In celebration of Australia Day, we thought that we’d pay respect to the only people crazy enough to live on an island infested with the world’s most dangerous creatures. And as if it wasn’t enough that Australia is home to the most deadly snakes and spiders, they’re surrounded by an ocean teeming with highly efficient killers.

No wonder Australians are in such great shape–they’re always running from stuff.

Obviously there are some great things about Australia (like studying abroad in Sydney and the sexiest Australian women), but we think that it’s a lot more fun to talk about the stuff that can kill us–as long as we’re at a safe distance.

Here are the 10 scariest and most dangerous creatures you can find in Australia, plus a few honorable mentions.

Ever wanted to experience the joys of sleeping in a cramped car for more than two hours? Look no further, your dreams are about to come true. Phoenix resident Steve Sasman is renting out his $115,000 Tesla Model S on Airbnb for $85-a-night, dubbing it the “world’s first Tesla hotel.” Amenities include full use of Sasman’s bathroom and kitchen, chauffeur service to the airport (if he’s is up for it), and two remote controlled candles to set the mood. Because women love boning in the back of car hotels, especially when there’s fake candles involved.

Visitors can also expect a twin-sized blow-up mattress, an endless supply of A/C and heat, and a prompt 8am wakeup call since dude’s still gotta use the car to get to work in the morning. While the business idea may sound ludicrous when first described, it’s not the worst option in the world for someone on a budget with zero standards. Plus it’ll probably be the only time you sit inside of a Tesla Model S/$115,000 car. Go wild, people.

The storm–dubbed Winter Storm Juno by The Weather Channel–will hit parts of the Midwest with several inches of snow on Sunday night before making its way east and wreaking havoc from Maine to Eastern Pennsylvania.

“This could be the biggest snowstorm in the history of this city,” Mayor Bill de Blasio said at a Sunday press conference. “My message for New Yorkers is prepare for something worse than we have ever seen before.”

Winter Storm Juno Updates:

- More than 28 million people, are under a blizzard warning, and another 12 million people are under a winter storm warning.
– From New York City to Boston, could see up to 20 inches of snow Monday into Tuesday, the weather service predicted.
– The Boston Area and other parts of eastern New England are expected to be hit the hardest.
– A coastal flood warning is in effect for the entire Massachusetts shoreline.
– Airlines have cancelled more than 3,900 flights for Monday and Tuesday
– A travel ban will be implemented on all Connecticut roads and highways at 9 p.m. ET Monday.
– Coastal flooding and power outages are likely.

Seattle Seahawks fan Ashtin Fitzwater made headlines last year once people learned he had painted his entire house and lawn to make it look like he was actually a part of The 12th Man… Even though he lives in Arizona.

Now that the Seahawks are back in the Super Bowl, guess who’s back in the news? Ashtin.

Obviously the Arizona Cardinals are a long way away from reaching the Super Bowl, but that doesn’t change the fact that Ashtin’s residence is offensive looking to everyone. More offensive than that chin strap, even.

If I’m living in Ashtin’s hood, you better believe I’m rooting for the Patriots purely out of spite for this douche. This is the type of guy who would leave CenturyLink field early if they were down 14 points to the Packers in, say, an NFC Championship game.

JJ Watt was, once again, really the only defender worth watching during the 2015 Pro Bowl. His team might not have won, but then again he’s one of the few dudes who thought to pose with all the 2015 Pro Bowl Cheerleaders.

The gorgeous Emma Watson is far from being new to the limelight. Getting her start as the mousey studious witch Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter movie franchise, the brunette Brit quickly blew up and it’s been uphill for her ever since. Emma Watson, best known for her role as Hermoine Granger in the Harry Potter films, has just gotten a new role: Belle in Disney’s live-action musical version of the childhood classic Beauty and the Beast. The 24-year-old actress posted a message on her Facebook earlier today expressing her excitement:

“I’m finally able to tell you … that I will be playing Belle in Disney’s new live-action Beauty and the Beast! It was such a big part of my growing up, it almost feels surreal that I’ll get to dance to ‘Be Our Guest’ and sing ‘Something There’. My six year old self is on the ceiling — heart bursting. Time to start some singing lessons. I can’t wait for you to see it. Emma xx.”

The movie is set to begin filming later this year. Frankly, we can’t wait – we’ve been fantasizing about Belle since all we knew how to do was sit, stare, and drool. Congrats Emma; we’ll be waiting (in the least creepy way possible).

Winter Storm Juno hit the East Coast overnight, and it was kind of Snowmageddon from the CNN network’s favorite snowicane. But how did the COED offices survive? Well, you can get a pretty good idea from this live camera that NBC has set up from Times Square. It’s not too bad here, and we got through Times Square this morning without falling down any more times than we usually do going home.

You’ll probably have to press play to get the live cam going, and endure some kind of plug for NBC, but then you can check out how the citizens of New York City managed to get through Juno without resorting to cannibalism after all the artisan restaurants shut down in the East Village. It’s an inspiring sight….

Daisy Lowe was born unto this world on January 27, 1989–and that would become a big day for big fans of big glamour models. The London gal has been a big deal as both a sexy pin-up and a serious fashion model. She’s also kind of a rock ‘n roll scion, since she’s the daughter of Gavin Rossdale from Bush. Just when you thought that Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch was completely done talking to the media, in blows this fantastic Skittles “interview” like Beast Mode on a 4th and 1.

Watch as he answers ridiculous questions like what’s his favorite planet and whether he preferred to watch dog or cat videos online. Here is the full interview.

“I wouldn’t want to hang out with anybody who talks… At all.” That might be the most sincere quote we’ll hear all season.

It is one of the oddest things to listen to and watch. Lynch’s habit of not talking to the media has got on a lot of people’s nerves and it would be an educated guess that Skittles is paying him enough in this “interview” to cover whatever fines he gets from not speaking to anybody else.

It is Super Bowl Media Day on Tuesday in Arizona, and anyone’s guess whether or not Lynch actually talks to the media during that session or continues giving short, indirect answers. The Seahawks have always Lynch to do his talking on the field and will try to win their second straight Super Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 1 when they face the New England Patriots.

The Fantastic Four reboot movie trailer launched today, and it looks great. While I never really saw the need to remake a superhero film that came out less than 15 years ago, I can now admit that I was wrong. Good thing I wasn’t the only one in charge of our “30 Most Anticipated Movies of 2015.”

This version looks much darker and, frankly, better.

Human Torch, The Thing, Mister Fantastic, and the Invisible Woman were all in much need of a face lift. Of course, if they could find a way to fit Jessica Alba back in that’d be ideal.

The NBA would love to see their game expand more in other countries. The Golden State Warriors are going to help with that cause as the team will wear special Chinese New Year uniforms on Feb. 20 in a game that will be broadcast on closed-circuit television in China. Here is a look at the jerseys via the Warriors’ Twitter feed.

The team will wear the jerseys for that game and for three additional games. It had been previously announced that the Houston Rockets would wear a Chinese New Year jersey on Feb. 21. It is definitely a way to grow the game in China. The game there is soaring in popularity and was helped by the career of Yao Ming many years ago.

There will be a point in time where more teams decide to honor the cultures of other countries with their uniforms. The Warriors and Rockets are at the forefront of that trend. The fans in the United States may have some issues figuring out what is on the front of the Warriors’ uniforms but if it brings in more money around the world, the team isn’t going to have any problem with it.

Late last week McDonald’s released a video describing how they made their fries, in hopes of trying to satisfy skeptic customers and put an end to their questionable reputation. As expected, potatoes are not the only ingredient.

However, this is far from the most disturbing news McDonald’s has to offer. According to Icelandic newspaper Morgunbladid, a six-year-old Happy Meal is still perfectly intact. Gross.

After closing it’s doors in 2009, the famed franchise reportedly sold it’s last burger and fries in the country to a man named Hjör­tur Smára­son. Somehow the dude was able to resist devouring the meal upon receiving it, and saved it in a plastic bag for the next three years, eager to see if the rumors about McDonald’s food not perishing were true. Sadly, his findings were not the least bit surprising.

In 2012 Smára­son donated the Happy Meal to the National Museum of Icelannd, where museum goers apparently went as far as sampling some of the fries. Recently curators returned the donation, claiming that they “couldn’t preserve it any longer.” We’re assuming that’s code for “those shiesty visitors couldn’t keep their hands to themselves.” In turn, Smára­son donated the meal to the Reyk­javík Bus Hostel, where it continues to show no sign of change.

On the bright side, we know the first place we’ll be hitting up during an atomic attack.

Kim Kardashian stopped by Conan last night to debut her new Super Bowl 2015 commercial for T Mobile. She brought her booty along, too.

I know that there are a good amount of people who loathe the selfie queen, but the fact of the matter is that I think this is really well done. If you’re a self-aware she-devil, are you really a she-devil at all? Don’t answer that question.

I don’t want to live in a world where I can’t see Kim’s backhand.

College hockey isn’t something that we normally cover, but dongs? Dongs are our bread and butter. So when we learned that UMaine fans brought a big sign of a UNH Wildcat with an insertable/removable caucasian colored dong, well we had to get it up on the site.

Unfortunately, school officials don’t share our love of phallic symbols so they confiscated this sign before the puck dropped on Friday night. Not that it mattered, because UMaine won the game anway.

What a disappointment.

Six Greek organizations at the University of Michigan have been suspended in the wake of the destruction at two separate Michigan ski resorts.

The fraternities (Sigma Alpha Mu, Pi Kappa Alpha and Chi Psi) and sororities (Sigma Delta Tau, Delta Gamma and Alpha Phi) were suspended from their national organizations.

Most, if not many of you who were involved in Greek Life no doubt know the kind of mentality that can kick in once a bunch of bros start getting drunk and breaking stuff. That being said, this isn’t just a chair or a broken VCR. From the photos we’ve seen, Treetops Resort (which got the worst of the destruction) was absolutely trashed. Their managed has estimated $80K-$100K worth of damage was done.

“Couches torn in half, entire sections of drywall removed and scattered throughout the place” is how one U of M student described the damage on Reddit.

Of course, there are numerous ways that Michigan can punish the fraternities beyond being suspended by nationals. Our bet is that the hammer is going to come down on certain fraternities more than others, but we’ll have to wait and see. Punishment for punishment’s sake isn’t really all the effective.

GoDaddy traded in Bar Refaeli and Danica Patrick this year for a sad, adorable little dog named Buddy who gets separated from his owners. Luckily – or, by the end of it, not so much so – Buddy goes on a quest to find his way home. Unexpectedly, the end is slightly traumatizing and pretty damn depressing. Maybe they should’ve stuck with the whole “hot woman” thing.
