The Phi Sigma Phi fraternity has been permanently removed from the Central Michigan University campus.

According to reports, Phi Sigma Phi was originally temporarily suspended on August 21 for violating the university’s Code of Student Rights and Responsibilities involving the alcohol policy, violations by Registered Student Organizations and violation of university regulations.

This is the fourth CMU Greek organization that has been suspended or removed in the last year.

The university released the following statement about Phi Sigma Phi’s removal:

“Today’s action officially removes Phi Sigma Phi from CMU forever. The decision reflects multiple accusations of sexual misconduct, hazing, dangerous behaviors and this spring’s death of one of its members following a fraternity social event.”

The removal of Phi Sigma Phi at Central Michigan University is the latest major fraternity or sorority lawsuit, investigation, suspension or closure in the last year, as schools such as Indiana University, the University of Michigan, Ohio State University, Texas State, Florida State, Ball State, Louisiana State and Penn State have all suspended fraternities in the wake of hazing and alcohol deaths.

These reports come amidst similar allegations that have been made against fraternities nationwide, including Sigma Alpha Epsilon at East Carolina University, who was shut down for hazing and the Lambda Chi Alpha chapter at the University of Arkansas which has been accused of taking sexually explicit photographs of women without their permission.

In response to incidents like these, fraternities such Phi Kappa Psi have made numerous changes to their code of conduct in an effort to address the issues that have arisen. In addition, schools such as Texas State, West Virginia University, and Penn State University have introduced new Greek Life rules to try and prevent these problems.

Hialeah Gardens High School is a public high school in Hialeah Gardens, Florida, United States, which opened its doors in August 2009. It is part of the Miami-Dade County Public Schools system.

The reports of a lockdown at Hialeah Gardens High School in Florida is just the latest in a string of evacuations, lockdowns, bomb threats, and shootings that have plagued the United States.

Over the course of the past few years, shootings and lockdowns such as these have been a scourge upon the country and people have struggled with coming up with a solution. Lockdowns have become all too common as a means of protection when students and faculty are in danger and today is no different.

This incident follows similar incidents at Dodd Middle School in Connecticut, Windham Public Schools also in Connecticut, Pacoima Middle School in Los Angeles, Millennium Middle School in Florida, and US Grant High School in Oklahoma, which are just some of the places where events such as this have occurred.

UCLA students believe they are carrying around gold bars in their bags. Now, be aware when walking around the neighborhood outside the campus, you may accidentally walk into an orthodox Jew neighborhood. So, if you would like to live a peaceful life and not get yelled at by wealthy Jew don’t go to UCLA.

USC

If you attend this school, do not leave the campus. If you like your life and would like to see your future, we suggest not going to your dorm room. It’s a scary world outside of USC, a world your young eyes should not see. But, like most of you who won’t take my advice will take on the role of a USC student which is, University of Spoiled Children. You get a beautiful campus and some luxury Greek row, but you will forever be known as a douche.

UC Santa Barbara

Nothing matters at this school besides throwing parties. One of the most prominent party schools to attend, but forget about your future because alcohol is the only thing that will be teaching you the way of life. You will still get a degree, probably for how to properly play beer pong, but at least you graduated. Just don’t be upset when you are at a job interview, and they ask you what your good at and they get angry when you say shotgunning a beer. We will save you the time, you aren’t getting the job.

San Diego State (SDSU)

One of the drunkest schools in the country. You will know if people are attending SDSU because they are constantly sunburned, always stumbling with their alcohol-infused bodies, and somehow still have sand in their hair. If you want to be at the beach 24/7 and not get a good education, SDSU is the college for you. But, we must warn you all your money won’t be going into the school, it will be going into all the booze you will be drinking. Which doesn’t sound too bad to us?

Corey Lewis has been identified as the Georgia babysitter who had the police called on him by a white woman because he was babysitting two white children.

According to reports, Lewis — who runs a youth-mentoring program in Atlanta, Georgia — uploaded a video to Facebook live that shows a Cobb County police officer responding to a woman’s call about the girl and boy he was babysitting on Sunday, October 7.

In the video, Lewis explains to the responding officer that he is their babysitter and that he’d taken them to get dinner at the Subway in Walmart.

Following dinner, Lewis then stopped to get some gas, which is an unidentified woman who had been following them asked to speak to the children to see if they knew who Lewis was. After Lewis denied her request,  the woman called the cops and then followed Lewis home.

Once the officer arrived, the children — a 10-year-old girl and a 6-year-old boy — confirmed that Lewis is their after-school teacher and babysitter.

CBS 46 spoke to the children’s parents about the incident:

David Parker and Dana Mango were in disbelief.

“I said are you saying that because there’s an African American male driving my two white kids, that he was stopped and pulled over and questioned and he said I’m sorry ma’am that’s exactly what I’m saying,” Mango told CBS46.

The East Cobb couple arranged for Lewis to babysit their children weeks ago. Their son attends his youth mentor program called ‘Inspired by Lewis’. The parents believe Lewis was stalked, harassed and questioned by police.

“B-W-B which I guess is the new thing, babysitting while black,” said Parker.

Parker and Mango said they don’t believe that the woman was trying to protect their children because they never showed any signs of being in danger.

At this time, CBS is investigating to find out who this woman is.

The Ultimate Fighting Championship announced UFC 230, the promotion’s return to New York City’s iconic Madison Square Garden, will be headlined by a heavyweight championship bout between current titleholder Daniel Cormier and challenger Derrick Lewis, who scored an incredible comeback at UFC 229 when he knocked out Alexander Volkov in the closing moments of the fight.

It is a late addition to the card which was lacking a marquee main event, so the UFC has yet to put together any official promos or packages for the fight.

But don’t you worry, because MMA fans are already on it.

Shortly after it was announced that Cormier vs. Lewis would be serving as the headlining bout at UFC 230, fan-made hype videos began surfacing online. In fact, Derrick Lewis shared one of his own that brings some rare comedy to the promo world. Check it out:

– Poyer was engaged to some chick before Rachel and cheated on his then-fiancee with Bush.

– Bush allegedly slept with Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown in the weeks leading up to their wedding. (Brown has allegedly admitted to this, although I couldn’t find any proof of that still floating around the internet.)

– Poyer slept with University of Buffalo student Summer Rae during the summer, around July 4.

Now, because of all that, Bush and Summer have been in an all-out social media war, posting text messages and explicit pictures of one another.

“Whoever’s not Armenian we’re gonna shoot.”

Several high school students have been disciplined after shocking footage of what parents described as a racially-motivated melee between dozens of teens at Glendale, California.

Students involved in the brawl at Herbert Hoover High school on Wednesday, October 3 were remanded to separate rooms Monday, October 8 and spoke little during “restorative circle” sessions with school counselors, according to KTLA. During the day, Hoover principal Jennifer Earl met with a series of parents seeking answers and commitments while Glendale Police maintained a visible presence at the campus.

What Happened?

A video posted online Wednesday, October 3 shows dozens of students at Herbert Hoover High School in Glendale, California involved in an altercation that has resulted in suspensions.

The fight reportedly erupted during lunch period on Wednesday, starting as a dispute between two students and quickly grew to involve dozens. Police arrived around 1 P.M. to restore order, as the fists continued to fly.

No serious injuries were reported. Although several stories have been floated around as of what started the fight, including a bullying incident.

Parents told KTLA their children say there is racial tension on campus between Armenian students, who are said to be the largest ethnic group in the school, and football players, who are mostly black, Latino and other ethnicities.

According to the Daily Mail, parents said tensions boiled over into violence after an incident involving a special needs student who attempted to hug an Armenian student.

At that point, the Armenian student refused and supposedly spat at the special needs student. Football players then jumped to his defense, with other students quickly joined in. Some parents said the spitting never took place.

“I know a lot of the students are very stressed and they can’t concentrate, and they don’t want to be at school. And what are we suppose to do?” a concerned parent Iris Lopez told KTLA. “Our kids are supposed to go to school to get an education, not to worry about getting in a fight or getting jumped.”

Tensions Didn’t End After The Fight

Parents said that message circulated the night on Thursday, October 4. Yet parents were not informed by school administrators until Friday, October 5, one hour after classes had begun.

Parents met with school administrators on Monday, October 8 to address the violence and threats. One parent said they feel that there is not enough security on campus.

District Superintendent Winfred Roberson Jr. issued a statement Monday afternoon, saying unsubstantiated rumors were heightening anxiety and fear in the campus community.

“Speculation about any motives and triggers for this altercation are very premature,” the statement read. “The district is still gathering all of the facts and interviewing witnesses to the incident to determine exactly how and why this occurred.”

Roberson also said “adult supervision” on the campus has been increased to “maintain order.” KTLA spoke to a security guard on site Monday, who said she didn’t generally work there, but the school has hired extra security because of the incident.

The students involved have been disciplined, Roberson added, noting that the “entire football team was not suspended or disciplined.” However, the superintendent said he could not go into the specifics of the repercussions or which students were involved.

According to parents, multiple students were suspended. District officials are continuing to investigate the fight.

“This was a serious situation and the district is taking it very seriously,” Roberson said. “GUSD is working collaboratively with all responsible stakeholders to address the underlying circumstances and perceptions that may have contributed to the incident.”

Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov has a reputation of being a very respectful yet very serious man, as Khabib himself said that his father was going to “smash him” when gets home for his post-fight actions at UFC 229:

“I know my father gonna smash me when I go home because… I know he gonna smash me,” Khabib said at the UFC 229 postfight press conference.

Despite the ass-kicking he received from Khabib, McGregor’s coach John Kavanagh said on Joe Rogan’s podcast that the former two-division champion was “screaming and shouting” for a rematch “within minutes”.

Given that Khabib’s father has put McGregor’s antics in the past, maybe the lead-up up to Khabib vs McGregor 2 will be a little more respectful.

Hurricane Michael made landfall on the Florida Panhandle on Wednesday, Oct. 9 as a Category 4 storm. It was one of the strongest storms to ever hit Florida’s panhandle and cities like Panama City and Mexico Beach were directly in its path. Haley is a member of the Kappa Delta sorority on campus.

Kappa Delta, which has the motto “Let us strive for that which is honorable, beautiful and highest,” was founded at the State Female Normal School (now known as Longwood University) in Farmville, Virginia. Travis County Jail

Erica Dinora Gomez, a 23-year-old teacher at Bowie High School in Austin, Texas has been arrested for an inappropriate relationship with a 15-year-old student. Gomez was booked into Travis County Jail this week with a bail of $75,000.

According to Austin American-Statesman, Gomez is facing two felony charges of sexual assault of a child and an improper relationship between an educator and a student.

If convicted, Gomez will face between two and 20 years in prison.

Details of how authorities received a lead that ultimately led to Gomez’s arrest can be seen below.

What Happened?

Gomez was arrested on two felony accounts related to an inappropriate relationship with a 15-year-old student. Authorities first became of the allegations after the boy’s mother went through his phone when she heard him come home early Sunday morning. When going through his phone, the mother discovered explicit Snapchat messages that read, “Babe… We’ve had car sex twice… Like that blows my mind LOL.”

Another message referred to “fun in the back seat,” according to the Daily Mail.

Gomez, who graduated from the University of Texas a year ago, allegedly had sex up to five times over the course of a few months. She was fired from Bowie High School once they learned of the allegations.

Where Is Bowie High School?

Bowie High School is the largest school in the Austin Independent School District with a student body of 3,000. The school is home to students grades 9 through 12 with a staff of 243 led by principal Mark Robinson. Bowie High School, which was established in 1988, was previously ranked as the No. 8 public high school in Austin by Children at Risk. The school mascot is the Bulldogs, with colors of black, red and silver.

Erica Dinora Gomez, a 23-year-old teacher in Texas, hs confessed to having sex with a 15-year-old student several times in the past few months. Gomez, a math teacher at Bowie High School in Austin, Texas, was arrested on Monday, October 8.

According to reports, Gomez told authorities that she met the unidentified teenage in January 2018 and began having sex with him in August. Gomez’s arrest affidavit says that the pair met up for illicit encounters four or five times in the past few months. Additionally, the affidavit states that Gomez referenced sexual encounters in the “back seat” through Snapchat messages.

“Babe … We’ve had car sex twice. Like that blows my mind LOL,” one Snapchat message read.

Gomez has been charged with two felony charges of sexual assault of a child and an improper relationship between an educator and a student. As of Wednesday, October 10, Gomez remained at the Travis County Jail being held on $75,000 bail.

Gomez is just the latest teacher to be charged for inappropriate conduct. Over the course of just a few months, educators across the country were arrested for entering into an inappropriate relationship with their students, Tennessee teacher Janet Smothers, LaToya Parker, Florida teacher Caroline Lawson, 26-year-old Allyson Moran and Katherine Ross Ridenhour were all arrested on similar charges. A woman named Kayla Sprinkles was arrested in North Carolina for similar sexual crimes.

The list goes on to include 22-year-old Oklahoma science teacher Hunter Day, 28-year-old teacher Megan Kotarski, 23-year-old history teacher Michelle Schiffer, 29-year-old Alyssia Marie Reddy, special education teacher Jordan Ondish and 28-year-old Samantha Fitzpatrick have all been allegedly carrying on inappropriate relationships with their students.

34-year-old Miranda Nicole Pauley was charged with similar crimes, Nancy Leigh Ann Brann, a former Christian school teacher, was arrested for having sex with a student, Coine Audiat pleaded no contest to having sex with a minor in 2016 and 23-year-old Darci Lake was arrested for an inappropriate relationship. 27-year-old Brittany Zamora from Arizona was arrested on similar charges. Keri Hoffman, 35, was also arrested for an alleged relationship with a student. Similarly, 29-year-old Tiffany Ranweiler-Oblander and 33-year-old Maren Oates were arrested on similar charges.

More recently, 29-year-old Haylie Smart, 25-year-old Alaina Ferguson, and 32-year-old Laura Bucy were charged with similar crimes.

Khabib Nurmagomedov is not happy with the UFC. After the UFC 229 brawl between Nurmagomedov’s team and Conor McGregor’s team, UFC president Dana White said that the two Nurmagomedov teammates who jumped into the cage and attacked McGregor would “never fight for the UFC again.” One of those men was Zubaira Tukhugov, who was set to fight McGregor training partner Artem Lobov later this month.

Tukhugov vs. Lobox has been canceled, but there is no official word on whether Tukhugov has been released from the UFC — despite bragging about hitting McGregor in the cage.

And in an attempt to save his friend’s UFC career, Nurmagomedov took to social media to lash out against the UFC with a lengthy statement.

The lightweight champion asked the UFC why they never stepped up or punished Team McGregor for the bus incident in Brooklyn or for attacking his family, religion, and country. He also threatened the promotion by saying he would quit the UFC if they decide to release Tukhugov.

If you say that I started it, then I do not agree, I finished what he had started.

“In any case, punish me, [Zubaira Tukhugov] has nothing to do with that. If you think that I’ll keep silent then you are mistaken. You canceled Zubaira’s fight and you want to dismiss him just because he hit Conor. But don’t forget that it was Conor who had hit my another brother FIRST, just check the video.

“If you decide to fire him, you should know that you’ll lose me too. We never give up on our brothers in Russia and I will go to the end for my brother. If you still decide to fire him, don’t forget to send me my broken contract, otherwise, I’ll break it myself. And one more thing, you can keep my money that you are withholding. Bad Bunny and Drake have teamed up for a new song “MIA” — which features Drake singing in Spanish. The song dropped on Thursday, Oct. 11 and came out along with official video, directed by Fernando Lugo. The two artists have been teasing a collaboration dating back to January. And in May, Bad Bunny teased the project again with a photo of the two men posing together which he posted on Twitter.

Kelsey Quayle has been identified as the 28-year-old model who was shot in the neck while driving on Upper Riverdale Road in Clayton County around 7 a.m. on the morning of Monday, October 8.

According to reports, while Quayle — a native Yucaipa in San Bernardino County, California — was driving along Upper Riverdale Road, a bullet entered her neck, severing her spinal cord at the base of her brain, which caused “catastrophic” brain damage. Police said that there were no reports of gunfire in the area at the time of Quayle’s crash.

Quayle was pronounced dead on Wednesday, October 10, after being taken off life support. She had just moved to the area a few months prior to her death.

Speaking to Fox, Kelsey’s sister Kayleigh said that “right now a theory would be road rage, or maybe just a cross-fire maybe but we just have so many unanswered questions.”

At this time, there are no suspects or persons of interest. Additionally, no arrests have been made. Police are asking anyone with information about the tragedy to come forward and assist in the investigation by calling CrimeStoppers on 404-577-8477.

The Ford flipped over but the driver only suffered minor injuries. It was only after doctor’s at Grady Hospital began working on Quayle that it was discovered she had suffered a gunshot wound.

Captain Scott Stubbs of the Clayton County PD had earlier told the media that investigators believe the shooting was the “primary cause of her not being conscious, leaving the roadway into the length of traffic.”

A lawsuit was filed by The Westminister Foundation naming Rider University and Beijing Kaiwen Education Technology Co. in an attempt to hinder the buyout of Westminster Choir College (WCC) to the Chinese company. Kaiwen Education is a private non-profit school based in Beijing, China, held by Badachu Holdings Group and is currently trying to buy Westminster Choir College for $40 million.

The complaint from the Westminister Foundation is that it says Kaiwen Education Co. created a sham nonprofit to conceal the true ownership of the school.

Bruce Afran, an attorney for the Westminster Foundation said, “Rider University’s proposed sale of Westminster Choir College to Beijing Kaiwen … is a disguised takeover of an American college by the Chinese government.” and “This proposed sale will endanger Westminster’s long tradition of academic freedom.” One of their biggest concern is that the Chinese company will use Westminister’s endowment of $20 million for its own private use.

Jaimie Flack, a former Westminister College student who resigned in protest from the alumni board in June due to the fact that she cannot support “the monetization of Westminster Choir College to benefit Rider University.”

“I will never feel that their (Rider’s) interest is in our interest,” she said. “It’s all about money. This is not about academics, not about ideology.”

Constance Fee, the president of the Westminister Foundation expresses her opinions on the academic freedom that is threatened by this arrangement. Acknowledging the fact that all concert repertoire must require the intervention of the Chinese government, she sees the stake that comes with the buyout, which is the limitation of the amount of freedom and creativity the choir has in the future.

But some administrators at Westminster Choir College are very supportive and optimistic about this sale.

“This is the beginning of an exciting new era for Westminster Choir College, its faculty, staff, and students,” said Gregory G. Dell’Omo, president of Rider University. “Kaiwen Education put forth an impressive proposal rooted in their sincere interest in the Westminster brand and in keeping the institution as a part of the Princeton community. We are eager to continue collaborating with Kaiwen Education to develop a binding agreement, the next step in this process.”

Kaiwen Education Co. has also expressed that their goal of buying WCC is to sustain and grow its reputation to a higher caliber while maintaining its artistic integrity and its academic name.

As of now, the school’s dynamic and functionality will be maintained. Nonadvocates to this arrangement between Rider and Kaiwen have all filed suit in federal court to try to block the sale.
