There are potential playoff previews throughout the Week 16 NFL schedule. One matchup in the NFC could end up being one that occurs in the Divisional Round as the 12-2 Arizona Cardinals host the 10-4 Green Bay Packers at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale on Sunday. Arizona would clinch a first-round bye with a win in this one while Green Bay can win their final two games to gain the bye over the Cardinals because of this possible head-to-head win.

Green Bay has won three straight games since losing on Thanksgiving Day and beat Oakland 30-20 last week. Aaron Rodgers has thrown for 3,379 yards, 29 touchdowns and six interceptions for the season and without an injured Jordy Nelson this season, Randall Cobb has become Rodgers’ favorite target. Cobb has 70 catches for 777 yards and six touchdowns. Eddie Lacy appears to have the starting running back job back again and has 664 rushing yards and three touchdowns for the year. Green Bay would love to win this one and then again next week against Minnesota to make sure they are at home for their first playoff game.

Arizona has been cruising and won their eighth straight game with a 40-17 win over Philadelphia last week. Carson Palmer has 4,277 passing yards, 32 touchdowns and nine interceptions this year and will look to get Larry Fitzgerald his 100^th catch of the season this week. Fitzgerald has 99 catches for 1,131 yards and seven touchdowns. David Johnson has taken the lead running back role by storm with a huge game last week and now has 517 yards on the ground and seven touchdowns for the season. The Cardinals have to face the Seahawks next week but would love to avoid having that game be for their bye week.

This week’s battle between the 6-8 New York Giants and 9-5 Minnesota Vikings at TCF Bank Stadium on Sunday night has a number of ramifications for the playoff chase. The Giants need to win out and get a bunch of help to win the NFC East and make the playoffs. The Vikings need just one win to make the playoffs but would love the chance to play the Packers next week with the NFC North title on the line. The two teams will know before they hit the field what happened with the other teams they are worried about.

The Giants rallied from 35-7 down to tie the Panthers at 35 but lost 38-35 last week and will be without Odell Beckham Jr. for this game after being suspended for one game. Beckham has 91 catches for 1,396 yards and 13 touchdowns this season and his loss is a massive blow for New York’s chances. Eli Manning has 3,900 passing yards, 32 touchdowns and 11 interceptions while Rashad Jennings leads the run game with 619 yards on the ground and two touchdowns. Manning is going to need all the help he can get from Rueben Randle and Shane Vereen to win this one. The Giants average 372.1 yards per game but are giving up 431.1 yards on defense.

The Vikings broke a two-game losing streak with a 38-17 win over Chicago. Teddy Bridgewater has been solid in his second season with 2,964 passing yards, 13 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Stefon Diggs has been a big play target in the pass game for Bridgewater with 47 catches for 693 yards and four touchdowns. Adrian Peterson has come back from his suspension last season and been his normal self in 2015 with 1,314 rushing yards and nine touchdowns. Minnesota doesn’t score much, averaging just 21.1 points and 344.4 yards a game but only give up 19.4 points and 359.3 yards a contest. This is a huge game under the lights moving forward for the Vikings.

The final Monday Night Football game of the 2015 season features a matchup that is likely going to decide who gets a first-round bye in the AFC as the 11-3 Cincinnati Bengals hit the road to face the 10-4 Denver Broncos at Sports Authority Field at Mile High. A Cincinnati win would clinch that berth while a Denver win would give the teams the same record and also the tiebreaker so this is a very important game for both teams.

Cincinnati won on the road and won 24-14 in San Francisco last week. With Andy Dalton with a broken thumb, this is A.J. McCarron’s team right now. McCarron is 40-for-57 on the year for 494 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions. A.J. Green has been his normal dominating self this year with 77 catches for 1,206 yards and eight touchdowns and McCarron has clearly been looking for him. On the ground, Giovani Bernard leads the team with 680 rushing yards and two touchdowns but Jeremy Hill has been the main running back all year long. The Bengals are averaging 27 points and 378.3 yards per game and could really use the bye week to give Dalton another week to recover from his injury.

Denver has run into some issues recently with two straight losses including a 34-27 defeat at Pittsburgh last week. Peyton Manning is still out so Brock Osweiler will need to find a way to get the Broncos a much-needed win in this game. Osweiler has thrown for 1,436 yards, eight touchdowns and four interceptions this season but the Denver offense hasn’t scored in the second half in any of their last three games. Demaryius Thomas is approaching 100 catches for the season and has 93 for 1,128 yards and five touchdowns. Ronnie Hillman has been solid at running back with 711 rushing yards and six touchdowns. Another Denver loss could allow Kansas City to tie the Broncos for first place in the AFC West and put the Broncos into a place where they could miss the playoffs completely.

In a week short of fresh games, there are a couple of older titles popping up for the first time on other platforms. The long-forgotten PSP game Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories pops up on iOS and Minecraft finally makes its way onto a Nintendo system, a natural fit for the Wii U. There’s also a new Tony Hawk game out to test your skating skills.

Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories

(iOS, $7, Mature)

Orginally released on PSP a decade ago, Liberty City Stories offers a return to Liberty City circa Grand Theft Auto III. You play as an exiled mobster who works his way back into the game by doing the dirty work of superiors. It’s the usual GTA fare, involving absurd assassinations, fetch quests that turn into car chases that can quickly turn south and draw attention from SWAT teams and the National Guard. Creating, then avoiding mayhem is the name of the game, and it’s still just as much fun as ever to create spontaneous action-movie moments inside the deadly urban sandbox.

At first I was wary of playing controller-based console shooters on iPhone and iPad, but Rockstar has proven to be an ace developer at making the transition. Along with the typical modifications to controls that make GTA games more palatable to touchscreens, the save system and inventory selection gets a wholesale overhaul to bring it up to speed with the other excellent ports from the series. Assuming this sells as well as expected, it will only be a matter of time until the even better PSP game, Vice City Stories, follows suit.

Minecraft Wii U Edition

(Wii U, $30, Everyone 10+)

It’s taken years, but Nintendo finally has managed to land Mojang’s runaway hit. The debut on the Wii U is all the more surprising because it comes long after Microsoft has taken over the company, and this release proves that the company is making good on its pledge to make the franchise accessible on as many platforms as possible. It would have sweetened the deal for the company to have tossed in some Nintendo-specific Minecraft skins and texture packs, but what you get here is pretty much the same version of the game available on other systems.

While the price is way higher than the typical $20 the game sells for on consoles, it does come with enough DLC to more than make up for the price hike, provided you’d actually buy the stuff. Two Battle & Beasts skin packs, the City, Fantasy and Natural texture packs and Festive mash-up packs are all included, making the Wii U version of Minecraft beefier than the versions on PS4, Xbox One or the older consoles. The Wii U’s stylus makes precision tweaks easier and more natural, and its dual-screen format makes it ideal for a household with a Minecraft-obsessed kid. You can just hand him the GamePad, freeing up the TV for other uses.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5

(Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, $60, Teen)

Tony Hawk’s time as a relevant gaming franchise may finally winding down. The franchise biffs on its reboot, which is plagued with glitches, slowdown and shoddy mission and level design. Skaters tend to move more like arthritic robots than authentic humans, or even the superpowered, invulnerable crash test dummies of past games, which went over the top in exaggerating what was possible when you put wheels to concrete.

The goal here seems to be to pare things down and get back to basics, in the manner of the now-forgotten Skate series that originally knocked the Tony Hawk series off its perch, back when there were annual releases. The trick system and controls aren’t tight enough to keep the limited movesets interesting enough to rack up giant combos, and the joyless progression system is more of a grind than anything you’ll do while skidding on rails. While not a total mess, the slow, perfunctory entry is meant only for the most intense and forgiving Tony Hawk fans. And even they are best off waiting for the price to drop.

Christmas comes but once a year, which means it’s time to deck the halls, trim the tree, and make a toast to your family who put up with you all year. Yet for these ladies, throwing on an ugly Christmas sweater just isn’t enough. (Plus, they wouldn’t look ugly tbh).

Has there ever been a more perfect casting choice than Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool? This R-rated superhero flick is going to be one of the best movies of 2016, I’m calling it. I mean, how could it not be? A sarcastic, foul mouthed, bada** superhero who talks directly to the audience is guaranteed gold.

Come to think of it, Deadpool might actually end up being groundbreaking. As the first comic book movie made specifically for adults, this movie could end up being the graphic novel of films. If this movie does well, look out for a whole bunch of more cursing superheroes. I can’t wait.

Deadpool is an upcoming American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. It is intended to be the eighth installment in the X-Men film series. 2015, and the last few months specifically, have been trying times for planet Earth. Between Paris and San Bernadino and all the other tragedies the world has faced this year, it can be tough to find some genuine positivity.

Well, on this Christmas Day, I’ve got a hot load of positivity coming right at your face (LOL).

Youtuber  Nubaid Haroon, also known as Rambo Vlogs on social media, filmed himself giving blankets to people sleeping rough on the streets this winter.

At the beginning of his YouTube clip he admits that as a Muslim, he doesn’t  celebrate Christmas, but wanted to enter into the giving spirit. He is then seen presenting festively wrapped blankets to less fortunate people, including Catherine, who has been homeless for 21 years. Other grateful recipients include ex-solider David, 28, who has been on the streets for three years and Teddy, 47, who has spent 12 years sleeping on the streets.

This hit me directly in both my left and right feels. I love videos like these, especially on Christmas day.

The backstory is that this girl is on break from her job when she sees what she thinks is a turtle on the ground. So quick thinking, she saves it. And like all animal lovers, she can’t do it without telling anyone. Except there’s a problem. That’s a tortoise, not a turtle. And tortoises can’t swim.

He has taken more shots than James Worthy and Shaquille O’Neal — combined. He is in the team’s top five in career rebounds, assists, steals, blocks, free throws, 3-pointers, fouls and turnovers. The dude is pretty good.

His scoring average is down about 10 points from what he’s used to, yet his chuckin’ up shots at a higher rate than any other player in the league. Classic Kobe.

On Christmas day, in unison of the onslaught of NBA games on TV, Nike released a short film where a bunch of youngins run around trying to figure out who their favorite NBA player is. There’s not much to say here, other than how stupid loaded with talent the NBA is, and how lucky we are to witness it.

This all took place on Christmas Eve, no less. AND it’s in Australia, and as I’ve said before, Australia is bat sh*t crazy.

Via Mirror,  chairs were seen flying as the violence began at around 11pm in at Brighton-Le-Sands, south Sydney, Australia, on Christmas Eve. It is thought the fight started after a verbal altercation. Which begs the question, what fight hasn’t started from a verbal altercation. I mean, I literally have no idea what goes on down under, but where I come from, if you’re going to hit someone, you’re probably going to argue with them first.

Fleur McGregor, who witnessed the battle, told Seven news: “There was this poor little girl in the window of the ice-cream shop, she was terrified from what was happening.”
