Welp, there goes my enjoyment of vacation for the rest of my life. Has no one ever hear of the credo “ignorance is bliss”? Motherf*cker man. We all KNEW the sheets at hotels were PROBABLY gross, but because it couldn’t be proved, it didn’t really matter. A ‘pics or it didn’t happen’ type of situation, ya know?

The a**holes in this situation, other than the hotels themselves, are Inside Edition, who decided to run this investigation. Inside Edition stayed in nine “upmarket” hotels in New York City and allegedly found THREE (33%?!?!) hadn’t changed or washed their bedding before new customers arrived. Yup, pure un-filtered nightmare juice right there.

According to the Daily Mail:

“At a Marriott Residence Inn in Manhattan, they sprayed a message using invisible paint, that easily comes off in the laundry, on the bottom sheet of the bed.

The words which can only be seen under a UV light read: ‘I slept here.’

The production team checked out, leaving the bed looking as though it was slept in. Later on they checked into the same room under a different name, and found the message was still on the bottom sheet.

They allegedly found the same thing happened at the The Candlewood Inn & Suites in Times Square and La Quinta Inn & Suites near Central Park.”

A manager at the Marriott was then called in, where he insisted each of the hotel’s sheets were changed between guests. Well, I mean, yeah, what else is he gonna say? “Ohhhhh. Jig’s up! Ya got me! We haven’t cleaned a sheet in years! In fact, the staff has bi-weekly orgies on this bed!”

A spokesman for the owners of The Candlewood Inn, the InterContinental Hotels Group, told Daily Mail:

“IHG takes great pride in setting stringent quality standards, which we take very seriously. Any claim that a hotel is not following the standards falls below our expectations. This incident serves as a reminder to all hotels to enforce this important standard.”

Representatives from La Quinta Inn told Daily Mail:

“At La Quinta Inns & Suites, we strive to provide a positive, consistent guest experience at all of our branded hotels. This includes providing a clean guestroom for every guest. We have reached out to the management team at this franchised location to understand what happened and have addressed the issue.”

While I take solace in the fact that I’ll never have to sleep in a New York City hotel because I live here, I am absolutely buggin’ over all of the hotels I’ve slept at in the past, and how gross they were.

Woah dude. I mean, I know that you made a name for yourself, and got a movie made about yourself, for having massive balls and tackling an issue no one wants to talk about. You stuck you neck wayyyyy out there, banking on your intelligence, and you were right. That’s awesome. I’m all for it, and honestly, Concussion was a pretty decent movie. But this? I mean, I love a good conspiracy theory (my buddy tells me Hillary Clinton’s clone has been malfunctioning), but this one may be too far.

That, and the fact that would be espionage that this nation hasn’t seen since the like of Benedict Arnold.

Omalu is, maybe literally, one of the most respected doctors in the game. The dude took on the NFL and won, so you know the man means business. But DAYUM, that’s quite the hot take.

These wild rumors began weeks ago after Clinton had coughing fits a couple of public appearances, but the rampant speculation hit a fever pitch after she appeared to faint at a 9/11 memorial:

Kendra Childs was a day away from turning 20 when she was shot and killed on Tuesday, September 13 in her East Houston apartment. The shooting happened at Uvalde Ranch apartments on South Lake Houston Parkway. The young mother, who leaves behind a 2-year-old daughter, inspired Twitter users to tweet the hashtag #RIPKendra. Twitter users believe that a woman named Ling, who might have been Childs’ boyfriends’ ex-girlfriend, is responsible for the murder. However, police have no motive at this time.

The internet believes that a Twitter user named Linglingbaby, who uses the handle @__ladykocain, was an ex-girlfriend of Childs’ boyfriend and tweeted about her plans to kill someone. The tweets, including one that dates back to January, are still on Linglingbaby’s page.

Who was Kendra Childs?

Kendra Childs was a 19-year-old mother who was shot and killed the day before her 20th birthday.

What Happened?

Houston Police Department spokesman Victor Senties told the Houston Chronicle that Childs was killed while inside her second-story apartment. Police were called at around 12:15 p.m. after Childs’ boyfriend found her dead in their bedroom.

A cousin, Angel Woodward, later confirmed the victim’s identity and that she was the mother of a 2-year-old daughter, who was not in the apartment at the time of the murder.

According to ABC:

Detectives are trying to track down the suspects behind a deadly shooting inside an apartment that killed a young woman.

“Witnesses reported seeing a black newer model Camaro with standard rims and tinted windows drive by the house and fire multiple rounds,” Mark Holdbrook with the Houston Police Department homicide unit said.

According to police, a man and a woman were inside that car, and family members believe their loved one, Kendra Childs, 19, was targeted.

Who Is Linglingbaby?

Twitter users believe that Twitter user ‘linglingbaby’ was an ex-girlfriend of Childs’ boyfriend, who was jealous, and killed Childs.

You don’t need a blacklight to know that fraternities are gross places, rife with disease and grime. It seems like someone’s always sick in the house. But “Hoof and Mouth Disease,” which is known as “Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease” when people (not animals) have it, is a disease that makes even the realest of bros queasy.

What is “hand, foot, and mouth disease”? Well, it’s known as the Coxsackie virus, named after the town of Coxsackie, NY. You can read the feces-related history of the nomenclature here. What you really care about, though, is what it does. Essentially, you get a bad fever, followed by a huge breakout of painful blisters and lesions on your hands and feet, and in your mouth. It’s extremely contagious and somewhat painful. The Coxsackie virus also looks disgusting.

So when multiple FSU fraternity members from various organizations contracted the Coxsackie virus (hand, foot, and mouth disease), Florida State University Greek Life knew it was time to shut rush down. The last thing the school needs is a bunch of students running around with gross, painful blisters in their mouths and on their extremities.

Apparently, in addition to members of Greek life, the bartender at one of the more popular bars has it too. So everyone he’s served is potentially infected. Which is great.

Today is a wonderful day if you’re a fan of soccer because today there are multiple UEFA Champions League games. But in our opinion, there is no better game to watch than Juventus and Sevilla. Although Juventus is just two years removed from making it to the Champions League Finals, their team is looking much different this year.

If you’re a Juventus fan, you’re feeing pretty confident that the team is 3-0 in Italy Serie A games. If you’re a Sevilla fan, you feel good because you beat Juventus in the Champions League game last year. And if you are a neutral fan who just likes the beautiful game, then you’re feeling pretty amazing.

According to a listener of Boston sports radio dudes Toucher and Rick, Allen Iverson left his Hall of Fame trophy back in his hotel in Springfield. As you might remember, AI was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame along with Yao Ming, Shaquille O’Neal, and a few other players.

As part of the ceremony, Iverson was outfitted with a fittingly enormous jacket.

In addition to the jacket, he also received a personal trophy with his name on it. But apparently, the trophy didn’t mean very much to him becausehe left in his Springfield hotel room. This is a picture of the very ugly trophy, most likely sitting in a security guard room or something. Like, we’ve heard that Springfield is a rough city, but we hope their hotel rooms don’t have exposed concrete bricks showing.

South Park began airing its TWENTIETH season this year, which is a feat only a handful of heralded shows have accomplished.

To me, South Park is the greatest comedy television show of all time. The Simpsons was a little before my time, and Family Guy is trash. South Park, once known for its dirty humor, shocking images, and extreme subject matter, is now known for all three of those things, plus being scathing social commentary. It’s hard to believe, but Cartman, Stan, Kyle, Kenny & Butters have been in our lives for two decades.

In honor of the beginning of its 20th season, we decided to rank all of the seasons of South Park to figure out which is the best!

19. Season 14

This is the season with the prophet Muhammad. While the two episodes surrounding the censorship fiasco are strong, the rest of the season is just not that great. While there is no such thing as a truly bad season of South Park, this is the weakest.

18. Season 12

I’m judging these rankings by which seasons have the most memorable episodes, hence season 12 being this low. I’ve watched a lot of South Park in my day, and there are only a couple of episodes I can remember from this season. One is ‘The China Problem,’ which is the one where they make fun of Steven Spielberg and George Lucas for essentially sodomizing Indiana Jones. The other, which admittedly is one of my favorite episodes is ‘About Last Night,’ where Obama and McCain are actual partners in the 2008 election, making fun of Ocean’s Eleven. Boom baby.

17. Season 3

This is back when South Park was less societal commentary and more cut and dry shock humor. The is also the season where Butters is first introduced. Another reason this stands out is due to one of the most famous South Park episodes of all time, ‘Chinpokomon,’ which absolutely shredded the cultural phenomenon of Pokemon.

16. Season 16

Another rather mediocre season, season 16 is maybe the most average season of South Park there is. While there are no out and out bangers, there are also no duds. However, within this season is another one of my favorite all time episodes: ‘Insecurity.’ “Meanwhile the milkman’s f*cking your wife.”

15. Season 13

This is where it really starts to get hard, because as I’ve said earlier, there is no such thing as a bad season of South Park, there is only good and better. Season 13, while not classic, full of memorable episodes such as ‘The Coon’ ‘Fishsticks’ and ‘Margaritaville’.

14. Season 18

I hold season 18 near and dear because this was the first season that Trey Parker and Matt Stone introduced continuity to South Park. While South Park was showing no signs of slowing down, the addition of season-long arcs added a whole new, fresh dimension to the show. Plus, this is the season where we found out that Lorde is a 40-something-year-old male geologist from Colorado.

13. Season 2

Season 2 is wayyyy before I actually started watching, so these are episodes I watched years after the jokes were relevant. None-the-less, it’s still a hilarious string of episodes, and set the precedent for what was to come.

12. Season 17

Oh man, Season 17. Season 17 is this high on the list because of three episodes: the Game Of Thrones trilogy. Game Of Thrones was just beginning to establish itself as a cultural phenomenon, and South Park’s spin on it was absolutely sublime.

11. Season 4

Season 4 is important in the show’s lore, for it is the season the boys move from third up to fourth grade. While season 4 had its fair share of classics, there are a handful of filler episodes that keep it from being an all-time great. This is also the season that had Pip, whose role as the group’s b*tch would eventually be occupied by Butters.

10. Season 8

What I remember about season 8 is that it contains maybe the darkest characters to ever come out of the show: the Woodland Critters. If you don’t know, or remember, who and what they were, don’t even bother. It’s downright disturbing.

9. Season 15

Season 15 was another year where Trey and Matt seemed to reignite their creative juices. With brilliant episodes such as ‘Humancentipad,’ ‘City Sushi’, ‘You’re Getting Old’ season 15 was the best run the show had in a couple of years. After the success of The Book Of Mormon, and a downtick in quality, critics wondered in South Park would even continue. Not only did it continue, but it rounded out into the funniest show on television.

8. Season 11

Season 11 is when I truly started to fall in love with South Park. Season 11 is home to the best, and most imaginative, multi-parter in the show’s run: Imagination Land. The cultural references alone make these episodes great, let alone the truly hilarious plot idea that terrorists had decided to attack our imagination.

7. Season 7

Season 7 should be remembered as the season of Cartman. Cartman has always been far and away the show’s most famous character, but it seemed to be around this time that Trey and Matt realized the depths to which they could take him. The three episodes that center around Cartman display all of the different aspects of his sociopathic personality. This is also the season that has ‘Casa Bonita,’ which is the best Cartman/Butters episode to date.

6. Season 9

Season 9 is home to another one of South Park’s most famous, and most controversial, episodes: ‘Trapped in the Closet.’  Stan is dubbed the reincarnation of L. Ron Hubbard by a local group of Scientologists, causing a chain of bizarre events, such as Tom Cruise and John Travolta locking themselves in Stan’s closet and R&B singer R. Kelly turning the whole affair into an urban opera. I mean, if that’s not that most South Park episode of all time, I don’t know what is. In fact, TV Guide ranked this episode #17 on its list of the 100 Greatest Episodes. Combined with other classics such as ‘The Death of Eric Cartman’ and ‘Two Days Before the Day After Tomorrow,’ Season 9 just narrowly missed the top 5.

5. Season 5

I’m of the opinion is that season 5 was the launching pad for the South Park we all know and love today, and it’s all thanks to one episode. When (if?) South Park comes to the end of its run, the conversation about its legacy begins and ends with one episode: ‘Scott Tenorman Must Die.’ As I said earlier, Eric Cartman is South Park’s most famous, and most pivotal character, and this episode is where he was born. Without this episode, the show would never be where he is today.

“Dude, I think it might be best of us to never piss off Cartman again.”

4. Season 6

I remember this season for being the first without Kenny, after Trey and Matt finally permanently killed him off in the prior season. Season 6 continued the momentum the show gained in season 5, with classics such as ‘A Ladder To Heaven,’ ‘The Return of the Fellowship of the Ring to the Two Towers,’ and ‘Asspen.’ The reason season 6 is so strong is because the death of Kenny opened up new possibilities for the show, mainly, the promotion of Butters to a main character. Some argue that, along with Randy and Cartman, Butters is one of the funniest characters on the show.

3. Season 1

Season 1 is this high on the list because of its lore: the first season of South Park was unlike anything television has ever seen. Yes, including The Simpsons. I mean, hell, the FIRST episode was called ‘Cartman Gets an Anal Probe.’ Critics suggest that the launch of South Park transformed Comedy Central from a “not-so-funny” network to “a cable industry power almost overnight.” South Park became immediately one of the most popular shows on cable television, averaging consistently between 3.5 and 5.5 million viewers. A show, and a season, that impactful deserves to be in the top 3.

2. Season 19

That’s right, I consider South Park‘s most recent season to be its second best. Continuing the serialized storytelling that they introduced in the prior season, South Park seemed to get a full grasp of how to handle season long arcs and plots, and boy, did they take off. Season 19 proved that not only is South Park as funny as ever, but it has the capability to support legitimately quality story telling. For the first time in its run, the show was able to perfect balance humor and story, creating a nearly perfect comedy television show.

1. Season 10

Season 10 is far and away the greatest season of South Park, and frankly, it isn’t even close. This is a season full of all-time greats, such as ‘Make Love Not Warcraft,’ ‘Hell on Earth 2006,’  ‘ManBearPig,’ and of course, ‘Cartoon Wars’ (the Family Guy episodes). As I have been saying all along, these rankings are more or less based on which seasons had the most memorable episodes, and in that regard, the tenth season is the clear cut winner. Side note: this is the first season in which Kenny does not die and the last season featuring Isaac Hayes, the voice of Chef.

Champions League group play is underway with a Group F match between defending Champions League winners Real Madrid and Sporting Lisbon.

While Sporting Lisbon is at the top of the Portuguese Primeira Liga after winning all four of their games,  the 18-time Portuguese champions have never defeated a Spanish club in Spain. Before joining Manchester United in 2003, Cristiano Ronaldo actually played for Sporting. Real Madrid is coming into the game in top form, as they cruised to 5-2 victory over Osasuna on Saturday.

Cristiano Ronaldo is back in action after missing most of the summer due to the injury he sustained in the European Championship Final. With the return of their star player, look for Real Madrid to win the game quite handily.

Ashley Block, a University of Georgia graduate student, was one of three UGA students who were hit by a Jeep while cycling in Athens, GA. Although the two other cyclists involved in the accident were seriously injured, Ashley is thought to have died instantly.

Who Was Ashley?

Ashley was from Minneapolis, MN and was studying Anthropology while at UGA.

What Happened?

Block and her two cycling friends, Mitchell Enfinger and Brian Molloy, were cycling in east Athens, GA on Athena Drive, when 31-year-old Whitney Baker Howard drove across the center dividing line on the highway and struck all three cyclists. Police say that Howard told them that she was driving under the influence of prescription drugs and that she also had been talking on her cell phone.

Howard has been charged with first-degree homicide by vehicle, serious injury by vehicle, driving under the influence, DUI endangerment, failure to maintain a lane, and distracted driving.

Tottenham Hotspur open their Champions League play today as they host French side AS Monaco at Wembley Stadium in a Group E matchup. It’s the first Champions League game for Tottenham Hotspur in 5 years, since they lost in the 2010-11 Champions League quarterfinals against Real Madrid.

Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs team are in a very tough group with perennial Champions League squads CSKA Moscow, Bayer Leverkusen, and of course, AS Monaco.

Earlier this week, the NCAA moved all championship games out of the state of North Carolina in a show of solidarity with LGBTQ groups because of the controversial bathroom law HB2. It was an extremely strong punishment to North Carolina, a state that prides itself on collegiate sports, and one that has been called a true “punch to the gut.”

But today, the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) doubled down on the NCAA’s move and has similarly moved all of its neutral site championships from the state of North Carolina.

“The ACC Council of Presidents made it clear that the core values of this league are of the utmost importance, and the opposition to any form of discrimination is paramount,” ACC commissioner John Swofford said. “Today’s decision is one of principle, and while this decision is the right one, we recognize there will be individuals and communities that are supportive of our values as well as our championship sites that will be negatively affected. Hopefully, there will be opportunities beyond 2016-17 for North Carolina neutral sites to be awarded championships.”

So now, the ACC has joined the NBA and the NCAA in punishing North Carolina for a law that they see as immoral. It’s one thing for the NCAA or even the NBA to boycott North Carolina, but when the ACC goes ahead and does that–you know something’s up. North Carolina accounts for four out of the fifteen ACC colleges, and 50% of what I would consider the ACC’s “Big Four” (UNC, Duke, FSU, and Miami). This is not a decision that the ACC makes lightly, you can be sure.

Or maybe, just maybe, this is the power move behind teams like VT, Miami, or FSU to give their own teams a real chance at playing at a “neutral site.”

Obviously, the UNC Tarheels and the Duke Blue Devils are two of the biggest teams in college basketball, but the ACC has long been one of the perennial powerhouses for many sports. Women’s soccer, men’s soccer, women’s lacrosse, men’s lacrosse, field hockey, women’s tennis, baseball, and now (most importantly) football. Last year, the ACC Championship between Clemson and UNC brought in $35 million of revenue to Charlotte. That’s a ton of cash for just a single game. Now add on the fact that the NBA All-Star game was moved from Charlotte ($100 million) and you’re starting to understand the North Carolina government might be changing their law sometime soon.

South Park will make its 20th season premiere tonight, and I couldn’t be more excited. A couple of days ago, Jinhua Zoo, a zoo in China’s central Zhejiang province, was reported to have published the news of a newborn gorilla on social media, and naturally, asked the public to help name him. You can imagine what happened next.

At the beginning of the poll, ‘Heijin’ was the front-runner with a few hundred votes. That was until one truly brave genius decided to suggest the name ‘Harambe McHarambeface,’ a cross of Harambe and the legendary Boaty McBoatface. As soon as news of the naming competition spread across the internet, Harambe McHarambeface reportedly took a commanding lead with an astounding 73,345 votes. Those 73,345 votes accounted for 93% of the total votes.

Unfortunately for planet Earth, it turns out this was all a sham. The site that originally published the story, the Boston Leader, has since deleted the article. This is because the Boston Leader is a fake ass site, as the story about Harambe McHarambeface is the only one they have ever published.

So, essentially, someone loves Harambe memes so goddamn much that they created an entirely fake website just to publish a blatantly fake story about a fake gorilla being fakely named Harambe McHarambeface.

I think it’s safe to say this whole Haramabe thing has officially gotten out of control. I still love everything about it, but out of control nonetheless.

Is the NFL allergic to good decisions? Seriously, at this point, I wonder if the NFL holds weekly meetings where they deliberate about how they can royally f*ck up next. Whether it be pissing off women, military vets, or essentially every other demographic in this great nation, the NFL just knows how to grind people’s gears. Now, they may have taken their first step into alienating what may be their most valuable demographic: the bros.

In an almost unprecedented move of stupidity, the NFL has banned the customization of “HARAMBE” jerseys. That’s right, the No Fun League has found a way to crap on Harambe’s memory. THANKS`, Goodell.

ESPN’s Darren Rovell noted Wednesday the NFL has prohibited fans from customizing jerseys with the name of everyone’s favorite gorilla. And sure enough, when you visit the league’s official online fan shop and try to put “Harambe” on the nameplate, you get an error message.

All jokes aside (and yes, making fun of the NFL is hilarious), I really don’t get their logic here. Who are they trying to protect? The Cincinnati Zoo employees? Their faithful patrons? Harambe’s offspring? Who in the f*ck could they be trying to appease? If the internet has proven anything, it’s that most people love a good Harambe meme. In fact, I’d say 8 out of every 10 human beings enjoy the Harambe memes.

But the NFL doesn’t give a sh*t. Throw your girl on a pile of guns? Play for the Cowboys. Rape a chick? Be a quarterback for the Steelers. Trying to make a customized Harambe jersey? Oh no no no, says the NFL, that’s taking it too far.

If it’s contractually possible, I can see Goodell being fired within the next calendar year.

Tonight is the night that American Horror Story finally returns! The upcoming sixth season of the FX horror anthology television series American Horror Story was announced on November 10, 2015. It is scheduled to premiere on September 14, 2016, the first time the series has debuted outside of October in its history. Details about the season’s plot and cast have been kept secret, an approach to publicity unusual for the series, as the theme of the season is usually a part of AHS marketing strategy.

What is known about the cycle’s theme is that it will revolve around children, and in the words of co-creator Ryan Murphy will be “more rogue” and “dark,” in contrast to the previous season, Hotel. After the release of pictures taken from the set in Santa Clarita, it has been widely speculated that the season will incorporate the infamous 1590s Roanoke Colony disappearance. This is the first season not to release a subtitle before the premiere since the first season. However, although not officially confirmed, it has been widely reported by the media that the subtitle will be American Horror Story: The Mist.

Lat August, creator Ryan Murphy said:

“The next thing we’re crafting up is very very different than [Hotel], not smaller. But just not opulent. More rogue and more dark.”

In October 2015, when questioned about clues and hints alluding to the sixth season in Hotel, Murphy revealed he had yet to definitively decide on a theme:

“This is an interesting year in that the idea that we’re dealing with I’ve mentioned in several seasons. It’s been there before. We’ve actually talked about it a lot on the show. I might do that for season 7 but I’m leaning towards that for season 6.”

While little is still known about the theme, it was reported by Entertainment Weekly that the season is quite possibly subtitled The Mist.

12-year-old singer Grace VanderWaal is the latest winner of America’s Got Talent. According to host Simon Cowell, the pre-teen ukelele playing Taylor Swift lookalike is maybe the most talented contestant to ever compete on the show.

However, she did not always want to be on America’s Got Talent, as she originally had dreams of competing on American Idol.
