Georgina Chapman, born April 14, 1976, is an English fashion designer, actress, and co-founder of the fashion label Marchesa. Chapman founded Marchesa along with former model and actress Keren Craig. Marchesa is named after socialite Marchesa Luisa Casati.
Born in London, England, Chapman grew up in Richmond and attended Marlborough College in Wiltshire. In her 20s, Chapman modeled in an ad for Head & Shoulders shampoo and one for throat lozenges Soothers.
In 2004, Chapman began dating Hollywood executive Harvey Weinstein after he became divorced from his first wife. Weinstein and Chapman got married on December 15, 2007 in Connecticut. Chapman gave birth to the couple’s first child, daughter India Pearl, on August 30, 2010, and their second child, a boy named Dashiell Max Robert, on April 11, 2013.
In 2012, Chapman was featured as a judge on the premiere of Project Runway: All Stars. She reprised her role as a judge for the first five seasons of the show.
On October 10, 2017, Chapman announced that she was leaving her husband Harvey Weinstein after numerous allegations of sexual assault.
