The 2019 NBA Draft Lottery was held in Chicago, Illinois on Tuesday, May 13. All eyes were on what team would land the No. 1 overall pick which would give them the inside track to land Duke star Zion Williamson later this summer. The New York Knicks, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Phoenix Suns entered the night with the best odds to land the No. 1 pick at 14 percent.
It marked the first year that the league gave three teams equal odds for the top pick in order to avoid tanking throughout the season.
This year’s draft lottery will officially take place at 8:30 p.m. ET on ESPN.
Of course, there are always some last-minute rumors ahead of big league events, and some whispers indicated the Knicks may have their sights on packaging the No. 1 pick in a trade to the New Orleans Pelicans in exchange for perennial All-Star big man Anthony Davis.
So, when it was all said and done, who ended up with the No. 1 pick? Where did your favorite team land in the 2019 NBA Draft Lottery?
