A law enforcement official confirmed that the two people killed by Central Michigan University student James Eric Davis Jr. were his parents. The law enforcement official, speaking to WWJ Newsradio 950, said the victims were the shooters’ parents.

Central Michigan University police confirmed that two people were fatally shot inside the dorm, adding that the deceased are not students. Police believe the situation stemmed from a “domestic situation,” and a law enforcement official speaking to WWJ Newsradio 950 said the victims were the shooters’ parents. There are reports that additional people have been shot and wounded, although details were not immediately confirmed.

What happened at Central Michigan University?

It was reported on the morning of March 2nd, that two people on been shot in a residence hall on the campus of Central Michigan University. The suspect had fled the scene after the killings took place. It is known that the two victims were not CMU students. The violence appears to have arisen due to a domestic incident between Davis and the victims.

Who is James Eric Davis Sr.?

Identified as the father of shooting suspect James Davis Jr., Davis Sr. was reportedly one of the victims along with Davis Jr.’s mother. As of 11:50 AM, no further details have been released regarding the victim but this post will be updated as more information becomes available.

A large police presence was seen at Comstock Middle School in Dallas around noon on Friday, with one person arrested at the school. Police confirmed that no shots or weapons were found at the school.

What happened?

At this time, it is believed that no kids were harmed during the incident. Reports of a possible shooting came out around noon at the school.

On Twitter, the following update confirmed that the lockdown had since been lifted from the school:

“Dallas ISD spokesperson reports that no shots were fired and no weapon was found. Police have a person in custody but it is not a student. Comstock Middle School is no longer in lockdown.”

“The student who claimed he was being shot at went to a school resource officer at the campus and told him he was being followed and shot at, which triggered the massive response and a lockdown of the campus.”

“Two people were detained by police, but it’s not clear if they will face any charges. Footage from SKY4 showed a woman being taken into custody and placed in the back of a Dallas ISD Police squad car. It’s not known what her connection to the incident is, yet.”

On March 1st, Smith was sat down for the Cleveland Cavaliers game against the Philadelphia 76ers for an unknown reason. It was reported by ESPN’s Brian Windhorst on March 2nd that Smith was sat down because he got into an altercation with Cavaliers assistant coach Damon Jones. Smith, for some reason, decided to chuck a bowl of soup at Jones.

You could have given me a million guesses on why Smith was suspended and “throws a bowl of soup at assistant coach” would have probably been 999,991st on the list. It is just such an absurd story that with any other player it would probably wouldn’t be believed, but with J.R it’s a completely reasonable scenario.

Now I know what you’re probably thinking: what kind of soup was it? Chicken Noodle? Minestrone? Beef Stew? A chowder of some sort? As of now, there are no confirmed reports of the type of soup but stay tuned for possible confirmation.

Smith was only suspended for the one game, so he’ll most likely be back with the team for their next game against the Denver Nuggets.

Stephanie Peterson is a married Florida middle school teacher who found herself in serious trouble after being arrested for an alleged sexual relationship with a 14-year-old male student. The 26-year-old eighth grade science teacher is also accussed of sending the boy nude photos and providing him with marijuana and paraphanelia (bowl) to smoke the illicit substance. She resigned from her job at New Smyrna Beach Middle School on Monday, February 26th, citing “personal reasons.”

On Wednesday, February 28, 2018, Peterson was arrested and charged on two counts of lewd or lascivious battery and one count of transmission of harmful materials to a minor.

According to The Daytona Beach News-Journal, a court affidavit specified that the accused would pick up the male student after her husband had left for work. Peterson would arrive at the boy’s home late at night (11 A.M.) and then drop him back off at home at 1 or 2 A.M. According to authorities, the relationship between Peterson and the boy is believed to have stared in November 2017.

On February 27, the victim first told police of his alleged sexual relationship with Peterson. He had reportedly informed his parents of the relationship with the teacher because he claimed that the relationship had made his grades suffer. He also told his parents that Peterson told him to not inform anyone about their relationship. It isn’t known whether or not she was the boy’s school teacher.

The relationship is believed to have started in November. A detective responded to the victim’s family’s home Tuesday after the student disclosed the relationship to his parents. The student, an 8th grader, told detectives Peterson would send him nude photos. He said she started coming to his home at night, picking him up around 11 p.m. on several occasions and bringing him back around 1 or 2 a.m.

The victim reported that Peterson told him they couldn’t tell anyone about their relationship or they’d get in trouble. He also said she bought him marijuana and bowls for smoking it, and his grades suffered after their relationship started.

As the news of Peterson’s arrested emerged in the media, both her and her husband’s social media profiles were deleted from the internet. Her husband is 31-year-old Brandon Ferri. He is a fishing enthusiast who works as an EMT with the Deland Fire Department. On February 12, divorce papers were filed between Peterson and Ferri.

Peterson is being held on a $25,000 bond.

When talking about a particular group of players who were ill instead of injured, Klopp said that while one of them was sick with a cold, the other two were sick with … diarrhea.

After a chorus of laughter, the English media was quick to advise Klopp that there’s a more, uh, public-appropriate phrase: “the runs.”

Theodor Seuss Giesel was born on March 2, 1904 in Springfield, Massachusetts. He would have turned 114 today if he didn’t pass away on September 24, 1991.

How did he get the name of Dr. Seuss? It’s a funny story actually. According to Biography.com, the future children’s author picked up the penname of Dr. Seuss in his senior year at Dartmouth College. The reason he adopted this name is simply because he was prohibited from contributing to the campus’ humor magazine after he was discovered drinking gin in his dorm. Who knew Dr. Seuss was a total bro?

For all those writers who are feeling down after receiving rejection after rejection from publisher after publisher, you should keep in mind that Dr. Seuss’ first novel was rejected 27 times. That’s right! Even the great Dr. Seuss had trouble getting published. On March 2nd, a nor’easter, bomb cyclone, winter storm or whatever other names the weather people are calling it now, rolled through the Northeast and wreaked all sorts of havoc in the region. From Washington DC to New England, residents were pounded with freezing rain, snow and strong winds that caused nightmares for travelers.

The passengers on a United Airlines’ flight that landed at Washington DC’s Dulles’ airport had a pretty rough go of it.

As the aircraft was in flight and the pilots checked in with air traffic control, the operators received the following message:

Listen, flying and traveling via public transportation generally sucks. You have bags to check, security to go through, loud children and crying babies to deal with, but I think it’s safe to say that a flight full of people throwing up tops the list of “this is what my actual nightmare looks like.”

It’s bad enough when the passengers are throwing up, but when the pilots, the guys that fly for a living, almost throw up too, that’s when you things have taken a turn for the worse.

Fortunately, there were no significant incidents, severe sickness or injuries that occurred on the flight and the plane was able to land safely at Dulles, according to a spokesman for the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority said.

Let’s hope that these passengers’ next flight goes a bit smoother than this one.

Rapper Rick Ross, 42, has been hospitalized after falling ill in his Florida home on Thursday, according to the Davie Police Department. Police and emergency crew were called to the rapper’s home after he was “found unresponsive,” according to USA Today. According to a dispatch report sent to USA Today, police received a 911 call asking for assistance for a man who met Ross’ description “in distress”, breathing heavily and “slobbing out the mouth.” When he awoke, he was reportedly “combative” with authorities, according to avclub.com.

According to TMZ:

Rick is in a Miami area hospital getting treatment in the cardiac unit — a strong sign he might have suffered a heart attack which manifested itself as respiratory issues early Thursday morning.
TMZ broke the story … Rick was rushed to a hospital after a 911 caller reported he was unresponsive and “slobbing at the mouth.”

Initial reports from TMZ suggested that Ross was put on life support and was receiving treatment in the cardiac unit after suffering a potential heart attack and/or possible pneumonia.The report said that the life support machine took over function of his heart and lungs.TMZ also reported that Ross was put on an ECMO machine, or extracorporeal membrane oxygenation. This machine oxygenates blood by pumping out and back into the body, and is used on people who have either lung or heart failure.

However, a recent report by XXL suggests that Ross was never put on life support. Rapper Fat Trel took to Instagram to dispelled the report/rumor that Ross had been put on life support, but confirmed that Ross is, in fact, hospitalized. Trel wrote on Instagram that  “JUS TALKED 2 MY BIG HOMIE… HE GOOD… HE IN DA HOSPITAL BUT HE IS NOT ON “LIFE SUPPORT” … HE GOOD”

Ross’ family also denies the reports that the rapper has been put on life support. TMZ also reports that his family also denies that Ross has been hospitalized in the first place.

TMZ also reported that Ross was receiving respiratory treatment, potentially for pneumonia. However, the same report says that someone connected to Ross “says that medical issue is heart related.”

According to TMZ, someone at Ross’ Miami-Dade home called 911 at around 3:30 A.M. to report that the rapper was in bad condition, unresponsive and heavily breathing. Ross was originally suppose to make an appearance Thursday night, but that was canceled because of his hospitalization.

Back in 2011, the rapper suffered a series of seizures. However, it isn’t clear what his prognosis is at this moment.

The Metropolitan Police Department is responding to reports of shots fired near the White House North Lawn, with White House reporters being placed on lockdown in the press briefing room.

What happened?

President Donald Trump was in Florida at the time of the shooting, which was first reported on by early Saturday morning, and would not have been directly impacted by the incident. According to the BBC, he is scheduled to soon return to Washington.

The Secret Service confirmed that medical personnel was attending to a male victim; so far, no one else has been injured in the incident.

Geoff Bennett, a White House correspondent for NBC News, confirmed that journalists were “sheltering” in the press briefing room.

UPDATE: Fox 31 confirmed that the shooter shot himself in front of the White House, suggesting that the shooter and male victim mentioned above were one in the same, although this is unconfirmed:

“[There were] reports of a person who allegedly suffered a self-inflicted gun shot wound along the north fence line of [the] White House.”

At this time, it is believed that the male victim has been taken to a local hospital for treatment; at this time, his current condition is unknown to the public.

Deputy press secretary Hogan Gidley also released the following statement:

“We are aware of the incident. The President has been briefed. I refer you to the Secret Service for any more information.”

UPDATE: USA Today has confirmed that the male victim had died from his wounds in the following statement from police:

“The adult male who reportedly shot himself has been declared dead. His body remained on scene. We’re working to notify next of kin.”

According to a call made to 911, rapper Rick Ross,42, has been transported to the hospital after reportedly being found unresponsive in his Florida home. The call, which was first reported on The Blast, Ross was said to have been “unresponsive,” “breathing heavy” and “slobbing out the mouth” before being taken to a nearby hospital.

The influential rapper has been plagued by seizures throughout his life and has been reported they used to happen two to six hours apart. Following the health scares, Ross decided to make a change in his eating appetites to help keep him around longer. The changes in his diet and increased exercise helped him lose over 75 lbs.

TMZ, who initially broke the story, has said the call came into 911 dispatch at 3:30AM early Thursday morning. When first responders arrived on the scene, it was reported that Ross became attentive and combative against responders. Later on that day, TMZ then reported that Ross is now hooked up to an ECMO, an extracorporeal membrane oxygenation machine which is a form of life support used to treat blood with oxygen. With this being reported, it still remains unclear what exactly happened to Ross but signs are pointing to a possible heart attack.

Ross’ family has denied these claims and the claims that the Floridian rapper is even in the hospital, although Police Enforcement has confirmed the call and the person’s history with seizures, a semi-confirmation that it is indeed Ross.

Rick Ross has been a huge influence on the hip-hop world since his first album, Port of Miami, which released on his own label, Maybach Music Group, back in 2006. Since then he has released eight more albums and even has one in the works for 2018 called Port of Miami 2: Born to Kill, a sequel album to the album that helped him become a star.

A Texas man, Mark Howerton, has been charged with the murder and sexual assault of a Trinity University cheerleader, Cayley Mandadi, 19 at the time of her death, after turning himself into local authorities.

What happened?

According to KENS 5, Howerton told Bexar County Police that he had consensual but rough sex with Mandadi, who died over last year’s Halloween weekend. After they went to the Mala Luna music festival in San Antonio, Howerton brought Mandadi, unresponsive and nude from the waist down, to Luling’s Seton Edgar B. Davis Hospital on October 29, claiming that he noticed she had stopped breathing and attempted to perform CPR before bringing her to the hospital.

However, in Howerton’s arrest report, officials noted that Mandadi’s injuries were consistent with sexual assault, including blunt force trauma to the head; her official cause of death was ultimately given as blunt force head and face trauma. Using that evidence, police eventually charged Howerton with sexual assault and murder.

According to Express News, authorities noticed that none of Mandadi’s possessions her found in his car, which contradicted earlier claims that she and Howerton were planning on going on a trip together. It was also noticed that Howerton had red knuckles in a manner consistent with punching someone and scratches on his arms.

This past October, Trinity Police informed local students of a criminal trespass warning for Howerton, who was not a student at the school, although it was not initially connected to Mandadi’s death.
