Serrano Intermediate School, a school located in Lake Forest, California, has announced that the building has been put on lockdown. According to a social media post issued by the school, the lockdown is connected to an incident in the Lake Forest area. According to early reports, describing the situation as a shelter-in-place lockdown, the school has also asked people not to try to contact the school during the initial announcement of the lockdown.

What happened?

The school issued the following statement on its official Twitter account:

“As a safety percussion, Serrano Intermediate is on a shelter in place lockdown. There is an incident in Lake Forest and I want to make sure that all your children are safe. Please, do not call the school. More information forthcoming.”

In 2015, Hardy played one year with the Dallas Cowboys but was let go after the season due to off the field issues. He hasn’t been signed by another NFL team since, and in 2016, he was arrested for cocaine possession.

2017-Present

In the fall of 2016, Hardy announced he would begin a career in the MMA. After winning his first three amateur fights, he was given the opportunity to fight professionally in the UFC in June 2018. The infant daughter of former Olympian Bode Miller has died in a tragic pool accident, reports DailyMail. Emeline Grier Miller drowned in the swimming pool of a neighbor’s home in Orange County, California on June 10, 2018.

Bode and his wife, Morgan Beck, who is currently pregnant, were at a neighbor’s party when their 19-month-old daughter ended up in the pool. Paramedics were rushed to the scene and performed CPR before transporting Emeline to a nearby hospital where she was unable to be resuscitated.

The Orange County Coroner’s Office confirmed Emeline’s death though they have not yet released the official cause.

In an Instagram post of Emeline, Body Miller writes, “We are beyond devastated. Our baby girl, Emmy, passed away yesterday. Never in a million years did we think we would experience a pain like this. Her love, her light, her spirit will never be forgotten. Our little girl loved life and lived it to it’s fullest everyday. Our family respectfully requests privacy during this painful time.”

Emeline was the youngest of the 40-year-old former Olympian skier’s four children. Her mother is Miller’s wife, Morgan Beck, 31, who plays professional volleyball. Beck and Miller have one other child together, Edward, who’s three years old.

Many fans and well-wishers have taken to Twitter to pay their condolences to the family, including fellow Olympic skiers Lindsey Vonn and Julia Mancuso.

Miller is a six-time Olympic medalist (1 gold, 3 silvers, 2 bronzes), winning gold in the super combined at the 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver. He last competed at the 2014 Olympics in Sochi. He retired in 2017 and attended the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympic Games as a commentator.

The Washington Capitals Stanley Cup parade takes place Tuesday, June 12 in the nation’s capital. More than 100,000 fans are expected to be in attendance as the Alex Ovechkin and company celebrate the first Stanley Cup in franchise history. The parade will begin at 11:00 a.m. ET before a rally is held at the National Mall.

With a perfect forecast, city officials are expecting a huge turnout that could even exceed the 100,000 projected fans.

Fans are expected to begin lining up before dawn, so if you want a close view of the parade route you will have to get out of bed early and suit up in your best Caps gear for the big celebratory day.

Well, ladies and gentlemen, today is National Jerky Day and it’s time to really enjoy those dried pieces of meat that are a protein-packed gas station staple. Yes, it sucks that you pay a solid five dollars and change for a grand total of three gargantuan pieces of dried teriyaki goodness and crumbs but it is well worth it. Jerky is one of those snacks that is always a solid choice anytime it is around. I mean seriously, how could you not love dried meat that comes in almost in any flavor you could think of? Jack Links is an absolute godsend to this world.

In that case, I may have to go get myself some beef jerky for tomorrow and feast like an absolute king. Some of the only downsides are that it can be tough to chew at times, and it gets stuck all the way in the back of your mouth. Don’t you just love it when you’re finished with your three pieces of five dollar meat, half of it gets stuck, and then it’s a pain in the butt to get rid of?

Forget just beef jerky, bacon jerky is an absolute gift from God. The fact that it even exists is a miracle and whoever invented it needs to enshrined in some sort of Hall of Fame. Bacon is amazing, jerky is amazing, so why not combine the two?

Now I’m getting really hungry just thinking about all of the different types of jerky in this world. The options are endless. Please take advantage of this day. It only happens once a year and it’s the day that you can truly appreciate the goodness of jerky.

The 2018 College World Series is all set. After a thrilling few days of action in the Super Regionals, the Road to Omaha is complete and the final eight teams will now battle it out for a shot at the NCAA Division I national championship. The College World Series kicks off Saturday, June 16 through Wednesday, June 27 at TD Ameritrade Park.

The eight teams participating in the tournament are the Arkansas Razorbacks, Florida Gators, Mississippi State Rebels, North Carolina Tar Heels, Oregon State Beavers, Texas Longhorns, Texas Tech Red Raiders, and Washington Huskies.

When the action resumes this weekend, there will be a doubleheader on each day. Saturday, June 16, Oregon State faces North Carolina before Washington takes on Mississippi State. On Sunday, June 17, Arkansas faces Texas before Florida vs. Texas Tech close out the weekend.

In the subsequent years, he played a veritable symphony of small parts in big projects, including a nameless protestor on an episode of Columbo, a one-episode part on Starsky and Hutch, and a small speaking part in Woody Allen’s Annie Hall. Though his first larger role was 1977’s Between the Lines, Goldblum didn’t truly enter the national stage until a year later with the Invasion of the Body Snatchers remake in which he was a secondary character. Immediately following that, he had an extended role on the popular show Tenspeed and Brown Shoe.

1980-1992

Goldblum spent the 80s’ as a staple of the B-movie and cult scene. His engaging performances and work ethic made him popular on the underground film circuit and his roles got progressively bigger to show for it. Though largely a television actor for the early half of the decade, he made one of his first iconic film performances in 1984 as the strange yet helpful cowboy named New Jersey in The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension. It was only two years later when he would land another landmark role, and his first major lead, in the 1986 practical effects masterpiece The Fly. In between them, however, Goldblum did a turn in the camp film Transylvania 6-5000, which is largely unremarkable but is where he met his future wife, Geena Davis, though he was already married to his first wife, Patricia Gaul, at the time.

Geena and Jeff got married in 1987, just a year after Goldblum’s divorce and a year before they both starred in the comedy Earth Girls Are Easy with fellow rising star Jim Carrey. This would be the last major hit Goldblum would be in for a few years, but he happily returned to his B-movie roots with the camp-comedy The Tall Guy and romantic-thriller Twisted Obsession. Goldblum took an abrupt departure from this trend in 1990 when he cameoed on Sesame Street and voiced a villain in the famously unsubtle and star-studded Captain Planet and the Planeteers. He and Davis divorced that year, only two years before Goldblum would explode into the mainstream with arguably his most famous role.

1993-Present

Though he wasn’t exactly an unknown before Jurassic Park, the dinosaur-centric film was definitely the world’s reintroduction to Goldblum as a viable A-list star. General audiences had just never seen such a strange performer, with his casual demeanor and fluctuating tone. He was immediately a hit and was selected to helm the sequel, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, in 1997. In 1996, Goldblum teamed up with notoriously hit-or-miss director Roland Emmerich for one of the director’s biggest hits, Independence Day, which allowed Jeff to further cement his talent and status in Hollywood. However, at the height of his popularity, Goldblum began taking smaller projects again. That’s not to say they were bad, but The Prince of Egypt, Cats & Dogs and Perfume weren’t exactly the same caliber as his projects in the mid-to-late 90s’.

That changed in 2004 when Goldblum met director Wes Anderson, who cast Goldblum in his new film The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou in what would be a mutually beneficial partnership moving forward. In the following years, Goldblum would have extended arcs on Will & Grace, Raines, Portlandia and Law & Order: Criminal Intent and work alongside the legendary Robin Williams in Man of the Year. In 2014, he not only got married to former Olympian Emilie Livingston, but he also began the process of reinventing himself. His career renaissance began with The Grand Budapest Hotel, another Wes Anderson project. Though he was forced towards a stumbling block in his journey of rediscovery in the disastrous Independence Day: Resurgence, he righted his course with a laudable performance as the classic comic character the Grandmaster in Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok.

2018 has been one of Goldblum’s most prolific years to date. He not only rejoined Wes Anderson on Isle of Dogs, but he is returning to the role of Dr. Ian Malcolm in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and received praise for his perfectly off-kilter performance in Hotel Artemis. On top of that, he still makes sporadic appearances on Portlandia and has lent his voice to several video games.
