Vasyl Lomachenko vs. Jorge Linares took center stage in the boxing world on Saturday, May 12, with the two boxing stars stepping into the ring at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Lomachenko was looking to add his third world title in a third division since turning pro, and he enured it was a historic night.

Lomachenko is now the WBO lightweight champion.
Linares entered the night on a 13-fight winning streak with four consecutive title defenses. However, he did not have enough to defeat the two-time Olympic gold medalist.
