It has been nearly three months since pedophile Jeffrey Epstein was found dead in his jail cell. His death was ruled a suicide by hanging, but there have been plenty of theories regarding what really went down inside of his cell. Now, there will only be more questions.
In a new report, a pathologist who was hired by Epstein’s brother claims that the evidence suggests Epstein died by strangulation — which has been a common theory among conspiracists.
“I think that the evidence points to homicide rather than suicide,” Dr. Michael Baden told Fox & Friends, according to the New York Times. The evidence suggests Epstein suffered injuries “extremely unusual in suicidal hangings” and that they were “much more commonly in homicidal strangulation.”
This isn’t the first time we have heard reports of this nature.
According to reports, Epstein suffered multiple broken bones in his neck including the hyoid bone which is located near the Adam’s apple in men. The hyoid bone is described as “a horseshoe-shaped bone situated in the anterior midline of the neck between the chin and the thyroid cartilage. At rest, it lies at the level of the base of the mandible in the front and the third cervical vertebra.”
While the bone has been known to break in cases of suicide by hanging, it is generating attention because of medical experts pointing out the bone is more commonly broken in homicide cases. More specifically, experts say the hyoid bone breaking is more commonly seen in homicide by strangulation.
So let the conspiracies continue.
Just 24 hours prior to the disgraced financier and convicted pedophile being found dead in his Manhattan jail cell, court documents were unsealed that named a bunch of powerful and wealthy men including a prince and multiple politicians. There is also the fact that prison guards did not check on Epstein every 30 minutes on the night of his death despite that being a requirement.
Epstein had also recently been taken off of suicide watch, while his cellmate was transferred in the days prior to his death.
While we wait for answers, Attorney General William Barr has stated that multiple investigations have been launched as the Department of Justice attempts to get to the bottom of how Epstein passed away.
