Late last night, Big Sean’s newest album I Decided hit music outlets everywhere. You can listen to the full album on Spotify, but there’s a track in particular that has the internet buzzing. The song “No Favors” features a typically insane verse from Eminem. He calls out Donald Trump, describes himself as the Aaron Hernandez of rap, and drops a pun about sodomy.

Here’s “No Favors” in all of its profane glory.

I keep thinking that Eminem might switch up his style a bit, as it’s a little strange for a 44-year-old man to keep rapping about such deranged shit. But I guess a leopard can’t change its spots, and at least he’s still rapping his ass off. That verse was chock-full of punchlines. For their latest issue, 10 Magazine pulled out all of the stops. They got not one, not two, not three, but a whopping 12 Victoria’s Secret models to pose in their new issue. That’s right, we’re talking about a goddamn dozen beautiful, scantily clad babes. It’s kinda like what Coach Red Beaulieu from The Waterboy used to say, “The only thing better than a crawfish dinner is five crawfish dinners.”

Their full lineup of Victoria’s Secret models is Josephine Skriver, Stella Maxwell, Jasmine Tookes, Sara Sampaio, Elsa Hosk, Grace Elizabeth, Lily Donaldson, Cindy Bruna, Martha Hunt, Alanna Arrington, Maria Borges, and Dilone. On February 2, 2017, some monster threw a homemade explosive device into a Pasadena, California Cheesecake Factory. At around 6:08 P.M, an unidentified man tossed the device into the crowded restaurant located at 2 West Colorado Boulevard.

Here’s the Hollywood Reporter with more on this troubling incident.

No one was hurt in the incident, but patrons quickly scrambled out of the restaurant after the device exploded, according to police and eyewitness accounts.

A male suspect reportedly opened the door of the restaurant and threw the lit device inside before he fled, police said. The device landed under an empty table and exploded.

“Pasadena police detectives are currently handling the investigation and out of an abundance of caution the federal authorities have been notified,” according to a Pasadena police statement.

It’s a miracle no one got killed or seriously injured in this attack. Let’s hope this son of a bitch gets caught soon and is prosecuted to the full extent of the law. If you can’t enjoy a delicious and reasonably priced meal in this country without the fear of getting blown to smithereens, then we are in big, big trouble.

Over the last week or so, Charles Barkley has been fielding pressure from both Shaq and Lebron James in regards to statements that Sir Charles made about James.

The SparkNotes version of the story is that Barkley said that Lebron needs to stop bitching about the players his team is currently fielding because the Cavs are STACKED. And the man’s not wrong: Lebron’s been whiny AF.

Anyway, Shaq defended Lebron, saying Barkley knows nothing about winning back-to-back championships. This is also very true.

A couple nights later, Lebron would respond to Barkley, essentially saying that he’s been nothing but a perfect role model and player, while Barkley was basically a scumbag. Again, all true.

But then, this happened:

Even at face value, telling Shaq he can’t fight is perhaps the boldest of moves. But when you consider the two have actually fought each other before, it makes Barkley’s comeback that much ballsier.

Big Sean appeared on Hot 97 to visit with Funk Flex while promoting his new album I Decided. While Sean was on the show, he rapped about using an icepick to destroy ISIS and then using that same icepick to murder Donald Trump.

Sean, who notably performed for Hillary Clinton at a star-studded concert during her 2016 campaign, dropped a new album on February 2, so this could possibly be a move to strum up some hype. Not a bad business tactic, but from my personal experiences as an American of 24 years, talking about murdering the president is never a good idea no matter who it is.

Except for Eminem. Pretty sure Eminem said he was going to murder George Bush all the time.

“I know ‘Ye proud of me, he took me out of debt. I know Jay proud of me, he put this ’round my neck. And I might just kill ISIS with the same icepick. That I murder Donald Trump in the same night with,” Sean rapped.

In an open letter on the town’s official website, Mayor Jess Herbst of New Hope, Texas, came out as transgender.

Collin County, the suburb where New Hope is located, is considered one of the state’s most conservative areas.

As your Mayor I must tell you about something that has been with me since my earliest memories. I am Transgender. Two years ago, with the support of my wife, daughters, and son-in-law, I began Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). At the time, I did not imagine I would hold the Mayors position, but here I am.

I know that transgender people are just coming to light in our society, and we have made great strides in the last few years. Celebrities like olympic gold medalist Caitlyn Jenner, Laverne Cox from the show ‘Orange is the new Black’ and popular shows like ‘Transparent’ , society finally has a chance to see and learn about who we are. It is gender identity not sexual preference that applies to me. I love my wife, and she loves me, we have no intention of change. My daughters have been adamant supporters of me and are proud to tell people their father is transgender.

Herbst, who asked to be called Jess instead of Jeff, asserted that she understands the difficulty of this transition for some people. Herbst, who runs her own business, says that all of her customers have been supportive of her.

She also isn’t concerned with what pronouns people use to describe her and invited people to speak to her about her transition, or any other town issue, at the city’s monthly town hall meeting.

Awesome is the only way to describe this move. No pun intended, but it takes massive balls to reveal anything about yourself to the public, let alone something as intimate as your gender, let alone in the middle of Texas, the heart of conservatism. Standing ovation from COED.

Herbst is documenting her journey on her website with the hopes of convincing the town’s residents to reconsider their opinions on the trans community.

I think it’s pretty safe to say that every sports fan fantasizes about winning a Super Bowl ring, whether that comes from seeing their favorite NFL team win the Super Bowl or the delusional fan who wants to win one themselves. Side note: I used to be one of those people. Anyways, having a Super Bowl ring (or any championship ring for that matter) is the ultimate trump card for any athlete. That’s why guys like Dan Marino, Alex Ovechkin (loser), the entire Philadelphia Flyers teams (bigger losers), and Tony Romo (biggest loser) can’t really talk trash to anyone with a ring. Because no matter how much better they may be than a lot of athletes, they’ve yet to do what every athlete dreams of doing: winning a championship ring.

Sorry for getting a bit off-topic there, but back to the Super Bowl rings. Super Bowl rings are awarded to each member of the winning Super Bowl team, and they do that because the team, specifically ownership itself, gets to keep the Lombardi Trophy, which the NFL only makes one of. The rings symbolize the team’s Super Bowl victory and serve as a collectible piece of memorabilia for the players. Most of the rings are manufactured by the company Jostens. The cost of the 150 rings for each winning team is paid for by the NFL, which usually costs them around $5 million. The rings contain many diamonds, and usually resemble the logo of the winning team. They also contain a slogan that the team may have used throughout the season, as well as the team’s record. Here are some other facts about Super Bowl rings.

CNN tweeted out an unfortunate typo today, saying that Faith Hill would be releasing a duets album with The Notorious B.I.G.

Shaking my goddamn head. Faith Evans is the R&B singer who was married to the late, great Biggie Smalls, while Faith Hill is the country singer who is married to Tim McGraw. CNN quickly realized that the tweet should have said Faith Evans and not Faith Hill, but it was too late.

The memes and jokes had already spread like wildfire all over Twitter. Here are some of my favorites poking fun at CNN’s hilarious mix-up.

Some enterprising DJ needs to create a Faith Hill/Biggie mashup ASAP. If they strike while the iron is hot, there’s no doubt in my mind that it would go viral like a motherf*cker.

As for poor Faith Evans, there’s no such thing as bad press. In all honesty, CNN’s blunder gave her a ton more publicity for her upcoming album that she would have gotten. So in case you didn’t know by now, Southern Illinois University’s annual PolarBear party is a complete and utter slopfest. Yes, it’s the same party that gave us the single greatest “morning after” picture I’ve seen in my time here at COED, but it’s also the epitome of what happens when a massive school that doesn’t get enough national recognition for parties throws down for an entire weekend.

Somehow our boy Rashad (our Campus Ambassador at SIU) not only managed to survive the weekend but also recorded the whole thing on his GoPro. After a couple of long nights of editing, he pulled together all the insanity into four minutes of great footage: actual fraternity goats, girls twerking, clubbing, and more dogs than you can shake a selfie stick at. This is what we look for in college party videos.

As a boring white guy, I don’t really know much about barbershops. I can’t even remember the last time I left my house to get a haircut, as I just stick with the ol’ trusty buzz cut. So pretty much all of my knowledge on barbershop etiquette comes from those Ice Cube movies.

As enjoyable and informative as the Barbershop franchise has been to me, I just got a crash course in a very important lesson that Cube never touched on: Do not steal a barber’s clippers. Watch a thief catch a vicious beating for snatching clippers from the wrong hombre.

Jesus, he jumped in that ass quick. That was the most lopsided barbershop fight I’ve seen since Shawn Michaels put Marty Jannetty through a window.

It probably would’ve been better for the barber to ask those questions BEFORE he started pummeling the guy. It’s gotta be hard to remember the whereabouts of a pair of clippers when your brains are fully scrambled. I do wish that he gave the bandit a chance to defend himself, though, instead of just sucker punching him like that. I guess all is fair in love and clipper disputes.

There’s currently a water shortage in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, and Mayor Pam Hemminger has declared a state of emergency for the town. The shortage was caused by a fluoride problem at a treatment plant and a major water main break happening within a short time period.

Here’s ABC11 with more.

Orange Water and Sewer Authority says it is not sure water in its system is safe for consumption because of low water pressure system-wide and it’s telling people not to drink it. All restaurants served by the system have been ordered closed. Officials said it could be 24-48 hours – or more – before water service is back to normal.

The University of North Carolina has cancelled classes and is advising students to not drink the water on campus.

It’s obviously not that important given the circumstances, but North Carolina is scheduled to take on Notre Dame in men’s basketball at the Dean E. Smith Center on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. ET. A wrestling match and a women’s lacrosse game scheduled to take place at UNC on Saturday have already been moved, so it’s definitely something we will monitor.

Eight years ago, Halo Wars managed to pull off the tricky feat of bringing the real-time strategy genre to the Xbox 360, taking the Halo mythos in a bold new direction. Now the sequel that many thought would never arrive is finally coming to the Xbox One. There are other crowd-pleasers dropping on the console this month, including the stealthy shooter Sniper Elite 4, the sword combat adventure For Honor and the creation-oriented sandbox Lego Worlds.

Although it may not be as strong this year as it has been in years past, the ACC is still one of the most feared and respected conferences in all of college basketball. Having said that, this weekend doesn’t really provide us with any marquee matchups, except for the lone game between two ranked teams as the #20 Fight Irish of Notre Dame head to Chapel Hill to take on the #12 North Carolina Tar Heels.

I’m not even going to sugarcoat this, Notre Dame BADLY needs a win. They’ve dropped four of their last five games, including their last three in a row, all of which have been conference games. They’re still only two games behind North Carolina for the ACC lead, but if these losses keep racking up for the Irish, then they could be on the outside looking in when the tournament rolls around in March. They’ll need leading scorer Bonzie Colson to continue to put up points against the Tar Heels, but they’ll also need production from the other four starters, as well as their bench. Yes, that was a very obvious thing to say, but when you’re in the midst of a three-game losing streak, you need all the advice you can get to right the ship.

After going on a seven-game winning streak, North Carolina has not played well over their last two games. Their winning streak came to an end against unranked Miami, and then they barely squeaked by Pitt in their last game, who is in dead last in the ACC. I do think the Tar Heels have the edge going into this game, but they can’t look past the faltering Fighting Irish towards their big game next week against rival Duke at Cameron Indoor Arena. As long as UNC continues to score at the rate they have been this year (88 points a game), they shouldn’t have any trouble with Notre Dame and will continue to hold onto their lead in the ACC.

With just 24 hours standing between us and Super Bowl Sunday, we’ll have to get our sports and gambling fix in with some college basketball on Saturday, and let me tell you there’s a great list of games, the first one being two Top 25 Big Ten teams going at it as the #23 Purdue Boilermakers travel to College Park to square off with the #17 Maryland Terrapins.

The Terps have been on an absolute tear lately, winning seven games in a row, including a hard-fought battle on the road earlier this week against conference rival Ohio State. With an NCAA Tournament bid on the horizon in the coming weeks, Maryland can continue to make their case for a higher seed as long as they keep beating up on the Big Ten, and that starts with a win on Saturday. While I like Maryland’s chances, they can’t look past this game towards their big showdown with #10 Wisconsin in the next few weeks.

Much like they do every year (or so it seems), the Purdue Boilermakers are quietly going about their business this season with an 18-5 record, including wins against #13 Wisconsin, #21 Notre Dame, and most recently, #25 Northwestern. They almost defeated reigning national champions Villanova earlier this year but fell in a tough game by the score of 79-76. Sophomore forward Caleb Swanigan has led the way for Purdue this season by scoring 18.8 points a game to go along with 12.9 rebounds a game. The Boilermakers will be going into a hostile environment Saturday, so it will definitely be a tough game, but if they’re able to come away with a win, then that may be the turning point that gives them some well-deserved national recognition.

Let me say that I absolutely love this marketing move by Netflix. I don’t understand why some companies put their full Super Bowl commercials online before the game. Ever wanted to clock a Nazi, but were afraid of the consequences? Wavves frontman Nathan Williams and his brother Joel joined forces to create Kill The Alt-Reich. The video game is pretty much Whack-A-Mole, but instead of drilling rodents, you get to punch racist pricks right in their dumb faces.

Nathan and Joel Williams are in a band called Sweet Valley, and their Twitter account recently uploaded some gameplay footage.

Having to avoid punching kittens, pizza, and babies was a nice touch. It definitely adds more skill to the game than just constant button mashing. Kill The Alt-Reich is clearly pretty damn intense, making it the next best thing to punching Richard Spencer in real life.
