Rapper Kodak Black has been arrested on state and federal firearms charges in Miami on Saturday, May 11, according to reports. The 21-year-old’s arrest involved ATF, Miami-Dade Police Northside Gang Unit, and U.S. Marshals, according to the Miami Herald.

In mid-April, Kodak was on gun and drug charges at the United States – Canadian border after a Glock 9, pistol and marijuana was found inside of a vehicle he was occupying.

“On Wednesday, two vehicles occupied by U.S. Citizens were encountered at the Lewiston-Queenston Port of Entry. During the initial inspection, the U.S. citizens admitted to being in possession of marijuana and firearms,” authorities said at the time.

“During a secondary inspection, it was revealed that the weapons were possessed unlawfully in New York State and subsequently the marijuana, firearms and subjects were turned over to the New York State Police for further processing. U.S. Customs and Border Protection Office of Field Operations continuously works in collaboration with our law enforcement partners, which include federal, state and local agencies.”

Few details about Kodak’s most recent arrest are known at this time.

Kodak Black was scheduled to perform at the Rolling Loud music festival in Miami, but was detained before his performance and was unable to take the stage.

The news comes on the same night that Lil Wayne also announced he would no longer be performing at the festival.

“To all my fans who came to see me at Rolling Loud, I’m sorry but I won’t be performing. The Festival Police (Not Rolling Loud) made it mandatory that I had to be policed and checked to get on the stadium grounds. I do not and will not ever settle for being policed to do my job,” the rapper announced in a statement on social media.
