Ride Along 2, the sequel to the hilarious comedy Ride Along starring Ice Cube and Kevin Hart, hits theaters today. We got a sneak peek at the great buddy cop flick two weeks ago and then followed it up with an exclusive interview with the legendary Ice Cube.

He was busy representing for Ride Along 2 at the movie’s premiere in Miami while we were stuck here in the freezing cold New York City but we did have a chance to talk about the Oakland Raiders’ possible move to LA, what it’s like to work with Kevin Hart, and his upcoming performance at Coachella 2016.

COED: Let’s start with some big news this week, can we get an official Ice Cube statement on the possible relocation of the Raiders to LA?

Ice Cube: I would love for them to relocate to Los Angeles. If they can’t make it work in Oakland then I want them to come down here to LA.

COED: Do you feel pretty good about the Raiders’ roster right now?

Ice Cube: I’m happy with AC/DC right now. I’m happy with Khalil Mack and I think even our tight end Clive Walford too. So if we can keep duplicating the last draft we’ll start putting together a pretty solid team.

COED: Olivia Munn stars in Ride Along 2 with you and we know that her boyfriend Aaron Rodgers was on set for X-Men. Did he come down to Miami for the filming of Ride Along 2?

Ice Cube: He came through, yeah. We didn’t really talk about football we just kind of went back and forth saying how much of a fan we were of each other. It’s cool to have somebody like that on the set, you know? People get excited and the energy goes up.

COED: You have a ton of stars in Ride Along 2. Did that mean that a lot of celebrities made their way on set?

Ice Cube: You know, mainly it was people in the movie but everytime we were out people would show us and the movie love. It’s all love. It’s great to have a film like that everybody loves.

COED: Let’s talk Kevin Hart. So I know you worked with one of your sons in Straight Outta Compton, but what was it like to work with your other son Kevin Hart?

Ice Cube: It’s always great. He’s a good dude, solid.

COED: Would he make for a good road trip partner do you think? Could you see yourself on a long journey with him or would that not work?

Ice Cube: No, it’s cool. We’ve gone all over the world so I can handle Kevin. He’s a good dude, fun, life of the party kind of dude when you’re around him.

COED: You’re down in Miami right now and Spring Break is coming up. Did you ever go on any Spring Break trips back in the day?

Ice Cube: Not as a Spring Breaker, but we’ve done a lot of cool shows around Spring Break which was always a lot of fun.

COED: So what about warm weather destinations just to chill?

Ice Cube: Oh I like Maui. You know, nothing is better than Maui, Hawii. For partying it’s probably Las Vegas.

COED: You’re playing at Coachella this year, right?

Ice Cube: It’s cool because my son keeps going every year and he keeps saying “You’ve gotta do Coachella, you’ve gotta do Coachella.” And for me to be able to book the gig and go on such a good night with the Guns and Roses reunion, it’s awesome at this point in my career.

COED: What are your plans for the show? Are you going to bring anyone out?

Ice Cube: I’m going to try and get the guys from NWA out there. I’ve got a couple of new songs that I did with The Game and I have a song on the Dre record (“Issue”) so I might try to pull out the tricks out of the hat.

The Olympics will now be rewarding points for “The Dick Move,” courtesy of gymnast Marisa Dick. The 18-year-old debuted her very distinctive balance beam mount at the World Gymnastics Championships in Glasgow, Scotland, last fall. Now the move has her name and has been added to the official Code of Points that are used to rank the athletes for each level of competition in gymnastics.

Marisa — who has duel Trinidad and Canadian citizenship — performs her Dick Move by leaping off a springboard to land on the balance beam in a perfectly-balanced split with legs extended and toes pointed.

Dick is rightfully proud of her move. “It’s super cool to know that my name will kind of live on in the world of gymnastics,” she said. “It was one of my biggest goals going into [the] Worlds, to get this move named after myself.”

We’re waiting to see if Ride Along 2 has the clout to beat Star Wars: The Force Awakens at the box-office, but there’s also plenty to cheer when it comes to films in the future. This week was the first great one of 2016 when it came to sneak peeks at long-anticipated features. Well, one of them only became anticipated this week. We didn’t know the movie even existed until a couple of days ago. There’s one clunker, too, but that’s buried at the end of these exciting new previews…

Blue Mountain State: The Rise Of Thadland

Blue Mountain State isn’t just hitting the big screen this year. It also looks ready to hit the big screen with a decent budget to back up a plot about a massive house party. These are multiple blessings — assuming we’re all living in cities where Blue Mountain State: The Rise of Thadland actually plays in theaters. The official synopsis says that Thad graduates BMS and is drafted into the NFL while quarterback Alex fights to save their house from being shut down by the vengeful university president. Fans know that clichéd story promises a lot of greatness, and this trailer is a lot more than we expected….

Ip Man 3

You’ll want to catch up if you missed the first two Ip Man movies, because the third installment of the martial arts series has even more Donnie Yen and adds Mike Tyson to the mix. Watch them quick, though, because this thing is out on January 22, 2016. Tyson plays a crooked land developer in 1959 Hong Kong, and it’s kind of like watching him play The Kingpin in a Daredevil episode where the big fight is a contractually-obligated draw. There’s other good action, though. Also, you get to see Ip Man (temporarily) turn down Bruce Lee as a potential student…

10 Cloverfield Lane

Yeah, J.J. Abrams and the Bad Robot crew have done it again. They’ve snuck out another Cloverfield movie — and we don’t have many answers about this first trailer, either. Some say it’s an existing script that Bad Robot bought and turned into the first step for a potential Cloverfield franchise. Others say it’s really a continuation of the Cloverfield monster saga. We just know that it was easy to make cheap because the entire thing looks like it was filmed on two sets. That’s how Tales From the Darkside did it back in the ’80s…

Zoolander 2

This one starts out more like a commercial parody for Zoolander’s “No. 2” scent, but then it becomes a more traditional trailer with plenty of Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig. Then it pays off again with another commercial parody at the end that’s better than the first one. Let’s hope the whole thing is in the movie…

Money Monster

We had to put up with this damn thing filming in our neighborhood, and now it turns out to look like the worst kind of “taut and tense” big Hollywood thriller where a bunch of millionaires make a movie about the horrors of milllionaires. George Clooney is the TV show finance guy who gets taken hostage (along with his producer, Julia Roberts) by a desperate investor after the pundit pushes a stock that crashes big. Everything you need to know about this one is summed up in the scene where Clooney punches the guy who will most likely be the evil stock guru who engineered the stock crash. Put it in the trailer to promise the rubes a feel-good ending…

Penelope Cruz is on the cover of Vogue — and we know that we’re supposed to be laughing at Ben Stiller as both her partner on the cover and in the photo shoot (like the pic above), but we’re more interested in still taking Penelope Cruz seriously as a sex symbol. Penelope is really enjoying a revival as a woman of a certain age. Esquire declared her to be the Sexiest Woman Alive in 2014, and that was the same year she turned 40 years old. That was also the same year that we could start taking Ariana Grande out to bars.

The actual interview is pretty great, too. There’s a lot of Ben Stiller there, but Penelope also dishes about the unglamorous way that she signed on to play the glamorous Interpol agent Valentina Valencia for Zoolander 2.

I was in South Africa in a supermarket buying diapers, and my phone rang and it was Ben,. I’m one of those people who’s seen the first Zoolander four or five times. I’ve done comedy in Spain, in my own language, but I’ve always said I want to do more comedies in English. I do all these intense dramas, and all my characters are always suffering. For many reasons I need to once in a while do a crazy comedy. I said to Ben, ‘Count on me.’”

Sean O’Connell is taking on Ilir Latifi in Boston tomorrow night for UFC Fight Night 81. He still isn’t taking the ritualistic face-off very seriously. We’re hoping that somebody prepared Ilir for that earlier today — although somebody thought to bring along candy, too.

And, yeah, this is typical of the guy. Take a look at these other Greatest Face-Offs and be grateful for a break from all that macho posturing. That’s exactly the kind of crap that made us give up our own UFC training. We were set to be champs, too….

Saturday Night Live had Adam Driver hosting last night, which meant a Star Wars: The Force Awakens parody of some type — and, since this is post-1995 SNL, that meant a television parody of some kind. Still, we’re not complaining too much about Kylo Ren going on Undercover Boss to find out what the employees of a Starkiller Base really think of their ruler.

We’d have been a little bummed out to be in the audience and have to just watch the night’s big Force skit. That’s why we never accepting invites to be in the SNL audience, though. Everything that’s fun to watch (outside of the occasional musical guest) is taped beforehand nowadays. Undercover Ren is still pretty fun, though — and it counts as a high concept on SNL nowadays…

Olivia Munn isn’t going to Super Bowl 50, but you can’t blame boyfriend Aaron Rodgers’ amazing Hail Mary pass to Green Bay’s Jeff Janis — which was a big thrill for Packers fans as the touchdown put the game into overtime. The game still ended with a 26-20 win for the Arizona Cardinals, as Larry Fitzgerald turned out to be the Cardinals’ biggest asset. The person who threw him the ball doesn’t have a movie-star girlfriend, though.

This was still a great game for all the teams involved. It was certainly the best game that we’ll ever see that also included quibbling over a coin toss. It actually had to be done over once the coin wasn’t sufficiently flipped. The thing just floated in the air to land exactly like how it was being held at the start. The game got better, though — and we can stare at this thing of beauty all day (we’re not talking about Olivia Munn right now)…

After tonight’s debate – which will focus on a variety of topics previously discussed during rallies – they are bound to change. Clinton and Sanders are in a tight race, and rumors that O’Malley is trying to stick it out for a VP spot have him keeping his head in the game.

But while this should be one of the most important Democratic Debates in this cycle, several news sources worry that it will be overlooked because of scheduling. According to the Boston Globe,

The 2016 Democratic presidential contest has been never been more competitive. This week, new polls showed former US secretary of state Hillary Clinton and US Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont statistically tied in Iowa. The contest has become increasingly intense, with both Clinton and Sanders releasing new television ads this week that needle each other for the first time.

This alone would mean that the next Democratic debate could be the most important yet in the contest. What’s more, this is the last debate before the Iowa caucuses and the New Hampshire Primary.

But not only will this debate air at 9 p.m. on Sunday, in the middle of a three-day weekend, but it will also run during National Football League playoff games and — dare we say — a new episode of PBS’s popular series, “Downton Abbey.”

Umm… maybe you can skip Downton Abbey… just for one night? Find out everything you need to know about tonight’s debate below.

David Bowie is still dead, damn it, but here’s a pleasant surprise — NBC had released footage of Bowie performing “The Man Who Sold The World” on December 15, 1979. That was a pleasant surprise in itself for any fans who were alive back then. No one was expecting Bowie to dig up an old tune for the appearance. Also, hipsters of the time were excited to see new-wave operatic crooner Klaus Nomi showing up in the background. (That’s him in the black; he’d later be one of the first big arts figures to die of AIDS, passing on August 6, 1983.)

The guy in the red is Joey Arias, who’s remained an important figure in what’s left of the NYC underground. Some people might also notice Blondie keyboardist Jimmy Destri as part of the band. One of our favorite stories from the past week was Jimmy’s sister Donna talking about how her band had a gig that night, and everyone got together backstage to watch Bowie’s performance on a little black-and-white television backstage.

Donna later recorded a new-wavish disco version of “Rebel Rebel” in 1983. It’s kind of dopey, but fun — here’s a link to the video. And here’s David below in footage that doesn’t look really good, but still looks better than whatever version your pals posted on Facebook…

It’s always exciting to see the ladies of Alpha Phi emerge from a new campus with more great video — and our cold winter hearts are definitely warmed by Indiana University’s Alpha Phi’s busting out with this heartfelt recruitment pitch. We’re ready to move into the Alpha Phi house right now.

Also, this is probably the most amazing mix of genuine sentimentality and over-the-top antics that we’ve ever seen in a recruitment video. We wish that more fraternities could find ways to make their cases for being a really important part of the college experience.

The SUNY Geneseo community is still in shock and all three involved in the tragedy were well-known for their contributions to the city. Kelsey, a 5′ 7″ senior, started playing for the Geneseo Knights her sophomore year after winning an intramural championship and deciding she missed the sport too much. Kelsey played her last game on Saturday night, scoring five points for the Knights and helping them win out over Buffalo State.

Her friends and family remember her fondly. Our hearts go out to everyone involved.

The SUNY Geneseo community is still in shock and all three involved in the tragedy were well-known for their contributions to the city. Matthew was a senior defenseman for the SUNY Geneseo Knights Men’s Hockey team who had just joined the Geneseo Volunteer Fire Department. He had spent last summer working for the BC Wildfire Branch volunteer fire department. According to one source, he was also a father.

Very sad story all around. Stay tuned for more details on the tragedy, but our hearts go out to all of those involved.

Jarmal Reid, an Oregon State University basketball player, may be the first person to ever receive a Flagrant 2 foul on a referee after he was ejected from the game for deliberately tripping the ref. Watch the insane series of events below.

Jarmal, already the proud owner of four fouls, makes a great play on defense to block the shot of the Utah big. But after getting pushed to the ground with no foul call, he gets frustrated and trips referee Nunez. Jarmal ejected and eventually cost his team the game.

Following the Flagrant 2, Utah was awarded a free throw and the ball. They sank the free throw, gained their first lead of the night, and then outscored OSU 6-1 to seal the game.

You better believe that Pac-12 Commissioner Larry Scott is going to review the play and take further action against Jarmal.

Three bodies were found in a student’s house in a suspected double murder-suicide. Police discovered the victims–a female student and two men–after a 911 call from the father of one of the victims who told cops that his son had called him to confess that he had killed his girlfriend and was going kill himself. We now know that phone call was from Colin Kingston to his father. His father called police immediately afterwards.

Colin’s body was found in a house near campus, along with his ex-girlfriend Kelsey Annese and SUNY Geneseo student Matthew Hutchinson. All three died from stab wounds. A knife was recovered at the scene, said a law enforcement source with knowledge of the investigation.

Colin Kingston, a was 24 year old Geneseo native, with 8 siblings and multiple cousins–who also grew up on the family farm and had attended SUNY Geneseo. Colin, a 2009 graduate of Geneseo High School and a 2013 graduate of SUNY Geneseo, was working at the family farm at the time of his death, according to his LinkedIn page.

Update 2:54 PM EST: It is now believed that Colin had recently broken up with his girlfriend Kelsey Annese, another one of the victims found dead. He visited Kelsey on Sunday morning and brought a knife with him. After stabbing Kelsey, he reportedly called his father and told him what he had done, adding that he was going to kill himself as well.

Dan Kingston, the father of Colin Kingston, one of three people found dead at 18 Wadsworth Street in Geneseo Sunday morning, initially alerted authorities, calling 911  Sunday morning, confirmed Geneseo Police Chief Eric Osganian Monday morning.

“I can confirm that Dan Kingston called 911,” said Osganian in an email.

In a recording of police scanner dispatches, a Livingston County Emergency 911 dispatcher can be heard relaying information from the caller, who she identified as Dan Kingston, the father of Colin, who was found dead along with Kelsey Annese, 21, and Matt Hutchinson, 24.
