Police have released 13 videos that span over two hours of footage from 13 police body cameras of what transpired during a traffic stop at Glassboro, New Jersey on October 1, 2018.

The video begins with officers responding to a panic report that involves a shoplifting case inside Collegetown Shopping Center. A man who appears to be the one who made the call, tells police officers that a man with a black gun was seen getting in a black Dodge Charger and escaped.

“He came out of a store with a gun in his hand and walked into the car with a gun,” the witness says, and also acclaiming police that he was “one-thousand percent” certain the individual was holding a “black gun.” The witness said that the getaway car was a black Dodge Charger.

Officers then rushed to pursue the car while calling for backup in a chase that ended up in a parking lot in Rowan University.  According to the police, the two suspects inside the Charger were two students from the University.

“Put your hands out the window — do it now!” one officer yells.

“Driver, roll down all the windows with your left hand — do it now!” he yells again. “All passengers put your hands up — do it now!”

The driver exited the car with full compliance with the officer’s demand as they detain him. The video then went on to document the passenger getting off and also being detained. Both were then placed in the back of patrol vehicles.

In an interview with ABC, the two students Altaif Hassan and Giavanna Roberson said that they feared for their lives.

“He ain’t making it to class ’cause we thought he had a gun,” the driver says, appearing to mock police. “He didn’t have a gun. We got a black student on campus. We hear this story every day on the news. I’m tired of this s–t, bro.”

When Hassan’s brother confronted the police about their approach to the whole situation, the officers denied Hassan’s brother’s allegations and said that “it’s not ridiculous because we have a family to go home to.”

Hassan stated that he had just picked up his eyeglasses at the store and when they got back to campus, police arrested him.

The students were then released when the police couldn’t find anything.

Glassboro Police Chief Franklin Brown, Jr. said in a statement, “The videos are being offered in the spirit of complete transparency and to demonstrate the Police Department’s compliance with appropriate protocols and training for dealing with this type of incident.” He also said that his officers “utilized their training and followed established protocols to ensure the safety of everyone involved in this incident.”

Chris Heaton, the former diving coach at Harvard University, was placed on leave on October 2 by the school after allegations of sexual misconduct against him were detailed in a federal lawsuit filed by 50 women.

According to CNN, Heaton was hired in August but is placed on leave, pending a review by Harvard, a university spokesperson said.

What Happened?

A class-action lawsuit against USA Diving Chris Heaton, 31, who is accused of sexual misconduct. On Tuesday, October 9, he has officially resigned from Harvard just over a month after he was hired in August.

The lawsuit, filed September 30, 2018, claims the athletes at Ripfest Diving, an Indiana camp for competitive divers, complained in 2015 that Heaton was soliciting them for the photos and sending them pictures of his penis. The women say program officials dismissed the complaints.

According to The Crimson, Heaton is not named as the defendant and is only named in the suit.

Athlete Director Robert L. Scalise announced Heaton’s decision to resign in an email sent to Harvard “coaches and staff” Tuesday afternoon.

“Today I shared the news that Mr. Heaton has communicated to Harvard that he has decided to step down from his role,” Scalise wrote in the email. “On his place, Tracey Bird will step in as our interim diving coach, effective immediately.”

“Harvard University was unaware of any allegations of sexual misconduct when Mr. Heaton was hired as the Head Coach for Diving in August 2018,” Harvard spokeswoman Rachael Dane said in a statement, according to NBC News.

“Upon learning of these allegations from media reports, Harvard immediately placed Mr. Heaton on leave, pending a review of these allegations by Harvard University.”

Heaton is a married father of three. He couldn’t be reached immediately for comments.

The Defendants

According to the Daily Mail, the defendants include USA Diving, a national governing body of the U.S. Olympic Committee (USOC) and the state-level administrative body, the Indiana Diving Association.

John Wingfield, the owner of Ripfest, and former coach Johel Ramirez Suarez are also defendants.

Suarez was arrested in 2017 after two women and a minor alleged he rubbed their vaginal areas on multiple occasions when he was supposed to be helping them stretch after workouts, according to court records. The records also showed Suarez pleaded guilty to three counts of battery in September 2018 and was sentenced to about a year and a half in jail.

In an interview with police, Ramirez Suarez admitted to touching the vaginal area of one of the women on three occasions, according to the Indianapolis Star.

The suit claims that Wingfield ignored young athlete’s complaints about the behavior from Suarez and Heaton. The young women then turned to Chris Zukas, another coach at the academy, for help.

“Zukas was instrumental in getting Heaton to leave Ripfest,” the lawsuit states.

The lawsuit does not elaborate on how Zukas was able to get Heaton to leave Ripfest.

A mother claimed that she was shamed for breastfeeding in public by one of the Disney World photographers, who refused to take her picture while she nursed her daughter.

According to the mother, the photographer plainly said, “You have to cover up or take the baby off for the picture” and refused to take the picture.

What Happened?

Natalee Jorge-Martin of Miami, a 28-year-old business owner and blogger, was at the Orlando Disney theme park with her one-year-old daughter Delilah and husband Rogelio in 2017, according to the Daily Mail.

The family asked to have their picture taken by a professional photographer but were told they weren’t allowed to breastfeed on camera. The photographer told her that she needs to either cover up or take the baby off for the picture.

“I was so confused, I honestly couldn’t believe what was happening and I was completely frozen. I couldn’t even react,” Jorge-Martin said. “Most of Disney World is completely breastfeeding friendly. You can nurse anywhere in the park and not be asked to cover up or leave–not by cast members at least.”

Both Jorge-Martin and her husband have always loved Disney and had been regular visitors to the theme park. However, they both now feel let down and targeted after the incident.

“If you are offended by breastfeeding, you’re probably staring too hard. It’s literally just a mother feeding a child, there’s nothing to be up in arms about.”

The Mother Has Something To Say

Jorge-Martin, a wife and a mother-of-one, wants to get rid of the stigma of breastfeeding in public and desexualize women’s breasts.

“I’ve always seen women who breastfeed in public as strong, powerful and wonderful mothers. It’s perfectly normal to be nervous to nurse in public because I was at first, too. The problem is that women have been sexualized for years and our society oppressed us and wants our breasts on display to fulfill sexual fantasies, not the way that they were intended, which is to feed babies,” the Daily Mail cited Jorge-Martin.

“Because of this, you might feel like you’re doing something wrong when really all you’re doing is what your body is meant to do. Feeding your child is a basic human need that is essential to their survival.”

“Although you may feel nervous, you should do it anyway, even if you’re covered up. The more people see a woman proudly nursing in public, the quicker it will be normalized.”

As a blogger, Jorge-Martin shared her own experiences and thoughts on her personal blog Nat The Natural Mom, where she tries to create a community for mothers to embrace nursing and share their personal experiences.

“Women are strong, and we are powerful. We bring life into this world and many of us sustain that life for months after birth just our breasts,” said Jorge-Martin. “We need to start reclaiming our power and our bodies because we are made of magic.”

Disney World hasn’t yet commented on this incident.

UFC lightweights Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov have been suspended for their roles in the brawl that took place following their UFC 229 main event at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday, Oct. 6. Nurmagomedov jumped out of the cage and engaged with McGregor teammate Dillon Danis in the crowd, while McGregor threw hands with two Khabib teammates inside of the cage.

Now, while the two fighters wait to learn the full extent of their punishment for the melee, Nevada State Athletic Commission executive Bob Bennett confirmed that both fighters received a letter announcing their suspensions.

According to FOX 5 KVVU-TV in Las Vegas, the two fighters are suspended for at least 10 days.

The suspensions go into effect on Friday, Oct. 15. The Nevada State Athletic Commission meets on one day before those suspensions end on Wednesday, Oct. 24. During that meeting, the NSAC can determine whether to extend the suspensions.

With his win, Khabib advanced to 27-0 in his professional career. His 27 consecutive wins gives him the longest winning streak in all of mixed martial arts. Khabib first won the vacant lightweight championship on April 7, 2018 at UFC 223 when he scored a dominant decision win over Al Iaquinta in Brooklyn, New York. He became the first Russian to win a UFC title. The submission victory over McGregor was his first title defense.

McGregor, meanwhile, falls to 21-4 in his professional career and has suffered his second submission loss in four outings. All four of McGregor’s losses have come by way of submission, with three of the four via rear-naked choke. In his two most recent wins, McGregor earned a majority decision win over Nate Diaz and a TKO victory over Eddie Alvarez to claim the UFC lightweight championship which he was ultimately stripped of when he took a hiatus from MMA to enter the boxing ring against Floyd Mayweather.

The University of Iowa has suspended nine fraternities for violating a moratorium on alcohol at fraternity and sorority parties.

According to university officials, Pi Kappa Alpha, Beta Theta Pi, Pi Kappi Phi, Acacia, Sigma Pi, Phi Delta Theta, Sigma Phi Epsilon, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, and Delta Chi were suspended on Wednesday, October 11, due to violations of the university’s code of conducts.

The organizations are accused of violating a drinking moratorium that was put into place back in 2017 after University of Iowa student tragically passed away at a fraternity event.

Due to the suspensions, the Greek life organizations cannot participate in some organization-sponsored meetings, programs, social events, intramural sports or homecoming activities.

At a news conference on Wednesday, October 10, University of Iowa vice president Melissa Shivers said that “the blatant and systemic failure to curb holding dangerous open events with alcohol, including tailgates, will stop” as a result of the suspensions.

The university last year placed a moratorium on Greek parties with alcohol and out-of-town formals after freshman Kamil Jackowski, 19, died while attending a Sigma Chi event at Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri in April 2017. The Camden County Sheriff’s Office told The Gazette Jackowski died from alcohol and drugs.

The university last fall rolled out a “formal and date party pilot” program for its 36 fraternities and sororities, allowing the Greek houses to hold one event with alcohol under strict guidelines and monitoring.

Groups interested in participating in the program must submit applications, including guest lists; mandate wristbands for of-age attendees limiting them to five drinks per event and no more than two drinks an hour; and allow impromptu security checks — in addition to hired event monitors.

Only beer, wine, and hard cider is allowed at the events, which must also have non-alcoholic options. Only a handful of groups participated in that pilot program last fall and in the spring.

The suspension of nine fraternities at the University of Iowa is the latest major fraternity or sorority lawsuit, investigation, suspension or closure in the last year, as schools such as Indiana University, the University of Michigan, Ohio State University, Texas State, Florida State, Ball State, Louisiana State and Penn State have all suspended fraternities in the wake of hazing and alcohol deaths.

These reports come amidst similar allegations that have been made against fraternities nationwide, including Sigma Alpha Epsilon at East Carolina University, who was shut down for hazing and the Lambda Chi Alpha chapter at the University of Arkansas which has been accused of taking sexually explicit photographs of women without their permission.

In response to incidents like these, fraternities such Phi Kappa Psi have made numerous changes to their code of conduct in an effort to address the issues that have arisen. In addition, schools such as Texas State, West Virginia University, and Penn State University have introduced new Greek Life rules to try and prevent these problems.

There’s no debating whether or not The Office is one of the top 10 sitcoms of all-time, as it undoubtedly deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as classic comedies such as Seinfeld, Friends, and Cheers. However, despite its clear comedic quality, would The Office be able to survive in today’s cultural climate? Even Steve Carell — Michael Scott himself — has some doubts.

While Carell has gone on to become one of the most successful dramatic actors in the country, he is still synonymous with the character of Michael Scott as The Office is as popular as ever, largely due to its continued presence on Netflix.

And in the age of television revivals and reboots — Will & Grace, Roseanne, Fuller House, Twin Peaks, The X-Files, and Macgyver, have all come back on the air in the last few years — it was only a matter of time before fans started calling for a return of The Office.

However, if you ask Carell, The Office is not as likely of a candidate for a revival as the rest of those aforementioned shows, and for good reason:

But the rules of comedy have changed quite a bit in the last half-decade, even in the last year. Jokes and characters that once seemed harmless might now generate social-media outrage, if not boycotts and involuntary sabbaticals. Carell’s thoughts returned to Michael Scott.

“Because The Office is on Netflix and replaying, a lot more people have seen it recently,” he said. “And I think because of that there’s been a resurgence in interest in the show, and talk about bringing it back. But apart from the fact that I just don’t think that’s a good idea, it might be impossible to do that show today and have people accept it the way it was accepted ten years ago. The climate’s different. I mean, the whole idea of that character, Michael Scott, so much of it was predicated on inappropriate behavior. I mean, he’s certainly not a model boss. A lot of what is depicted on that show is completely wrong-minded. That’s the point, you know? But I just don’t know how that would fly now. There’s a very high awareness of offensive things today—which is good, for sure. But at the same time, when you take a character like that too literally, it doesn’t really work.”

Yet, despite Carell’s reservations, we all know it’s only a matter of time before NBC greenlights a reboot/revival of The Office — with or without Michael Scott.

Usher dropped a surprising announcement on Thursday, Oct. 11 when he sent out a series of videos on social media to promote his new project, “A.” The eight-track album, which is “courtesy of” Zaytoven according to the promos, is set to drop at midnight ET on Friday, Oct. 12. Usher and Zaytoven have worked together in the past when they hit the Billboard chart with the 2009 single “Papers.” Zaytoven is credited on each of the album’s eight tracks.

It marks Usher’s first project release since Hard II Love back in 2016. The project title, A, is a nod to Usher’s hometown of Atlanta.

The UFC 229 pay-per-view buy numbers and estimates are coming in for the UFC lightweight championship bout between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Oct. 6. UFC president Dana White expressed his belief that the pay-per-view could be trending to 3 million buys leading up to the fight, but it ultimately fell short of that number.

Despite falling short of the 3 million buy prediction, UFC 229 is smashing previous UFC records according to the early estimates.

According to Dave Meltzer of MMAFighting.com, Khabib vs. McGregor is currently being estimated at just under 2.4 million buys. Meltzer says “the figures break down at around 1.9 million on traditional pay-per-view and 470,000 to 480,000 via streaming pay-per-view.”

The 2.4 million buys would smash the previous UFC record of 1.5 million buys which was set at UFC 202 for the rematch between McGregor and Nate Diaz.

To put the success of 229 into perspective, UFC 228 — which was headlined by a welterweight title fight between Tyron Woodley and Darren Till — did an estimated 130,000 buys.

Nurmagomedov capped off UFC 229 with a fourth-round submission win over McGregor to retain his title, before jumping into the crowd to attack McGregor teammate Dillon Danis which sparked a post-fight melee in and out of the cage.

With his win, Khabib advanced to 27-0 in his professional career. His 27 consecutive wins gives him the longest winning streak in all of mixed martial arts. Khabib first won the vacant lightweight championship on April 7, 2018 at UFC 223 when he scored a dominant decision win over Al Iaquinta in Brooklyn, New York. He became the first Russian to win a UFC title. The submission victory over McGregor was his first title defense.

McGregor, meanwhile, falls to 21-4 in his professional career and has suffered his second submission loss in four outings. All four of McGregor’s losses have come by way of submission, with three of the four via rear-naked choke. In his two most recent wins, McGregor earned a majority decision win over Nate Diaz and a TKO victory over Eddie Alvarez to claim the UFC lightweight championship which he was ultimately stripped of when he took a hiatus from MMA to enter the boxing ring against Floyd Mayweather.

Deanna Marino has been identified as the former Greenwood teacher who was arrested for failing to comply with state law. In 2006 Marino was sentenced to 12 years in prison for sexually assaulting a 14-year-old student.

Police say that Marino has been charged with failure to comply with the reporting requirements of the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act. At this time, no bond has been set for Marino.

According to reports, in 2006, Marino was charged with two counts of deviant sexual intercourse against a different minor that allegedly occurred in 2000-2001. She was arrested for first-degree sexual assault and was released on bond, pleading not guilty five days later

In 2012 Marino admitted to having sex with the teen in 2005 to the Arkansas Supreme Court, who then declined to review her case after she requested an appeal.

Marino is just the latest teacher to be charged for inappropriate conduct. Over the course of just a few months, educators across the country were arrested for entering into an inappropriate relationship with their students, Tennessee teacher Janet Smothers, LaToya Parker, Florida teacher Caroline Lawson, 26-year-old Allyson Moran and Katherine Ross Ridenhour were all arrested on similar charges. A woman named Kayla Sprinkles was arrested in North Carolina for similar sexual crimes.

The list goes on to include 22-year-old Oklahoma science teacher Hunter Day, 28-year-old teacher Megan Kotarski, 23-year-old history teacher Michelle Schiffer, 29-year-old Alyssia Marie Reddy, special education teacher Jordan Ondish and 28-year-old Samantha Fitzpatrick have all been allegedly carrying on inappropriate relationships with their students.

34-year-old Miranda Nicole Pauley was charged with similar crimes, Nancy Leigh Ann Brann, a former Christian school teacher, was arrested for having sex with a student, Coine Audiat pleaded no contest to having sex with a minor in 2016 and 23-year-old Darci Lake was arrested for an inappropriate relationship. 27-year-old Brittany Zamora from Arizona was arrested on similar charges. Keri Hoffman, 35, was also arrested for an alleged relationship with a student. Similarly, 29-year-old Tiffany Ranweiler-Oblander and 33-year-old Maren Oates were arrested on similar charges.

More recently, 29-year-old Haylie Smart, 25-year-old Alaina Ferguson, and 32-year-old Laura Bucy were charged with similar crimes.

It’s been a problem for many years, one that is hard to avoid, but not impossible. It’s a serious danger, date rape drugs are a dangerous thing that can hurt, ruin, and sometimes kill innocent women. And forgetting about the effects, it is difficult to know when you are becoming a victim. The idea can be drilled into your head, you can study it, you can watch a thousand documentaries on it, but you will never be prepared. Date rape drugs are consumed when least expected. It may not even be from a stranger, it could be by a close friend. It’s important to be safe but also has fun. You can’t be on high alert all the time. That’s where we are here to help. Here are some tips to keep a look out for that will become second nature to you.

Don’t Accept Any Drinks From Any Strangers

This is an obvious tip. Never on any circumstances, do you ever take a drink from a stranger. If he or she is cute, and they offer you a drink do not let them leave you. Go with them to the bar or watch the server give you the drink. Same with open containers, don’t accept an open beer from a stranger. At any party, concert, bar, anywhere do not take the drink. Even if it’s water and they are trying to sober you up, go get your own water instead of taking it. Just be aware when someone hands you a drink.

Do Stay At The Bar

This will help you see your drink being made and then having your drink handed to you by a bartender or wait staff. Someone could come up to you and offer to buy you a drink, it’s okay to accept it’s not illegal. Just don’t let them take the drink and then hand it to you. Most bartenders will not give the drink to the person who ordered, they will hand it to the person who is drinking it. It’s about keeping an eye out for anything suspicious.

Don’t Leave Your Drink Unattended

Big rule! This is the backup plan for most date rape drugs to be given. If you are doing well on keeping an eye on your drink, and maybe they ask you do dance, or you go to the bathroom, they will take their opportunity to put the drug in your drink. If you do have to go to the bathroom and you do leave your drink unattended, don’t drink it. Go get a new one or just leave your drink alone. Even a quick turn of your head can give them the opportunity.

Do Speak Up

This is not speaking up to the actual person who could be attempting to drug you. Speak up to the wait staff or the bartender. They will either call you a cab, get you away from the situation, or find a safe way to remove that person. They are on your side to, ultimately, keep you safe. Don’t be scared, if you did consume the drug-infused drink and don’t feel good go to the closest waiter or bartender. They are there to help.

Don’t Let Someone Else Keep An Eye On Your Drink

You may be with your best friend who you trust 100%, but you shouldn’t put all your trust in them. Especially, on a night you are both getting drunk and aren’t in your right minds. They could get distracted by someone else or find something more interesting. It’s best to just go get a new drink if you are suspicious. And absolutely, do not let someone stranger watch your drink. That is a huge no-no. Even a bartender, they have a job to serve costumers, they don’t have time to watch your drink while you talk to your friends or go dance. Instead, keep your drink on your person or go get a new drink.

The death of 20-year-old University of Minnesota student Dylan Fulton was alcohol-related, according to the Ramsey County medical examiner’s office. Fulton, 20, was found dead at a fraternity house near the St. Paul campus on Wednesday, September 12.

In a statement given by Lori Hedican — the chief investigator at the medical examiner’s office — Fulton had been “drinking, vomited when he was passed out and choked to death.”

The medical examiner’s office ruled that Fulton’s official cause of death was probable asphyxia and possible positional asphyxia with aspiration.

Following Fulton’s death, the national organization of Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity immediately suspended the University of Minnesota’s chapter.

Fulton, a sophomore from St. Lawrence, was an Animal Science major with an “emphasis in beef production” at the University of Minnesota. He was also a member of the Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity. Furthermore, Fulton was a member of the university’s Gopher Dairy Club, a club focused on the dairy industry.

Fulton’s official cause of death was probable asphyxia and possible positional asphyxia with aspiration; other significant causes were found to be ethanol intoxication, said Hedican of the death certificate. The certificate was filed Tuesday after toxicology results came back. Information about Fulton’s blood-alcohol level was not available.

Fulton had a 4.0 GPA throughout his educational career, which he maintained at the University of Minnesota, where he made the dean’s list, his family said. He received a full scholarship to attend the U, where he was a sophomore.

After Fulton died, University of Minnesota President Eric Kaler directed the Office for Student Affairs to help the leaders of Greek chapters “conduct a thoughtful and exhaustive safety review.” That work is underway and is being student-led, said Steve Henneberry, director of communications for the Office for Student Affairs.

The university is awaiting the results of the St. Paul police investigation to determine its next steps, which could be an investigation of its own, Henneberry said.

Alcohol and hazing-related deaths have become far too common of an occurrence in today’s fraternity culture.

In addition to Fulton, some of the most recent alcohol or hazing-related deaths include Penn State University student Tim Piazza, LSU student Max Gruver, and Texas A&M student Joseph William Little.

Zachary Alperin has been identified as the 22-year-old Missouri State University student who allegedly raped an unidentified woman on the school’s campus just hours after she attended a #MeToo rally. The incident allegedly occurred on Saturday, October 6.

On Wednesday, October 10, Alperin was charged with second-degree rape and sodomy for the alleged attack.

The Springfield News-Leader reports that the unidentified women met Alperin on Saturday, October 6 after she attended the #MeToo at Park Central Square.

The two went to some bars in downtown Springfield, Missouri, before going to the women’s room. According to police, the woman said in her official statement that she allowed Alperin to sleep over but made it clear not to touch her because she was intoxicated.

However, the woman’s statement says that after she went to sleep, she woke up in the middle of the night and found Alperin naked on top of her, alleging that Alperin performed sex acts on her before she could push him away.

In his statement, Alperin allegedly said to authorities: “I guess I tried to force myself on her, and I feel like such a terrible person for it.”

Alperin was being held at the Greene County Jail on $20,000 bond. If found guilty, the rape and sodomy charges carry possible 7-year prison sentences.

At the time of this writing, Alperin’s court date has not been set.

A South Carolina college has recently challenged conventional ways of generating revenue by cutting tuition and its college administrators are saying that it’s working.

Benedict College, a four-year liberal art college, cut its tuition by 26%. Rather than increasing the number of students, it decided to implement an enrollment cap. Instead of cutting down on social science majors, it decided to cut them out completely in order to revamp STEM-related majors (science, technology, engineering, and math.)

This historically black college in Columbia made more revenue under this new plan than its previous years, when tuition was $5,800 more and the number of students was roughly around the same.

“We cut our costs and capped enrollment, and I think a lot of people were worried about the impact that would have on our cash reserves and our ability to sustain ourselves,” Artis said. “We have exceeded our revenue projections…so far our plans appear to be working well and Benedict is achieving its goals.” Benedict College President Roslyn Artis said.

When President Artis took over in 2017, she claimed that Benedict College was broke. “We’ve had a lot of change this year,” Artis said. “Our goal now is to sustain.”

How Could Benedict College Afford This?

The main reason why the idea of cutting tuition while still generating revenue worked, lies in the new policy that requires students to pay for tuition up front. School administrators said that it was challenging at first, given that 82% of its students all receive Pell Grants. Pell Grants are grants bestowed by the government to aid low-income background families. The school ameliorated this by launching a campaign to make sure students are aware of the changes in cost structure.

Benedict College also found ways to save money by phasing out seven majors: history, religion and philosophy, sociology, political science, mathematics, economics, and transportation engineering. Instead, they decided to take the funds from those classes and focus them in classes such as engineering, biology, computer science, and cybersecurity.

Princess Eugenie — full name Eugenie Victoria Helena — is a member of the British royal family who is ninth in the line of succession to the British throne, after her elder sister, Princess Beatrice of York. Eugenie got married to Jack Brooksbank on Friday, October 12.

Last spring, Governor. Phil Murphy of New Jersey signed a bill that would provide financial aid to undocumented students. This made New Jersey one of the few states in the US who use taxpayer-funded financial aid to help illegal immigrants pay for college.

While the signing of the bill and the enactment of it has already been in its works, helping thousands of undocumented students get the education they need, state officials released the numbers of unauthorized immigrants who came forward to apply for this program.

According to state officials, in the first fourth months of the program, 1,365 undocumented students have applied. Of the 1,365 applicants, 665 have been approved to get money for college. That means 48% of the applicants were approved for financial aid.  Jennifer Azzarano, a spokeswoman for the New Jersey Higher Education Assistance Authority, also claimed that another 350 applications are still pending and the remaining 350 were rejected because students were deemed ineligible for the money.

State Legislatures said that early estimates for the costs to pay for the tuitions came out to be $5 million, but that exceeded in the first few months.

A lot of controversies has tied itself around this matter, questioning the morality of the decision to pay for undocumented immigrants while other students are struggling to pay their college cost.

Gov. Murphy replied, “This is the world’s melting pot where people in every part of the globe can come here in the hope of a new life.”

So far in New Jersey, the college with the most undocumented immigrants enrolled in is Rutgers University, best known for its Psychology, Biology/Biological Sciences, Kinesiology, and Public Health majors.

How Do Students Apply?

Students apply by filling out the New Jersey Alternative Financial Aid Application. The deadline for it was Sept. 15 to apply for the first wave of aid for the fall semester but they can continue applying now for the spring semester, state officials said.

Here are the criteria:

• Attended a New Jersey high school for at least three years
• Graduated from a New Jersey high school or received the equivalent of a high school diploma in New Jersey
• Male students have registered for the Selective Service
• The student signs an affidavit stating they will file an application to legalize their immigration status if and when they are eligible

State officials also said the application process for state financial aid is separate from any federal databases. No information will be given to the federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency.

Sarah McGill, a 28-year-old sex worker who was convicted of sleeping with a teenager in a Florida hotel room, has been ordered to sign the sex offenders register for seven years.

In June 2018, McGill was convicted of sexual activity with a male child at the Courtyard Marriott in Orlando, after he paid her $480 for sex.

While McGill — who used the alias Sophia Belle — was originally arrested on April 6 and was found guilty of lewd or lascivious battery in June, however, she avoided jail time and was instead placed on probation.

McGill, who is from Selkirkshire, Scotland, returned to the United Kingdom the week of October 8 and was ordered to sign the sex offenders register in a hearing at Uxbridge Magistrates Court.

Detective Constable Natalie Allgood of the Met’s Jigsaw unit told Uxbridge Magistrates Court: “(The defendant) was convicted of a relevant offence in a country outside the UK.” McGill was not required to attend the brief hearing.

Magistrate Lyn Green made her the subject of notification requirements for seven years commencing June 18 this year – the date of her conviction.

McGill, currently of no fixed abode, must notify police of her address and other addresses where she stays regularly, and also if she is living with anyone under the age of 18. The former hypnotherapist sobbed during the two hour interview and said that “I swear I didn’t know” the boy was under 18.

She said: “I wish that I never took him upstairs. I feel like such an idiot.”

Following her conviction, McGill was arrested on September 1 while trying to fly back to Britain from Orlando International Airport. She was then deported back to Britain and was ordered to sign the sex offenders register for seven years.

A white woman in Brooklyn, New York, who identified herself as Teresa Klein of Flatbush, sparked outrage in the community when she decided to call the cops on a nine-year-old black child who she accused of grabbing her butt inside of a bodega. Video of the incident was captured in which you hear the child hysterically crying after the allegations and while Klein was placing a call to police.

The incident took place at the Sahara Deli in Flatbush, according to the New York Post.

“I want the cops here right now!” Klein can be heard yelling over the phone. “The son grabbed my a– and she decided to yell at me.”

As Klein is confronted by outraged locals, one woman says, “Nobody wants to touch your flat a**.” She has since been dubbed “Cornerstore Caroline” — a shoutout to other alliterative names like “Barbecue Becky” and “Permit Patty.”

The man who filmed the video, Facebook user Jason Stovetop Littlejohn, says that the young boy was falsely accused.

“As I walked up I noticed the argument, apparently the kid brushed up against her and she said he touched her and decided to call police on a nine year old child. As you can see the kid is crying and the mom is upset,” Littlejohn wrote on Facebook.

Security footage from WPIX-TV backs up those claims and shows that the boy simply brushed against her with his backpack as he was leaving the bodega. You can view the surveillance video for yourself below and see that the boy was simply walking by Klein when she decided to overreact and show her ugly side.
