The world shed tears for the tragedy that claimed the lives of 12 people in Thousand Oaks, California on Wednesday, November 8th, 2018. In another instance, a girl who attended also went missing. The victim was 18-year-old Alaina Housley, the niece of television star Tamera Mowry.

“Our hearts are broken. We just learned that our niece Alaina was one of the victims of last night’s shooting at Borderline bar in Thousand Oaks,” Mowry said in a statement to E! News. “Alaina was an incredible young woman with so much life ahead of her and we are devastated that her life was cut short in this manner. We thank everyone for your prayers and ask for privacy at this time.”

Alaina Housley is currently an 18 years old freshman student at Pepperdine University. She graduated from Vintage High School class of 18′ and is also a supporter of HIO Outreach, a charity that provides people with equipment required to play soccer. On her Instagram bio, she added their link.

From her Instagram posts, we can also see that she is an avid lover of fashion and modeling.

With a big heart that is open to everyone, she is also part of a family who found success in business. Her family owns a winery called Century Oak Winery and two Ranch Market grocery stores in downtown Napa.

Before the incident, Alaina Housley was also quoted in a Graphic article on Waves Weekend and alumni. “I personally like having [alumni reunions and parents’ weekend] combined because it’s cool to see all of the generations kind of coming in. But I also haven’t experienced it as a student, so that I might feel differently afterward. Like I might just want a parents’ weekend.”

Alaina was pronounced to be dead by Tamera Mowry according to CBS Los Angeles at 3:18 pm.

A gunman open-fired on a local bar in Thousand Oaks, California on November 8th that became the United State’s latest mass shooting, claiming the lives of 12 people. The shooter was found dead of a single gunshot wound,.

The suspect was a 28-year-old white man who used a .45-caliber handgun to commit this atrocious act.

Witnesses say the suspect entered the Southern California bar dressed in all black before tossing smoke grenades and firing off approximately 30 shots with his gun.

The shooting took place at Borderline Bar and Grill, which is a country-themed bar known for live music events and a large space for dancing.

Alaina Housley, a student who was at the bar during the shooting, also went missing. Her aunt, “The Real” host and “Sister, Sister” star Tamera Mowry-Housley went on to Twitter to look for information about her.

“Ashely this is her aunt Tamera Mowry Housley. Can you please DM me your information?”

According to Los Angeles Times Kimi Yoshino’s report, Housley’s Apple watch and iPhone had her location pinpointed at the bar when her friends were trying to escape the calamity that was happening. So far it has been more than 7 hours since the shooting and she still hasn’t been found.

But on 3:18pm, her aunt reported that she was confirmed to be dead, according to KTLA.
