The Oregon Ducks are toning their uniforms down for the College Football Playoffs National Championship.  Instead of the extremely loud lime green combination they wore for the Florida State Rose Bowl thrashing, the Ducks are going the complete opposite direction wearing Nike’s Mach Speed white away jerseys with tonal grey and silver accents.  The OSU Buckeyes don new scarlet home jerseys with white and grey accents.  Check out Nike.com form more details.

According to Nike’s Facebook, the O on the front of the Oregon jerseys is tilted slightly at 27 degrees to denote the 27 bowl game appearances Oregon’s made.

Sahara Ray is a smoking hot California model who’s been one of our favorite women to follow on Instagram for some time now. And if that’s not enough to catch your interest, perhaps you’d like to know that she recently shot with famed photographer Terry Richardson–although she’s been photographed by plenty other well-known cameramen.

Additionally, Sahara seems to be good friends with Bryana Holly and has her own swimwear company called Sahara Swim. Not a bad idea considering how often we catch her wearing a bathing suit.

A fireworks factory outside of Bogota, Colombia exploded Monday morning and as you would expect, IT WAS AWESOME!  The explosion knocked the camera man on his ass and caused a huge traffic jam for New Years’ vacationers returning home to the capital city. Remarkably there was only one minor injury. Did we mention it was AWESOME?

The Consumer Electronics Shows 2015 (CES) is a great place to learn about the best upcoming 4k televisions and concepts being released in the future.

Brands like Samsung, LG, Panasonic, Haier, and even Roku have brought their newest toys to Las Vegas this week to show the world and we’ve picked out the five best televisions from CES to show you.

Remember: some of what you see will actually be in stores sometime in 2015, some of it won’t–and the stuff that is may be out of your price range. But it’s always nice to look.

SUHD Television – Samsung

Release Date: Unknown | Pricing: Unknown

Samsung will be revealing their newest feat in televisions, the SUHD TV. We don’t want to pretend like we know what the “S” stands for, but it’s hoping it’s something like “Super,” and not “Samsung.” But names don’t really matter when the product you’re showing off can display one billion colors, 64 times more than existing models of televisions.

The big reason the SUHD will be able to pull this feat off is because of the “quantum dot” technology Samsung patented last year. Here’s what that really means:

“Quantum dot refers to semiconductor nanocrystals whose dimensions are smaller than 10 nanometers. (A nanometer is equal to one billionth of a meter.) Using this display material, a TV can reproduce more accurate colors and, unlike light-emitting diodes (LED), lasts longer as it doesn’t degrade from humidity and oxidation.” [source]

The television is reportedly being shown in 65, 78 and 88-inch models.

We’re guessing that it will be powered by Samsung’s newest operating system, Tizen.

Curving Ultra HD OLED TVs – LG

Release Date: 2015 | Pricing: Unknown

LG has debuted a host of amazing HD OLED TVs at CES 2015, but the one that’s really caught our attention is the 77-inch model: the 77EG9900.

That is the OLED television LG claims will be able to curve or go flat at the touch of a button. It features 4K technology, as well as passive 3D offering what C-NET has called “best 3D experience yet.” We’re just excited to see the thing in action.

Roku 4K TV – TCL, Haier, Insignia

Release Date: Spring 2015 | Pricing: Unknown

We’ve learned that Roku–the world’s best set top streaming device*–will be getting into the television game big time in 2015. In addition to making new models with TCL (a current partner), they’ll be partnering up with hardware manufacturers Haier and Insignia to come out with some amazing new products this spring.

Pricing and sizes are unknown at this time, although we can report that the Insignia televisions have been described as inexpensive.

It seems like the future of Smart TVs are fast approaching.

Panasonic UHD Televisions

Release Date: Unknown | Pricing: Unknown

Panasonic will be releasing a line of nine UHD televisions they claim are “the most accurate consumer televisions in the world.” Everyone’s a little upset that they killed their line of plasma televisions, but we can all breathe a sigh of relief knowing that Panasonic is still in the game.

Pricing and sizing information is still not available yet. It will feature Panasonic’s Life+Screen smart TV platform.

Modular Television – Haier

Release Date: Unknown | Pricing: Unknown

We saved arguably the most interesting developments to come out of CES television news for last. Haier has announced that they’ll be showing off a modular television–able to be modified and improved as time goes on–concept at CES 2015. The idea is that the television can be upgraded from full HD to 4K, just by replacing a component in the back.

According to OnlineAthens, Georgia Tech student Ryan Gregory Pickren is in hot water after being charged with felony computer trespassing. Did he steal money or change his grades? Nope. He simply hacked the University of Georgia’s network during Hate Week–the week before UGA and GT play each other in football–to post a message on everyone’s calendar that would read “Sat., November 29, 2014/ 12:00 pm/ Get Ass Kicked by GT.”

Now he’s facing up to 15 years and a $50,000 fine for a hilarious prank that was removed within the hour.

Thankfully, someone’s set up a GoFundMe page to pay his legal fees, something that I’m sure Georgia Tech alumni will have no problem helping out with.

Seriously Georgia, you’re bigger than this. Drop the charges and get back to doing what you do best–actually kicking Georgia Tech ass. We’re also hoping that a GT alumni would have no problem hiring this guy despite his prior “record.”

There has been talk for many months now about the idea of the NFL having a team in Los Angeles again sooner than later. It appears that the time for that is about to happen. The Los Angeles Times reported on Monday that St. Louis Rams owner Stan Kroenke has teamed up with the owners of the Hollywood Park site he bought last year to build an NFL stadium on the site.

The racetrack closed last year and Kroenke is planning to build an 80,000-seat stadium and 6,000-seat performance venue according to the newspaper. This is very big news on two fronts. First off, it would bring the NFL back to Los Angeles for the first time since the Rams moved to St. Louis in 1994. It would also leave St. Louis without a football team yet again after the Cardinals have left in the late 1980s.

The next question is whether or not the Rams will be the only team using this stadium. Would the Oakland Raiders come back south and see if they can share the new building with the Rams? That is always very possible. Southern California and the Los Angeles/Inglewood area appear set on getting professional football back in their backyard.

Valerie Van Der Graaf has taken over for Bar Refaeli as the newest face of Passionata Lingerie.

The Dutch model made the announcement today on her Instagram account, and while we’re relatively surprised (Bar has been repping Passionata for a long time) we’re happy to see Valerie in more places. We named her as a model to put on your radar TWO years ago.

Gotham

Fox’s popular pre-Batman run-up Gotham returns for the second half of its successful first season. The last episode saw reptilian assassin Copperhead infiltrating stately Wayne Manor and mobster Carmine Falcone getting very cozy with Oswald “Penguin” Cobblepot. The return installment is titled “Rogue’s Gallery.” You know the bat-time and the bat-channel, so do tune in.

Rae Sremmurd – SremmLife

Tupelo hip-hop twosome Swae Lee and Slim Jimmy release their second album as Rae Sremmurd (“Drummers Ear” spelled backward), SremmLife. The LP drops after three successful single releases, “No Flex Zone,” “No Type,” and a hit collaboration with Nicki Minaj and Young Thug, “Throw Sum Mo.” Still want “sum mo”? Pick up the disc on Tuesday.

Marvel’s Agent Carter

Hayley Atwell returns in the series premiere on ABC as Peggy Carter, the WWII-era undercover office worker Peggy Carter she also plays in the big-screen Captain America movies. Working for the Strategic Scientific Reserve and arms dealer Howard Stark (Iron Man’s dad), Agent Carter is sort of like Joan from Mad Men, only it’s the ’40s and superhero stuff happens.

Boyhood on Blu-ray

Writer-director Richard Linklatter (Dazed and Confused) labored for a dozen years on his coming-of-age epic Boyhood—and he filmed it all. Specifically, Linklatter shot the film over twelve years, chronicling the real-time life arc of characters Mason and Samantha as the actors who play them, Ellar Coltrane and Lorelei Linklatter respectively, literally grew into the roles. It’s a one-of-a-kind cinematic experiment and well worth checking out for the results.

Get On Up on Blu-ray

Chadwick Boseman stars as James Brown in a biopic about the Godfather of Soul that seemed to come-and-go too quickly last summer. Now on video, we can delve into the details and see how the movie properly honors the Hardest Working Man in Show Business. Fall to your knees, get a Famous Flame to wrap a cape around your shoulders, and press play.

Sabres at Devils

The 14-22 Sabres skate into New Jersey to take on the 13-20 Devils. While it’s been a lackluster season so far for both squads, a palpable tension exists within them that just may spill onto the ice. Empire premieres on Fox with Terence Howard as Lucious, a hip-hop mogul in secret decline at the heart of this Shakespearean music-biz series from moviemaker Lee Daniels (The Butler). Taraji P. Henson immediately stands out as Cookie Lyon the ex-Mrs. Lucious and reigning queen over all she surveys. Empire looks to be a fun, fiery soap opera that safe for dudes.

People’s Choice Awards

CBS airs the 41st annual People’s Choice Awards from L.A., a three-hour extravaganza honoring movies, music, and TV as selected by the voting public. Shailene Woodley leads the nominations with four, and scheduled performers include Iggy Azalea, Fall Out Boy, Lady Antebellum, and, because it’s a TV special and it’s on right now, Taylor Swift.

Celtics at Nets

(Jan 7)

The day after Christmas, Brooklyn beat Boston in a 109-107 squeaker. Beantown passions will be running high, then, as the Celtics try to even the score Wednesday night at the Barclay’s Center. No matter who wins, brace your ears for creatively foul diatribes spewed by hoops fans with severe East Coast accents.

Archer

FX premieres season 6 of everyone’s favorite animated spy/drug dealer/spy again adventure. The Archer Vice premise has been dropped, but our hero will not return to the ISIS organization due to all the non-cartoon nastiness now associated with that name. Archer’s baby daughter Abbiejean will be back, though, thereby prompting all kinds of mishaps and mayhem in fatherhood.

Capitals at Flyers

(Jan 8)

The 19-11 Capitals are favored to beat the 14-17 Flyers, but anything can happen at the Wells Fargo Center in Philly, particularly when the guest team hails from a nearby city. Come the drop of a puck, the surrounding environs can quick-change from the City of Brotherly Love to the Asylum of Blood Lust. That’s always fun.

Portlandia

Fred Armisen and Carrie Bronstein sock it to hipsters anew in season 5 of Portlandia. In addition to top-notch satire, the show’s tradition of off-the-wall guest stars continues, with this year welcoming Steve Buscemi, Vanessa Bayer, Seth Meyers, Olivia Wilde, Greta Gerwig, Justin Long, Jane Lynch, Natasha Lyonne, Brigitte Nielsen, Parker Posey, Paul Reubens, Paul Simon, Shepard Fairey, Simpsons creator Matt Groening, and Oscar the Grouch.

I’m hoping that most of you reading this have done a polar bear plunge at least once. Sure, no one actually enjoys the whole freezing-to-death experience but what about the pregame you start at 9:00 AM? Or the whiskey waiting for you back at the beach?

These are the reasons people do the polar bear plunge–not the feeling they get when their muscles immediately cramp up. Look at these people’s faces and tell me that this is a pleasurable experience. A polar bear plunge is nothing like the Ohio State Mirror Lake Jump. A polar bear plunge is awful… And something you’ll probably sign up to do again next year.

Bradley Cooper celebrates his 40th birthday yesterday, and he proved that he’s still got that young party spirit by playing air guitar on The Tonight Show. Excessively. It was some quality air guitar, too. We guess that Actor’s Studio training really pays off.

You have to give Cooper some credit for not just phoning in his rendition of Neil Young’s solo from “Down By the River,” too. First of all, that’s a smart choice. Not too obscure, but not too tired, either. It also allows Cooper to show off just how intricate he can get with his air guitar. The guy isn’t joking about having serious air guitar talents.

Also, he thrusts his crotch into the faces of two girls in the Tonight Show audience. Bradley Cooper can get away with that even when he’s 40 years old and wearing that wig…

And if you’re wondering what the deal is with those wigs–well, that’s from Bradley Cooper’s appearance on the Tonight Show late last year, when he was starting to promote his Broadway work in “The Elephant Man.” We think that’s still running, but no air guitar is involved…

Hayley Atwell hits our living room as pioneering S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Peggy Carter in tonight’s premiere of Marvel’s Agent Carter, and we didn’t think we’d ever get this excited over a lady wearing WWII vintage clothing. Actually, we didn’t think that we’d get excited over Hayley Atwell on the small screen. She seemed set for big screen stardom when the British babe won over Americans with her first turn in Captain America: The First Avenger. [photo via…]

That was way back in 2011. Since then, Hayley’s stayed busy with the Marvel empire, despite playing a woman from the 1940s. She made it into the modern-day setting of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and an episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and even seems set to be in Avengers: Age of Ultron with Scarlett Johansson and Elizabeth Olsen. Hayley also made it into the Jimi Hendrix biopic All Is By My Side, although that didn’t get as much attention as your typical Marvel production.

Agent Carter will be getting plenty of attention. That’s partly because WWII vintage clothing isn’t so bad, after all. The wardrobe still gives us scenes like this…

And don’t forget that you get that debut trailer for Ant-Man on Agent Carter tonight. Hayley plays Peggy Carter in that movie, too. Maybe she’ll be in the Ant-Man trailer. We know that she didn’t make the teaser trailer for the trailer, but the actual Ant-Man trailer will be much bigger. So that’s a third reason to tune in tonight–after the show’s quality script and the sharp acting skills of the Agent Carter cast. Also, Hayley Atwell has large breasts…

There were plenty of people watching Sunday’s NFC Wild Card Game between the Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys throughout the sports world. One of those people was golfer Jason Dufner. Dufner sent out a series of tweets about the now-famous penalty flag being picked up late in the game. The most interesting tweet however came when Dufner called out Cowboys coach Jason Garrett for a postgame comment. [lead image via Getty Sports / Andrew Redington]

That is clearly a smackdown to say the least with Dufner telling Garrett to stick to his own sport. In the world of social media however, everything has an opinion on every other sport even if they aren’t playing it. Dufner clearly wanted to tell Garrett however even as a joke that he should stick to his own sport and coaching that.

Dufner later on in another tweet said that he is a Patriots fan and didn’t really care about the flag being picked up on a call that the NFL admitted was blown. It is wild however that Dufner decided he had to come out and call out Garrett for his “if you get a chance to go play at the Masters, you don’t lay up. You go after it.” Hopefully the two can get together when the PGA visits the Dallas area this spring.

Everyone who every enjoyed sports is missing Stuart Scott, that’s the only way to put it. But UNC fans especially are feeling the loss after their beloved alum Stuart died of cancer this weekend.

That’s why UNC men’s team took the time and effort to pay tribute to Stu during their game against Notre Dame airing on… ESPN.

The stadium also handed out signs that read “STU” for fans to hold up during the moment of silence. Notre Dame ended up winning the game 71-70.

The live-action Assassin’s Creed movie starring Michael Fassbender finally has a release date, December 21st, 2016. Of course, there’s no word yet on whether it’ll be good or not but we’d bet a Piece of Eden that it’s won’t be–even with Mr. Fassbender.

Along with Assassin’s Creed, game developer Ubisoft has a total of six movies in production.

Assassin’s Creed is directed by Justin Kurzel, written by Bill Collage and Adam Cooper, and stars Michael Fassbender.

I’m not up on my Jenga moves, but this maneuver deserves to be in the Jenga Hall of Fame.  Using only a knife (and some Coors light for lubrication), this kid pulls off one of the most impressive Jenga / drinking game moves ever.  Mind blown.

In addition to being one of our nation’s top female rockclimbers, Arizona State University‘s own Sierra Blair-Coyle might be the hottest climber in the sport today. “Chalk” up another win for the ASU Sun Devils.

The 20-year old has an impressive trophy case–already owning two National Championships in junior comp and a spot on the US National team roster. She also gets a full-ride to ASU because of her incredible ability to climb. Not only does Sierra make an incredibly difficult sport look easy, she makes it look good.

I wasn’t a fraternity brother who advocated bringing in pledges because they were particularly good at one thing, but this robot who can shoot beer pong might get a pass. The thing shoots 80%.

Of course, you’d have to team the robot up with a human tank who can drink enough for two (this robot’s name isn’t Bender), but that shouldn’t matter. You’d have the best beer pong team on campus.

And now for a few words on the actual robot itself. The robot is designed and manufactured by Empire Robotics and, like we said earlier, shoots an average of 80%.

Season 6 of Archer airs this Thursday, January 8th, 2015 on FX at 10 PM EST until 10:30 PM EST. The first episode is titled “The Holdout” and will see the group no-longer called ISIS return to spying.

They’re holding it down for Greek Life at one of the wildest colleges in the nation, something that we can really appreciate. We’ve even heard they’re the reason Urban Meyer became a Buckeye in the first place.
