Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, is a big supporter of children staying active. But because of that, he has a strong opinion that isn’t going to go over well with the general public at all. During a YMCA event in West London, Prince Harry shared his thoughts on the popular Epic Games hit Fortnite and, well, it’s quite the blistering hot take.
Essentially, Prince Harry is saying that no one should be allowed to play Fortnite because it is bad for the mind.
“A game like Fortnite, for instance, may not be so good for children,” Prince Harry said, via BBC. “Parents have got their hands up, they don’t know what to do about it. It’s like waiting for the damage to be done and kids turning up on your doorsteps and families being broken.
“That game shouldn’t be allowed. It’s created to addict, an addiction to keep you in front of a computer for as long as possible. It’s so irresponsible.”
You can tell someone never finished first in a Battle Royale.
While sharing his awful takes on modern technology, Prince Harry also said that social media is “more addictive than alcohol and drugs.”
This man clearly has addiction on his mind.
As for the internet, you know that they were ready to fire back at the Duke of Sussex for his out of touch take on the popular game.
“Just heard that Prince Harry wants @FortniteGame banned in the UK,” one Twitter user joked. “Guess he couldn’t get a win? ”
Another added: “Prince Harry doesn’t want kids playing Fortnite because he would prefer kids followed his examples – getting drunk underage and then throwing up Nazi salutes at family parties while referring to friends with towels on their heads as ragheads.” Ouch
