Lara Bucy, a family and consumer sciences teacher at Twinsburg High School in Ohio, has been accused of two counts of sexual battery. Bucy is wanted for sexual battery and disseminating matter harmful to juveniles, according to a report from FOX Cleveland.

The teacher, who describes her job as “hanging out in a room all day with hormonal teenagers who are learning to control every impulse they have while I attempt to teach them life skills” in her Twitter bio, allegedly had “sexual conduct with the victim” and sent “obscene material to a juvenile, obscene images, over social media.”

Bucy, who is 32 and married with three children, has been placed on administrative leave.

From The Canton Repository:

Laura Bucy, 32, of Akron, is accused of sexual battery and disseminating matter harmful to juveniles, according to Stow Municipal Court records. The crimes allegedly took place between Sept. 22, 2017, and Oct. 27, 2017, according to a court record.

A letter from Twinsburg Superintendent Kathryn Powers was sent out to parents saying that police informed her of an investigation that involves “allegations of a serious nature related to misconduct that allegedly took place on school property.”

Pike is just the latest teacher to be charged for an alleged relationship with a teenager student.  Over the course of just a few months, educators across the country were arrested for entering into an inappropriate relationship with their students, Tennessee teacher Janet Smothers, LaToya Parker, Florida teacher Caroline Lawson, 26-year-old Allyson Moran and Katherine Ross Ridenhour were all arrested on similar charges.

The list goes on to include 22-year-old Oklahoma science teacher Hunter Day, 28-year-old teacher Megan Kotarski, 23-year-old history teacher Michelle Schiffer, 29-year-old Alyssia Marie Reddy, special education teacher Jordan Ondish and 28-year-old Samantha Fitzpatrick have all been allegedly carrying on inappropriate relationships with their students.

Police

Tanaya Lewis has been identified as the 17-year-old Fitzgerald High School student who stabbed and killed 16-year-old Danyna Gibson. According to reports, Lewis and Gibson were friends who were in an argument as they were dating the same boy.

What Happened?

Lewis stabbed Gibson in the chest with a kitchen steak around 8:30 a.m. at Fitzgerald High School in Warren, Michigan, on Wednesday, September 12.

Prosecutors say she smiled and said “I’m going to kill you” as she chased Gibson around the classroom in front of approximately two dozen students.

According to Warren Police Commissioner William Dwyer, while a school resource officer immediately began life-saving procedures, Gibson was pronounced dead at a hospital about an hour later.

During a press conference, Macomb County Prosecutor Eric Smith said that the stabbing was a “complete surprise” to the victim. He also confirmed that Gibson had 4 stab wounds.

Police say the 17-year-old had been friends with SD, but heard Danyna told her boyfriend she had cheated on him. The teen brought the knife that morning, stabbing her twice in the chest. The teen was restrained in another room as the teacher got ahold of the weapon.

Lewis has been charged with pre-mediated murder. She was arraigned at the 37th District Court in Michigan by Judge Suzanne Faunce.

Lewis is currently being held without bond and will be charged as an adult.

Superintendent Laurie Fournier released the following statement regarding the incident:

“At approximately 8:30 a.m. this morning, we received a report that a Fitzgerald High School student had stabbed another high school student resulting in injuries. The alleged attacker has been arrested and is in custody. The injured student has been transported to the hospital. The high school is on lock down until further notice. We will share updates when they are available. Please note the safety of our students and staff is our number one priority.”

A vigil was held for Gibson at the school’s football field on Thursday, September 13.

A post shared by Marshall Mathers (@eminem) on

Eminem has finally responded to Machine Gun Kelly with the diss track “Killshot.” After teasing a diss track directed at MGK on Tuesday, Sept. 11, fans were going crazy as they anxiously awaited a response from Eminem to the Cleveland-based rapper during an exclusive Kamikaze interview with Sway. In the teaser, Eminem could be heard saying, “Now, you’re the f*cking enemy” in an intense voice.

Slim Shady initially fired a shot at Machine Gun Kelly during a track on his surprise album Kamikaze on Friday, Sept. 8.

Eminem rapped:

“But next time you don’t gotta use Tech N9ne if you wanna come at me with a sub-machine gun / And I’m talking to you but you already know who the f*ck you are, Kelly / I don’t use sublims and sure as f*ck don’t sneak-diss / But keep commenting on my daughter Hailie.”

That led to Machine Gun Kelly firing with his own diss track titled “Rap Devil” where he takes shots at Eminem’s relationships throughout his career, makes multiple references to 8 Mile, and continues talking about Eminem’s daughter Hailie. And finally, the long-awaited Eminem response has come.

All of the information you need to listen to the diss track can be seen below.

Realized I forgot to call you back
Here’s that autograph for your daughter, I wrote it on a Starter cap
Stan, Stan, son, listen, man, dad isn’t mad
But how you gonna name yourself after a damn gun and have a man bun?

Ow, Kelly, ooh, but I’m 45 and I’m still outselling you
By 29 I had three albums that had blew
Now let’s talk about somethin’ I don’t really do
Go in someone’s daughter’s mouth stealin’ food

Shootin’ a video just to fuckin’ dig your own grave
Got you at your own wake, I’m the billy goat

Weatherman Reporting On Hurricane Florence Forced To Evacuate Mid-Broadcast

North Carolina weatherman Donnie Cox showed his WCTI-TV viewers just how dedicated of a meteorologist he is this week as he remained on-air as the station’s studio was being flooded.

While giving the latest weather report on Thursday, September 13, Cox calmly explained that the water levels inside the WCTI-TV building continued to rise before walking off set as he threw the coverage to their sister station in Myrtle Beach.

“We have the situation here that has developed at the station, and that is of the water getting [so] close to the building that the building has been evacuated,” Cox said.

— Brian L Kahn (@blkahn) September 14, 2018

Thankfully, no one from the news station was injured.

WCTI general manager Matt Bowman explained the decision in a statement:

“Our first priority is always the safety and well-being of our staff and we are happy to report that all employees from the WCTI station are safe following a sudden evacuation. Our commitment to delivering critical information to our viewers can, at times, put us in harm’s way, particularly with major weather-related events. As such, we were continuously in contact with our WCTI team throughout the week as we monitored the situation and planned for contingencies. When the conditions in the area intensified suddenly, we made the call to have our news staff evacuate the area and team up with our sister station WPDE in Myrtle Beach to continue covering the storm and providing our viewers with vital, potentially life-saving, information.”

Even though Florence has been downgraded to a Category 1 storm, news stations both north and south of the border are clearly pulling out all the stops:

LOOK: An Old Machine Gun Kelly Tweet Predicted Eminem Would Destroy Him

Machine Gun Kelly may want to consider walking away from rap, because there is no chance that him and Eminem are going to sort out their new beef in a way where they can just talk about it, talk about it, talk about it.

Following the release of Eminem’s scathing MGK diss “Killshot,” an old tweet from the Cleveland rapper surfaced that foreshadowed the entire thing.

Eminem released a diss track directed at Machine Gun Kelly on Friday, Sept. 14, after Kelly dropped the track “Rap Devil” which took aim at Eminem. Well, it was an ill-advised move, because Slim Shady came back with the ether.

Not only that, Eminem stans unearthed an old tweet from Gunner that shows what may be the next best move for his career.

“Eminem makes me want to quit rapping…f*ck, he’s good lol,” MGK wrote.

Here is the link for the what is sure to be soon-deleted tweet.

Ouch.

It’s time to walk away now, Kelly. It was nice to know you, but now is the perfect time to call it quits.

Among some of the best lyrics were:

Gennady Golovkin and Canelo Alvarez are finally set to enter the ring at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas for their highly-anticipated rematch on Saturday, Sept. 15. The bout will be for the WBA (Super), WBC, and IBO & vacant The Ring Magazine Middleweight Titles. In their first meeting in September 2017, the two men fought to a controversial split draw. Judge Adalaide Byrd scored the bout 118-110 in favor of Canelo, while Dave Moretti favored Golovkin 115-113 and Don Trella scored the bout even at 114-114.

Almost immediately following the first bout, negotiations began for the rematch.

The rematch was initially set to take place on March 5, 2018, but Canelo failed two random drug tests in February. Canelo had tested positive for the banned substance clenbuterol which led to the fight being postponed. The Nevada Athletic Commission handed Canelo a six-month suspension before ultimately rescheduling the fight for Sept. 15.

In the co-main event of the pay-per-view card is a WBO junior middleweight championship bout between Jaime Munguia and Brandon Cook, while David Lemieux, Gary O’Sullivan, Román “Chocolatito” González, and Moises Fuentes are also set to compete.

Christine Blasey Ford Photos: Full Story of Brett Kavanaugh Accuser

Palo Alto University

Christina Blasey Ford has been identified as the anonymous person who sent a letter to Sen. Dianne Feinstein alleging that Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her when they were in high school.

Following the allegations, Kavanaugh immediately released a statement denying any guilt, saying: “I categorically and unequivocally deny this allegation. I did not do this back in high school or at any time.”

Ford graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before earning a Master’s Degree in psychology at Pepperdine University. After Pepperdine, Ford obtained a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology at the University of Southern California and a Master’s in Education from Stanford University.

Ford’s lawyer, Debra Katz, told The Today Show that Ford is “willing to do whatever it takes to get her story forth”, including testifying before the Senate Judiciary Committee.

She is currently a clinical psychology professor at Palo Alto University in California. She is married to Russell Ford, a senior director at Zosano Pharma.

2. Ford has offered a detailed account of sexual assault by Kavanaugh

3. Ford's account corroborated by therapists notes from 2012

4. Ford passed a polygraph test by former FBI agent

— Judd Legum (@JuddLegum) September 16, 2018

You can read Ford’s full letter below, which was sent to Senator Dianne Feinstein, via CNN:

Dear Senator Feinstein;

I am writing with information relevant in evaluating the current nominee to the Supreme Court.

As a constituent, I expect that you will maintain this as confidential until we have further opportunity to speak.
Brett Kavanaugh physically and sexually assaulted me during high school in the early 1980’s. He conducted these acts with the assistance of REDACTED.

Both were one to two years older than me and students at a local private school.

The assault occurred in a suburban Maryland area home at a gathering that included me and four others.

Kavanaugh physically pushed me into a bedroom as I was headed for a bathroom up a short stair well from the living room. They locked the door and played loud music precluding any successful attempt to yell for help.

Kavanaugh was on top of me while laughing with REDACTED, who periodically jumped onto Kavanaugh. They both laughed as Kavanaugh tried to disrobe me in their highly inebriated state. With Kavanaugh’s hand over my mouth I feared he may inadvertently kill me.

From across the room a very drunken REDACTED said mixed words to Kavanaugh ranging from “go for it” to “stop.”

At one point when REDACTED jumped onto the bed the weight on me was substantial. The pile toppled, and the two scrapped with each other. After a few attempts to get away, I was able to take this opportune moment to get up and run across to a hallway bathroom. I locked the bathroom door behind me. Both loudly stumbled down the stair well at which point other persons at the house were talking with them. I exited the bathroom, ran outside of the house and went home.

I have not knowingly seen Kavanaugh since the assault. I did see REDACTED once at the REDACTED where he was extremely uncomfortable seeing me.

I have received medical treatment regarding the assault. On July 6 I notified my local government representative to ask them how to proceed with sharing this information . It is upsetting to discuss sexual assault and its repercussions, yet I felt guilty and compelled as a citizen about the idea of not saying anything.

I am available to speak further should you wish to discuss. I am currently REDACTED and will be in REDACTED.

In confidence, REDACTED.

University officials are investigating a fire that destroyed the wooden deck of the Theta Chi fraternity house at Washington State University.

The fire, which happened late on Sunday, September 16, appears to be linked to several fires that happened outside of the fraternity house.

According to police, investigators found five separate ignition points near the Chi fraternity house, including in the patio area and front of the house.

Theta Chi was not damaged and no one was hurt in the fire

via The Lewiston Tribune:

Firefighters arrived on the scene and extinguished the fire but the wooden deck was destroyed. Firefighters also found a fire at the front of the house that students had doused with a garden hose and an attempted fire in the patio area. Fire investigator Tony Nuttman said firefighters found five different ignition points around the house.

There was also some heat damage to a Honda car and a dumpster that were located near the wooden deck. One window in the back of the fraternity house was broken from the heat, the news release said.

There were no injuries and the Theta Chi house was not damaged. Police officers said the fraternity members cooperated with officials and investigators gathered evidence from the scene.

At this time, there are no suspects or motives. Police say investigators are still gathering evidence at this time.

The lockdown at Norco High School in California is just the latest in a string of lockdowns, bomb threats, and shootings that have plagued the United States. Over the course of the past few years, shootings and lockdowns such as these have been a scourge upon the country and people have struggled with coming up with a solution. Lockdowns have become all too common as a means of protection when students and faculty are in danger and today is no different.

This incident follows similar incidents at Dodd Middle School in Connecticut, Windham Public Schools also in Connecticut, Pacoima Middle School in Los Angeles, Millennium Middle School in Florida, and US Grant High School in Oklahoma, which are just some of the places where events such as this have occurred.

Metro Nashville Police Department

Michael Goff III has been accused of killing his father. According to reports, Goff was arrested by Metro Nashville Police and charged with criminal homicide after his father’s bones were found stuffed in a duffle bag earlier this month.

Goff III is just 15 years old.

The investigation first began in May after Goff’s father, 57-year-old Michael Goff Jr., was reported missing. Goff III had said that he was driving with his father when his father stopped the car, gave him his watch, said “I love you,” and then walked off into the woods.

From the Tennessean:

However, an investigation by the Homicide-Cold Case Unit revealed witnesses who reported a different story.

According to the investigation, the witnesses say Michael Goff III showed them cuts and scratches on his hands and allegedly told them he had killed someone a few days earlier with razor wire.

NEW DETAILS: Teen accused of killing his own father with a razor wire, hiding his bones near Percy Priest Lake, then taking money from the body.

Another teen alleged that he helped Goff dispose of his father’s body. WKRN states:

According to a release, detectives also got a tip that another 15-year-old likely had information on the murder. Police said the teen returned from out of state this week and reported that Goff III came to his home on May 26 and said that he had just killed his father.

The teen told police he went with Goff III to dispose of Goff Jr’s body and witnessed Goff III take money and other items from the body.

Goff was first reported missing in late May. Goff III, meanwhile, has reportedly not been cooperating with investigators and refused to answer their questions following his arrest.

Kamaree Jevon Lyons has been identified as the 17-year-old Sebastian River High School student who died after a pick-up basketball game on Saturday, September 15.

According to reports, Lyons was playing a game of pickup basketball in the Sebastian River High School gym school’s gym on the night of Saturday, September 15, when he collapsed on the court. Following his collapse, Lyons was taken to the Sebastian River Medical Center by ambulance, where he was later pronounced dead.

Cristen Maddux, a spokesperson for the Indian River County School District, said in a statement: “He [Lyons] walked off the court and collapsed. An ambulance transported him to Sebastian River Medical Center and, unfortunately, he passed away.”

The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating Lyons’ tragic death.

via Treasure Coast Newspapers:

Former Sebastian River High football coach Chuck Kenyon had Kamaree in weightlifting class last school year and called him a “good all-around kid.”

“He was always respectful,” said Kenyon, who is now an assistant football coach at Veterans High School in Kathleen, Georgia. “I never had a teacher email me and say that he was being a problem.”

Sebastian River High football coach Tyrone Perry said the team will not be practicing Monday and that about 40 players met Sunday at Woody’s.

“We’ll meet as a team and go from there,” Perry said of meeting with the team Monday. “I just want them to know that we’re there for them. I just want to make sure the kids are OK.”

Sebastian River High School is high school located in Sebastian, Florida, that was opened in August 1994. Grief counselors will be available at the high school for students and teachers beginning on Monday, September 17.

We're saddened to inform our SDIRC family that one of our SRHS seniors, Kamaree Lyons, passed away on Sat. evening. Kamaree was a member of the football and basketball teams and was well-loved by his friends and teachers. Our heartfelt condolences are with his family and friends. pic.twitter.com/el8IaxGNBb

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a Democratic Socialist congresswoman from New York City who is currently serving  New York’s 14th congressional district. In 2018, Ocasio-Cortez — at just 28-years-old — defeated incumbent Congressman Joe Crowley.

Ocasio-Cortez was born in the Bronx on October 13, 1989, and attended the local Yorktown High School. Following high school, Ocasio-Cortez enrolled in Boston University.

While at Boston University, Ocasio-Cortez was a part of the National Hispanic Institute’s Lorenzo de Zalvala Youth Legislative Session and became the group’s Secretary of State. While studying at BU, she interned in the immigration office of U.S. Senator Ted Kennedy.

After college, Ocasio-Cortez moved back to the Bronx, New York, to help her mother, who was struggling to make end’s meet after the death of her father in 2008. Despite graduating cum laude from Boston University’s College of Arts and Sciences with a bachelor’s degree in economics and international relations, Ocasio-Cortez worked as a bartender and as a waitress.

In 2018, Oscasio-Cortez, who had never previously held elected office, became the first person to challenge the Democratic Caucus Chair Joe Crowley in the Democratic primary since 2004. Her consequent victory of Crowley has been called the biggest upset victory of the 2018 midterm-election season.

This Is What It Took For A Chick-fil-A To Finally Be Open On A Sunday

Other than their utterly delicious chicken sandwiches and perfectly crisped fries (and same-sex marriage controversies), Chick-fil-A is known for one thing: being closed on Sundays.

Because many of the company’s values are influenced by the religious beliefs of its founder S. Truett Cathy, all Chick-fil-A restaurants are closed on Sundays, which is a wild concept in 2018 given the potential income that could be had on those days.

Nevertheless, Chick-fil-A has remained ardent in their beliefs throughout the years (for better or for worse) and have remained closed on Sundays. However, just because Chick-fil-A us closed on normal Sundays does not mean that the rules can’t be bent, especially when there are extraordinary circumstances like natural disasters.

via Business Insider:

The Chick-fil-A location coordinated with the Red Cross and donated 500 sandwiches and 1,200 nuggets to three different shelters for people who were forced to evacuate their homes.

While Chick-fil-A’s policy to remain closed on Sunday is well-documented, the chain makes rare exceptions in emergencies, providing free food to those in need.

“While Chick-fil-A restaurants are always closed for business on Sunday, some local restaurant teams volunteer to serve their communities in times of crisis,” the chain said in a statement to Business Insider.

This is not the first time that a Chick-fil-A franchise has acted when others are in need, as an Atlanta Chick-fil-A provided free meals to thousands of passengers who were stranded at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport after a power failure halted activity in 2017.

Twitter Reacts To The Patriots Trading For Josh Gordon

The New England Patriots acquired talented but troubled wide receiver Josh Gordon from the Cleveland Browns for a 5th round pick and Twitter reacted accordingly.

According to reports — originally from NFL Network’s Ian Rappaport — the New England Patriots sent the Cleveland Browns a 2019 fifth-round pick for Josh Gordon. If Gordon is not active for 10 games of the 2018 season, the Patriots will get back a 2019 7th round pick from the Browns.

Additionally, after not playing this weekend against the Saints in New Orleans, Gordon — who was nursing a strained hamstring — is reportedly healthy enough to suit up against the Detroit Lions this Sunday.

While the Browns originally announced they were going to be releasing Gordon, once they realized he could generate interest on the trade market (because, duh dude, he’s a 27-year-old elite athlete with the skill set to be a top 5 receiver, why wouldn’t you take a shot?!), they began talking with Cowboys, Redskins, 49ers and other potential suitors before Bill Belichick and the Patriots closed the deal.

Because of course they did. The Patriots always do.
