Logan Lester landed the highlight coveted crown of Miss Texas USA 2018 and hopes to continue the proud tradition on the Miss USA stage. The 23-year-old Houston native succeeded 2017 winner Nancy Gonzalez. In recent years, Miss Texas USA has produced a first runner-up (Ylianna Guera, 2015), fourth runner-up (Ali Nugent, 2013), third runner-up (Ana Rodriguez, 2011), and Miss USA 2008 Crystle Stewart.
Lester is one of the top real estate workers in the Houston area, becoming the youngest member of the 20 under 40 list.
She launched Because Nice Matters “to spread a message of kindness and inclusion.” She also volunteers at The Ronald McDonald House and was active in helping her community recover from the devastating effects of Hurricane Harvey.
“It’s important to treat all people like they’re important and that their dreams matter,” she said following her Miss Texas USA win, via the Houston Chronicle. “My message is to be kind to people, because you never know what they’re going through.”
