Braun Strowman has been an absolute tear through Monday Night Raw, taking out both “The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar and “The Big Red Machine Kane” last week as he used a grappling hook to bury his foes in metal scaffolding. This reportedly put Lesnar in the hospital (probably storyline) while Kane refused medical attention and will be looking for revenge tonight inside the AT&T Center.

Meanwhile, The Miz is fresh off his return. Last week, “The Hollywood A-Lister” and his Miztourage laid waste to “The Big Dog” Roman Reigns, triple-powerbombing him into the canvas. Reigns will definitely be looking for a measure of revenge tonight.

“The Empress of Tomorrow” Asuka will have a lot on her hands tonight as she battles a titan in the form of Nia Jax. The outcome of this match will provide the victor with all the momentum on her side as she walks into the first women’s Royal Rumble in less than two weeks.

It appears as if Paige‘s in-ring career is over. After getting kicked in the head by Sasha Banks at a December 28th house show, Paige has been put on the shelf permanently, which means she has been removed from the first-ever women’s Royal Rumble match and will most likely never wrestle again.

In other WWE news, Bill Goldberg has been announced as the very first inductee into the 2018 class of the WWE Hall of Fame.

Dolores O’Riordan, lead singer of hit Irish rock band The Cranberries, passed away on Monday at the age of 46. The Cranberries are most-famous for songs such as “Linger”, “Zombie”, “Ridiculous Thoughts”, “Dreams” and more. Their debut album, Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can’t We?, was an international success, topping the charts in Ireland and the United Kingdom, as well as reaching the number 18 spot on the U.S. Billboard 200 list. O’Riordan released her first solo album Are You Listening? in May 2007, which number two on the Italian Album Chart.

In 1995, O’Riordan spoke with The Rolling Stone and told them that she had been singing since she was a little girl. “My mom always had a softer spot for boys, as a lot of Irish women do,” she said. “If you were a girl, you’d have to sing or wear a pretty dress. But boys could just sit there and be brilliant for sitting there and being boys. It makes you that little bit more forward. Pushy. I was singing, always.”

Brandon Zingale, former University of Missouri-Columbia freshman who was hospitalized in September 2016 due to alcohol poisoning, has sued the university’s Kappa Alpha fraternity, including three individual members, for hazing.

Zingale, who was an 18-year-old pledge at Kappa Alpha at the time of the incident, claims he was “coerced by active members ofo drink so much vodka that he nearly died” at the fraternity house in Columbia the night of September 27, 2016.

According to the lawsuit, after Zingale passed out, members of the fraternity left him alone, putting him to bed and attaching a backpack in an effort to keep him from rolling over and suffocating. The following morning when paramedics arrived, Zingale was found unconscious, foaming at the mouth.

Zingale’s BAC, almost 10 hours after he stopped drinking, was 0.41 percent, which is over five times the legal limit for driving in Missouri. According to reports, Zingale experienced ‘acute respiratory failure, nerve compression, and metabolic dysfunction.’

Defendants in the suit include the fraternity’s national organization Kappa Alpha Order and its Alpha Kappa chapter at Mizzou. The fraternity knew of the risk of hazing traditions involving heavy drinking and did not do enough to prevent its members’ dangerous activities, according to the suit.

Jacob Lee, president of the fraternity chapter at the time, Max McGrath and Ryan Heuermann, fraternity members, are also named in the suit, which alleges that the three students participated in the hazing of Zingale and did not get him emergency medical care fast enough.

One month after the incident, the University of Missouri kicked the Kappa Alpha fraternity off campus for five years. At the time, the fraternity released a statement that read “misuse of alcohol, and hazing, are each contrary to our values and are strictly and expressly prohibited by Kappa Alpha Order.”

The Kappa Alpha national organization conducted their own investigation, concluding that the incident involving Zingale did not constitute hazing.

In a statement, Zingale’s parents said: “We are hopeful that Brandon’s lawsuit will bring attention to the danger of alcohol hazing at fraternities and universities across the country.”

Mizzou Sigma Pi Challenges Carrie Underwood To Blues-Predators Bet

Jacob Stephens, a former Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity brother at the University of Oklahoma, has been charged with embezzling $32,000 of the fraternity’s dues.

Stephens, a former “trusted” member of the Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity at OU, was made treasurer soon after joining the frat. According to Matthew Mullins, a brother in the Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity, Stephens had been a national merit scholar and “was really into his studies the first semester I ever met him when he was a freshman.”

In Spring 2017, members of the fraternity noticed that the chapter’s bank account had no money left in it. Members looked at photocopies of checks issued over the past two years and found that Stephens had been writing out checks to himself for large sums of money.

The affidavit also said he was making unauthorized transactions at the Republic Bank & Trust in Norman, where the fraternity’s account was located. In all, he was found to have allegedly stolen about $32,000.

“All the money that kids saved up over winter break, working or their parents had put aside for them,” Mullins said.

When they confronted Stephens about the money, they said he acted confused and denied it.

“He and his girlfriend said that someone else must have been forging all those checks,” Mullins said.

But, according to the affidavit, the checks issued by Stephens were deposited into his Capital One, N.A. account. The night they confronted him, his brothers said he disappeared and hasn’t been seen since.

With no money left in their account, the fraternity chapter was forced to cancel the remaining events for the year. A warrant has been issued for Stephens’ arrest.

University Of Florida Suspends Fraternity Until 2021 Due To Alcohol & Drug Use

Trisha Anderson Rogers, a 47-year-old former student teacher at a North Carolina middle school was sentenced to eight months in prison after pleading guilty to soliciting a young student for sex.

Rogers, who was a student teacher at Murray Middle School in North Carolina, was arrested in July 2016 for using her cell phone to try to meet with a 13-year-old boy student for an “unlawful sex act”.

She pled guilty to three counts of indecent liberties and was sentenced to eight months in prison, with 20 to 33 months in prison suspended, in addition to 60 months of supervised probation.

According to arrest warrants, the alleged offenses took place between Feb. 29 and May 5 while Rogers was a student teacher at Murray Middle School and the 13-year-old was a student at the same school. Warrants allege that Rogers used a cell phone to try and meet up with the student for the purpose of sex.

Officials with New Hanover County Schools said Rogers was a student teacher at Murray Middle for one semester last spring. She also previously served as a substitute teacher for the school system.

School officials said when they were made aware of the issue they notified law enforcement immediately, terminated her internship and removed her from the substitute teacher list on May 5.

Rogers must also register as a sex offender and was ordered to pay at least $600 in court fees.

This is the latest in a string of teacher/student sex scandals over the last couple of years. In November, Tennessee teacher Janet Smothers was arrested. Former nutrition teacher LaToya Parker was also arrested for a relationship with a student. Florida teacher Caroline Lawson was charged with sexual assault. 26-year-old Allyson Moran was also arrested for similar crimes. The 23-year-old high school teacher Katherine Ross Ridenhour was also arrested for an inappropriate relationship.

Furthermore, Hunter Day, 22, was also arrested after a sting operation. Megan Kotarski was also arrested on similar charges. Michelle Schiffer, a 23-year-old history teacher in Texas, was also charged and arrested for allegedly having sex with a teenage student. 29-year-old Alyssia Marie Reddy was arrested in Maryland for her crimes in New Jersey. Samantha Fitzgerland, a 28-year-old, was most recently arrested and charged. Jordan Ondish was arrested for her inappropriate relationship with a 19-year-old, while 28-year-old Samantha Fitzpatrick was arrested on similar charges.

Nicole Marie Andrews was arrested as well. 32-year-old Jessica Langford was arrested and charged with sexual assault-related crimes as well. A teacher from Oregon, Andrea Baber, was accused of having a sexual relationship with a student.  Robin Dunlap, a teacher in Florida, was arrested for sending illicit photos to a 15-year-old boy in Texas. Teacher and tennis coach Jennifer Olajire-Aro was also charged. 42-year-old Heather Butts of California was arrested on a second-degree felony charge. Nancy Leigh Ann Brann, a former Christian school teacher, was arrested for having sex with a student. Coine Audiat pleaded no contest to having sex with a minor in 2016. 23-year-old Darci Lake was arrested for an inappropriate relationship.

Valeria Costadoni was also arrested due to a relationship with her student. 40-year-old Kisha Nuckols was arrested for having sex with a student, too. Hilary Dattilo, a 30-year-old Ohio high school teacher, has been accused of having a sexual relationship with a female student. 30-year-old Missouri teacher Elizabeth Morgan was also arrested on similar charges.

YouTuber Graham Heavenrich, better known as Graham The Christian, uploaded a live stream video in which he repeated “Gucci Gang” 1 million times for charity.

In order to raise money for charity, Heavenrich partnered with Red Nose Day, a charity who seeks to raise “awareness and money to help” children around the world “through the power of entertainment.” Heavenrich has partnered with the organization in the past, according to Twitter.

In addition to repeating ‘gucci gang,’ Heavenrich can also be seen wearing a “Gucci” t-shirt while in the live stream video. According to visual records, Heavenrich managed to say that 1,000 ‘gucci gangs’ in around 15 minutes!

Who is Graham Heavenrich?

Originally named “CowbellyTV,” Heavenrich is a YouTube performer that has garnered 850,000 subscribers on his channel. He was best known for videos like “Club Penguin Ruined”, “Minecraft Ruined” and “Roblox Ruined;” he is normally called a gamer, but is also classified as a musical artist. He occasionally still uses the “CowbellyTV” moniker on social media, like his official Twitter account; in order to promote the “Gucci” campaign, for the time being, he is also going by the Twitter name, “Gucci Graham.”

He is 19 years of age, with his birthday on April 16, 1998. Heavenrich created his YouTube channel in November of 2015, with his first video, “Club Penguin Ruined Episode 1.”

What is ‘Gucci Gang?’

“Gucci Gang” in itself originates from a song from American rapper, Lil Pump. In its original incarnation, the video has garnered over 400 million views on YouTube.

Rising on the Hot 100 charts, Billboard said that the song was “arguably the hottest song in the world.”

A major road in Westmoreland County, in Youngwood, Pennsylvania, had been closed due to an active shooter situation; police later identified the shooter as David Joseph Havranek.

Local police sent out a message on social media that the road, State Route 119, was closed off “as troopers are on the scene of a barricaded gunman situation. Please find an alternate route and avoid the area if possible,” adding that they would update information as it would become available.

Reportedly, local residents were also told to seek shelter in their basements. Those who were unable to return to their homes were told to go to Youngwood fire hall to keep warm.

Police later identified the shooter as David Joseph Havranek. The following statement was given on social media:

“We believe David Joseph Havranek exited a residence at 404 S 4th Street in Youngwood earlier this morning and fired several shots. Some of those shot damaged property. We have credible information that David is barricaded inside the 4th Street address.”

Westmoreland Community College later issued a statement on social media assuring that the situation had been contained. The following statement was released on social media:

“ALERT: Active shooter situation @ Youngwood Sunoco. Police have situation contained. Advising students, faculty, staff to avoid area. Campus is open.”

According to reports from Trib Live,, Havranek was still barricaded inside the residence at noon.

What eye-witnesses were saying about the incident?

According to Trib Live, Anna Vukovich, a nearby resident, said that she heard six gunshots during the incident. She also released the following statement:

“I heard one gunshot and then several more after that. There was a lull … then I started counting and I heard six more after that.”

Youngwood resident Clarence Givens also gave the following statement:

“Sometimes you can hear gunshots from the Youngwood Sportsman’s Club, and that drives him crazy, but this just sounded like it was extremely close…It just kept going and going…I let (Larry) in and told my wife, ‘we’re not going out for a while.”

Vermont Police opened fire on standoff and robbery suspect at Montpelier High School.

The unidentified male suspect allegedly robbed the nearby Vermont State Employees Credit Union branch in Montpelier, Vermont around 9:30 a.m. EST. No one was injured in the standoff other than the suspect.  Police cornered the suspect at Montpelier High School.

WCAX News has a crew at the scene. They witnessed police fire weapons at the suspect and the suspect dropped to the ground. We don’t yet know what type of weapons police were using. The Department of Labor, which is on the same street at the school, is on lockdown, according to the Labor Commissioner.

Montpelier’s Chief of Police says no one should go to the school or call the school.

Montpelier High School is a public secondary school, comprising grades 9-12, located in Montpelier, Vermont. MHS serves the Montpelier School District. Montpelier is located near the center of Vermont in Washington County.

The school’s sports teams are called the Solons and the school’s colors are green and white. Enrollment in 2006 was 420; in 2012 it was 317. Other schools in the district include Union Elementary School and Main Street Middle School.

U.S. News & World Report ranked Montpelier High School in the top 500 out of over 18,000 high schools in the United States in November 2007. They initially and incorrectly reported that the school ranked fifth. The school brought the error to the magazine’s attention shortly thereafter, prompting a correction on December 10, 2007. The school’s correct ranking still puts it in the top 2.8% of American high schools and the best in Vermont.

The daughter is Kanye and Kim’s third child together after their first daughter, North, and their son, Saint.

Kardashian began dating Kanye West in April 2012 and gave birth to their daughter North West on June 15, 2013. Kardashian and  Kanye West became engaged on October 21 and got married on May 24, 2014 in Florence, Italy.

Dunking a basketball is one of the most amazing feelings in the world if you are athletically capable or tall enough to do so. It is also one of the most fascinating things to watch.

The slam dunk is the most efficient shot in the game and can bring a crowd to its feet and bring shame to a defender. The 80’s 90’s and early 2000’s saw some of the best dunkers ever grace the court. Due to an increase in athleticism in recent years, we have been able to see some of the best dunks ever.

Whether it is a poster dunk or a flashy alley-oop, we are lucky we have access to so much technology so we will never miss a spectacular dunk. Dunking is such a fan favorite they made a competition just for it. With the slam dunk contest almost upon us here is a list of the top 10 dunkers of all-time.

10. Darryl Dawkins

The late great Darryl Dawkins also was known as “Chocolate Thunder” during his prime days with the Philadelphia 76ers. Dawkins was known for the many backboards he broke which later led to a rule that would fine and suspend any player who broke a backboard. Another great quality Dawkins was known for was his awesome nicknames he would give his dunks like; “Rim Wrecker,” “In Your Face Disgrace,” and the “Greyhound Special” just to name a few. The NBA world lost Dawkins due to a heart attack in the summer of 2015.

9 Russell Westbrook

Russell Westbrook is one of the most athletic point guards to ever grace a basketball court. He plays with high intensity and has such incredible leaping ability. Luckily for the NBA, they fixed the issue of backboards shattering into pieces because Westbrook dunks the ball with so much force he would have been fined a few times. You can just see the look in his eyes when he has an open lane to the basket he is looking to destroy his opponent and the rim.

8. Shawn Kemp

Just like the first two guys on this list, Shawn Kemp dunked the ball with authority. But he also had a little bit of flare, and cockiness to his dunks. Kemp had the amazing ability to shift his body to avoid defenders and in some cases take contact in mid-air and still finish with an outrageous dunk. Kemp was not afraid to let his opponent know what he just did to them. In his most famous dunk, Kemp can be seen bent down pointing and laughing directly at his opponents face.

7. Kobe Bryant

Kobe Bryant may be known for his ability to come through for his team whenever they needed him too. But young Kobe was a dunking machine. He had such outstanding athletic ability. The former slam dunk champion had no problem showing off his hops with a flashy reverse dunk or coming down the lane and dunking on your teams seven-foot center. Whether you liked him or not there was no denying Kobe’s excellent dunking ability.

6. Dominique Wilkins

Dominique Wilkins was one of the best scorers the NBA has ever seen. During his tenure with the Atlanta Hawks, he was their go-to guy which is why he has a statue in his honor outside their arena. But along with his scoring ability came his high flying antics which earned him the nickname the “human highlight reel.” Wilkins was a two-time NBA Slam Dunk Champion and had no fear running through the lane and dunking on any big man.

5. Blake Griffin

Blake Griffin was a fantastic athlete in his college days with the University of Oklahoma, on one occasion Griffin went up for a dunk from the sideline and hit his head on the bottom of the backboard. After sitting out his rookie season with an injury, Griffin came out looking to destroy every rim in the NBA. His high flying dunks led to him participating in the 2011 NBA Slam Dunk Contest, where he would end the night dunking over a car. Grifin was not just about posterizing someone, but his ability to hang in the air is uncanny. He hangs in the air so long sometimes it gives him a chance to think of what kind of dunk he wants to throw down.

4. LeBron James

As much as people might not like it LeBron is in the conversation for greatest player of all-time, he may not have surpassed Michael Jordan yet, but he is close. Unlike many on this list, James has not participated in a dunk contest, but his pure physical abilities make him a must on this list. He is built like a linebacker with insane leaping ability. James will dunk on you but can also put on a great show while on a fast break. During many of his pre-game warm-ups, James will perform a dunk that would have won many slam dunk contest which is why people wonder why he never participated.

3. Michael Jordan

As I mentioned before Michael Jordan is considered by many to be the greatest player ever. MJ was not just a lethal scorer but also an outstanding dunker. There is a reason they call his sneakers Air Jordans. In his early years, MJ was a flashy dunker who would get the crowd out of their seats with his wild fastbreak dunks. Jordan is a two-time slam dunk champion beating out Dominique Wilkins in 1988. As his career went on Jordan can be seen dunking on some of the premier shot blockers in the NBA. Once Air Jordan went up, his tongue came out, and he rocked the rim.

2. Julius Erving

Julius Erving nicknamed “Dr. J” could be considered the originator of the flashy dunk. Winning the first ever dunk contest in 1976 when he was with New York Nets of the ABA. Erving was smooth with his dunks as he almost glided through the air as he attacked the rim. When Dr. J joined the Philadelphia 76ers of the NBA, he and his teammate Darryl Dawkins would terrorize teams with their freakish athleticism. His most infamous dunk may have come during a game against the Los Angeles Lakers, where Dr.J rocked the baby. Erving cradled the ball into his wrist and forearm and rocked it back and forth before he threw it down.

1. Vince Carter

How can a man whose nickname “half man half amazing” not be on this list. Vince Carter is the greatest dunker to ever play the game of basketball. Vinsanity was literally able to fly back in his Toronto Raptor days. When Carter and his cousin Tracy McGrady were on the same team in Toronto, they were on a mission to dunk on everyone. Carter got the ball on the fastbreak, and everyone stood up, every camera was ready because he was going to put on the show. The man won a slam dunk contest by jumping so high he was able to put half his arm through the rim and hang on the rim by his forearm. He would float in the air and spent so much time up there that he could choose many different types of dunks he wanted to do. And let’s not forget when he jumped over 7’2″ Frederic Weis in the 2000 Summer Olympics for an unbelievable dunk.

Hewitt’s first big break came when she was a child actor has landed a role on Disney Channel’s Kids Incorporated from 1989-1991.

After a few years of various television roles, Hewitt became a household name when she portrayed Sarah Reeves Merrin on the hit Fox television show, Party of Five (1995-1999).

Hewitt landed her first starring film role in Little Miss Millions (1993). That led to her appearance as a young choir member in the film Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit (1993) alongside Whoopi Goldberg.

In the music industry, Hewitt had released albums during her Party of Five years. She juggled her acting and music career. Her albums failed to chart until the single “How Do I Deal” (1999) from the I Know What You Did Last Summer motion-picture soundtrack shot to No. 59 on the Hot 100.

2000-2010

Hewitt starred in The Audrey Hepburn Story (2000). In 2001, she starred opposite Sigourney Weaver in the film Heartbreakers and in The Tuxedo (2002) with Jackie Chan.

She had the lead role of the Ghost Whisperer (2005-2010) which became a widely popular television show for CBS. She also starred in the Lifetime film, The Client List (2010), for which she won a Golden Globe nomination and the movie would spawn a series on Lifetime later.

In 2009, she made her foray into comic books as an author and also published The Day I Shot Cupid (2010) where she spoke of her experiences with love and dating.

2010-Present

Hewitt starred alongside Betty White in the Hallmark Hall of Fame film, The Lost Valentine (2011).

She continued with the success of The Client List (2012-2013) on Lifetime for another year.

Hewitt then appeared as Agent Kate Callahan in Criminal Minds from 2014-2015. Hewitt became pregnant with her second child during the production of the season and left the show with the possibility of further appearances left open.

Since 2004, Hewitt has remained inactive in the music industry, but 2013, she recorded a cover of “I’m a Woman” to promote the second season of The Client List and shot a music video for the song, which reached the top ten in the iTunes Music Video chart.

After an incredible rise of professional eSports leagues forming all around the globe over the past year; EA Sports and Major League Soccer announced today that they would be creating the eMLS, a professional eSports League dedicated to FIFA 18. 

The eMLS, designed like last year’s NBA 2K League, will bring together Pro Gamers from around the globe to fight for glory in the first FIFA eWorld Cup! Not to be confused with the real FIFA World Cup, which does take place this year in Russia, the eWorld Cup will bring together nineteen teams modeled after real-world clubs represented by one player.

Each real-world club is tasked with picking the player to represent their “eTeam” in the Cup; the clubs participating in the league are:

The only MLS club to have an eSports player on their roster is the New York City FC, and we can expect to see the club using Chris Holly in the eMLS League this season! With the meteoric rise in eSports leagues and competitions forming, it is smart for the MLS and EA Sports to get in on the action with the eMLS League. According to VGChartz.com, FIFA 18 has sold over 7 million copies worldwide so with a significant player base like this it is clear that the eMLS will have an audience!

In the press release announcing the league, President and Managing Director for the MLS, Gary Stevensen said, “This step forward into competitive gaming is a key component in our partnership with EA SPORTS to promote deeper engagement and connections between MLS supporters and the millions of FIFA players around the world.” Also in the press release Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Competitive Gaming Division, Todd Sitrin says, “We engage millions of soccer fans daily through FIFA and attract much more who view our competitions around the world. With the eMLS we accelerate our growth as players compete on the road to the FIFA eWorld Cup 2018.”

While we still don’t know the official start date for the league, it is also interesting to note that it has not been confirmed if players will receive paying salaries and benefits like other eSports leagues such as the NBA 2K League and the Overwatch League. After graduation in Winter 2018, Madalynn hopes to join the peace corps to help advocate for women’s health in third world countries and specifically wants to go to Africa.  This spring semester she hopes to work a lot to save up money for trips to Mardi Gras, Vegas, Carolina Country Music Fest, Lollapalooza, Warped Tour, and any other events around her interests. Her new years resolution was  to be more strict on her vegan diet and to take better care of her mental health.  She has recently gotten into kick boxing and enjoying it a lot!

Sean Payton is one of the top coaches in the NFL.

He’s won a ton of games with Drew Brees in New Orleans and even took home a Super Bowl. The Saints had defeated the Carolina Panthers in the Wild Card round and were taking on the Minnesota Vikings in Minnesota. Fast forward to the 4th Quarter; the Saints had just taken the lead after a 43-yard field goal by Will Lutz with 25 seconds left. All they had to is hold Case Keenum and the Vikings out of FG range, and they move onto the NFC Championship game. The Saints looked like they had secured the win. With only 9 seconds left in the game from their own 39, it seemed like only a miracle could stop the Saints from marching on. Sean Payton certainly thought the game was over! He was caught on camera mocking the Skol, which is the celebration for the Vikings.

For those of you who were watching the game, you know how it ended. I couldn’t think of anther situation where karma was so instant. For those of you who didn’t watch, ill show you the video.

This was one of the craziest plays of all time and the first ever 4th quarter walk-off touchdown in NFL Playoff history. The Saints were one guy keeping his head up and making a tackle from not only moving onto the next round but that is the whole thing being a nonstory. The facts of the matter are that Sean Payton got caught celebrating early and they lost if they had won I guarantee most people wouldn’t even bat an eye. No one will forget this play for a long time and I know Sean Payton will think twice before celebrating early again!

Kim Kardashian may have the most famous Instagram account in the world as she has essentially made a career off of perfecting the art of the “selfie”.

With over 4,000 posts and 106 million followers, Kim K has one of the most active Instagram pages in the world. Kardashian first rose to fame over a decade ago after the release of her adult film tape with R&B singer Ray J. That same year,  Kim and her family began to appear in the E! reality television series Keeping Up with the Kardashians, which still is on the air today. The show’s  success soon led to the creation of spin-offs including Kourtney and Kim Take New York and Kourtney and Khloé Take Miami.

Kardashian’s personal life has been the subject of tabloid news, as she has dated NBA players, rappers, and musicians. Kardashian has been married to rapper Kanye West since 2013. The two have three children together — a daughter named North, a son named Saint, and a third daughter born via surrogate.

Rick Pitino, the former head basketball coach a the University of Louisville, has sued the school for $37.6 million, claiming the university breached his contract by placing him on unpaid administrative leave without notice and then firing him last month with “no legally justified cause.”

Back in October of 2017, Pitino was fired following an FBI investigation into bribery and fraud in college basketball related to the steering of recruits to Adidas, sports agents and financial advisers. While Pitino claims he was unaware of any alleged payment from a Cardinals assistant to the family of Brian Bowen during the recruiting process, he was fired nonetheless.

“(Pitino) had no part whatsover in any scheme to pay the family of a UL recruit, or to otherwise improperly provide benefits to any recruit, as an inducement to join the basketball program,” said Steve Pence, Pitino’s lawyer, said in a statement.

Furthermore, following the FBI investigation, the University of Louisville announced that that Bowen, a freshman, will not be allowed to play for the school but can transfer to another if he wants.

The lawsuit states that the board’s actions violated his employment contract in two ways — first, during his suspension in September and again when he was fired in October.

In September, Pitino was “effectively fired” without proper notice, according to the lawsuit. The coach was placed on unpaid leave, locked out of his office and had access to his university email blocked. The lawsuit also alleges the university had no justification to fire Pitino “for cause” in October and failed to fix the breach within 30 days despite being notified of the breach by the coach. Claims made in a lawsuit represent only one side of the case.

Pitino is seeking $4.3 million a year — the value of his contract — from the date of the school’s last payment through its end in June 2026, or the value of his actual losses, which includes his personal Adidas contract. Adidas terminated its personal services contract with Pitino after he was fired. Pitino also filed a federal lawsuit against Adidas in October, alleging that the company deliberately damaged his reputation. The apparel company asked for the lawsuit to be dismissed this week.

John Karman, a spokesman for the University of Louisville, said the university is aware of the lawsuit, but declined to comment due to university policy.

Louisa Anna Turpin had been identified as the mother of 13 malnourished children who were chained to beds in a Perris, California home. Riverside County sheriff’s deputies arrived after one of the children, a 17-year-old, escaped and called 911.

According to reports, The Turpins have lived in Perris since 2014, and all of the children, ranging in age from 2 to 29, were homeschooled. Investigators have yet to determine how long the children had been living in those conditions. When Sheriff’s deputies arrived, they gave food and water to the children, who said they were “starving.” They were transported to hospitals for treatment and their conditions were not released.

Furthermore, investigators said that there was no “immediate information” to suggest sexual abuse and that there was “no indication of mental illness” in the Turpin family.

The 17-year-old girl called 911 from a de-activated cell phone after she escaped through a window, Fellows said. The teen showed deputies photos of the conditions in the home that led them to respond to the residence and interview David and Louise Turpin.

The grandparents of the children told ABC News that David and Louise were deeply religious and believed God had called on them to have so many kids. Fellows, however, said he had no information on any religious organization that may have played a role in the parents’ motives for the abuse of the children.

According to Fellows, the condition of the chained-up, malnourished children and the filthy home were a shock to investigators. “There was a very foul smell inside the residence. It was extremely dirty,” said Fellows.

The Sheriff’s office did not indicate how long the siblings had been held captive.

The parents of the children, Louise, 49, and David Allen Turpin, 57, were both arrested on nine counts each of torture and child endangerment and were being held in jail with bail set at $9 million each.

In wake of one of the best weekends of football, we will see all years Aaron Rodgers still found his name in the news. Danica Patrick confirmed that the two were in a relationship by telling the Associated Press “Yes, Aaron and I are dating,”. They two met during the ESPYs way back in 2012 and she told him ” I’d always root for him as a player.” So it seems that there was some interest from the very first meeting.

Aaron Rodgers missed most of this NFL season with a broken, but he showed no signs of rust in his game by getting with Danica Patrick. Like seriously good for A-A-Ron because Danica is hottttt! Maybe even hotter than his ex-girlfriend Olivia Munn. Danica is also coming out of a relationship, she just split after five years with Ricky Stenhouse Jr. This is for sure one of sports top power couples! One of the NFL’s top QB’s and the first female NASCAR driver is a match made in heaven.

Danica Patrick is planning on retirement after what she calls the ‘Danica Double’ which is the Daytona 500 and the Indianapolis 500 in May. She has begun to work on her personal brand and began promoting her fitness book to jumpstart her post-racing career. Rodgers, on the other hand, is looking to redeem a letdown season and this might be just the confidence boost he needs to come back better than ever.

There is one downside to this relationship, Danica is a lifelong Bears fan which if you don’t follow sports is the bitter rival of the Green Bay Packers who Aaron plays QB for. When the Associated Press asked about who she would root for in the upcoming season “Now I am probably going to cheer for the whole team,” she added “Take out the word ‘probably.’ Now I’m going to cheer for the whole team.” It looks like the Packers gained a gorgeous new fan for the upcoming season. This all just proves Aaron Rodgers is a straight up winner because when he isn’t winning on the field, he’ll make sure he’s winning off of it.

Clemson vs. North Carolina is usually not a very good basketball game. In most years UNC has been far superior in terms of talent compared to Clemson who isn’t traditionally known for being a basketball school. Clemson has been rolling as of late with wins over Miami, Louisville, and Boston College in their last five games and is looking to put another notch under their belt with a victory over the Tar Heels. North Carolina had a stumble suffering back to back losses at the beginning of the month but have regained momentum winning their last two games.

Clemson (15-2) has come out of nowhere and has proven time in and time out they’re not a team to sleep on and has earned their #20 ranking. Clemson is lead by all upperclassmen with their starting lineup consisting of three juniors and two seniors. Elijah Thomas has shown the most significant improvement showing real skill at being a rim protector and an overall defensive stud. He leads the Tigers with 2.6 blocks and 7.9 rebounds and just under one steal per game. Clemson is currently sitting in 2nd in the ACC standings at 4-1 conference record sitting only one game behind Virginia who is 5-0 in conference play. I think Clemson will have to come with a lot of energy and a good game plan to beat North Carolina in Chapel Hill.

North Carolina (14-4) is coming off a thrilling one-point victory over the Fighting Irish in South Bend.  Walk on turned superstar Luke Maye was unreal making plays on both sides of the court to bring the Tar Heels back from down 6 with 1:30 left in the game to win 69-68. With Roy Williams still captaining the ship, UNC will always be a force to be reckoned with. The Tar Heels are not as talented as they usually are losing a lot of last years team in the previous NBA Draft. UNC still has Joel Berry II who has been a rock for them at point guard once again this year. Berry has been great in terms of running the offense and getting the right man the ball and finishing when needed, but despite being second on the team in points per game, Berry has shot an uncharacteristic .391% from the field. He will have to find his shooting stroke if UNC is going to take down the Tigers on their home court.
