cardinals and Green Bay Packers met each other just three weeks ago at University of Phoenix Stadium. Arizona stomped all over Green Bay during a 38-8 win. The two teams will meet again on Saturday night in the NFC Divisional Playoff once again in Glendale. Green Bay stumbled to the finish line in the regular season while Arizona got hammered in their final regular season game as well.

Green Bay went to Washington last week and won 35-18 in the Wild Card Round. Aaron Rodgers has passed for 3,821 yards, 31 touchdowns and eight interceptions for the season while finding James Jones quite a bit. Jones has 50 catches for 890 yards and eight touchdowns. Eddie Lacy has been looking better and better in the ground game with 758 yards on the ground and three touchdowns. The Packers need to find a way to protect Rodgers a lot better than they did in Week 16 or it could turn into a very similar day in the desert for Green Bay.

Arizona lost 36-6 to Seattle to end the regular season on January 3 but wasn’t playing for much having the division locked up. Carson Palmer has passed for 4,671 yards, 35 touchdowns and 11 interceptions for the 2015 regular season. Larry Fitzgerald is showing a ton of veteran leadership with 109 catches for 1,215 yards and nine touchdowns while David Johnson has rushed for 581 yards and eight touchdowns since taking over as the Cardinals’ lead running back. It may be hard for Arizona to pull off another huge defensive effort like they did the last time the two teams played but have a perfect blueprint for victory.

There is one playoff matchup this weekend that has a ton of meaning to it as Sunday’s NFC Divisional Playoff between the 10-6 Seattle Seahawks and the 15-1 Carolina Panthers is a rematch from earlier this season where the Panthers survived to keep their undefeated season alive at the point. Seattle has won the NFC title the last two years and would love to become the first NFC team to go three years in a row.

Seattle went on the road and slipped out of frozen Minnesota with a 10-9 win after a late missed field goal. It won’t be nearly that cold in Charlotte for this game. Russell Wilson is over the 4,000-yard mark passing for the season with 4,024 passing yards, 34 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Doug Baldwin has emerged as Wilson’s favorite target with Jimmy Graham out for the season with 78 catches for 1,069 yards and 14 touchdowns. The run game is all up to Marshawn Lynch’s health. If he decides to play, the Seahawks may be hard to beat which would end Carolina’s dream season.

Carolina rebounded from their only loss of the season with a 38-10 win over Tampa Bay to end the regular season. Cam Newton has thrown for 3,837 yards, 35 touchdowns and ten touchdowns on the season. Greg Olsen is one of the best tight ends in the whole NFL and continues to show it with 77 catches for 1,104 yards and seven touchdowns while Jonathan Stewart will be back from injury and has rushed for 989 yards and six touchdowns. The Panthers don’t want to go 15-1 in the regular season and then lose right away in the playoffs. Homefield advantage and an early start may help Carolina.

So the other night I went to a presentation by Dr. Kenny Jones, who spoke to all of the Panhellenic women at Penn State. It was very inspirational; he is black and is homosexual, and he spoke about his experience in Greek life at Jackson State (an HBCU), and how badly he was hazed for the way he is by his fraternity brothers of Phi Beta Sigma.

The speech was funny, yet devastating, and I left feeling all sorts of emotions after listening to how he was beat, thrown, and pretty much tortured in a dark, dirty, and dingy basement. Last year, I remember asking a good friend of mine in a fraternity if they would ever let a homosexual into their frat, and he said no. I thought maybe after hearing his story he would change his mind; it was that much of a moving speech.

Jones provided everyone with a Google number to text if they had questions during or after the speech in which he would respond to. After his speech, I texted the number to applaud him for his endurance, his strength, and to tell him that it is people like him who we need more of in this world.

Sadly, as it turns out “Dr.” Kenny Jones was lying. About everything.

First of all, he never received his PhD from Morgan State (even though it says that he did on his LinkedIn, his public resume, and his biography on Penn’s website–the place he works). But here’s the best one and it literally cracks me up: he was never affiliated with that fraternity chapter. Onward State wrote an article about him, his background, and story, after which Jones contacted them requesting to remove the article from their website due to “inaccuracies” and issues with his employer at Penn.

When asked to describe the inaccuracies, he asked Onward State to remove any reference to his PhD at Morgan State University and his Phi Beta Sigma fraternity affiliation, and to remove his name with “Dr.” preceding it.

Onward State received correspondence from someone with intimate knowledge of Jones’ academic background confirming that he never received his PhD. They also received an email from the administrator of member records for the Phi Beta Sigma fraternity, claiming that there is no record of Jones ever being a candidate for membership.

I’m literally so disappointed with the morals of this man. Here he is getting paid to tell this story to Greek Life women and men; this story of how we should accept others and to never be judgmental, and how important it is to have the right alignment of values. Meanwhile this guy is really just blowing hot air because he made his entire story questionable.

When the week began, it looked like the 10-6 Pittsburgh Steelers would have a great chance to head to Denver to beat the 12-4 Broncos. However, news on Friday morning disclosed that star Pittsburgh wide receiver Antonio Brown will miss the game because of a concussion suffered in the wild card game. Sunday’s final game now has much different meaning and will need a new hero for the Steelers.

Pittsburgh got a late field goal to beat Cincinnati 18-16 last week but with Brown now out and Ben Roethlisberger dealing with his own injury issues, the Steelers could be in trouble. Roethlisberger has passed for 3,938 yards, 21 touchdowns and 16 interceptions and will be without Brown, who had 136 catches for 1,834 yards and ten touchdowns. The Steelers could also be without DeAngelo Wiliams in the run game with his 907 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns. Pittsburgh may have too many injuries here to make this upset happen.

Denver put Peyton Manning back under center in their season finale during a 27-20 win over the Chargers. Manning has passed for 2,249 yards, nine touchdowns and 17 interceptions for the season but looked like a different quarterback last time he played. Demaryius Thomas has 105 catches for 1,304 yards and six touchdowns for the year in the pass game while Ronnie Hillman has rushed for 863 yards and seven touchdowns. This is a Denver team that has homefield throughout the AFC playoffs and would love to get a win here to move one step closer to Super Bowl 50.

Patricia Wutaan is a 55-year-old scam artist of the most vile sorts. She was recently arrested for writing online handbooks about how to profit from sensationalized stories involving fake 9/11 victims. So… that’s really f*cked up.

The care worker – whatever the f*ck that means – apparently made a profitable living from her side job, in which she would write emotional scripts that centered around losing loved ones during the Twin Tower attacks.

According to Mirror, one script read:

“I am a widow. Lost my husband to 9/11 terror attacks in New York.”

“He made it out of the collapsed building but he later died because of heavy dust and smoke and he was asthmatic.”

Another was more detailed:

“I’ve not been in a relationship since demise of late husband. I am in London to meet family attorney of late husband to negotiate on how to clear the identified assets he left me.”

“He left me a vague will with some conditions to meet before I could access the assets and cash he left me in his will.

“I must be able to prove to the family attorney that I have moved on with my life and show I am engaged with someone else.”

Some scripts were also accompanied by thorough instructions for delivery: “Stay calm and moody until you get his final word,” “let him do most of the talking, be sad and worried about taking care of bills for rest of the month,” “when he asks what he can do to help ask him for $2000 – $3000.”

Charming, but it gets worse.

The woman really went full-out in the operation, sending con-artists fraudulent documents like photocopies of fake passports and drivers’ licenses to use against lonely men. When police searched her home, officers apparently found an “Aladdin’s cave of fraudsters’ scripts and false IDs.”

Luckily she got what she deserved; Wutaan was sentenced to two years in jail after being found guilty on two counts of possession of articles for use in fraud. She was also found guilty on three counts of money laundering, linking to the $100,000 fraud of a Swiss man.

Apparently Jenna is almost finished with her conversion not just to Judaism, but to becoming an Orthodox Jew.

According to her story, Jenna started down the path a few months ago when she met a nice Jewish man who she’s now engaged to. After some time to think about it, she decided she wanted to convert. So she’s been meeting with a rabbi to make that conversion, one that she admits is extremely difficult.

Honestly that’s pretty much the entire story but no one in their right minds ten years ago would have ever thought to hear the words “Orthodox Jew” and “Jenna Jameson” in the same sentence unless they were talking about one of her new scenes.

Obviously she’s not in the business anymore, but she seems to be sober which is a plus for her and everyone else not trying to feel guilty about the dark hole she found herself in because of the industry.

Trey Joseph Frederick, a teen hunter in Beaumont, TX admitted to killing two whooping cranes on January 10th. Under the Migratory Bird Act, killing a whooping crane is punishable by up to 6 months in jail or a fine of $15,000.

On January 11th, the Texas Game Warden’s office got a phone call about two dead whooping cranes that had been found along Blair Road in Jefferson County. Trey admitted to the police that he had killed the cranes while out hunting for geese.

Whooping cranes are listed by the Federal Register as an endangered species. Although this is purely speculation, more than likely the teen who was raised around hunting and guns knew that what he was shooting weren’t geese. I’d take it a step further and say he probably knew what they were. As much as gun safety activists love to harp about gun control, you’ll find that hunters like Trey who grew up around the sport are well-versed about the different animals and species.

That being said, in no way shape or form should Trey be sent to jail for six months for this crime.

In a series of Facebook messages, Trey stated that, “Haven’t slept in 2 days got me so messed up!!” He also stated that “I’m just praying for a miracle honestly” and finally “I really screwed up this time.”

Give him community service (which the judge will probably do), scare the piss out of him, and consider it time served.

It’s been a really sh*tty day for Grant Robinson.

The 28-year-old is getting railed by everyone on the Internet after his x-girlfriend, 26-year-old Lisa Martin, won $47 million dollars in the UK lottery. Naturally he’s totally regretting that time he ghosted her.

According to the Daily Mail,

Grant Robinson, 28, is being teased on social media after it was revealed 26-year-old recruitment manager Lisa Martin is his old flame.

She told this morning how she’d just left a gym in Australia when she had to hurriedly congratulate her parents over the phone for scooping £33million because she was going to be late for work.

But when David and Carol Martin’s massive jackpot was made public it didn’t take long for the man who dated their daughter seven years ago to get a good ribbing.

One posted an old photograph of a shocked-looking Mr Robinson to Facebook, captioning it: “When you realise your ex-girlfriend’s parents just won £33 million on the lottery!”
