Spensha Baker Instagram: Best Photos & Must-See Pictures

Spensha Baker has had something of a hero’s journey, from starting her career as the runner-up on 2004’s Star Search to being in the final four of 2018’s season of The Voice. She grew up an army brat, moving from base to base around the country. Despite this, Spensha always felt her true home was in Texas where she fell in love with gospel music.

After her big break on Star Search, Spensha was signed to Interscope Records and released the company’s first gospel record, Outloud!, in 2008. She went on a world tour with the album, which included a performance for President George W. Bush, before settling down in Nashville where country music entered her life. Unfortunately, the pressures of the music industry got to her, and she abandoned both music and Nashville for the familiar safety of San Antonio.

Instagram Photo

Though Spensha earned her real estate license and looked to be headed for a career as a realtor, she used her dedicated Christain faith to eventually rekindle her passion for music. In 2018, she returned to the stage once more for The Voice and, after a soulful rendition of the Beatles’s “Blackbird,” she accepted a position on Team Blake. Over the course of the season, she learned new tools of the trade from one of country music’s most prominent performers, advancing both in the competition and in viewers’ hearts to the final four.

Spensha stands a reasonable chance of winning the season, but the real question is what the future holds for her. Will she take her ball and go home, putting that real estate license to good use? Or will she continue with her passion and realize her potential to be the reigning queen of country that her followers already see her as? Only time will tell.

Mark Zuckerberg Net Worth 2018: How Much Is Facebook Founder Worth?

Mark Zuckerberg, the co-founder and CEO of Facebook, is one of the biggest faces on the planet. The 34-year-old is basically the forefather of social media. Back in 2004 while attending Harvard University, Zuckerberg invented Facebook and changed the world. Almost 15 years later, Zuckerberg is one of the wealthiest people on the planet, a philanthropist, and one of the most influential entrepreneurs the world has ever seen.

But as his stock continues to rise almost every minute of each passing day, how much is “Zuck” really worth in 2018?

Mark Zuckerberg Net Worth 2018: $66.4 Billion

Mark Zuckerberg today is worth an insurmountable $66.4 billion dollars. Imagine that, starting out with next to nothing when you started and a decade and a half later is now worth over half of a 100 billion dollars. Truly incredible.

Early Life (1984-2002)

Instagram Photo

Zuckerberg was born on May 14, 1984, in White Plains, New York to Karen and Edward Zuckerberg. He had three other siblings, his sisters, Randi, Donna, and Arielle.

Growing up in Dobbs Ferry, New York, a young Zuckerberg began to learn using computers and write software. His father taught him programming for Atari BASIC. He was also tutored privately by the software developer, David Newman.

As a teen, Zuck attended Ardsley High School where he shined in his studies. He would transfer to Philip Exeter Academy in New Hampshire. During this time, Zuckerberg decided to attend a graduate course at Mercy College focusing on programming.

At Exeter, Zuckerberg showed his genius. He won multiple awards in science and classical studies. While also there, he attended the John Hopkins Center for Talented Youth during the summer.

Before going to Harvard, Zuckerberg privately worked under a company name, Intelligent Media Group, building a music player, later revealed as, Synapse Music Player.

College Years (2002-2005)

Mark Zuckerberg College Years

After leaving Exeter, Zuckerberg took his talents to Harvard University. He was already given the reputation as “a programming prodigy”. At Harvard, he studied psychology and computer science. Zuckerberg also belonged to Alpha Epsilon and Kirkland House.

As a sophomore, Zuckerberg created a program called CourseMatch. The program gave users the options to make their classes based on choices of other students and form study groups. A short time later, he would create FaceSmash. FaceSmash allowed students to select the best-looking person from a number of pictures.

Once FaceSmash was shut down, Zuckerberg began a new project. In January 2004, he began writing code for his newest site, Thefacebook. On February 4, 2004, he launched Thefacebook, and in the process changed the media landscape forever.

Just a few days into its launch, Zuckerberg was accused by three fellow Harvard seniors, Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, and Divya Narendra for misleading them into believing he would help them develop their own social networking site, HarvardConnection.com.

After launching Thefacebook at Harvard, Zuckerberg quickly moved, bringing the site to other schools (Columbia, NYU, Stamford, Dartmouth, Cornell, University of Pennsylvania, Brown, and Yale).

As the site began to grow larger in size, Zuckerberg, fellow programmer Dustin Moskovitz, and friends moved to Palo Alto, California. He and his friends leased a small house that served as Facebook’s first office. During the summer, Zuckerberg met with Peter Thiel, who became the first investor in the Facebook brand. He also said during that time, that he and his group would return to Harvard, which never came to fruition. Zuckerberg would drop out of Harvard in his sophomore year to focus all his intentions on Facebook.

Instagram Photo

Zuckerberg settled out his lawsuits with the Winklevosses, Narenda, and Eduardo Saverin between 2007 and 2008.

In 2009, Vanity Fair named Zuckerberg number 23 on their list of the “Top 100 most influential people of the Information Age”. A year later, he reached the number one spot. Also in that year, New Statesmen chose him number 16 in their annual survey of the world’s 50 most influential figures.

On July 21, 2010, Zuckerberg and Facebook hit the 500-million user plateau.

Facebook and the Present (2010-Present)

Instagram Photo

In December of 2010, the Facebook founder, along with Bill Gates and Warren Buffet signed “The Giving Pledge”. An initiative where Zuckerberg and his counterparts would donate half of their wealth over the course of time to charity.

On October 1, 2012, Zuckerberg visited Russia and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev to help boost social media innovation in the country and boost Facebook’s pull in the Russian market.

Zuckerberg married his wife Priscilla Chan on May 19, 2012 in his backyard as a part of his celebration for Chan graduating from medical school.

In 2014 in Barcelona, Spain, he was the keynote speaker at the Mobile World Congress, speaking to over 75,000 delegates. A year later, Zuckerberg and his wife Chan pledged to give 99 percent of their Facebook shares to the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative.

The same day that Zuckerberg and Chan announced their initiative, they welcomed their first child. A daughter named Maxima Chan Zuckerberg.

On May 28, 2017, Zuckerberg received an honorary degree from Harvard.

Four months later on August 28th, he and Chan welcomed their second child.

Drake’s got another light-skinned beauty on his arm as he’s rumored to be dating Malaika Terry, a gorgeous Instagram model who has over 200,000 followers on Instagram.

Aubrey “Drake” Graham has been linked with some of the most beautiful women in the world during his career, reportedly dating Rihanna and Jennifer Lopez at one time or another. That’s not all that surprising, though, as Drake is one of the most famous and successful entertainers in the world.

Not much else is known about Malaika other than she’s 22, of Jamaican decent, and clearly Drake’s type.

via Hot New Hip Hop:

While it was rumored that the Canadian was dating English singer Raye last month, it appears as though he has moved on to somebody closer to home.

Recently, he was spotted out and about with a potential new bae in model Malaika Terr While not much is known about the 22-year-old Instagram personality, she has been using Drake lyrics in her social media posts as of late, reinforcing the rumored narrative of the two’s romantic connection. While it has not been confirmed that the two are, indeed, dating, they were relatively close while out in Toronto earlier this week. Using much of Jamaican culture in his music, it is unsurprising for Drake to fall for an island girl as her roots are from Jamaica and Ireland. We will keep an eye on this potential couple and provide updates as they become available.

Unai Emery Net Worth 2018: How Much Is Emery Worth Now?

$

News just surfaced that Arsenal has decided to name former PSG manager Unai Emery as the replacement for the legendary Arsene Wenger. Emery will have big shoes to fill when he takes over for the Frenchman. Wenger spent 22 years with the London based club and racked up a crazy amount of hardware. But Emry is no stranger to the big stage. He has managed multiple Champions League clubs and has won a multitude of trophies in the European Leagues. In a sport that is known for throwing a lot of money around, Emery has to have built quite a fortune right?

Unai Emery Net Worth: $13 Million

Turns out he is worth a whole lot of money! How did this player turn manager earn his fortune?

1971-2004

Instagram Photo

Emery was born in Hondarribia, Spain to a family already rich with soccer players. Both his grandfather and father had played Goal Keeper professionally and his Uncle played midfielder. He began his youth career as a left-side midfielder with Spanish side Real Sociedad.

After graduating from their Youth Academy he struggled to break into the first team, only making five appearances for the La Liga side while spending most of his time with Real Sociedad B in La Liga 2. He spent a decent amount of time with Spanish side Toledo between 1996 and 2000. After that, he would bounce around a few more clubs before retiring with Lorca Deportiva in 2004 at the age of 32. Emery would then begin to transfer into managing.

2004-2012

Instagram Photo

Emery was offered the Manager position at Lorca after suffering a major knee injury that contributed to his retirement. He was immediately a success, helping the club get promoted to the second division for the first time in their history. Emery would move to division two side Almeria in 2007  and help another team get promoted, bringing Almeria up into the top tier. The side would finish 8th the following season which would prompt Valencia to come knocking on Emery’s door. He would join los Che in 2008 and consistently appear in the Champions League with the club until 2012. He left the club to take the manager position at Spartak Moscow but would be fired due to poor performance in his first season. Emery would bounce back soon though.

2013- Present

Instagram Photo

Emery would return to La Liga to take over Sevilla. He would immediately make a splash, winning the 2014 Europa League Final. Emery would go on to repeat this feat two more times solidifying him as a top-tier managing talent. After winning three straight Europa League Finals Emery expressed his desire to leave the club. In June 2016 it was announced that Emery would be taking over the manager position at Paris Saint-Germain. He would qualify for the Champions League in both seasons with PSG and win the league in his second season. In April 2018 Emery expressed his desire to leave the French side which opened the door for Arsenal to pick him up.

Emery has a big void to fill in his new London home, but if he can find success he will have one of the most passionate fanbases behind him. Not to mention a lot of expendable income…

Malika Terry, a 22-year-old beauty of Jamaican descent, is reportedly Drake’s newest girlfriend, meaning he’s got yet another light-skinned beauty on his arm. Terry, an absolutely stunning Instagram model, has close to a quarter of a million followers on Instagram.

Drake, the rapper of “Nice for What” fame, has dated some of the most attractive women in the world during his decade-long career, reportedly dating Rihanna and Jennifer Lopez at one time or another. That’s not all that surprising, though, as Drake is one of the most famous and successful entertainers in the world.

Other than her age, descent, Instagram presence and dating habits, not much else is known about the mysterious Malaika Terry … other than that fact that she’s clearly Drake’s type.

Let’s Check In On How The MLB’s Rookie Managers Are Doing

$

First-year managers have always been a big deal in the MLB, and this year, some of the biggest and best ball clubs are trying to win a World Series with a rookie at the helm. A few teams have shown that the managerial change was necessary, and others still seem to be in the middle of a rebuild. Let’s take a look at how each first-year manager is doing with their new club.

Ron Gardenhire- Detroit Tigers

Instagram Photo

We can start with the only guy in the group who doesn’t have his first managerial job.

The Tigers weren’t expected to truly compete for anything this season, but Gardenhire has been able to keep the team somewhat relevant to this point. While future Hall of Famer Miguel Cabrera sits on the disabled list, the team’s potential All-Star candidate Nicholas Castellanos has led the way for the team, as they are only sitting at seven games under .500, a surprising mark for this Tigers team that doesn’t really have a ton of talent. The AL Central has been arguably baseball’s weakest division up until this point, so don’t count Gardenhire’s Tigers team out just yet.

Gabe Kapler- Philadelphia Phillies

Instagram Photo

Possibly the biggest surprise of the group, Kapler has started to restore a Phillies team that looked like a lost cause over the last few seasons. Kapler himself made some early season gaffes as manager, but those are growing pains that every rookie manager will have to go through. Since then, the Phillies have been on a tear and keeping up with baseball’s most surprising team, the Atlanta Braves.

Dave Martinez- Washington Nationals

Instagram Photo

After years of Dusty Baker at the helm and not a lot of playoff success to show for it, the Nationals made a change and put Dave Martinez in charge. In a surprisingly tough NL East division, the Nationals are currently sitting in fourth place, and are three games out of first. Their record is a little misleading to this point, as the Nationals had a stretch during the week of May 14thwhere they weren’t able to finish a game for six straight days! But no matter, Martinez has taken over a team with a lot of talent and managed it well to this point, but we’ll see what he and his coaching staff are really made of when it comes down to crunch time in August and September, but don’t let any of that fool you, these early season games matter, and might come back to bite this team.

Mickey Callaway- New York Mets

Instagram Photo

Sticking with the NL East AGAIN (last one here, I promise) Callaway led the Mets off to an incredibly impressive start early in the season, but they have come back down to Earth since that point. Callaway has had a lot of great moments early on in his managerial career, but he has also given baseball its worst moment of the season. During a game against the Cincinnati Reds, Callaway posted the wrong lineup card in the dugout, forcing the Mets to hit out of order. An embarrassing mistake from Callaway, but if he can find a way to overcome Jacob DeGrom’s injury, and keep the Mets in the playoff hunt, he’ll be a contender for Manager of the Year.

Aaron Boone- New York Yankees

Instagram Photo

Boone, who was pretty much handed this job because of one home run, hasn’t disappointed Yankee fans up to this point. After a slow start to the season, the Yankees hit their stride, winning 17 out of 19 at one point. Boone has shown at times that he has what it takes to be a great manager, but he was also gifted a super team, with one of the best bullpens in the league, and a lineup built to hit a ton of home runs in every park, let alone baseball’s smallest park. Boone has done a good job up to this point, and if he can avoid any major mistakes and injuries, this Yankee team might be able to coast to the playoffs. The AL East might be hotly contested though, thanks to another rookie manager in the division.

Alex Cora- Boston Red Sox (32-15)

Instagram Photo

Cora has had arguably the best impact of any rookie manager on this list. There were major problems between former manager John Farrell and just about everyone you can think of, from the media, to the players on the team. Cora, who got the Sox off to a 17-2 start, have come back down to Earth after the best start in team history, going 15-13 since, but he’s had his team playing excellent baseball. Cora’s impact has gone far beyond on the field, he’s impacted the clubhouse by giving it a much looser atmosphere, and the Red Sox are just playing much more together. Cora has made themes for all road trips, and the players really seem to be enjoying it. Combining that with the talent on this Red Sox team, and the AL East will be a hotly contested division come September.

NBA Activism: The League’s Landmark Season & Looking Ahead

$

Pillared by basketball’s holiest, the history of the NBA is rich with activism. Bill Russell–resolutely uncompromising, bold, and critical even of the racism infecting Boston, the city he brought 11 championships to–reinvented the modern black athlete during the Civil Rights Era. Oscar Robertson, once sent a death threat from the Ku Klux Klan via telegram while in college, was a tireless advocate for players’ rights and sued the NBA in 1970 in the groundbreaking move that yielded free agency. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar interviewed Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. at age 17, publicly supported Muhammad Ali’s refusal to go to Vietnam at age 20, and revealed that he had converted to Islam after winning his first of six championships at age 24–setting the tone for more than five decades of his own activism.

Today, the NBA is often lauded as a “progressive” outlier in the canon of American professional sports. In a September 2017 letter collaboratively penned by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver and NBPA President Michele Roberts, the league’s two leading faculty members encouraged their players to not be afraid of their power to be publicly impactful and socially active on a global scale. This move deviated from the NFL’s messy collision with the president based on peaceful protest by players and the league’s infamous blackballing of Colin Kaepernick.

Social impact in the 2017-18 season has proven that NBA players are as involved as ever in the real world beyond arena walls, and the league as a whole is supportive of players’ endeavors into activism.

Dwyane Wade, Chris Paul, Blazers for Gun Reform

Instagram Photo

Recent school shootings in Parkland, Florida and Santa Fe, Texas have left much of the country reeling. The NBA is equally invested, and has chosen action.

After learning that Joaquin Oliver, one of 17 left dead at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on February 14, was buried in a Dwyane Wade jersey, Wade himself recognized a call to action. The tragedy at Stoneman Douglas–just miles from where Wade and Gabrielle Union-Wade send their young boys to school every day–was close enough to home for the Wades to dedicate significant energy, personal time, and impactful money to one of this country’s most pressing epidemics.

Dwyane visited the school on the students’ first day back to class. Two weeks later, he and Gabrielle donated $200,000 to the “March for Our Lives” movement, sending young activists from Wade’s hometown of Chicago to Washington, D.C. for the milestone rally; Carmelo Anthony joined the cause, sending students from his hometown of Baltimore. Additionally, the Wades sponsored the “Parkland 17” interactive art exhibit, a space equally for grieving and for political action (a “Ring Your Rep” phone booth was available, allowing participants to contact political representatives directly to discuss gun control).

On May 18, eight students and two teachers were murdered at Santa Fe High School, about 40 minutes south of where the Rockets play in downtown Houston. Chris Paul was vocal about the gravity of the situation in the context of “minor” playoff basketball, citing concerns for his young children: “it’s scary that that’s becoming a norm here”.

Four days after the Santa Fe shooting, Microsoft co-founder and Portland Trail Blazers owner Paul Allen responded by donating $1 million to a Washington state-based initiative that aims to regulate firearms. Allen, a Seattle native and team owner of the NFL’s Seahawks, has targeted the Alliance for Gun Responsibility and its Initiative 1639, which, if added to the November 2018 Washington State election ballot, would:

Create an enhanced background check system applicable to semiautomatic assault rifles similar to what is required for handguns, require that individuals complete a firearm safety training course and be at least twenty-one years of age to purchase or possess such weapons, enact a waiting period for the purchase of such weapons, and establish standards for the responsible storage of all firearms.

Allen called I-1639 a “reasonable and necessary measure that will improve the safety of our schools and communities” in a series of tweets posted Monday. The proposed law is exclusive to Washington, but its success would no doubt set the tone for other states to energize similar campaigns. Having an NBA team owner behind I-1639 sets a precedent for other billionaire owners around the country to get involved. Allen and former Microsoft CEO and current Los Angeles Clippers owner Steve Ballmer allegedly fell out over smartphones, but it would do them and the league well to pair up on this issue.

J.J. Barea, Carmelo Anthony for Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico, ravaged by Hurricanes Irma and Maria in late Summer 2017, is still struggling with an extended recovery process. Many citizens are physically ill, in need of mental health care, and lacking medical resources–most especially, electricity. While the U.S. government has turned a blind eye, NBA representatives have not.

Instagram Photo

J.J. Barea has been in this fight since September. Barea, Dallas Mavericks lifer and Puerto Rico native, made his first big splash in relief efforts by stocking full the Mavericks’ team plane with supplies soon after Maria made landfall. His preseason was spent coordinating trip after trip to provide aid, assistance, and hope. Barea has crowdfunded upwards of $750,000 and convinced Mavs owner Mark Cuban to donate all ticket sales from an October game, generating an additional $114,000 to be contributed directly to Puerto Ricans in need.

Instagram Photo

Barea remains involved. In April, he and Cuban travelled to the island to oversee refurbishments of sports and youth facilities and a local bar. They experienced firsthand the blackout that continues to afflict the island seven months on, and Cuban noted, “there are so many places that need to be rebuilt, so much work to be done.” Further explaining that he was happy to “contribute again and bring more awareness to the status of the island”, it is incumbent upon billionaire Cuban to continue to be a resource and reminder of the continual, unjust mistreatment by the U.S. of Puerto Ricans who would just like to resume normality.

Instagram Photo

Just as well, Carmelo Anthony and his foundation have done incredible work in Puerto Rico. Anthony issued a call to action via The Players’ Tribune on September 22, explaining:

I’ve been texting my people down there for the past 24 hours, and I get nothing back. It’s the worst feeling in the world. Imagine texting somebody you love and getting no response for more than a day. It’s been days of nothing, and I’m sitting here on pins and needles. I’m just hoping and praying that one person hits me back and gives me some kind of update on what’s going on — let’s me know that everything’s OK.

Anthony’s personal distress paralleled the larger theme: “Puerto Ricans are our fellow Americans.”

Anthony’s YouCaring campaign raised close to $500,000, and according to updates on the page, the Carmelo Anthony Foundation donated and distributed 100,000 pounds’ worth of food and water. The foundation also paired up with UNICEF, Feed the Children, and Operation Airdrop, but pointed out in November, “we are making progress but still have a long way to go”.

Sacramento Kings for Black Lives & Police Accountability

Instagram Photo

On March 18, 2018, 22-year-old Stephon Clark was murdered by Sacramento police officers. The officers, who suspected Clark to be in possession of a gun, shot at the unarmed man 20 times in his grandparents’ backyard. Body cam footage showed the gruesome killing to be indefensible. Clark posed no threat to the officers. He was simply trying to enter his home.

The Sacramento Kings responded under pressure when local activists turned the Golden 1 Center into a public forum. On a night where 15,000 fans were turned away from a home game against the Atlanta Hawks, the Kings and team owner Vivek Ranadivé acknowledged the “horrific tragedy” of Clark’s death, and ended the evening with a promise: “we’re gonna work really hard to prevent this kind of a tragedy from happening again.”

Instagram Photo

Propelled by Ranadivé and players Garrett Temple and Vince Carter, the Kings put good use to their immense platform and put their money where their mouth is. The team facilitated discussion about Black lives and police violence in the subsequent weeks. They partnered with visiting Boston Celtics players on a public service announcement-style video that called for change, and both teams wore warmup shirts that implored accountability for Clark’s killers.

On March 29, the Kings made an extraordinary, radical move by announcing partnerships with the Build. Black. organization and the local Black Lives Matter chapter. The next night, Temple, Carter, and Doug Christie dedicated time to a youth-focused forum, laying groundwork for transformative local change.

While the Kings’ season ended mid-April, team representatives continue to do their part. On May 3, Temple announced a commitment of up to $20,000 to benefit local high schools. Temple visited Sacramento Charter High School a day earlier in a mentor role, leading discussions on race, leadership, and the importance of education.

This summer, the Kings’ union with Build. Black. will take shape with a co-ed youth basketball league. Announced on May 22, the Kings and Queens Rise league promises to “provide a caring and positive environment for Sacramento youth through community building, sportsmanship, and resources for health and safety”, building on the positives founded at the aforementioned forum held in March.

In the press release, which acknowledges support from the Black Child Legacy Campaign, Ranadivé is quoted as hoping “that this league will encourage an open dialogue to help our city grow stronger together”; the 16-team intramural league will represent eight Sacramento neighborhoods, with each boasting two co-ed teams of seventh and eighth graders and ninth and tenth graders.

Participants won’t just be competing for tournament glory, though:

Weekly practices will provide a fun and safe environment for young athletes to learn fundamental basketball, as well as serve as forums for valuable workshops designed to address a variety of topics from mental health to conflict resolution to responsible social media use.

With an emphasis on individual development beyond just success on the court, the Kings and Queens Rise league is shaping up to be an invaluable resource to Sacramento youth. League participants will also be invited to a public forum in early July, where they will be encouraged to discuss community-based issues before watching the California Classic.

It’s worth noting the Kings’ attention on reaching out to Black students through Black organizations–this team is not taking the type of colorblind approach to community outreach that the NBA is used to. The Sacramento Kings have emerged as league leaders in the contemporary campaign for Black lives, all the while honoring Stephon Clark and setting an example for the sports world at large.

Former Student Suing University Of Nebraska Fraternity For Alleged Rape

A woman is suing a fraternity at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, alleging that she was raped by a fraternity member “who gravitated to the most vulnerable women at parties.”

According to the Omaha World-Herald, The unidentified woman, a former Nebraska student, alleges that the assault took place the night of April 22, 2017, at the Alpha Theta Chi chapter of Chi Phi fraternity.

The woman, identified as “Jane Doe”, claims the alleged assailant was “drawn to vulnerable women at parties, had previously been inappropriate toward women and had been reprimanded for it.” However, the victim claims that the fraternity took no action to protect the woman from him, despite the fact that she claims other members of the fraternity knew that she was “incapacitated, vomiting and alone with him.”

via Omaha World-Herald:

According to the complaint, the woman was invited to the off-campus party at the Chi Phi house at 1143 S. 17th St. in Lincoln. While there, she drank two cups of “jungle juice,” a combination of some kind of alcoholic beverage and a mixer, and became incapacitated. About 12:30 a.m., she began to feel sick and vomited. A fraternity member took her to a private bathroom on the second floor, which was where he lived. At least two other frat members saw them there.

In the fraternity member’s room, he led her to his bed, where, clothed, she passed out. Later, she awoke briefly to find some of her clothing removed and the frat member on top of her, having sex with her without her consent.

“She was unable to move or speak and lost consciousness again within a few seconds,” the complaint said.

She awoke again several hours later. The woman’s attorney, Elizabeth Govaerts, said a police report was filed, and a Title IX sex discrimination investigation initiated. As a result of the Title IX investigation, UNL suspended the alleged assailant for two years, Govaerts said.

The suit does not list a specific dollar amount that Jane Doe is seeking, other than the $3,000 in medical expenses and other damages as decided by the court.

The SmackDown Live superstars look to gain momentum ahead of Money In The Bank in their first show back stateside from their European Tour. The Men’s MITB Ladder match is so close to taking shape while the Women’s match still has two spots up for grabs. There will be major PPV implications tonight in Massachusetts, here’s where you can see it!

Tonight SmackDown Live will be at the DCU Center in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Last week The New Day defeated The Bar for a chance to enter the MITB Ladder match. The catch was that only one member of the winning team could enter the match. Now we’re left wondering, which one of the three members of The New Day will represent the faction on June 17. The Miz believes he sees the end of The New Day quickly approaching so he has invited them onto Miz TV tonight to help figure which one of the superstars will be going to the MITB. The New Day swears that their friendship is stronger then The Miz thinks, but with a championship shot on the line, will that be enough to keep them together?

There are three spots left in the Women’s MITB Ladder match and two of those spots belong to the blue brand. Sonya Deville said she deserved another shot at a MITB qualifier match because it was Mandy Rose who tapped out to Becky Lynch in their triple threat. Former absolution leader turned GM, Paige, granted her this opportunity. She will have an uphill battle though because she will be taking on former SmackDown Live Women’s Champion Trinity. Lana will be taking on Billie Kay for one of those spots. The Ravishing Russian hopes to put down one half of The IIconics so that her husband, Rusev, and she can hopefully become the first Mr. and Mrs. Money in the Banks. Will this be the next step to having a truly Ravishing Rusev Day?

Daniel Bryan and Jeff Hardy both get another shot to try and get back into the MITB Ladder match picture. They will be taking on each other and the winner will be granted a qualifying match against Samoa Joe. Originally this was supposed to be Bryan vs. Big Cass, but after the brutal beating Bryan gave the big man, Hardy was put in the match. Whoever wins faces a huge obstacle in the form of Samoa Joe, but the two fan favorites are no strangers to overcoming the odds.

Shinsuke Nakamura won the right to choose the stipulation for his WWE Championship match against AJ Styles. Will the two come to terms on their match or will we see them degrade into more low blows? The two have a few weeks until they meet at MITB so there is a lot more time for these two to try and destroy their bitter rival and gain the upper hand, and it’s likely Nakamura plans to do just that.

The Eagle Rock School and Professional Development Center is a small school in Estes Park, Colorado that helps “adolescents who are not thriving in their current situations,” according to their website.

The active shooter suspect in Panama City Beach has been identified as 49-year-old Kevin Robert Holroyd. A spokesperson for the Bay County Sherriff’s Office says he is barricaded in an apartment in the Briarwood Apartments on Beck Avenue.

Unconfirmed reports indicate that three people have died as a result of the shooting at that Holyroyd is now in custody. A police official said that authorities made entry into the apartment that Holroyd was in but they are preceding with “extreme caution” after he reportedly soaked the apartment with gasoline.

Holroyd was previously wanted in a homicide investigation out of Walton County, Florida. The shooting took place at Briarwood Apartments on Beck Avenue in Panama City Beach, Florida. The Panama City Police, Bay County Sheriff’s Office, and Florida Highway Patrol were all on the scene.

via Fox:

The Bay County Sheriff’s Office confirmed multiple shots had been fired during the incident, but there had been “no shots from the suspect or [law enforcement] in the past hour,” just after 4:30 p.m.

Social media users posted photos and videos of SWAT officers and a large law enforcement presence along Beck Avenue, on the city’s west side. Several gunshots were audible in a live Facebook feed from the scene around 1:30 p.m.

The Bay County Sheriff’s Office said its bomb squad tried to breach the apartment’s front door with an “explosive technique,” but Holroyd had barricaded it from the inside.

The active shooting in Panama City Beach is just the latest in a string of threats, lockdowns, bomb threats, and active shootings that have plagued the United States.

Over the course of the past few years, shootings such as these have been a scourge upon the country and people have struggled with coming up with a solution. Lockdowns have become all too common as a means of protection when students and faculty are in danger and today is no different.

This incident follows similar incidents at Dodd Middle School in Connecticut, Windham Public Schools also in Connecticut, Pacoima Middle School in Los Angeles, Millennium Middle School in Florida, and US Grant High School in Oklahoma, which are just some of the places where events such as this have occurred.

Ajiona Alexus may be breaking into the limelight thanks to her role as Sheri Holland in Netflix’s hit show “13 Reasons Why,” but she has been in the acting world since the age of 12. Alexus, who was born in Tuskegee, Alabama and majored in Theater Arts at the Alabama School of Fine Arts, has also appeared in hit shows like Grey’s Anatomy and Empire, as a teenage Cookie Lyon.

She has also starred in movies like Acrimony and Breaking In, while releasing her first single on YouTube.

In Breaking In, Alexus plays the daughter of Gabrielle Union and credits the veteran actress for helping her continue to evolve in the field.

“I love her. She’s so amazing. She’s so real, she’s down-to-earth, she’s smart, she’s so capable of doing so many things. She’s definitely a role model for me, and she’s been such a role model through the whole process of filming the movie,” Alexus said in an interview with brit.co. “She’s more like a big sister for me. It’s a blessing to meet people like her in the industry and to be able to gain knowledge from them.”

As for advice she received from Union, Alexus says:

Don’t let anyone limit you. Understand that the smallest things are nothing, and the opportunity and what you’re capable of are limitless. You can do anything you want to if you put your mind to it. People are going to limit you and make you feel like, oh, well, this is too big. Never feel like anything is too big — always reach higher and above the stars.

At just 22 years old, the rising star has plenty left in front of her so it will be exciting to see how she continues to evolve throughout her career.

Alisha Boe burst onto the scene as a star on the Netflix hit show “13 Reasons Why” where she portrays Jessica Davis. However, the Norwegian-American actress has been in the field for a number of years. She first began her career as Lisa Swan in the film “Amusement,” before resurfacing in “He’s On My Mind” and “Paranormal Activity 4.” She also appeared in 15 episodes of the soap opera “Days of Our Lives.”

Because of her role in “13 Reasons Why,” Boe has been speaking out about survivor-shaming in sexual assault cases, especially in the wake of the ongoing #MeToo movement.

In the show, her character was raped by Bryce, who is portrayed by Justin Prentice, after a night of heavy drinking.

“There was a small percentage of people who would slut-shame Jessica and be like… ‘You’re the one that got drunk. Why did you fall asleep?,'” she said in an interview with Refinery29. “It made me realize the culture of victim-blaming. And I think in this whole year alone [after the #MeToo movement], it has shifted so much more… I feel like we’re moving towards a positive change where we actually believe women.”

The character continues to seek a sense of peace in the upcoming season.

“Jessica is moving towards trying to find a new normal,” Boe added. “[The series] picks up five months after the last season, and she is coming back and reintegrating into school, and trying to find a good support system.”

Season 2 of “13 Reasons Why” was released on Friday, May 18 and is currently available on Netflix.

Warren Buffett is the chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway. He is considered one of the most successful investors in the world. Buffett is also a very generous philanthropist, giving away more than $27 billion over the last decade to charitable foundations.

So, how much is Buffett worth?

Warren Buffett Net Worth as of 2018: $84.7 billion

Buffett achieved his massive amount of wealth through smart investments and from his role as CEO of Berkshire Hathaway. He currently sits as the third richest person in the world behind Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos.

Early Life

Instagram Photo

Buffett was born in Omaha, Nebraska on August 30th, 1930. Warren is the son of U.S. Congressman Howard Buffett and is one of three children.

At an early age, Warren expressed interests in stocks and investing. At just 11 years old he was picking out stocks. By 16, he had amassed in what would be equivalent to $53,000 today. Buffett was continually looking for new ways to create a revenue stream, from delivering newspapers to selling golf balls and stamps, you name and Buffett was finding a way to monetize it.

Buffett entered into the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1947. He would eventually transfer and graduate from the University of Nebraska at 19 years old. After his graduation from Nebraska, Buffett attended Columbia Business School.

1951-1969

Instagram Photo

From 1951-1954 Buffett worked as an investment salesman at Buffett-Falk & Co. Then, in 1954 Buffett worked as a securities analyst at Graham-Newman Corp. The Buffet Partnership was formed in 1956; the firm would then purchase Berkshire Hathaway.

In 1956, Buffett bought his house in Omaha, Nebraska, which he still owns to this day. He bought the house for $31,500.

In 1962, Buffett became a millionaire thanks to his various business partnerships.

1970-1990

Buffett acquired and was named the chairman and held the largest amount of shares of Berkshire Hathaway. Media outlets dubbed Buffett “the oracle of Omaha”.

In 1973, Buffett began investing in the Washington Post and eventually joined the board of directors. His interest in the news market did not end there. In 1977, Berkshire purchased Buffalo Evening News for $32.5 million. The purchase was challenged by rival Buffalo Courier-Express, the lawsuit ended with the Courier-Express folding in 1982.

By 1979, Buffett rapidly began acquiring stock in ABC. Buffett helped finance the Capital Cities takeover of ABC in 1985. The deal returned 25% stake of the company to Buffett.

In 1987, under Buffett’s direction, Berkshire Hathaway purchased 12% stock in Saloman Inc. making it the largest shareholder of the company and Buffett the director. The following year, Buffett purchased 7% stock of Coca-Cola Company valuing $1.02 billion. The Coca-Cola investment is still held today by Berkshire.

1991-2000

Instagram Photo

Buffett finally reached the billionaire milestone of his career. Berkshire buys 10% of Wells Fargo and continues its banking ventures by buying into M&T Bank and PNC Bank.

In 1992, Berkshire became the largest shareholder in General Dynamics. The investments continue with McDonald’s, Gannett, and Helzberg Diamonds.

Buffett gained 99% of his wealth after the age of 50. In 1999, Buffett was named the top money manager of the Twentieth Century.

2001-Present

Instagram Photo

In 2006, Buffett announced he would be giving away 85% of his stocks in Berkshire Hathaway to charitable foundations. The largest recipient of the donations was the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. In 2007, Buffett was listed as one of Times 100 Most Influential People in the World

During the financial crisis of the mid-2000’s Buffett was criticized for his handling of Berkshire Hathaway. The company suffered a 77% drop in 2008. Buffett referred to the recession as ‘poetic justice”. Even with the economic downturn and effects of the recession, Buffett was named the richest person in the world in 2008, passing his good friend Bill Gates. Buffett would fall behind Gates the following year, losing $25 billion over a 12-month span.

In 2011, President Obama honored Buffet with the Presidental Medal of Freedom and along with Bill Gates was named the most influential global thinker in Foreign Policy’s report. Buffett grew his net worth back up to $58.8 billion in 2013.

Buffett even with his substantial wealth lived a modest lifestyle. He never found much use for technology and says to spend 80% of his day reading. And when he is not reading is playing the game bridge. Currently, Buffett sits as the third richest man in the world.

Ohio State Suspends Two Fraternities For 5 Years

Ohio State University has suspended two separate fraternities for code of conduct violations. The university suspended Alpha Epsilon Pi and Sigma Alpha Mu on Friday, May 25, after the fraternities were found to have violated the alcohol, hazing and endangering behavior and failure to comply with earlier sanctions sections of the code of student conduct.

According to statements from Dave Isaacs, a spokesman for the Office of Student Life, both fraternities will not be able to petition for reinstatement until 2023. Alpha Epsilon Pi, commonly known as AEPi, was originally placed on cease and desist status since November 8, 2017, and was placed on probation and educational sanctions on January 8, 2018. In addition, Sigma Alpha Mu was the subject of two conduct cases in 2017, with the fraternity previously being suspended for two years in 2013.

Both fraternities will be given five days to appeal their suspension.

via Dispatch:

Both houses were among the 11 fraternities Ohio State said in November were under investigation when the university suspended “all social, recruitment and new member activities” at all 37 fraternities governed by its Interfraternity Council for violations, most involving hazing and alcohol use.

Members of houses suspended Friday received letters from the university that offered a five-day window to appeal the suspension and also support, including ways to find new housing.

No one from Sigma Alpha Mu or Alpha Epsilon Pi’s national headquarters, both based in Indianapolis, was available to comment Friday afternoon. Details on what fraternity members did to get suspended will be released by the university in the near future, said Dave Isaacs, spokesman for the Office of Student Life.

This is the latest major fraternity or sorority suspension or closure in the last year, as schools such as Indiana University, the University of Michigan, Ohio State University, Texas State, Florida State, Ball State, Louisiana State and Penn State have all suspended fraternities in the wake of hazing and alcohol deaths.

These reports come amidst similar allegations that have been made against fraternities nationwide, including Sigma Alpha Epsilon at East Carolina University, who were shut down for hazing and the Lamda Chi Alpha chapter at the University of Arkansas which has been accused of taking sexually explicit photographs of women without their permission.

In response to incidents like these, fraternities such Phi Kappa Psi have made numerous changes to their code of conduct in an effort to address the issues that have arisen. In addition, schools such as Texas State have introduced new Greek Life rules to try and prevent these problems.

NFL Draft 2019: Location, Date, Venue & Start Time

The 2019 NFL Draft location and host city has been announced. After weeks of rumors and speculation, the National Football League confirmed on Wednesday, May 23 that the league’s 84th annual meeting will take place in the city of Nashville, Tennessee. While an exact location has not been announced, a press release from the league stated it will be “incorporating iconic city landmarks across the Music City stretching from Lower Broadway to Nissan Stadium.”

“Following an exciting and successful event in Dallas, we’re thrilled to take the NFL Draft to Nashville. The city has a passionate fan base and offers iconic locations that will enable us to expand the Draft in unique ways,” said NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. “We look forward to working with the Tennessee Titans, the City of Nashville, and the Nashville Convention and Visitors Corp to deliver a memorable celebration of football to our fans and incoming players.”

In recent years, the NFL has strayed from tradition and moved the draft out of New York City, where it had been held for years.

In 2015, the NFL Draft moved to Chicago, Illinois which marked the first time since 1965 that the draft was held outside of New York City. It was held at Auditorium Theatre in Grant Part which marked the first draft to feature an outdoor component. The draft returned to Chicago in 2016 after the great reception a year prior. In 2017, the draft shifted to Philadelphia where it was held on the iconic Rocky Steps outside of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. It was the most attended draft in NFL history with more than 250,000 fans.

Then, in 2018, the draft was held at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas and it marked more NFL first’s. It was the first time in history that the draft was held in the state of Texas, while also being the first draft to take place in an NFL stadium.

The 2019 NFL Draft will be held April 25-27.

Pilar Rubio: Hottest Photos of Sergio Ramos’ Wife

I have to admit I’m not a big soccer guy at all, but I will give credit, where credit is due; soccer players pull in the HOTTEST chicks. It’s honestly not even close. I mean some of these players are not even well known and are just snatching up smokeshow after smokeshow. Don’t get me wrong I will always rip on soccer and will never call it by that “other name” the rest of the world uses because the only “football” that exists is American football. Call it American ignorance or what have you but until the U.S. falls that’s the way it is.

Anyway, now that I have expressed my disdain for the sport let’s get back to what soccer is best for, introducing us to hot women. And, soccer player Sergio Ramos’ girlfriend, Pilar Rubio, is one of the hottest ones out there.

Instagram Photo

Fucking soccer players, man, they just absolutely crush it in the women department. Rubio and Ramos have been dating since 2012 and recently had their third child together, but if you take one look a Pilar, you won’t notice another human just developed and squeezed its way out of that body. It’s uncanny how some of these women pull it off.

Rubio is a popular Spanish reporter and TV presenter and won the Best Television Presenter reporter award with Premio Joven in 2007. She also comes in with a cool 2.2+ million followers on Instagram. Count me as one of them as I just pounded that follow button. Honestly what sucked me in, is her eyes. It may sound corny, but once glance at them and you’ll be stuck in her trance.

Damnnnn. I don’t know if they are real or if they are contacts, or whatever, either way, I am under her spell for life. Also, she is bringing fanny packs back, and if a girl can look this hot in a fanny pack, I’m soooo in.

Summer of 2018 isn’t #ComebackSZN because of Johnny Manziel, it’s the return of #FannyPackSZN.
