A kindergarten teacher at Rocky Creek Elementary in Henry County, GA was arrested after the Flint Circuit Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at her home in Locust Grove.

During their search, task force members discovered about four pounds of marijuana packaged for resale, more than 20 THC oil vape pens, and several ecstasy pills.

Natalie Pignataro was arrested for possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of ecstasy and possession of a Schedule I (THC Oil) substance with intent to distribute. After she was booked, she was released on $35,150 bond.

According to a bio on the Henry County Schools’ website, Natalie and her husband Joel have two children, ages 9 and 10.

Joel Pignataro was not present during the search, but now has outstanding warrants for the same crimes as his wife.

Henry County School spokesman J.D. Hardin said there is no indication that Pignataro did anything wrong on school grounds.

“All teachers must pass a criminal background check before being allowed to teach in Henry County Schools,” Hardin said.

Hardin confirmed that Pignataro is on leave while her case is being adjudicated.
