Donald Trump has long been involved in mixed martial arts and he is good friends with UFC president Dana White. And now, it looks like the UFC boss and President of the United States could be coming face-to-face this weekend at UFC 244.
According to reports, Trump is scheduled to be in New York City to attend UFC 244 at Madison Square Garden when Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz face off for the BMF title.
“Weekend Plans: Trump is tentatively scheduled to go to NYC to attend an MMA event at Madison Square Garden on Sat night, per sources,” New York Times White House correspondent Annie Karni wrote on Twitter. “Stay over at Trump Tower. Great news for traffic on NYC Marathon Sunday.”
What a sight that would be.
Donald Trump was inducted into the New Jersey State Martial Arts Hall of Fame in 2013 and has hosted multiple events at his properties in Atlantic City. He was also a partner of Affliction Entertainment which launched its own MMA promotion that was home to heavyweight legend Fedor Emelianenko. Most recently, Trump hosted former interim champion Colby Covington and Dana White at the White House in the summer of 2018.
UFC 244: Masvidal vs. Diaz is set to go down on Saturday, November 2 as the title for Baddest Motherf*cker in the UFC is handed out. In the co-main event of the night, middleweight contenders Kelvin Gastelum and Darren Till will go toe-to-toe.
