WATCH: B.J. Penn Got Destroyed At UFC Fight Night 103 In His Return From A 30-Month Hiatus

B.J. Penn was one 0f the all-time greats in his prime, but the 38-year-old showed in his first fight since July 29, 2014 that he just doesn’t quite have it anymore.

It didn’t take long into the second round of tonight’s main event at UFC Fight Night 103 up-and-comer Yair Rodriguez to dispatch Penn. The 24-year-old Mexican downed Penn 3 seconds into the round with a front kick followed immediately by a devastating right hand to the face, and then mercilessly ground-and-pounded him until the referee stopped it 24 seconds in.

Penn is one of just 3 men in history to have been a UFC champion in two weight classes, having previously been the titleholder for the lightweight and welterweight divisions. But the reality is he hasn’t won a fight since November, 2010. He drew once and then suffered four consecutive defeats in that span.

It wouldn’t be a surprise to anyone after such a letdown in his comeback tonight if this is the last we see of B.J. Penn in the octagon.

Rodriguez, on the other hand, is one of the most promising young competitors in the featherweight division. He is 10-1 in his professional MMA career and is 6-0 since making his UFC debut at UFC 180.

Star Wars Deleted Scene Chewbacca Arm

As you may or may not know, Star Wars: The Force Awakens had a ton of scenes that were filmed and then deleted for various reasons. These scenes were included in full as part of the 3D Collector’s Edition Blu-Ray that was released in November. One such scene, featuring Rey, Chewbacca, and junkboss Unkarr Plutt, hit the internet this weekend and has a ton of fans talking.

The scene in question takes place at Maz Kanata’s fortress, while Rey and company are trying to hide out with BB-8. Somehow, the junkboss from Jakku has figured out a way to trace down Rey to Maz Kanata’s fortress in an attempt to get back the Millenium Falcon which she stole. He confronts her, and manages to steal the blaster she pulls on him. Enter Chewbacca, who grabs the blaster back and hands it off to Rey. Unkar unwisely challenges Chewbacca, jabs him in the Wookie’s bandaged arm, and says “I’m not scared of you. Half a Wookie isn’t much.” That’s when Chewie literally rips his arm off and throws it on a table.

You can watch the scene for yourself.

Personally, I’m glad they cut the scene. The violence really has no fit whatsoever in the PG-like theme of Star Wars: The Force Awakens and the truth of the matter is that Unkarr Plutt is a minimal character in the movie. There’s always the chance that earlier versions of the movie had him play a bigger role (after all he is the one who was left with Rey when she was a child), but in the movie release I couldn’t have cared less about him.

That being said, it’s always fun to see deleted scenes like this to remind us how formidable a Wookie really can be.

We’ve got some elite college basketball action taking place this afternoon, as the #7 ranked Creighton Bluejays will head into a hostile environment to take on the #22 ranked Xavier Musketeers. These two teams are streaking in totally opposite directions, so it will be very interesting to see how this Big East showdown shakes out.

Every since losing to the #1 ranked Villanova Wildcats, the Bluejays have been on fire. They’ve won their last four games, including a 75-64 victory over #12 Butler. Creighton is now 17-1 overall and their 4-1 conference record is good for second place in the Big East.

On the other side of the spectrum, the Musketeers are going through a rough patch. It’s been against brutally tough competition, but Xavier has dropped their last two games. They lost 79-54 against #3 Villanova and 83-78 against #12 Butler. Both of these contests were on the road, so they’ve gotta be itching to get back home to try to right the ship.

A major key for Xavier’s (13-4, 3-2 Big East) return to the win column will be slowing down Creighton’s high-octane attack. The Bluejays can light up the scoreboard with the best of them, as their 87.6 points per game average is 10th in the country.

Now that you know a little bit about the matchup, let’s break down all of the ways you can watch the game.

Bernie Madoff Is Still A Scumbag, Cornered The Hot Chocolate Market In Prison

Bernie Madoff is currently serving 150 years in prison for running the largest Ponzi scheme in American history. I always assumed that his life would be a living hell in the clink. I thought his days would be filled with a steady diet of beatdowns, shankings, and nonconsensual shower sex, but I guess I was sorely mistaken.

Journalist Steve Fishman interviewed Madoff for a podcast, and it doesn’t seem like Madoff is doing too bad. Via MarketWatch, here are some quotes on life in prison for Madoff.

“He’s a star in prison. He stole more money than anyone in history, and to other thieves, this makes him a hero.” According to Fishman, he is frequently approached for financial advice, including by another inmate who was debating a stock purchase with his broker. “The guy later said he wished he had followed Bernie’s advice closer.”

Madoff, who opened his first business with money earned from working as a lifeguard, has even returned to entrepreneurship, albeit a crafty one.

“Bernie really was a successful businessman with quite original insights into the market, and he’s continued applying his business instincts in prison,” Fishman said. “At one point, he cornered the hot chocolate market. He bought up every package of Swiss Miss from the commissary and sold it for a profit in the prison yard. He monopolized hot chocolate! He made it so that, if you wanted any, you had to go through Bernie.”

Jesus Christ. You can take away a crook’s freedom, but you can’t take away their passion for swindling people out of their money. Greedy pricks like him know no bounds. He’ll probably buy up all of the Ramen Noodles and cigarettes next until he becomes the prison version of 7-Eleven. F*ck this guy. I wish somebody would take a gallon of scalding hot chocolate and throw it right in that scumbag’s face.

Top 10 Best Martin Luther King Jr. Quotes

MLK Quotes, mlk day 2017

“I have a dream,” spoke Martin Luther King Jr. on August 28th, 1963. These words would forever be remembered by every single American citizen, including children and adults alike, for the rest of time. As one of the most moving and important role models in American history, it makes sense to have a national holiday dedicated to the man who forever changed race relations in the United States.

MLK’s death in 1968 took the world by storm. Many American people were devastated when they found out that the beloved icon of freedom amongst the African-American community had been assassinated. It became such a big tragedy, that the holiday we celebrate today was created solely to remember the inspirational man who is Martin Luther King Jr.

During his life, he has said many meaningful things, he has spread love, and he has attempted to defeat the power of negativity and animosity. It’s no wonder he became one of the world’s most important men in history.

To celebrate a man who has created America as we know it today, here are the best quotes and sayings by Martin Luther King Jr.

“Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.”

“The art of acceptance is the art of making someone who has just done you a small favor wish that he might have done you a greater one.”

“Have we not come to such an impasse in the modern world that we must love our enemies – or else? The chain reaction of evil – hate begetting hate, wars producing more wars – must be broken, or else we shall be plunged into the dark abyss of annihilation.”

“Nonviolence means avoiding not only external physical violence but also internal violence of spirit. You not only refuse to shoot a man, but you refuse to hate him.”

“A lie cannot live.”

“Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into a friend.”

“Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.”

“I have decided to stick to love…Hate is too great a burden to bear.”

“Only in the darkness can you see the stars.”

“If physical death is the price that I must pay to free my white brothers and sisters from a permanent death of the spirit, then nothing can be more redemptive.”

On Sunday, Kim Joiner was walking around the Circle B Bar Reserve in Polk County, Florida when she crossed paths with an absolutely gigantic alligator. Instead of running for the hills like a normal person, Kim pulled out her camera and recorded this majestic beast in action. Fire up the Jurassic Park theme and watch the jaw-dropping footage.

Holy moly, that is one massive gator. I love how methodically that son of a bitch was moving too. That alligator knows who runs shit up at the Circle B Bar Reserve. He’s the goddamn Paulie Cicero of alligators.

While everybody is talking about Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor, there is only one super fight that I want to see: these two gators battling to the death.

I’d gladly shell out 100 bucks to watch these two colossal reptiles go after it. You heard it here first, gator fights are the future in sports entertainment.

WMU’s Victoria Niles Hopes To Move “Where Cold Winters Don’t Exist,” And TBH Same

Victoria Niles

It’s Monday, and while most people are off for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, those of us here at COED braved the cold NYC temps to bring you fire content, so you’re welcome. Yet Miss COED 2017 semifinalist, Victoria Niles no doubt has worse winters than us, which is why the Western Michigan University student plans on moving somewhere tropical post grad. TBH, I’m packing my bags and coming with.

The senior is studying Interdisciplinary Health Services and Nursing with a minor in Gerontology (yes, I had to look up what that was too), and just recently began an internship with the Susan G. Komen Foundation. She hopes to travel and one day own her own nursing home facility. This awesome lady has a heart of gold, and we’re proud to have her as a contestant.

Get to know more about Victoria below, and be sure to check back daily as we get to know each of our semifinalists a bit better.

If you could travel anywhere in the world for Spring Break, where would you go?

If I could travel anywhere for Spring Break, I would chose Greece because it has always been a dream of mine to visit. The closest I ever been to Greece are the photographs I have seen of the beautiful architecture, waters and buildings that are there. My heritage has always inspired me to want to visit even more!

Name one thing on your bucket list.

Travel the world. Experience life in different countries.

Cliché, but where do you see yourself in five years? Ready, set, go!

In five years, I see myself working for a company or organization that I am extremely passionate about; striving to make a difference in people’s lives each day I go to work. I hope to live in a place where “cold winters” don’t exist and I don’t have to hibernate a couple months out of the year to stay warm. I want to live somewhere beautiful and tropical. I hope to live with the love of my life and potentially be an owner of an extremely cute puppy.

What’s your biggest accomplishment thus far?

My biggest accomplishment has been learning about who I am and who I want to be in life. I have faced challenges that have shaped me into a more compassionate and loving person. I have learned to grow and adapt to unchangeable situations, while also learning how to be the best person I can be along the way.

You landed an internship with Susan G. Komen. Congrats! What compelled you to submit an application with the organization?

I wanted to work for a non-profit organization that is worldwide. About 40,000 people die of breast cancer each year. These statistics are extremely high, and I am motivated to help reduce the death rate of people with breast cancer. I wanted to be able to help organize the events, raise money for the organization and get get to talk to the ones struggling from breast cancer on a personal level. I want to be a voice of hope and strength to help those who need help fighting for themselves. After doing research and reading the story behind Susan G. Komen, it touched my heart and I immediately made phone calls and submitted resumes.

Tell us a little bit about Susan G. Komen and what the organization does for breast cancer education, awareness, and research.

We identify the greatest needs and grant money to local organizations and medical facilities to meet those needs.  We help those who need screenings pay for them through donations for those who don’t have full coverage and are unable to afford them. Susan G. Komen offers educational opportunities before, during and after cancer. These fitness and educational opportunities are offered to a person who is coming out of treatment from cancer and they can learn new ways how to live their lives each day with these affects. There are different events that are held for people to want to come and donate and support others.

What is the most rewarding part about your internship?

The most rewarding part about the internship with being able to help fight for those who need help fighting for themselves. I am driven to work as hard as I can, so that I can raise money and plan amazing events for ones with breast cancer and ones who have survived it. It is important to me to get people are aware of breast cancer and what they can do to prevent it.

Do you see yourself working in the heath care and/or non-profit field upon graduation?

I would absolutely love to work in health care for a non-profit field upon graduation. The world is so full of opportunities and I want to explore them all!

Find out how you can save those fighting against breast cancer by heading to the Susan G. Komen website.

WATCH: Blindfolded Martial Arts Master Drills Volunteer In Head With Sledgehammer

During a Sikh festival in southern India, a martial arts master put on a performance for the crowd. The stunt required a sledgehammer, a blindfold, assorted objects, and two dumbasses who were way too trusting. Cue up Peter Gabriel’s very applicable smash hit and watch a poor volunteer get his forehead smashed.

That’s going to leave a mark. If he’s a martial arts “master,” then who the hell is a martial arts novice? F*cking Gallagher? Triple H?

But this video just proves why you should never volunteer for anything. That goes for street performances, magic tricks, feeding the hungry at soup kitchens, etc. It’s all bad news. No good deed goes unpunished and no dome piece makes it out unscathed.

The only positive that I’ve got for the guy who took a sledgehammer to the head is that he’ll probably receive a more thorough medical examination than Chris Conley got last night. That concussion protocol really puts the players’ safety first, Rog. Your ginger incompetence never ceases to amaze me, you corrupt bastard.

Mia Khalifa Roasts Fan For Getting A Tattoo Of Her

Earlier today, ex-porn star Mia Khalifa came across a fan that had a tattoo of her on his leg. You would think that she would be flattered by this permanent gesture, but she was not pleased in the slightest. She proceeded to roast him on both Twitter and Instagram for his unique tat choice.

Instagram Photo

Goddamn Mia, tell us how you really feel! Now I do agree that the tattoo quality was atrocious. I honestly think Michael J. Fox could’ve done a more realistic portrait of Mia than this so-called tattoo artist.

But it still has to feel pretty shitty to shell out money and reserve body real estate for a tat of your favorite former adult actress, and then have her berate you on social media. He’s like a little kid bringing home some macaroni art to his parents, but instead of them putting it on the refrigerator, they rip it to shreds while cackling in his face. And you would think Mia wouldn’t be so ruthless on social media after Joel Embiid put her in a body bag last week.

I guess a leopard can’t change its spots, and Mia can’t stop throwing haymakers on social media. Everybody should still tread lightly around Mia on these internet streets.

With a week break from the NFL Playoffs, we have a nice college basketball matchup tonight between two classic programs. The Syracuse Orange will travel to Chapel Hill to take on the North Carolina Tar Heels, in their first meeting since they squared off in the Final Four last year.

UNC is coming off a great win this past weekend against #9 Florida State, and have won their past four games since losing to Georgia Tech. The Tar Heels are led by junior forward Justin Jackson, who is leading the team in scoring at 17.9 points per game. At 16-3, and second in the ACC, UNC is in prime position to make another deep run in March, like they did last season where they lost on a buzzer beater to Villanova in the title game.

Syracuse on the other hand has not had as much success this season as their counterpart tonight. At 11-7, Cuse is not having a terrible season, but they’re going to need to start reeling off some wins, and most likely win their conference tournament if they want any shot at making the NCAA Tournament, and shock the world like they did last year with a trip to the Final Four. A win on the road tonight against a Top Ten team would be a huge step in the right direction. UNC is clearly the better team on paper, but I don’t think anyone is counting out Syracuse giving them a game. It should be a good one.

Boy oh boy, did we have ourselves a week of college basketball. After being ranked for the first time in their programs history, Baylor went out and got trounced by West Virginia 89-68. They bounced back nicely with a win against Kansas State in their next game, but that didn’t stop them from losing their top spot in the Top 25, which reigning national champion Villanova then reclaimed after losing the top spot after their loss to Butler. The Top 5 is rounded out by Kansas, UCLA, Gonzaga, and Kentucky, respectively. The only noticeable team to fall significantly in the rankings were Duke, as they fell out of the Top 10 all the way to 18th in the country, after losing two games last week. For the first time ever, somebody in Canada was extremely hostile and rude. Watch a despicable woman repeatedly insult an elderly lady on a Toronto bus. This might be the most heartless tirade that I’ve ever heard.

I don’t typically condone violence against women, but I really wish that bus diver would’ve booted her ass off of that bus during her rant. I’m not talking about a love tap either. I’m talking about a running start, Justin Tucker kickoff style, boot to the moon.

If I heard that vile wildebeest call her a “dust fart” one more time I was going to blow a gasket. If you’re going to be an unconscionable monster, at least have the decency to not be so repetitive. What a goddamn dunce. And was that vicious rant all about eavesdropping on a phone conversation? Get the f*ck over yourself, toots. I don’t care if she overheard you talking about nuclear missile codes. That type of behavior is 1000% uncalled for.

Also, I don’t think I’ve ever heard someone go with the old, “My dad’s a cop” excuse when they weren’t acting like total dickheads. It’s a shame this hero wasn’t there to dole out some sweet, bus justice.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day 2017: Photos To Celebrate One Of The Greatest Men In History

Martin Luther King Jr Photos

Every year, Martin Luther King Jr. Day is celebrated on the third Monday of January. Today marks another year of acceptance, love, and peace among all races. The importance that MLK Jr. had on the world will never be forgotten, and since we’re celebrating a man who died 49 years ago, it’s very clear that he hasn’t.

Martin Luther King Jr. was born in the city of Atlanta, Georgia on January 15, 1929. This date would later become important as it is a part of the same week we celebrate his national holiday. What important, though, isn’t that we get a day off to relax at home, it’s that we remember what great things MLK has done for our country.

It was MLK who said, “I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia, the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave-owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.” Who would have guessed that one day, this dream would come true? Simply because of one man’s brave actions and a noble sacrifice, black men and women can live alongside white men and women with all of the same rights. While America in 2017 is still not completely without prejudice, MLK has paved the way for the freedoms that millions of American citizens now have.

At the age of 39, he died in Memphis, Tennessee on April 4th, 1968. Standing outside of his motel, he was shot and killed by James Earl Ray, a man who was against the union of the two races. James Earl Ray was sentenced to a life in prison where he died in 1998.

To say that Martin Luther King Jr. was a great man is an understatement. He fought for what he believed in, and that’s enough to make any man successful. What made MLK unique was that, despite the backlash, he never stopped fighting peacefully. He refused to hate, and he loved every single person on this planet. Rest in peace to America’s greatest hero. We’ll never forget your sacrifice.

One of HBO’s newest flagship series, The Young Pope, premiered last night, with the second episode dropping tonight on MLK Day. In The Young Pope, Jude Law, who is British, plays Lenny Belardo, the first American-born pope. Pope Pius XIII begins the series as the newly elected Pope and former Archbishop of New York. His Chief Advisor, Sister Mary, is played by Academy Award winner Diane Keaton. Sister Mary is an American nun who raised Belardo and Cardinal Andrew Dussolier in an orphanage and has helped Lenny throughout his career. Sister Mary is appointed personal secretary to the Pope. Cardinal Andrew Dussolier, a missionary, Lenny’s longtime friend and a fellow orphan, is played by Scott Shepherd. Outside of that, not much is given about the plot of the Vatican-set satire. The series has already premiered overseas, so if you want to find spoilers, I’m sure you can.

The Young Pope has received widespread critical acclaim in England, Ireland, and Italy, so it’s reasonable to assume it will be a big hit in the United States as well. With a cast of award-winning actors, an acclaimed Italian writer and director, and a huge $50 million production budget, The Young Pope, which has already been renewed for a second season, is shaping up to be HBO’s next big hit.

Kurt Angle Will Headline The 2017 WWE Hall of Fame Class After A Decade Away From The Company

Oh, it’s true. It’s true. It’s damn true!

After more than a decade away from the company, Kurt Angle will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the class of 2017.

ESPN’s Brian Campbell was the first to break the news.

Angle came to WWE in 1998 after winning a gold medal in freestyle wrestling at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics with a broken neck. He grasped the business as fast as any wrestler in history, and quickly became a main event player and remained one of the company’s preeminent performers until his departure in 2006. Angle was one of the most complete performers in wrestling history with a combination of exceptional in-ring ability, an amazing real-life backstory, top-notch charisma on the microphone, the capability to excel as both a heel and babyface and even legit comedic chops.

While I vaguely knew that pro wrestling was “fake” growing up, Kurt Angle made it impossible for me to truly grasp what that meant. Because he was so damn good at every aspect of pro wrestling, Angle made it real to me, dammit.

He’s my single all-time favorite wrestler, so obviously I’m psyched to see him be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

As you can see in the link above, Angle has publicly talked about his struggles with addiction recently, and has indicated that was a major reason why his run in Vince McMahon’s promotion fizzled out in 2006. After leaving WWE, Angle performed in TNA Wrestling for the next decade before leaving that company after his latest contract expired in 2016. In an interview with ESPN’s Brian Campbell, Angle said he wasn’t on bad terms with WWE after leaving.

“It was one of those things where when I left WWE, it wasn’t on bad terms,” Angle said. “It was just that I couldn’t do anything for them anymore because I was banged up and they couldn’t do anything more for me. I never felt ill will against them. It wasn’t like a nasty parting, it was just our time is up. You go your way, and I’ll go mine.”

The announcement that Angle will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame will undoubtedly fuel the hopeful speculation that we’ll see Angle wrestle again in WWE to finish his career. In response to the conjecture, Angle coyly stated in the interview with Campbell that for now his attention is only on the Hall of Fame.

“We have not talked about any wrestling,” Angle said. “Whether we do or not, that remains to be seen… There are no guarantees. I think right now the most important thing is the Hall of Fame — and I think both sides feel that way.”

Regardless of whether he wrestles again, it will be a joy to see Angle back in the WWE family. While you could argue that a Hall of Fame for a fake sport is completely subjective, there’s no one in my opinion more deserving of the honor than Kurt Angle.

With many places of work getting the day off for the holiday, we are given a nice gift of a pretty nice basketball matchup tonight between the Kansas Jayhawks and Iowa State Cyclones. Kansas has been one of the best teams in the country this season with a record of 16-1, but Iowa State hasn’t been doing too bad themselves with a 11-5 record.

With Baylor going down last week to West Virginia, the Jayhawks have taken the number one spot in both the Coaches Poll, and rightfully so, but are #2 in the AP Poll. After losing their first game of the season to Indiana to start off the season 103-99, Kansas has ripped off 16 straight wins, with their only close game being a 2 point win over the impressive Duke Blue Devils. Senior guard Frank Mason III is the teams leading scorer putting up 20.5 points a game, and is also one of 4 other Jayhawks that averages over double digit points a game. If Kansas keeps up this elevated level of play, which I expect them too, they’ll be one of the heavy favorites going into March.

Although they may not have a marquee win as of yet this season, the Cyclones have been playing some of the better teams in the country very tough this year, including losing to #2 Baylor and #11 Gonzaga both by two points, so they’ve proven they can play with the best of them. They’re currently sitting at 5th in the Big 12, which isn’t terrible at this point in the season, but will probably have to go on a win streak, including taking down some teams in the Top 25, if they want to make a run at the tournament in March. Personally, I think they’re in a good position to upset Kansas tonight, and I would imagine that their home crowd is going to be rocking tonight. It should be a fun one, and I can’t wait.

Braun is beating up Roman when we come back from the commercial break. He tags in Jericho. Owens beats down Reigns in the corner. Y2J starts smacking around Reigns in the middle of the ring. But that only pisses the former three-time WWE Champion off. Reigns strikes back and shakes up Jericho. Reigns tags in Zayn, who takes the fight to Y2J. Jericho pushes Sami into the corner, and tags in Kevin Owens. KO dominates his former best friend Sami Zayn. He tags back in Jericho who also beats up Zayn. Y2J quickly tags KO back in the ring.

Reigns gets the hot tag from Zayn. Roman runs through KO. But Braun proved to be the game changer, catching a superman punch and pushing Reigns into a superkick by KO. Rollins is a human highlight reel for the next portion of the match. He can really hold his own against Braun. Sami tries to take out the big man, but fails miserably. Braun squashes Sami with a running powerslam to end the match.

Braun Strowman, Chris Jericho & Kevin Owens defeat Sami Zayn, Roman Reigns & Seth Rollins

Post-match: Braun carries Sami Zayn on his shoulders and is able to throw him throw the announcer’s table. Seth Rollins intervenes. And soon Reigns, Y2J and Owens are all on the entrance ramp fighting it out, with the “good guys” against the “bad guys.” Rollins pedigrees Jericho, but Owens smacks Seth with a steel chair on his back before he can get up. Rollins rives in pain. Roman tries to spear KO, but the Universal Champ hits him with the side of the chair. He hits him one more time in the back for good measure. He then lines him up to the announcer’s table and utters the phrase, “Remember Battleground?” Owens throws Reigns through the table with a devastating powerbomb to close tonight’s show.

Look below to see a video of what happened after the show went off the air:

Breaking News: Kurt Angle is officially announced as the first member for the 2017 Class of the WWE Hall of Fame

Brian Kendrick vs. Cedric Alexander

Both men shake hands to start the match. Kendrick is a wily certain and was very dominant. He was going to put away Cedric a couple of times with his submission hold The Captain’s Hook. But then Alexander’s ex-girlfriend Alicia Fox comes down to ringside. She pushes the purple ropes towards Cedric, and he’s able to escape the Captain’s Hook. He talks with Alicia by ringside and then gets taken down with a Kendrick legdrop. Brian looks like he’s going to put away Cedric, but Alexander fires back with an awesome finisher.

Cedric Alexander defeats Brian Kendrick

In-Ring Segment: Charlotte Mocks Bayley

The WWE Raw Women’s Champion walks down to the ring. She talks about how Bayley is just like everyone in that arena; just normal, untalented people. She shows the audience photos of Bayley when she was just a wrestling fans. The young Bayley is seen in photos with John Cena and former WWE superstars like Rob Van Dam and Ivory. Charlotte than shows us a video of Bayley reciting a high school poem that talks about her dream of becoming a professional wrestler.

Bayley comes out and defends her past. She tells Charlotte that she has another poem for her, “Rose are red. Violets are Blues. And at the Royal Rumble, I will beat you!” Charlotte backs up the ramp as the wacky, waving, inflatable arm flailing tube-men are going crazy behind her.

Royal Rumble Qualifier Match: Big E vs. Titus O’Neil

Titus O’Neil is controlling the match when we get back from commercial. Titus dominates Big E for much of the match, flipping over the big man and hitting him with a devastating leg drop. At one point, Titus was literally spanking Big E’s ass. But then at the end, Big E hit a fury of offense, and hit the Big Ending.

Big E defeats Titus O’Neil

In-Ring Segment: The New Day & Titus O’Neil

The New Day come out and talk about the Royal Rumble. Xavier Woods says if one of them wins then they all win. And then The New Day will go onto WrestleMania 33 to become your new W-W-E Universal Champion!

Out comes Titus O’Neil, who is still ticked off at The New Day. They won’t let him become a member of their group. He wants to shut them up and take away Big E’s slot in the Royal Rumble match. Big E accepts Titus O’Neil challenge for a match next.

Tony Nese vs. Rich Swann

Neville attacks Rich Swann before the match even starts. “The Man That Gravity Forgot” is stomping out Swann in the corner. It looks like Neville is kicking Rich in the head. Swann fights back and takes down Neville. But Tony Nese comes out of nowhere and starts beating up Swann. Nevile grabs Tony off of him. Neville wants Swann for himself. But Nese defies Neville’s commands and assaults Swann once again. Nevillie is pissed and throws Nese out of the ring. Neville ends with the segment with an exclamation point. He kicks Rich in the head.

The match never starts because of Neville.

Post-match interview: Neville says that he’s the “king of the cruiserweights.” And at the Royal Rumble, he’ll destroy Rich Swann and become the new WWE Crusierweight Champion.

WWE Raw Tag Team Championship match: Cesaro & Sheamus (c) vs. Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows

Sheamus and Cesaro are kicking ass early-on. Both of them are destroying Karl Anderson. But then Karl gets Cesaro into Luke’s corner and the tide turn. Gallows and Anderson take turns inflicting punishment on Cesaro. The Swiss Superman is being dissected by the opposing team. Sheamus & Cesaro quickly strike back and regain control. But the big man Luke Gallows is too much to contain. Gallows knocks Sheamus to the outside with a monster of a kick. And we go to commercial break.

Gallows and Anderson are decimating Sheamus. Cesaro comes in after a hot-tag from the Irishman. The Swiss Superman destroys Karl. He swings Anderson around like a dozen times and then put him in a sharpshooter. Gallows hits Cesaro with a superkick. Karl pins Cesaro, but the Swiss Superman kicks out. Cesaro kicks ass once again.

Sheamus bumps the referee by mistake. The referee is down after a clubbing shot from Sheamus. Gallows and Anderson capitalize. They dominate both opponents. They hit the magic killer on Cesaro. Another referee hits the ring. 1…2…3…and new Raw Tag Team Champions Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson. Other referee wakes up and reveres the decision. Of course he gets assaulted.

Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows defeat Cesaro & Sheamus by disqualification

Video Packages

First, we see the results of the WWE United Kingdom Championship tournament.

Then, we see a video of Sasha Banks training in the ring before the event. Nia Jax comes down to the ring and beats up Banks. Nia looks like she really messed up Sasha’s leg.

Ariya Daivari vs. Lince Dorado

Daivari was very dominant in this match. It was back-and-forth early-on, but Ariya gained the advantage over his high-flying competitor. Lince is too flashy and slips up. He falls into Daivari’s variation of a Cobra Clutch. Daivari is sending a message to Jack Gallagher (sitting at the commentary table) for their match tomorrow night at WWE 205 Live.

Ariya Daivari defeats Lince Dorado

Rusev & Jinder Mahal vs. Enzo & Big Cass

Enzo Amore is back in action! He’s out of the wheelchair. How ya doin’? Jinder Mahal starts off strong early-on. And then Cass and Enzo turn things around. All out chaos ensues in the ring. Enzo & Big Cass are kicking ass as we go to the commercial break.

We’re back from commercial. Big Cass is holding down Mahal as Enzo punches him in the gut. The rest of the match was very back and front until Cass regained control and imposed dominance. Cass knocks out both Rusev and Mahal with a devastating big boot. He tags in Enzo, who jumps off the top rope onto Mahal for the 1…2….

Enzo & Big Cass defeat Rusev & Jinder Mahal

Intro: Roman Reigns In-Ring Segment

We get a video package honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

The camera then brings us inside the Verizon Arena. Roman Reigns music hits. He comes down to the ring, grabs a microphone and cuts a crappy promo. The fans still really dislike this guy. Paul Heyman comes out to save us all from the terrible Reigns. Heyman announces that Lesnar is hear at Raw tonight, and the crowd cheers. When Paul enters the ring and starts talking, the crowd starts chanting for Goldberg. Heyman continues hyping Lesnar. Reigns fumbles on a cheesy joke.

Enter Owens & Y2J. They talk trash like they usually do. Out comes Seth Rollins. He talks about the future, specifically him main-evening WrestleMania for the Universal Championship. Rawr! Out comes Braun Strowman. He stares down Seth Rollins inside the ring. Brock Lesnar’s music hits. As all the men in the ring were looking at Lesnar, Sami Zayn jump on Strowman’s back. A brawl ensues in the ring. Sami hits an helluva kick on Strowman. Lesnar gets involved in the fight, and puts Reigns on a one-way ticket to Suplex City. Sami Zayn also went for a ride to Suplex City.

Strowman climbs on the ring apron and stares down Lesnar. But Braun steps down and Lesnar turns around to a super-man punch from Reigns. Owens & Y2J emerge on the ring apron and Reigns knocks them down. Roman turns around to Lesnar’s F5!

WWE Monday Night Raw Preview

“The King of Kings” Triple H is also scheduled to make his return to WWE television tonight. Seth Rollins is still pissed off at The Game for costing him the WWE Universal Championship back in August. Triple H might have an important announcement to make regarding the Royal Rumble or WrestleMania 33. Stay tuned and you’ll find out.

Kurt Angle made headlines today, as he was the very first person announced for the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2017. Angle is a true legend in the world of professional wrestling. He definitely belongs in the Hall of Fame. Will Kurt show up on tonight’s Raw to make any special type of announcement? And I’m wondering if he’ll be participating in this year’s Royal Rumble match. Since John Cena vs. The Undertaker appears to be off the table for WrestleMania, now I’m wondering if we’ll get to see Kurt vs. ‘Taker on the grandest stage of them all.

WWE’s new “two-man power trip” Kevin Owens & Y2J will be there to provide some entertainment. These two are hilarious. It’s going to be a shame when they do eventually split up. Owens & Jericho are definitely friendship goals. Let’s go back to last week when Big Kev helped Y2J win his very first WWE United States Championship:

The WWE Raw Tag Team gold will also be on the line as the champions Cesaro & Sheamus fight Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson. Will the team of Cesaro & Sheamus drop their titles so soon? They’ll be like the anti-New Day of tag team title reigns if they lose tonight.
