An Idaho high school basketball coach/teacher’s assistant has been arrested after being accused of sexual battery on a minor, according to police. Ann Kuroki, 26, was apprehended by the Gooding County Police Department for the alleged sexual battery against a child 16 or 17 years of age, according to KMVT-TV. If convicted, Kuroki may be sentenced to life in prison or up to 25 years behind bars, depending on the violation.

Kuroki was fired by Idaho city’s school district following the arrest. She had formerly worked at Gooding High School. The city of Gooding is roughly 100 miles southeast of the state capital, Boise.

What Happened?

The former teacher’s assistant/basketball coach is currently being held without bail at the Gooding County Jail on a felony child molestation charge, according to online records. The Gooding County Sheriff’s Office says that Kuroki was booked into the jail Friday night.

On Wednesday, the Gooding County Police Department began an investigation into the 26-year-old after learning that she “could be having a relationship with a male student,” according to KMVT-TV.

Gooding Police Chief Dave Fisher reported that the accused Ann Kuroki was fired by the school district on Thursday morning. The school district also claimed to have launched their own investigation into the matter.

Kuroki is scheduled to appear in court this Monday for her arraignment, according to KMVT-TV.

According to an agenda posted by the Gooding Joint School District’s Board of Trustees, Kuroki’s employment at Gooding High School will be officially terminated at a Monday night meeting.

If convicted, Kuroki faces up to 25 years to life in prison depending on the classification of the sexual battery charge.

According to Idaho state law, the crime regarding sexual battery of a minor who is 16 or 17 years of age becomes a felony “for any person at least five (years of age older than a minor child who is sixteen or seventeen years of age, who, with the intent of arousing, appealing to or gratifying the lust, passion, or sexual desires of such person, minor child, or third party,” to

“(a) Commit any lewd or lascivious act or acts upon or with the body or any part or any member thereof of such minor child including, but not limited to, genital-genital contact, oral-genital contact, anal-genital contact, oral-anal contact, manual-anal contact or manual-genital contact, whether between persons of the same or opposite sex, or who shall involve such minor child in any act of explicit sexual conduct as defined in section 18-1507, Idaho Code; or
(b) Solicit such minor child to participate in a sexual act; or
(c) Cause or have sexual contact with such minor child, not amounting to lewd conduct as defined in paragraph (a) of this subsection; or
(d) Make any photographic or electronic recording of such minor child.”

Accoridng to state law, if she violates subsection (A) then she faces up to life in prison. However, if Kuroki is found guilty of subsections (B), (C) and (D) then she will face up to 25 years in prison. At this moment, it isn’t known what subsction the 26-year-old will be charged under.

If you go to the Golden Globes and don’t Instagram the entire night, did you actually go to the Golden Globes?

The 75th annual Golden Globe Award ceremony was filled with some of today’s greatest celebrities. They were all there and ready to document the whole night on their Instagrams for all their fans to see.

The Golden Globes honors the best of film and television and all of the hottest celebrities are there to witness it. Although we can’t all be there to see it ourselves, we can live vicariously through the glamorous Instagram photos, right?

Many of the celebrities that attended the Golden Globes took the night as a chance to stand together in support of the Time Is Up movement. Time Is Up refers to standing up for women and men who have been silenced by discrimination or abuse. Celebrities like Nick Jonas, Dakota Johnson, Mandy Moore and so many others wore black in support of the cause.

Kerry Washington took the red carpet and talked about how honored she was to be able to stand up for such a great cause.

Ricky Martin posted a photo on Instagram using #TimeIsUp, a hashtag created to support the cause. The hashtag also was trending the entire night during the Golden Globes.

If you’re anything like me, you can’t bear to miss any celebrity news. Thanks to us, now you won’t have too! We’ve gathered some of the best celebrity Instagram photos from the 2018 Golden Globes and put them in this article. You’re welcome.

The 75th annual Golden Globes Award ceremony honored the best in film and television in 2017. Broadcasted live from The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA, the show did not disappoint.

If you’re anything like me, award shows can sometimes bore you. They aren’t always the most exciting events in some cases. What never gets old, however, is watching the endless beautiful (and some not so beautiful) red carpet looks from the event.

Many people thought the Golden Globes red carpet was boring due to all of the black dresses seen during the night. Dakota Johnson, a presenter for the event, stunned in a black gown along with many others. Ricky Martin walked the red carpet in all black as well.

Some of the celebrities seen on the red carpet are coming together and supporting the #TimeIsUp movement. #TimeIsUp is a movement meant to show support for women and men who have been silenced by sexual harassment, discrimination or abuse. Some celebrities on the red carpet are wearing black to support this movement.

Nick Jonas, Mandy Moore, and so many other celebrities walked the red carpet decked out in black, although not everyone spoke out about their reasons.

Kerry Washington walked the red carpet dressed in black and discussed how proud she was to be able to stand up for a cause like Time Is Up.

Although a lot of people are taking this movement as a political one, the celebrities on the red carpet of the Golden Globes seem to be using it just as a way to stand together for something that is important to everyone.

No matter who you are, luring around on Instagram looking at everyone’s red carpet looks never gets old, right? Maybe that’s just me. Either way, here’s a bunch of the best Golden Globes red carpet photos for you to enjoy.

Sally Hawkins won hearts as Elisa Esposito in Guillermo del Toro’s The Shape of Water, but she has been a prominent actress for years. With the film nominated for various categories in the 2018 Golden Globes, she certainly becoming more well-known, but she has had an impressive career already and a surprising net worth.

Sally Hawkins Net Worth: $3 Million

Sally Hawkins’ net worth is around $3 million. With a career that has manifested on stage, radio, television and film, she’s certainly earned it. I don’t want to give too much away, but who else can boast that their breakout role was in a Star Wars film?

The Early Years

Hawkins was born in the Dulwich borough of London and raised Blackheath borough of The City of London. The daughter of children’s book writers, she grew up in a creative environment. Inspired by high school drama classes, she enrolled into the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) based in London in 1994 and graduated in 1998. While still a student, she was cast as an extra in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace.

2002-2008

Starting her career with small roles on television and stage, her first major on-screen performance was the 2002 film, All or Nothing. She also gained recognition in 2007 in a television adaptation of Jane Austen’s Persuasion, earning a Golden Nymph. At this time, she also appeared in the Woody Allen film, Cassandra’s DreamThe following year, she appeared in the film Happy-Go-Lucky, earning her a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Motion Picture Musical or Comedy and the Silver Bear for Best Actress.

2010-2014

At the start of the decade, she appeared in three films, Made in Dagenham, Submarine and Never Let Me Go, that premiered at the 2010 Toronto International Film Festival. In 2013, she appeared in another Woody Allen film, Blue Jasmine, with Cate Blanchett, earning an Academy Award nomination; the same year, she starred in All Is Bright. In 2014, she appeared in Godzilla.

2015-Present

In November 2014, she portrayed matriarch in Paddington, a film adaptation of the well-known children’s bear character, a part she reprised in the 2017 sequel. She also starred in Guillermo del Toro’s The Shape of Water; her character in the film,  Elisa Esposito, was mute beyond an imagined musical sequence. Hawkins had been nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture in the Drama category for the role, with the film being nominated for at least 7 other categories.

Logan Paul Instagram: Must-See Photos Of YouTube Star

$

0

Logan Paul is an infamous video blogger who has offended many online for the “suicide forest” video controversy, plus a more recent video compilation that is being labeled as “insensitive to Japenese culture” on a scale reminiscent to Jesse Watters’ visit to Chinatown in New York City. The 22-year-old has a massive YouTube following with over 15 million subscribers. He also has millions of followers on social media, over 16 million on Instagram and over 4 million on Twitter.

Mr. Paul’s suicide video controversy may be the biggest story of 2018 (so far). The video showed Paul encountering a dead body hanging from a tree at the Aokigahara Forrest also known as the “suicide forest” or the “Sea of Trees,” a forest at the base of Mount Fuji in Japan. The dead body was a man who had recently committed suicide. Paul’s video has been criticized for being tone-deaf to suicide victims.

“Top one, this is the craziest thing I’ve ever seen in my life. I’m ain’t going to be sober for this s**t. I’m gonna drink this Japanese sake. Me smiling and laughing is not a portrayal of how I feel about the circumstances. Everyone deals with s**t differently. If you guys haven’t noticed,I cope with things by humor. While this is incredibly sad, I’ve said it a thousands times this is crazy,” Paul says in the video.

His video inspired a petition on Change.org to remove his YouTube channel, which has received over 362,000 signatures as of Sunday evening.

On Tuesday, January 2nd, Paul took to Twitter to apologize for “a severe and continuous lapse in (his) judgment.”

If 2018 wasn’t already rough enough for Logan Paul, the vlogger has provoked even more outrage when a compilation video surfaced online showing him being “culturally insensitive” during his time in Japan.

In the video released on Friday by the YouTuber site, We The Unicorns, Logan Paul is seen running around the streets of Japan, sometimes wearing a stereotypical robe and rice hat or a Pikachu outfit while throwing Pokeballs at the local people. He called the city of Toyko “a real-life cartoon.” A running joke/motif is the phrase, “I just gotta be careful to not, like, disrespect the culture,” which is occasionally said in President Trump’s voice.

Who Is Logan Paul?

Instagram Photo

Logan Paul was born on April 1, 1995, in Westlake, Ohio. He’s a vlogger and actor with a crazy amount of social media followers and YouTube subscribers. He’s starred in the YouTube films The Thinning and its sequel The Thinning 2. He’s also appeared in a numerous amount of films, including Where’s the Money, The Space Between Us, Chainsaw, Superstition: The Rule of 3’s, and much more. He’s also appeared on the Fox comedy series Weird Loners, and a 2015 episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. He also received a starring role in two episodes of the Freeform series Stitchers.

Courtney Faye Roland, a reporter for the Texas A&M’s Rivals.com and AggieYell.com, went missing Saturday after she covered a report on the Texas elite football camp tryouts in the Houston area. Initially, friends say that Roland was last seen at around 4 P.M., reportedly wearing a Remington hat and camouflage. Another report suggests that Roland was last seen Sunday afternoon in the Houston Galleria area. Roland is a 29-year-old white female who drives a 2015 white Jeep Cherokee with a license plate of HZC 7778. According to family members, her last text message was sent out at about 12:30 A.M. on Sunday.

Update (1/8/2018; 9:51 A.M. EST): Roland’s father reports that his 29-year-old daughter has been found. He told KHOU 11 News that police found his missing daughter unharmed. She has reportedly been taken to a hospital for evaluation. The night before, officers discovered Courtney’s white Jeep Cherokee alone in a parking lot. They also said that they found her purse at a nearby business.

Friends of the missing woman say that she texted her roommate, saying that she was being followed by a “suspicious man” at a Walgreens in Houston Heights. Brian Perroni, a recruiting insider for 247Sports, tweeted that Roland was spotted on Sunday afternoon in the Houston Galleria area. According to the tweet, she was seen wearing an orange Remington hat and a camo fleece.

Perroni has not provided any more information as he said that he doesn’t want to compromise the mission. He is reported to be with the Roland family as this story develops.

What Happened?

Courtney Roland’s friend, Autumn Vara, took to Facebook to write, “Hi guys, as of 1/7/18 we have filed a missing persons report for Courtney Roland. She was last confirmed seen 1/6/18 at 4 pm leaving football camp in Houston. The last communication was via text at 12:30 am 1/7/18. She was worried that she was being followed by a blue truck leaving Walgreens, location unknown. Last heard wearing Remington hat and camo and in a white Jeep Cherokee. PLEASE SHARE and reach out to any of us or missing persons at 832-394-1840. Prayers out to her family during this difficult time.”

Vara spoke with KPRC-TV and told them that Courtney had texted her saying that the “suspicious man” followed her home in a blue truck. When Roland parked in her drive, the suspicious man reportedly looped around and parked right behind her. When Roland exited her vehicle, the blue truck reportedly sped off and that was the last time Vara heard from her friend. She was supposed to meet up with Roland that night, but she hasn’t heard from her since receiving that text message about the “suspicious man.”

According to Vara, Roland’s vehicle had been broken into about six months ago, and as a result of Roland “has been on high alert since.”

Earlier Saturday, Courtney was at a tryout for Team Texas Elite, a travel football club, which is located at The Village School, 2005 Gentryside Drive, in Houston. The team sent out a tweet on Sunday evening following her disappearance, writing “Folks if any had seen Courtney Roland with Rivals we need to know… last seen at TTE tryouts at 4:10 pm.”

Although, the team said she left in an Uber. A friend of Courtney clarified that she used an Uber earlier in the day and was driving her SUV later on that night when she was followed by a “suspicious” man in a blue truck.

“She got in an Uber around 4 pm and after that went to a Walgreens on 20th and Yale in her own car around midnight,” according to her friend, Courtney Cockrell’s Facebook account.

Friends initially reported that Courtney was last seen at the tryouts. But new information is suggesting that Courtney was last seen in the Houston Galleria area Sunday afternoon.

A friend by the name of Gabe Bock, wrote on Twitter, “My goodness. Courtney Roland is a wonderful person and I’m hoping and praying like crazy for some good news. One of the really sweet, truly great people in our industry and a great Aggie.”

Roland’s mother, Cindy Snead Roland, spoke with KPRC-TV about a strange text message she received from Courtney’s phone on Sunday. The message reportedly said, “hello the owner of this phone Courtney. I am buying an iPad.”

A missing person’s report was filed for Courtney Faye Roland at about 4 P.M. on Sunday.

Anyone with information regarding Courtney Faye Roland’s whereabouts, please contact the Houston Police at 832-394-1840.

David Bowie, Documentary

Towards the end of his life, David Bowie produced two groundbreaking albums and a musical. While many documentaries would look at an artist from the very start, the HBO documentary, David Bowie: The Last Five Years, took inspiration from Bowie reinventing his career towards his last few years and made it the focus.

This isn’t to say that director Francis Whately entirely ignored Bowie’s early life. In fact, the piece is intended to be a follow-up to his previous 2013 documentary, David Bowie: Five Years, reflecting the artist’s life during the 1970’s and early 1980’s.

As mentioned, three major projects are the focus this time around: Bowie’s last two albums, The Next Day and Blackstar, and the musical, Lazarus, inspired by the 1976 film The Man Who Fell to Earth, in which Bowie appeared in.

Viewers can also expect to see excerpts from Bowie hits like “Fame,” “Rebel Rebel,” “‘Heroes’” and “Space Oddity,” as well as music and studio performances from the final projects.

In an interview with Variety, Whately described the inspiration for the project, realizing that Bowie’s last years often got ignored by the mainstream:

“When David passed away, the BBC showed the full 90-minute version of [“Five Years”] — which I gather has been seen by 100 million people, which is incredible — and they asked if we could do something new. At first I thought, ‘I don’t know whether there’s anything new to be done,’ but then I thought the last five years of his life were fairly fascinating and I didn’t think anyone else would approach that. The BBC gave me carte blanche, really, to make the film I wanted to make — but yes, it was tricky.”

With Whately serving as director, Phil Dolling serves as executive producer and Ged Murphy serves as the film editor on the project.

University of Pennsylvania student, Blaze Bernstein, has been missing since he walked into the Whiting Ranch Wilderness Area on Tuesday, January 2, 2018. He had just returned home to Foothill Ranch, California, following the conclusion of the fall semester. The student’s disappearance remains a mystery. A major search effort has been initiated by law enforcement, while friends and family have set up a Facebook page in the hopes to find the missing pre-med student. The family of Bernstein has also used private drones in an attempt to track him down. But so far, no one has found Blaze Bernstein.

The friends and family of 19-year-old Blaze Bernstein don’t have a clue why he wanted to go inside Whiting Ranch Wilderness Area and Borrego Park. “Our son, Blaze Bernstein, has been missing since the late evening of Tuesday January 2nd, 2018. He was last seen at Borrego Park near our home in Foothill Ranch, CA (Lake Forest),” Blaze’s father, Gideon Bernstein, wrote on Facebook.

The University of Pennsylvania sophomore was last seen on Tuesday, January 2, 2018. He reportedly asked a friend to drive him to the wilderness area. He also left many important belongings, such as his wallet, ID, glasses, money, and medications.

“And the fact that he didn’t tell us he was going out tells us he wasn’t planning to be gone very long,” said Bernstein’s mother. “And he left behind his wallet, ID, money, glasses and medications he takes every day.”

According to the Orange County Register, Blaze and his friend went to the wilderness park so that he could “meet a third person. The person’s identity and the reason for the meeting wasn’t known.”

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department sent out a special bulletin on January 5, labeling Blaze N. Bernstein “a missing person.” The bulletin says, Blaze Bernstein was last seen at approximately 11 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 2, entering Borrego Park in Foothill Ranch. Bernstein is in Orange County on winter break from the University of Pennsylvania. Witnesses said he met up with a friend and the two drove to Borrego Park, where the teen exited the vehicle and entered the park. The 19-year-old has not been seen or heard from since.”

Anyone with any information regarding the whereabouts of Blaze N. Bernstein is urged to call the Orange County Sheriff’s Department at 714-647-7000 or submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers at 855-TIP-OCCS.

Who is Blaze Bernstein?

Blaze N. Bernstein is a 19-year-old pre-med at the University of Pennsylvania, according to The Los Angeles Times. However, according to the Orange County Register, Blaze is a sophomore “planning to declare a major in psychology with a minor in chemistry” to pursue pre-med.

His father, Gideon Bernstein, spoke with the Orange County newspaper and told them that Blaze “recently became managing editor of the foodie magazine at the University of Pennsylvania, called Penn Appetit.”

“He is considered a missing person,” his father wrote on Facebook. “We believe that he may just be hiding / staying somewhere close by. He was with a high school friend prior to his disappearance and we believe he was planning to come back home that night since he left his wallet and glasses at home. There is no clear motive and he was in good spirits that evening.”

The Facebook page titled “Help Us Find Blaze Bernstein” describes the 19-year-old as someone who is “5’8″ and 130 lbs, with light brown hair and blue eyes. He was wearing pants, white Adidas laced tennis shoes, and a charcoal gray long-sleeved top.”

On January 7, Blaze’s father wrote an update on the Facebook page set up to help locate his son. He said that the family was on their fifth night without Blaze and that he would have looked forward to going back to school. “This is Blaze’s family. We wanted to update you on the ongoing search for Blaze. We are now on the 5th night of Blaze’s disappearance. He was supposed to fly out tomorrow morning back to UPENN in Philadelphia. We know Blaze would have loved to be on that flight back to school.”

When was the last time anyone has seen/heard from Blaze Bernstein?

Blaze Bernstein was last seen by his friend on Tuesday, January 5, 2018. He entered Whiting Ranch Wilderness Area and Borrego Park and seemingly vanished into thin air. According to The Orange County Register, Blaze last “sent a text message at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday with his family’s address so a high school friend could pick him up and take him to the park to meet the third person.”

Blaze entered the park by himself.

“Bernstein’s friend eventually began sending text messages to him when he didn’t return, but did not hear back from him… The friend left and then returned at 4 a.m. to look for Bernstein again,” according to The Orange County Register.

The newspaper noted that “the location device on Bernstein’s phone stopped functioning and the phone was turned off at 11:30 p.m.”

Trump Tower Fire NYC: Full Story & Must-See Details

New York City Firefighters are responding to a fire near the roof of New York City’s Trump Tower on Monday morning.  According to reports, the blaze began around 7 a.m. EST.  The FDNY says that the fire appeared to have originated from the heating and cooling system of Trump Tower.

Firefighters are currently working to make sure that the flames do not not spread. President Trump and the First Family were not present at the building during the fire. Reportedly, two people suffered injuries, including one man who was taken away on a stretcher after battling the rooftop fire.

Trump Tower was the home of United States President Donald Trump before he and his family moved into the White House following the 2016 Presidential Election. Eric Trump, the son of United States President Donald Trump, took to Twitter to confirm the fire, calling it “an electrical fire in a cooling tower”, while praising the men & women of the FDNY.

There was a small electrical fire in a cooling tower on the roof of Trump Tower. The New York Fire Department was here within minutes and did an incredible job. The men and women of the #FDNY are true heroes and deserve our most sincere thanks and praise!

Trump Tower is a 58-story skyscraper at 721–725 Fifth Avenue between 56th and 57th Streets in Manhattan, New York City, serving as the headquarters for The Trump Organization.  Donald Trump’s 2016 and 2020 Presidential campaigns were headquartered in the tower.

The building is home to the penthouse condominium of United States President Donald Trump, who was a businessman and real estate developer when the tower was made. Several members of the Trump family also live, or have resided, in the building. The tower stands on a plot where the flagship store of department-store chain Bonwit Teller was formerly located.

Construction on  Trump Tower began in 1979, with the atrium, apartments, offices, and stores opening between February and November 1983.

Must-See Photos & Videos of the Trump Tower Fire

Residents took to social media to post their own amateur photos and videos of the fire. Here is just one video, taken from street-level view, showing the large mounds of smoke flowing from the roof of Trump Tower.

Twitter user, Susan D. Ball, captured an image of a large amount of smoke emanating from Trump Tower and clouding the air. There’s a whole lot of smoke in this photo…

Firefighters are trying their best to put out those flames. The twitter account of Boston 25 News released images of these firefighters on the roof of Trump Tower.

Smoke was pouring out the top of Trump Tower. Here’s a video from Twitter user NYCBMD who is filming the rising smoke pouring from the skyscraper. The person is filming from a street-level view and added a caption to his view written in red that said, “Trump Tower is on fire!!”

CBS This Morning provided a better view of the smoking tower. See the smoke bellow from the roof of Trump Tower from a video filmed high in the sky, thanks to a news-team helicopter.

As of this writing, two people were injured as a result of the fire at Trump Tower. President Trump and his family were not present in the building as they are currently staying in The White House in the nation’s capital of Washington DC.

Michael Jordan is regarded as the greatest basketball player of all time, and you will have a hard time finding people to disagree with that. He was the ultimate competitor, flashy, athletic and when you needed a shot, there was no other person you would turn to than Jordan.

Jordan retired from the game of basketball for 14 years, but his presence is still felt by players who emulate his many iconic moves or to the players who rock his very iconic kicks.

In 1984 Nike gave a young Jordan a five-year contract for $500,000 per year, which he grew into what is now a Jordan Brand Empire. There is an abundance of star players across multiple sports who signed with the Jordan Brand team. We are going to take a look at the top 20 Jordan Brand Athletes of all-time (besides Jordan himself). All of these athletes get/got the chance to wear signature Air Jordan’s with exclusive colorways, signature Jumpman sneakers, and for a select few their very own Jordan Brand model.

20 Eddie Jones

Eddie Jones began his career in Hollywood with the Los Angeles Lakers where he would earn two NBA All-Star appearances. But he was also one of the first athletes/endorsers to sign with the Jordan Brand when it first launched in 1997. In that same year, Jones would average 17 points a game and make his first appearance in the NBA All-Star game.
