While New York Knicks fans across the globe went into the 2019 NBA Draft Lottery hoping it was finally the night that saw the moribund franchise take a positive step towards the future — as it has been so many times throughout the years — their hope was crushed into pieces as the Knicks ended up with the third overall pick, a mere consolation prize.

As for the rest of the top four, the New Orleans Pelicans are picking first, followed by the Memphis Grizzlies, then the New York Knicks at three, with the Los Angeles Lakers at four.
