The NFL has given Odell Beckham Jr. a one game suspension for using his own helmet to target Josh Norman’s helmet during last night’s Giants vs. Panthers game. You can watch a replay of the childish and dangerous play below.

As you can see, these dangerous antics occurred in the third quarter when the Giants were down 35-7. But because the referees somehow skipped out on ejecting OBJ, the Pro Bowl WR stayed in the game and eventually caught a game-tying TD pass. The Giants would eventually lose by a FG, but still–the refs messed this one up big time.

In a time when the NFL has to be more careful about hits to the head than ever before, how can they miss something that blatant and dangerous? Are they trying to promote Will Smith’s injury?

Odell Beckham Jr. Suspension

You didn’t need a perfect Wonderlic score to predict that OBJ was getting a suspension. As stated above, his suspension will be for one game. He will not play during the NY Giants home game against the Minnesota Vikings.

We’re also expecting some sort of fine to come out of this.

The suspension would hurt the Giants because he’s easily their most explosive offensive player, and they need to win the rest of their games to possibly make the Playoffs. The NFL will also lose out since they decided to flex the upcoming Giants vs. Vikings to the primetime slot. Now that OBJ will be absent from the roster, you can bet that less people will be watching.

That’s another reason that the NFL will be kicking itself for not properly punishing OBJ for his dirty hit.

This isn’t the first time that OBJ has been involved in behavior warranting punishment. Earlier this season he was fined $8,681 for punching Bills safety Duke Williams or lineback Preston Brown, both of whom accused OBJ of after-the-whistle dirty plays.

The Nebraska Cornhuskers are the 2015 NCAA Women’s Volleyball National Champions. The No. 4 seed Nebraska beat No. 3 seed Texas in a three-set sweep.

Nebraska, who was 34-4 on the year, beat their Big 10 rivals in front of a NCAA volleyball-record 17,561 fans. Nebraska had previously lost 5 consecutive matches, and 9 of their last 10,  to Texas, who was 30-3 on the year.

“I think we had game point, and I can’t remember who said it, but they said, ‘I thought my eardrums were going to pop,'” setter Kelly Hunter said. “Just playing in front of the fans that we get to play in front of every home match is honestly unreal, and a lot of teams don’t see that.”

“The environment tonight, the setting, Nebraska vs. Texas, and the crowd, national championship match, ESPN, everything else that went with it — and for us to come out and play a great match against a great team was just awesome to watch,” coach John Cook said. “I can say I’m really proud, which I am, but I’m really more proud of this team on the journey they took to get to this point and to be able to play their best match.”

Olivia Jackson, one of the hottest stuntwomen in the industry, was recently involved in an awful accident on set of the new Resident Evil: The Final Chapter movie. The experienced veteran collided with a metal camera arm while filming in her native country, South Africa, back in September.

Finals week — the bane of every college student’s existence. It’s the one week where it’s completely normal to see students passed out on random surfaces all around campus, and to see student’s puling all-nighters with nothing but coffee and Redbull to sustain them. This week can be defined in one simple word: Hell.

In the middle of hell week, some students turn to prayer, some students turn to Adderall, but me? I decided to take a slightly different approach… I turned to my brand new tablet. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 saved my life in more ways than one.

Here are the 5 ways my Tab S2 saved my finals week:

1. The Easy Note Taking Capabilities.

As someone who has always been a die-hard Apple fan, I was shocked and amazed to find that unlike my iPhone, which only has a “Notes” app to jot down quick reminders, my tablet came fully equipped with Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel, and basically everything else a student needs to take notes and study.

2. The Big Screen

The 8-inch screen is exactly the perfect size for a million things. It’s roughly the same size as a book, so reading my textbooks and notes online felt more natural than reading them on a clunky laptop. And when I needed to de-stress from the hectic storm that is finals week, I crawled into bed and watched Netflix on my tablet. I mean, studying is hard; I deserve to treat myself to one episode (or five) of The Office, right?

3. The Camera

The amazingly clear camera came in so clutch. I mean, I could take the time to write out everything the professor is saying, OR I could simply take a picture of the notes on his blackboard with my tablet and then go back to stalking Justin Beiber’s Instagram and pretending to pay attention whenever the professor looked my way. One of these is clearly the better option.

4. The Size

If there’s one thing I hate, it’s walking around campus with a giant laptop in my bag, weighing down my purse and causing an ache in my shoulder. The Galaxy Tab S2 is so light it’s like you’re not carrying anything at all, and it’s slender enough to fit in even the skinniest of backpacks. No longer will I have to walk around with a huge bag looking like “The Hunchback of Notre Dame”. Now I can slide my tablet into one of my favorite purses and be out of my dorm faster than ever.

5. The Apps

Even with the Microsoft Office applications already installed onto the tablet, sometimes finals week calls for more than just a word document. I was able to create a “Finals Week” folder on my tablet with ease that included life-saving apps like “Evernote and Quizlet”. With “Google Documents” I was able to share notes with my friends in classes and receive notes from them as well. With YouTube I was able to watch lectures online that were much easier to understand than whatever babble my professors were spewing. I like to think that my “Finals Week” app folder single-handedly helped me pass Microeconomics, because trust me, I couldn’t have done it on my own.

Don’t resort to energy drinks next semester. Get smart and get yourself a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2, and save yourself some stress.

Christmas is a few days away, and if you’re anything like us, you’re scrambling for any last minute gifts needed for family members left on your list. Also, by “any,” we mean “all.”

Our advice to you? Start with the easiest people on your list first – AKA your Dad, your brother, your boyfriend (whether that be a friend or an actual boyfriend), and any other dude in your life. They’re easy to please and plus, you can relate! Get them the cool sh*t! The stuff they probably can’t buy themselves because the women in their lives are telling them no. Sure, they may hate you afterwards! But so what?! It’ll be worth it to see the look on Dad’s face when he realizes he’s going swimming with some Caribbean sharks unprotected.

There are some expectations when a bowl game called the Armed Forces Bowl comes up on the schedule. One of those expectations is that a military team will be in the game. The Air Force Falcons would fit that description and the 8-5 Falcons will face the 7-5 California Golden Bears on December 29 at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth looking to finish the season strong.

Air Force lost their last two games of the regular season including a 27-24 loss to San Diego State to end the year. Karson Roberts has thrown for 1,446 yards, nine touchdowns and ten interceptions for the year while looking deep for Jalen Robinette. Robinette has 21 catches for 572 yards and four touchdowns this season. The ground game is where the Falcons have been best though. Jacobi Owens has rushed for 1,009 yards and six touchdowns. This is game with very different styles with the Air Force rush game against the California pass game. Time of possession will be very key in this one.

California finished the regular season with a big 48-46 win over Arizona State. Jared Goff threw for 4,252 yards, 37 touchdowns and 13 interceptions during the year and found Bryce Treggs 41 times for 813 yards and six touchdowns along the way. Khalfani Muhammad has been leading the Bears running the ball with 539 yards on the ground and a touchdown. Goff faces an Air Force defense that is only allowing 190.4 yards per game passing. That could be a major problem for California if they can’t get the passing game going.

The early bowl schedule usually doesn’t allow for two highly-ranked teams to get together. The Russell Athletic Bowl however will give college football fans a feast to enjoy on December 29 at the Florida Citrus Bowl when the 11-2 North Carolina Tar Heels face the 9-3 Baylor Bears. It is a matchup made in heaven for fans who can watch a game on a Tuesday afternoon before most are off from work.

North Carolina rode an eleven-game winning streak into the ACC title game where they would lose 45-37 to Clemson. Marquise Williams has passed for 2,829 yards, 21 touchdowns and nine interceptions this season and has a target any quarterback would want in Mack Hollins. Hollins has 28 catches for 711 yards and eight touchdowns. Elijah Hood has been a hard man to stop in the ground game with 1,345 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns. The Tar Heels have a chip on their shoulder now and average 486.9 yards a game and want to prove something in this game.

Baylor lost three of their last four games which included losing 23-17 to Texas to end the regular season. The Bears will also be without their three biggest stars in Jarrett Stidham, Corey Coleman and Shock Linwood for this game which hampers the Baylor attack in a very big way. Chris Johnson will quarterback the Bears with his 220 passing yards and three touchdowns for the season. Johnny Jefferson will take over the running game and has 701 rushing yards and five touchdowns. The next leading receiver for Baylor is KD Cannon, who had 46 catches for 828 yards and six touchdowns. The Bears have a big test ahead of them.

There are a few things that are very unique to the Arizona Bowl that will be played at Arizona Stadium in Tucson. The game will not be a nationally televised basis via ESPN or ABC and the game will feature two teams from the same conference in the Mountain West as the 6-6 Nevada Wolf Pack face the 7-5 Colorado State Rams. The two teams didn’t play each other during the regular season.

Nevada lost their last two games of the regular season with a 31-14 loss to San Diego State to end their year. Tyler Stewart has passed for 2,065 yards, 15 touchdowns and seven interceptions during the regular season while looking the direction of Hasaan Henderson 50 times for 709 yards and four touchdowns. James Butler has been hard to slow down on the ground with 1,156 yards rushing and eight touchdowns. Nevada would love to find a way to break their losing streak any way possible.

Colorado State won their last four games including a 34-31 win over Fresno State to complete the regular season. Nick Stevens passed for 2,369 yards, 21 touchdowns and 12 interceptions this year and Rashard Higgins had 66 catches for 933 yards and eight scores. Dalyn Dawkins has 805 rushing yards and two touchdowns on the ground. The Rams finished in a four-way tie for second place in their division of the Mountain West and want to show that they played in the tougher part of the conference and can do that with a win in this game.

The LSU Tigers looked like one of the best teams in the country for a long time this season. After the Tigers ran into a buzz saw against Alabama, the team went into a tailspin for a long time which appeared to seal Les Miles’ fate as coach. Miles survived and now LSU will travel to NRG Stadium in Houston to face the Texas Tech Red Raiders on December 29. LSU comes into the game with an 8-3 record while Texas Tech is 7-5.

LSU broke their three-game losing streak with a 19-7 win over Texas A&M to end the regular season at home. Brandon Harris passed for 1,904 yards, 12 touchdowns and five interceptions this year while finding Malachi Dupre 39 times for 602 yards and six touchdowns. Leonard Fournette looked like a lock for the Heisman Trophy early in the season but faltered late. Fournette still finished with 1,741 yards rushing and 18 touchdowns. The Tigers can continue their rebound and make sure Miles is on solid footing going into next season with a win here.

Texas Tech won their final two games of the regular season and scored a combined 107 points in the process. Pat Mahomes has thrown for 4,283 yards, 32 touchdowns and 14 interceptions this year while having a favorite target in Jakeem Grant. Grant has 80 catches for 1,143 yards and seven touchdowns. DeAndre Washington makes sure it isn’t all about the pass game with his 1,455 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns. The Red Raiders average 46.6 points and 594.5 yards a game. This could easily turn into a shootout where over 100 points are scored.
