‘Legion’ FX Stream: Watch Season 1, Episode 2 Online

Legion, FX’s trippy new superhero drama set in the X-Men universe, premiered last week and continues tonight at 10:00 P.M. EST.

Created by Fargo showrunner Noah Hawley, the new series takes place somewhere in the X-Men films’ continuity. The series focuses not on Wolverine or Professor X, but a lesser known mutant with extraordinary abilities named David Haller, who is desperately trying to figure out whether or not he’s insane.

Legion follows the story of Haller (played by Downton Abbey’s Dan Stevens), a mental patient who has been diagnosed with schizophrenia, who falls in love with a fellow patient, Syd Barrett (Rachel Keller), who then disappears under suspicious circumstances. Not only that, but Haller also discovers that after years of unexplained occurrences, hallucinations, nightmares, and visions, some of what he imagines may actually be reality.

Official Legion Synopsis:

David Haller is a troubled young man who was diagnosed with schizophrenia as a child. He has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals for years and, now in his early 30s, finds himself institutionalized again. His daily routine — including therapy, taking medications and silently listening to talkative friend Lenny — is upended when troubled new patient Syd arrives, and they are inexplicably drawn to each other. After a startling encounter between the two, David confronts the possibility that the voices he hears and visions he sees may be real. He escapes from the hospital and seeks refuge with sister Amy, who wants to protect the picture-perfect suburban life she has established for herself. Syd eventually gets David involved with therapist Melanie Bird and her team of specialists, who open his eyes to a new world of possibilities.

So far, Legion has received widespread acclaim from all sorts of publications, so make sure you find out how to live stream it below!

Justin Bieber Is Reportedly A Suspect In An Assault Investigation

Way back in June, we brought you the story of Justin Bieber getting in a fight outside of a Cleveland Hotel.

Well, turns out that fight may have been a little more serious than we originally believed, as Bieber has reportedly been named in a police report for the alleged assault.

Apparently, the alleged victim, who looked as though he was twice Bieber’s size, says he had to go to the hospital due to various injuries, including a concussion.

via TMZ:

Law enforcement sources in Cleveland tell us Bieber is now the suspect in an incident back in June … an incident captured on video showing Bieber fighting a guy after a Cavaliers playoff game.

The alleged victim told cops Justin grabbed his sunglasses. The guy then took a pic of Justin with the shades, which he says enraged the singer and sent him into attack mode. He claims Bieber’s crew then got in on the action.

However, TMZ’s sources say that no charges have been officially filed against Bieber yet, as Cleveland police are still investigating.

Barbara Palvin Gets Wet For 2017 ‘Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue’

This will be the last of my posts on the 2017 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue today. I know, I know, it’s some heartbreaking stuff, but all good things must come to an end. Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened. And to wrap things up today, we’ve got the lovely Barbara Palvin. Talk about a grand finale.

Barbara is a 23-year-old model from Budapest, Hungary, and this marks her second ever appearance in a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. She made her impact felt in her debut in 2016, bringing home the coveted Rookie of the Year honors.

Barbara might go from Rookie of the Year to MVP in her second season, à la what Kris Bryant just did for Chicago Cubs. I don’t think I’ve ever been so turned on by a woman in a comically oversized beach hat in my entire life. That’s how you make lemonade out of lemons. Barbara is going to be a force to be reckoned with for years to come.

Every time I write abut Nicki Minaj, I always make sure to include the following: while I’m a relatively confident dude, at the end of the day, I know if the opportunity to smash Nicki Minaj ever presented itself to me, I’d be severely sexually outclassed and would be in way over my head.

Kinda like a toddler playing the piano –I’d pushing random buttons with no particular rhyme or reason, thinking I was making beautiful music, but in reality, I’m actually just completely embarrassing myself.

Now that we’ve gotten my Nicki Minaj-article-disclaimer out of the way, we can get to the topic at hand: that Nicki’s been LIGHTING UP Instagram ever since dumping Meek Mill’s whack ass.

And just when we thought she couldn’t possibly top herself, she does exactly that.

And since your here, enjoy the greatest video uploaded to Instagram, probably ever.

We’ve got a must-see ACC showdown on tap tonight, as the Duke Blue Devils will travel to Charlottesville to take on the Virginia Cavaliers. This will be the first and only scheduled meeting between two teams that are sure to be popular picks to go deep into March Madness brackets.

Tonight’s game will have an interesting clash of styles, as Virginia is the best team in the country at playing defense, and Duke boasts a high-octane offense. Virginia only gives up 55.1 points per game (1st in NCAA), while Duke scores 81.9 points per game (22nd in NCAA).

The #14 ranked Cavaliers (18-6, 8-4 ACC) will look to bounce back from a disappointing road loss to in-state rival Virginia Tech. This past Sunday, the Hokies edged out an 80-78 victory over Virginia in a double-overtime thriller. While Virginia is coming off a loss, the #12 ranked Blue Devils (20-5, 8-4 ACC) are red hot. They’ve won their last five games, including victories at #20 Notre Dame and at home over #8 UNC.

Now that you know a little bit about the matchup, let’s break down all of the ways you can watch the game.

Louisiana High School Coach Bans Alabama From Recruiting At His School

Man, those Southerners do not f*ck around when it comes to their college football. You always here that football is basically a religion in the SEC, but you don’t really understand the scope of it unless you experience it first hand, or, you read a story like this one.

In an interview with 104.5 ESPN, Parkway High School head coach David Feaster revealed that he will not let Alabama coaches on his campus for any reason, especially recruiting.

“LSU’s welcome in my school anytime,” Feaster said in the interview. “The only school that can’t come to Parkway is Alabama. And there’s a long story behind that, but it had to do with not being ethical in their recruiting.”

Now, before you jump down this dude’s throat (like I was ready to) for intentionally hindering the potential futures of his players due to some stupid rivalry, think again. Feaster actually has a totally decent and respectable reason.

via CBSSports:

So what’s that long story? Well, Feaster says it is because of Alabama’s recruitment of Parkway quarterback Brandon Harris a few years ago. Feaster talked about the way former Alabama offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier and then-receiver coach Billy Napier recruited his star quarterback.

“They love the guy,” Feaster said. “(They say), ‘Hey, coach, we want to offer Brandon.’ I said, ‘OK, good. How many quarterbacks have you offered so far?’ (They said) ‘about 6 or 7.’ So I said, ‘So you really haven’t offered anybody.’ (They said), ‘Well, coach, an offer from us at quarterback is really an offer to come to camp.’ I said, ‘OK, I understand what you’re saying. You are offering these kids to meet Nick Saban. It’s a big deal and he might go. But what I am telling Brandon is you only have so much money and so much time to spend, go to the schools that have you atop the boards.”

You’re telling me that Nick Saban’s recruiting methods are arrogant and douchey? No kidding. What a shocker.

The New ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ Rumors Are LIT AF

$

Living in the age of the internet can really blow sometimes. Despite Skype and Netflix and porn and Google and the cloud and all the other revolutionary services the world wide web provides us, the internet can be a dangerous place. And I’m not even talking about the dark web.

I’m talking about f*cking spoilers. We’ve all been a victim of spoilers. There you are, minding your own business scrolling through Twitter or Facebook or whatever bullshit social media application you’re using. Maybe you’re looking for a funny video of a dog kicking it’s own in the dick to watch while you sit on the bowl. And then, like a quarterback getting blindsided, a spoiler works it’s way into your eyesight. The worst part about spoilers are that when you come across them, your brain can somehow process information at a faster rate than ever before, and before you know it you’ve ingested all the information involuntarily.

So, as a man who’s had too many movies and television shows ruined at the hand of another, I’m going to put THREE GIFs between the end of this sentence and the Star Wars rumors to avoid practicing exactly what I preach against.

Ready?

Okay, are we clear you idiots? This post contains spoilers.

Go ahead and geek out if you wish.

via Comicbook.com

The new report about Star Wars: The Last Jedi details a major sequence for Finn, recovered from his battle with Kylo Ren on Starkiller Base, and how he’ll use his First Order training to benefit the Resistance. In the sequence, Finn wears a First Order officer’s uniform, infiltrating a new First Order Super Star Destroyer. When he encounters a stormtrooper from his past (which they speculate is Tom Hardy’s stormtrooper cameo), it’s clear that knowledge of what happened to Starkiller Base and FN-2187’s betrayal has not spread across the First Order as much as one might expect. Instead, the stormtrooper congratulates Finn on his promotion.

The infiltration sequence includes planting explosives along the Super Star Destroyer, over the red world described yesterday that’s likely the First Order’s primary base of operations. It’s quite a guerrilla tactic – perhaps they’ve taken some cues from Rogue One in how to mount their resistance now that the New Republic is all but wiped out.

As for the Star Destroyer itself, this new First Order model is a huge, dark wedge with no outcroppings. Gone are the major command modules seen on the Empire’s Star Destroyers, instead keeping it simple and stark. The standard Star Destroyer seen in Star Wars: The Force Awakens had a shorter top section, but also had a double-wedge upon it. No word in the description on whether this will be similar, looking almost as of one wedge is placed upon another.

‘Halo Wars 2’ Review: Must-See Details & Screenshots

Halo Wars 2

By quickly shutting down the studio responsible for the original real-time strategy experiment Halo Wars in 2009, Microsoft didn’t exactly provide much reason to think we’d ever see a sequel that would capitalize on the promise of the original. Eight years later, the game many people never thought would come to be has escaped development hell to land on your Xbox One. The result is better than most people could have expected, even though it’s still plagued by some nagging shortcomings from the past.

Games: Halo Wars 2
Consoles: Xbox One (reviewed), PC
Publisher: Microsoft Studios
Developer: Creative Assembly
Release Date: February 21

Set in the aftermath of Halo 5: Guardians, Halo Wars 2 hurls you into a conflict left in turmoil. The battle lines remain familiar. You are part of a UNSC corps sent adrift in hibernation for deep space travel, meant to be called upon when their forces are needed once again. Even though the Covenant have been defeated, a breakaway faction called the Banished are out to set themselves up as warlords who seize power at all costs. You’re tasked to stand up to the rogues by building up resources to contain and snuff out the threat. That sets up the typical RTS routine of parsing out units, controlling choke points and pecking away at enemy strongholds.

Borrowing from card-based games such as Magic: The Gathering and Hearthstone, the structure gives you the chance to expand your capabilities via card packs. Whether you’re utilizing overpowered, tide-turning units, juiced-up weapons or attribute boosts that speed up your development and building capabilities on the fly, your ability to orchestrate your fluctuating resources — thinking on your feet without a chance to slow things down and sort out the best plan of attack — makes the difference between winning and losing.

An Xbox One copy of the game unlocks the Windows version. Even though the game was built from the ground up to thrive on consoles — with accessible menus and readouts, as well as hot keys that keep you in control of the ever-shifting battlefield — the genre is such a natural fit on PC that you’re selling yourself short if you don’t check out that version. Multiplayer is strong no matter which version you stick with, and the game looks to grow stronger over time, with new units, weapons, cards and scenarios coming as DLC.

While the top-down, chess-meets-card-game structure of Halo Wars titles will never be much more of a distraction as hardcore Halo fans wait for the next FPS entry, there is plenty to be said for the welcome change of pace and world-building Halo Wars 2 accomplishes. Despite the seeming finality of Halo 5, games like this prove that the franchise still has plenty of room to stretch out as we advance deeper into the Xbox One era. Providing brainy thrills that establish a more sweeping sense of conflict than games dominated by one-man Spartan armies ever could, the sequel proves that there is room for RTS in the Halo universe, which continues to offer thrills and surprises as it ages.

ORDER: Halo Wars 2 here

Halo Wars 2 Reviews Around The Web:

“Microsoft is serious about making this game work on the console and expanding the market for RTS titles.” –VentureBeat

“Intriguing right from the very beginning.” –Fanbolt

“One part deck-building game, one part MOBA, and definitely different than what I’ve come to expect from the stagnant real-time strategy genre. It got me excited.” –PCWorld

Mel Gibson Directing ‘Suicide Squad’ Sequel Is A Perfect Match Made In Hell

$

Say what you will about Mel Gibson’s character, but the dude can direct his ass off. And honestly, if the Hollywood elites (who are largely Jewish) have forgiven him, then maybe we should too. Donald Trump is president, after all.

If you’ve read or seen anything about the DC Extended Universe in the last, uh, I don’t know three f*cking years, you’ll know that it’s a mess. Batman v. Superman and Suicide Squad were both poorly edited, misguided, choppy, tone-deaf shitshows, and reportedly, there are issues with Wonder Woman and Justice League (WW is going to rock and JL will be average, but better than BvS, you heard it here first).

In the last week, the DCEU lost Ben Affleck as the director of The Batman, but it may have gained a Suicide Squad 2 director in Mel Gibson.

Via The Hollywood Reporter:

Warner Bros. is courting the actor-director to helm Suicide Squad 2 and the sides are early in talks, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. No official offer has been made nor has any commitment. Sources say that Gibson is familiarizing himself with the material. But the studio is not being passive and is also looking at other directors, Daniel Espinosa among them.

David Ayer directed the initial outing, which featured an all-star cast that included Will Smith, Margot Robbie and Jared Leto. The 2016 movie faced some hurdles during production and was met with somewhat polarizing response, but grossed $745 million worldwide, enough to put a sequel on the fast-track.

Ayer is now developing Gotham City Sirens, a project that reunites him with Robbie and focuses on the female villains of the DC Universe.

Bill Walton Got A Little Racist (?), Said ‘Dr. Slave Driver’ On Live TV

$

0

The reason I put a question mark is because I have never heard the term “Dr. Slave Driver” in my life and I have no idea who the hell Bill Walton’s talking about. For all I know, Dr. Slave Driver could be one of Walton’s black friends who he’s known for decades and has an incredible relationship with. Not defending him, I’m just saying, I can’t call something racist without having any clue what the hell he’s talking about. Defining something without knowing anything about it is the definition of ignorance.

For all we know, Walton could have eaten an entire eighth of shrooms before the game and they might’ve just kicked in. Maybe he was literally seeing a Django Unchained-esque figure strolling through the arena. I don’t know.

What I do know is that ESPN was having none of it, cutting Walton’s mic immediately after it happened.

It goes without saying that people were none too pleased:

Based on what I know about Bill Walton, which is A.) that he played basketball at UCLA and in the NBA for decades and B.) that he’s a f*cking hippie, I have a hard time imaging that Bill Walton being a racist.

That said, stranger things have certainly happened.

Northwestern University SAE Suspended Amid Reports Of Drugging & Sexual Assault

Last week, we brought you the report of five Northwestern students alleging that they were drugged, with three of them claiming they were sexually assaulted at two on-campus fraternity houses. It seems as though the national headquarters for Sigma Alpha Epsilon have enough evidence to suspend the chapter.

SAE Nationals have suspended the fraternity’s chapter on the Northwestern University campus after allegations of sexual assault at the fraternity house were announced, officials confirmed.

Via Chicago Tribune:

“They have to cease and desist all operations,” said Brandon Weghorst, SAE spokesman.

Separately, the Interfraternity Council, which governs social fraternities on campus, has suspended indefinitely all social activities for all campus fraternities, Northwestern University spokesman Bob Rowley confirmed.

The suspension of Illinois Psi-Omega, NU’s chapter of the SAE fraternity, means members cannot hold chapter meetings, attend fraternity social events or do any other activities under the SAE banner, Weghorst said. The suspension is expected to stay in place while the reported assaults are under investigation.

Weghorst made clear that the suspension “does not mean that the chapter is closing; it doesn’t mean they are booted from the house.”

The SAE letters will be allowed to remain on the house while the fraternity is suspended. If the campus chapter is disbanded, the letters could be removed.

Roddy White Said He’d Have Fought OC Kyle Shanahan Over Super Bowl Play Calling

Gotta feel for Roddy White. He was a loyal and borderline Hall of Fame wide receiver on a bunch of middling Falcons teams. Putting up six consecutive seasons with at least 80 catches, 1100 yards, and six touchdowns, White is the NFL’s 36th all-time leading wide receiver. However, the farthest he ever got during those years in Atlanta was the 2012 NFC Championship against Colin Kaepernick and the San Fransisco 49ers.

Then the literal year after he retires, the Falcons not only make an epic run to the Super Bowl but actually lead 28-3 at one point. It’s the dream of any offensive player to be up by 25 points in the big game, let alone an excellent one like Roddy White.

Needless to say, he’s a little frustrated with the way things unfolded in Houston.

White, appearing on the We Never Played the Game podcast, said he would have gotten physical with Shanahan if he were still on the team.

Via Bleacher Report:

White took exception with the play-calling when Atlanta held a 28-20 lead with 4:40 remaining on the clock.  He believed the Falcons should have run the ball three times from New England’s 22-yard line to set up a potential game-clinching field goal, but quarterback Matt Ryan was instead sacked, and Atlanta had to punt.

Shanahan, who is now head coach of the San Francisco 49ers, was chided by White and blamed for blowing the game.

‘You destroyed a dream for a city. It’s bigger than me. The city of Atlanta needed that championship and you had it. [Owner] Arthur Blank needed that championship and he deserved to win that game, with everything he’s been through. It was finally our time to win and it just hurt me that we didn’t get it done.’

Hard not to agree with Rowdy Roddy White on this one.

Conor McGregor Reveals The Secret To His Punching Power

Earlier this week, we brought you the story of Conor McGregor’s wide-ranging interview with GQ, where he talked about the UFC, Floyd Mayweather, and Khloe Kardashian’s ass.

“Maybe I’ll search for Khloé’s big fat ass—she’s been floating around Malibu. I don’t give a fuck about them. I just like to see them in the flesh.”

Classic Conor being Conor. Well, turns out that wasn’t the only quintessential McGregor quote from the interview, as he also revealed where his trademark knockout power comes from.

As is tradition when it comes to McGregor, it was the perfect mix of arrogance and humor.

Via GQ:

“It’s all in the nutsack. It’s all in the ball sack. I just have confidence that comes from my big ball sack, and I know when I smack you, you’re going down. And that’s it.”

I could listen to this dude read Aesop’s Fables and still be enthralled. Dude can turn anything into a quote.

Email Reveals Porsche Employees Celebrated Paul Walker’s Death Because It Boosted Value Of Other ‘Rare’ Cars

New legal documents obtained by TMZ reveal that Porsche employees hid emails from lawyers in Meadow Walker’s wrongful death lawsuit. In the email, a Porsche employee “gleefully” shared the news that Paul Walker had been killed while driving his Carrera GT, totaling the car. The email suggested that one less of these “rare” vehicles on the road increased their value.

Via TMZ:

One of the lawyers for Paul’s daughter was reviewing company emails on his office computer that were heavily redacted. The lawyer was shocked when he reviewed the same emails on his iMac home computer and found he could see the portions that were not visible on the office computer.

Among the emails from 2006, an employee wrote as many as 200 of the 1280 Carrera GTs which Porsche had produced had been “totaled” in the first two years they were sold… 2004 – 2006.

The Porsche employee who wrote the email goes on to say, “This would be great news to the remaining owners as the GT becomes more rare.”

The employee also told this story … “Another Carrera bites the dust as a bodyshop mechanic who claimed he was going less than 30 MPH smashed into a telephone poll. Looks like he was going more than 30 to me!”

Another email from a different employee says “This is in the back of my head every time I get behind the wheel of one of these. It’s just hidden behind the shit-eating grin!”

TMZ reached out to Porche for a comment, but they have yet to respond.

Meet Miss COED 2017 Finalist, Marissa Rockenbach From UMN

It was a fierce battle to the finals of Miss COED 2017, but we managed to lock down the best group of college girls in the country. Okay maybe I’m biased, but these ladies have a TON to offer, so I’m standing by it.

Marissa Rockenbach is a freshman at the University of Minnesota studying Psychology with the hopes of becoming a surgeon. When she first visited UMN, she says she fell in love with the campus, the activities, and the school pride. With only one semester under her belt, her college experience is just getting started – which I’m jealous of, TBH.

Before you make a decision, though, I’ll leave you with a few more fun facts about our girl reppin’ the Big 10.

  • If she could travel anywhere for Spring Break, she would go to Australia or Bora Bora.
  • She’s planning on going to medical school after graduation.

DeMarcus Cousins Got Away With One Of The Most Blatant Travels You’ll Ever See

CSN Warriors News

During last night’s game between the Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors, DeMarcus Cousins scored a very controversial two points. Midway through the second quarter, Cousins got the ball down low and proceeded to put on a post move clinic. Watch him exhibit grace that would make Hakeem Olajuwon blush.

What hilariously incompetent officiating. I know that NBA refs constantly let extra steps slide, but how the hell did they not see Cousins leave his feet!? That’s as blatant as it gets. I guess they were just scared his crazy ass would have a Jackie Moon-esque meltdown if they called him for traveling.

Those two points wouldn’t matter anyway, as the Warriors cruised to a 109-86 victory. I apologize for this hot take, but are we even sure Cousins is that good? Even though he’s obviously very talented and he never has a legit supporting cast, it’s troubling the lack of success the Kings have had with Cousins. Just look at their regular season records since he came into the league, courtesy of Basketball Reference.

This Supercut Of Wolf Blitzer Making Kim Jong-Un Puns Is Bizarrely Mesmerizing

Unless you’ve been living on Mars for the last week, you’ve heard that Kim Jong-nam, the estranged half-brother of North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un, died after being poisoned at a Malaysian airport on Monday.

Since then, South Korea accused Jong-un of orchestrating his half-brother’s assassination, with one of the two women who carried out the attack wearing a shirt that read “LOL” across the front.

However, as The Daily Show’s Trevor Noah pointed out on Wednesday, the most hilarious result of this story is CNN’s reporting of it.

When Is Spring Break 2017

Spring Break is without a doubt the single greatest period of time off in a college student’s year. Although it’s a hell of a lot shorter than both summer and winter vacation, Spring Break comes at a crucial part of the semester. Spring Break also usually means that you’re going someplace cheap, warm, and stocked with cold drinks. Yes, you get to travel with your squad, but the best part about Spring Break is that you get to hang out with party animals from around the country. The key is knowing which schools will be on break with you.

So in order to help you out, here’s a very helpful list of Spring Break schedules, broken down by weeks, and courtesy of StudentCity.

Presidents’ Day 2017: Is Presidents’ Day A Federal Holiday?

$
0
0

Before we get to Presidents’ Day, how about a quick refresher on what qualifies as a federal holiday. A federal holiday, also known as a government-sanctioned holiday, is a holiday on which the government authorizes the closure of federal offices while still ensuring that federal employees get paid. Pretty sweet, right?

But before you start making vacation plans, you should know which holidays make the cut.

Congress has established 11 permanent federal holidays.

  • Friday, January 1: New Year’s Day
  • Monday, January 18: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
  • Monday, February 15* (or third Monday of February): Washington’s Birthday/Presidents Day
  • Monday, May 30: Memorial Day
  • Monday, July 4: Independence Day
  • Monday, September 5: Labor Day
  • Monday, October 10: Columbus Day
  • Friday, November 11: Veterans Day
  • Thursday, November 24: Thanksgiving Day
  • Monday, December 25: Christmas Day

Back in the 1870s, the U.S. government proclaimed New Year’s Day, George Washington’s Birthday, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas day as federal holidays. Since then, however, the issue of national holidays has become more polarizing as other religions have sought to see their holy days recognized by the federal government.

What Makes Presidents’ Day A Federal Holiday?

In the late 1800s, a handful of states began observing Abraham Lincoln’s birthday (February 12) as a public holiday, though this was not recognized nationwide. The earliest observance of Lincoln’s birthday occurred in Buffalo, New York in 1874. Eventually, Lincoln’s birthday was combined with Washington’s (February 22) as they were commonly viewed as two of the greatest presidents in American history.

In 1879, Congress made the occasion a holiday for government offices in Washington. In 1885, they expanded it to include all federal offices and held the holiday on Washington’s actual birthday until 1971. At that time, the federal holiday was moved to the third Monday in February to place it between Lincoln and Washington’s birthdays.

During the mid-1980s, advertisers began popularizing the term Presidents’ Day in public appearances.

The rest, as they say, is history. So enjoy your day off, ladies and gentlemen!
