This past weekend, just a of couple days into school, there was already an off-campus pool party brawl at Texas State University. The brawl happened at Trapstone, a free party at the Village at Telluride houses. We’re not sure exactly how things started jumping off, but it’s pretty clear that the guy who threw the first punch actually lost the fight.

That spear is absolutely brutal. And then he takes a couple of punches. But first, the guy with long hair who seems to be directly involved in the fight takes one punch in the head, then falls into the pool like a doll, laying there with his head underwater.

My favorite guy in the fight, though? The dude with the long hair and white hat. He’s the best one to watch. First, he gets pushed out of the way by his own friend. Then he comes back into the fight, takes one punch, then runs away like a little girl. One punch, run. One punch, run. Then flex for the crowd. Always a winning combination.

There are a lot of women I could name who would be listed in the dictionary under the phrase “White Girl Wasted” but I think my newest addition, Anna Hauser aka #PaintGirl, is my favorite. This chick famously tracked paint all throughout the Kent State Sigma Chi fraternity house after she allegedly slipped and fell in a bucket of white paint which she claims was open and in the bathroom.

The first Monday Night Football matchup of the 2016 season is a doozy, as the Pittsburgh Steelers are traveling to Landover, Maryland to take on the Washington Redskins. Both of these teams are coming off playoff berths in 2015, and they can both light up the scoreboard.

In 2015, Pittsburgh was tied for the fourth highest-scoring offense in the NFL, putting up 26.4 points per game. They went 10-6 to finish in second place in the AFC North and lock up a Wild Card spot. The Steelers traveled to Cinncinati to beat the Bengals in the Wild Card round of the playoffs, but they would later fall to the Broncos in Denver in the Divisional round.

The Redskins boasted the league’s 10th highest-scoring offense in 2015, averaging 24.3 points per game. They won the NFC East with a 9-7 record, but they were unable to advance past the Wild Card round of the playoffs. The Packers came into Washington and knocked the Skins out of the playoffs with a 35-18 drubbing.

The Steelers will be very short-handed in this Week 1 clash against the Redskins. All-World running back Le’Veon Bell and game-breaking wideout Martavis Bryant will both be missing the game due to suspensions for their love of the ganja. Wide receiver Markus Wheaton is also expected to miss tonight’s game with a shoulder injury. I’m guessing Kirk Cousins likes all of this very much.

The first Monday night game of the new season happens in the nation’s capital a day after the 15th anniversary of 9/11, with the Washington Redskins hosting the Pittsburgh Steelers. Washington is looking for a big year out of Kirk Cousins while Pittsburgh had to find a way to survive with LeVeon Bell for the first three weeks and getting Ben Roethlisberger the protection he needs to be successful. It leads to an interesting game. Here is a look at the matchup.

The Steelers still have their great defense and now have a dangerous pass game with Big Ben and Antonio Brown. This is a game where that pass game will be needed early and often against Washington. If Brown can have another game like he did all year in 2015, it’s going to be very difficult for them to be beat. This is a Pittsburgh team that is going to be under the national spotlight a ton in 2016 and starting with a win in this game would be a great start to their season. Look for a big game from DeAngelo Williams with Bell being out.

Washington had to be happy with their playoff performance last season after going 9-7. They will have to be better in 2016 to make the playoffs again. The rushing game must improve with Matt Jones serving now as the lead running back and the defense will have to step it up. This will be a big challenge against the Steelers but it is a chance for the Redskins to prove that adding Josh Norman was a great idea and he will likely be on Brown all night long shadowing his every move. If the Redskins can slow the pass game, this is a game that they can win.

The New York Jets will travel to Buffalo to face off against the Bills in a Week 2 Thursday Night Football clash. This matchup has all the makings of a hard-hitting, fiercely competitive, low-scoring affair. Both of these AFC East teams are desperate for a win, as they both dropped their Week 1 matchups. It might not sound too bad on paper, but an 0-2 start is practically a death sentence to a team’s playoff hopes in the NFL.

In the Bills’ Week 1 loss, they were beaten 13-7 in Baltimore by the Ravens in a very sloppy performance. The Bills only mustered 160 yards of total offense, as quarterback Tyrod Taylor (111 passing yards), running back LeSean McCoy (58 rushing yards), and wide receiver Sammy Watkins (43 receiving yards) all struggled. And just when things looked like they couldn’t possibly get any worse for Buffalo’s anemic offense, it was announced that Watkins could miss several games due to a foot injury.

In the Jets’ Week 1 loss, they played the Bengals extremely tough, but they ultimately couldn’t secure a win in their home opener. Mike Nugent hit a 47-yard field goal with 54 seconds left in the 4th quarter to give the Bengals a 23-22 lead. That would end up being the final score, as Ryan Fitzpatrick threw an interception on the Jets’ ensuing drive.

Rex Ryan had the number of his former team last season, as the Bills went 2-0 against the Jets, including keeping them out of the playoffs with a 22-17 Week 17 win. Here’s how you can watch the Jets try to get revenge on that foot-loving maniac.

In our humble opinion, the NBA 2K games are the best NBA video games on the market. The franchise is always trying to improve itself year after year, but for some reason they still can’t get the whole “face scan” thing down right. Players looking to create an NBA-caliber version of themselves are asked if they’d like to use an Xbox Kinect or smartphone to import their face onto their avatar, versus painstakingly trying to recreate their beautiful mug with various sliders and categories. Who’d turn down the face scan?

Thankfully, these people didn’t.

RG3 just cannot take a break, or a hit, after we learned today that the Cleveland Browns starting QB has broken his coracoid bone in his left shoulder, forcing the Browns to put him on the Injury Reserve. It would seem as though Robert Griffin III broke his shoulder in the fourth quarter when he tried running out of bounds, only to hit a cornerback right at the sideline. It looked bad when it happened, and now it seems worse.

Daniel Hamilton Magee, an 18-year-old student at the University of Texas-Austin, has been arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon following the shooting at the Sigma Chi fraternity house over the weekend. During the altercation in the fraternity house, security guard Edward Earls was shot in the foot.

Here’s how it went down, according to the Austin-American Statesman:

The report said members of the fraternity asked an on-site security guard, Edward Earls, to kick Magee out because he was causing problems.

“Magee became upset and had to be physically removed by Earls,” the document said. “When Magee got to the front gate of the fraternity house Magee made verbal threats to return to the party with an AK-47 rifle and shoot up the place.”

About 45 minutes later, Magee returned with two others.

Witnesses told investigators one of the men pulled out a gun and fired one round at Earls, striking him in the foot, the affidavit said.

Apparently, right after the shooting the Austin SWAT team showed up and arrested Daniel and his two roommates. It’s unknown whether or not the apartments allowed for concealed carry guns, like the entire campus of UT-Austin does. We’re just happy that no one was killed.

Update: An earlier report of the story stated that Daniel is a student at UT-Austin. He is not.

The final game of the Week 1 schedule finds a team in Los Angeles for the first time in over two decades as the Rams return home to their longtime place of business. The team will hit the road to face the San Francisco 49ers. This is a game that features two teams struggling with the quarterback position and in need of a lot of help all over the field. There has been plenty of turmoil around San Francisco with the Colin Kaepernick situation. He will be Blaine Gabbert’s backup for the opener and could be in that position for the whole season. This lovely backheel by Callum Wilson was the only goal in Bournemouth’s win against West Brom.

3.) Troy Deeney- Watford

It looked like it was going to be a rough day for Watford when they fell behind West Ham 2-0 in the first half at the Olympic Stadium on Saturday. But Watford showed great resilience, and turned the game on its head to win 4-2. This Troy Deeney chip needed to be placed absolutely perfectly, and the Watford captain delivered for the equalizer.

Steven Defour’s blast from Steph Curry range earns him the second spot on the list. Burnley and Hull each got one goal apiece, with Robert Snodgrass’s splendid free kick on this list as an honorable mention.

There were plenty of goals this week that could arguably be atop this list, a center back scoring  a ridiculous bicycle kick like this will always be hard to beat. The Southampton keeper was actually in good position, but Koscielny’s overhead strike was simply unstoppable.

On Sunday, September 11 2016, Savvy Shields was crowned Miss America 2017. The 21-year-old Fayetteville, Arkansas native beat out 51 other contestants to emerge victorious, and she will now succeed Betty Cantrell as the new Miss America. Patrice “Tricey” Monroe is a 4th grade teacher at a public school in Georgia who was just called the “sexiest teacher in America.” The title came today after Instagram pictures, featuring the curvy woman in school-appropriate clothing, went viral.

Patrice goes by @ParisMonroe on Instagram, likely not because of any other reasons except for the fact that it’s her nickname. Still, though, with a title like “sexiest teacher in America,” there are people who are going to come out of the woodwork to hate you. Is she curvy? Yes. Is she attractive? No doubt. The NFL season is finally back, and one of the best games of the week is a Monday Night Football matchup between two playoff teams from last year, as the Pittsburgh Steelers visit the Washington Redskins. The Redskins were the 2015 NFC East Champions, while the Steelers got into the playoffs as a wildcard.

The Steelers, led by Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown, are one of this year’s Superbowl favorites, especially in the AFC. Despite the suspensions of wide receiver Martavis Bryant and Pro Bowl running back Leveon Bell, the Steelers are still expected to be one of the league’s highest scoring offenses.

Steve Smith Sr. is an ageless wonder. Beginning his fifteenth season in the NFL, the diminutive Ravens receiver has earned his reputation as one of the best trash talkers in league history, and he usually backs up that brash talk on the field.  Frankly, Smith is not someone whose bad side you want to get on, as one reporter learned all to well during yesterday’s post-game interview after Baltimore’s 13-7 week one win over the Buffalo Bills.

The reporter seemed to by trying to stir the pot by asking Smith how he felt about not being the one to catch the game’s lone touchdown pass, and Smith responded like the true OG he is by shutting the guy down and putting him in his place.

As we have learned over the years, it is definitely not a good idea to make this guy angry:

A shooting has occurred near Valley Forge Military Academy in Radnor Township, Pennsylvania. The shooting took place at the 1000 block of Eagle Road, close to the campus. Emergency crews are responding to the shooting, according to NBC Philadelphia, citing Delaware County officials.

CBS’s local Philadelphia station reports:

A spokesperson for the Valley Forge Military Academy tells Eyewitness News that the shooting did not take place on the campus, and did not involve any faculty or students.

Valley Forge Military Academy and College is a military boarding school with students of middle, high school and college age. Tge Delaware County school was established in 1928.

Update:

Police said they put the school on lockdown while they searched buildings, but found no evidence of a shooting nor any victims as of around 7 pm EST. The lockdown has since ended.

Monday Night Football kicks off it’s 2016 season with a double header. The later game features the newly relocated Los Angeles Rams visiting the San Fransisco 49ers in Santa Clara. This will be the Rams first game as the Los Angeles Rams since 1995.

Unfortunately, expectations for both of these teams are not that high this season. The San Fransisco 49ers have created more headlines on the field than off of it. Led by first-round bust Blaine Gabbert, San Fransisco is looking like they will be one of the worst team in the National Football League.

As for the Los Angeles, Rams fans should expect yet another season of mediocrity. Over the last 3 years, the Rams have finished 7-9, 6-10, and 7-9. Look for the Rams to finish with a similar record this year. After trading up for the number 1 pick in the NFL Draft, the Rams selected University of California quarterback Jared Goff. However, not only is Goff not starting, but is not even dressing for the week 1 game.

The 49ers and Rams will probably be one of the uglier games of the week, but football is football, so make sure you find out how to live stream it below!
