Charlie was celebrating big brother/little brother with the rest of his fraternity and pledge class but after some time, the big brother left the house. When he came back, Charlie was unresponsive. Around 12:30 cameras, an ambulance and police cars were spotted outside the house.

Update: It’s now being reported by news sites that Charlie’s body wasn’t found until 10:30 AM in his house on Lee Street. The fraternity has been placed on “administrative suspension” from the PIKE National Chapter. An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.

That’s all the information that’s available right now, but the news is tragic. What a tough year for USC. First the school shooting and now this.

For the most part, USC students are being incredibly supportive on the social media site Yik Yak. Some are using his death as an excuse to rant against fraternities in general.

The 19-year-old blonde, who graduated from high school last year with honors (and won homecoming queen) is gaining attention from her Twitter selfie, which shows just how gorgeous she’s quickly become. Unfortunately her social is private (bummer), but at least we have this photo to hold us over (until we can find that Instagram).

UVA student Martese Johnson was arrested last St. Patrick’s Day outside of Trinity Irish Pub in Charlottesville after trying to use a fake ID. CavalierDaily.com reports the scene:

Johnson was arrested on charges of resisting arrest, obstructing justice without threats of force, and profane swearing or intoxication in public. The arresting officer was Alcohol and Beverage Control special agent J. Miller.

Miller noted on the arrest record that Johnson “was very agitated and belligerent but [has] no previous criminal history.”

In the course of the arrest, Johnson sustained a head injury requiring 10 stitches.

Johnson was held at $1,500 bail with the specification he be released on an unsecured bond when sober. He was released at 6:01 a.m. Wednesday morning.

It doesn’t take a genius to see that this scene is pretty brutal. There’s a whole lotta blood leaking down his face and we’re not the only ones who feel this way. The Black Dot, a student advocacy group, released the photo you see above and released a statement to CavalierDaily.

An email from Black Dot, signed by “Concerned Black Students,” said the arrest was unprovoked as Johnson was not resisting questioning or arrest. The email included a photo of Johnson bleeding while being held outside Trinity.

“Outside of the doors of Trinity Irish Pub, a mass of University students bore witness to the officer’s animalistic, insensitive, and brute handling of Martese,” the email said. “He was left with his blood splattered on the pavement of University Avenue.”

The email asks for a “swift and thorough investigation on the state, local and University levels.”

Here’s a video from the scene that was also recorded.

In response to the arrest and alleged police brutality, the Black Dot organized a community rally attended by hundreds of students, faculty members, and locals. Johnson while declining to speak to reporters, had this to say to those in attendance.

Brown obviously has been in the NBA game before so he knows what it takes for a playoff berth and believes that Kentucky could actually beat some of the real bad teams in the East like the Knicks and 76ers. It is hard to know whether or not they could actually do something like that but it is always fun to think about it.

The East this season has been terrible and there is going to be at least one team probably who finishes below the .500 mark that makes the playoffs. Kentucky could do just as well probably before going into the postseason. A seven-game series between Kentucky and the 76ers could actually come down to that seventh and final game with the talent of those two teams.

Newsflash: it’s too late, everyone already does love you. We plan to keep that love going forever (or until someone catches us outside of her apartment…with binoculars).

Charlie Terreni Jr. is confirmed to be the USC student and Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity member who was found dead at 10:30 Wednesday morning at his 2319 Lee Street residence. While Charlie’s name hasn’t been announced by the Columbia County Coroner’s office, a spokesman for the Terreni family has confirmed the name.

The cause of death is still unknown, pending a toxicology report but the coroner has said there were no “traumatic injuries.”

Charlie, an 18-year old student originally from Columbia, South Carolina had been reportedly celebrating his big brother/little brother night with his PIKE brothers Tuesday night. This has not been confirmed. His fraternity was placed on “administrative suspension” by Nationals at around 4:30 PM on Tuesday.

Charlie is being described by his many friends as an amazing person–funny, lively, a real man’s man, and caring. His father, Charlie Terreni Sr., is a well known attorney in Columbia, SC.

News like this is never easy to swallow, so it’s important that everyone (brothers or otherwise) do their best to make sure we don’t have to write about tragedies like this again.

If you’re lucky enough to be sitting at home or in your room during gametime (see the 2nd round of the NCAA Tournament schedule here) just turn on the television to truTV, TBS, TNT, or CBS. One of the games is bound to be playing there.

Alternatively, you could head to a bar which should be playing every game on a flatscreen. If the bar isn’t playing those games, we suggest you take your business elsewhere.

How To Stream March Madness Online

This year streaming March Madness online is very easy if you have a TV provider. Simply head NCAA.com/march-madness-live/live-games and enter your TV provider username and password. You’ll then be able to watch all 67 games with no interruption.

If you don’t have a television provider, then you’ll only be able to watch the games for a certain duration of time.

How To Watch NCAA March Madness On Your Device

If you don’t have a television or computer in front of you, streaming March Madness on your device is simple. All you need to do is download the March Madness Online app for free (Google Play Store | Apple Store). You’ll still need to enter your TV provider username and password for uninterrupted access to all 67 games, and you’ll probably want to log into WiFI because there’s going to be a whole lotta data coming through.

You have two things to look forward to tomorrow: Not only is it the first day of spring (Yay, Boston!), but you’ll also be able to witness a solar eclipse- in certain parts of the world, anyway.

Luckily for you, if you’re not one of the fortunate people who can see it first-hand, we will tell you where to watch it online. But first, a few fun facts:

What is it?

A solar eclipse is a rare event that occurs when the Moon positions itself between the Earth and the Sun.

Astronomers say the eclipse is set to be particularly awesome (my words, not theirs), as the Moon is currently at the point of its elliptical orbit closest to the Earth- a configuration known as the perigee-syzygy. Don’t worry, you don’t need to memorize that. For anyone other than scientists, it’s called the “supermoon.”

Who can see it?

Those in Europe, Northern Africa, and parts of the Middle East will witness a partial solar eclipse. However, for the lucky folks living in the Faroe Islands (off the coast of the U.K.) or Svalbard, Norway, you’ll witness total solar eclipse- the rarest of all solar eclipses that occurs when the moon blocks the entire sun (see first photo).

What time can I see it?

The height of the eclipse will be at 9:30 am GMT in the UK and 10:30 am in Paris and Berlin.

Where can I watch it online?

Fortunately, thanks to the Internet, all other astronomy enthusiasts throughout the globe won’t be left out. The entire event will be broadcast online via Slooh Community Observatory, with the webcast kicking off at 04.30 am ET.

Plus a good night’s sleep is a legit reason for leaving post-performance – we’re both going to need our energy on our next date.

4. “You are so hot!” is the only compliment you’ll ever hear. “A sex-only relationship means I’m not taking the time to get to know you,” one guy says. “So while I think you’re sexy, I likely don’t have much else to tell you—and I’m probably not going to take the time to learn about or remember anything you do that I like outside the bedroom.”

Again, attraction! I wouldn’t hate being told that every damn day, so why would she? What else is there to say anyway? “Oooooh your mind is so beautiful! Your apartment is so clean! I really admire how you have yet to poison me in my sleep!” Treat others the way you want to be treated – did no one ever teach you that?!

5. You’ve seen each other more than once, but never had a real second date. “Dating is for people who are headed somewhere other than the bedroom,” says another. “After the first date, I usually know whether a woman is someone I see that way or only want to have sex with. If it’s the latter, you’ll get a call or text asking to hang out at my place, but I likely won’t take you out again.”

What does “date” even mean these days? We’re satisfied with some day drinking and passing out after eating an entire pizza – does that not count in this situation? Cause that’s how a lot of our second dates go.

As the snow piled higher and higher, It became darker and darker until I was surrounded by an eerie black silence, broken only by the sound of my slow breathing and racing heartbeat. “Okay” I thought to myself; “You’re dead.” I had a shovel and probe in my backpack and I was wearing a transceiver, however, the others were only carrying a shovel and probe. I was convinced that they would not find me in time. Unable to move I focused on slowing my breathing, relaxing and conserving oxygen. I felt bizarrely emotionless and wondered for a moment what death would be like.

Then I remembered that I was reaching upwards with my left arm, ski pole still attached. I tried to wiggle my hand and I felt a ‘pop’ as the top 5cm of the pole broke the surface of the snow. Suddenly emotion flooded through me as I realised that Andrew, Dan and Leonard would be able to locate me under the snow if they saw the tip of the pole. However I still forced myself to remain calm as I sat in wait.
