Celebrate Christmas with the dankest memes and GIFs on the web. There’s still quite a bit of time to go before jolly old Kris Kringle slides down your chimney to deliver his neatly-wrapped gifts. Until then you’ll just have to make due with what’s on your computer screen.

Speaking of making due with what you’ve got, how’s President Trump doing? I heard he’s bringing Christmas back, b*tches. Hillary wouldn’t have done that (that’s for darn sure). Santa will surely put plenty of presents in Donnie Freedom’s stocking and plenty of coal for the crooked one and her cronies CNN. What a goi! Really gets you in the Christmas spirit, huh?

Though on the other end of the coin…

You decide which one makes more sense. Keep up the bad work, folks!

Enough political bull-sh*t, you’ve probably heard enough Trump this and Trump that. Take a load off from the daily propaganda, take a break and have some peace with your family. And what better way to celebrate this joyful occasion than with the best Christmas memes and GIFs on the whole damn ‘net.

Make Christmas Memes Great Again!

College is the first time a lot of NERDS (kidding? kind of?) people experiment with drugs, marijuana included. But now at one Mighican college, even students who don’t get high may find themselves crossing paths with the chronic.

Northern Michigan University (does Michigan have a university for every direction on the compass?) is now offering a course called “Medicinal Plant Chemistry”.

Medicinal Plant Chemistry is a four-year course involving chemistry, biology, botany, horticulture, marketing, and finance. According to Dr. Mark Paulsen, director of the university’s chemistry department, although the course its first semester, the class has 12 students and the number is increasing every week.

While schools such as Harvard, University of Denver, Vanderbilt University and Ohio State offer marijuana-business related courses, NMU claims there’s is “the only degree program of its kind.”

via NMU:

Increasing legitimacy and legality of medicinal plants nationwide has created great demand for qualified technical personnel and great opportunity for the skilled entrepreneur in the cannabis, herbal extract, and natural product industries.

Medicinal Plant Chemistry at Northern Michigan University is the only 4-year undergraduate degree program of its kind designed to prepare students for success in the emerging industries relating to medicinal plant production, analysis, and distribution.

The required coursework provides a foundation in chemistry and plant biology, with a capstone research experience involving experimental horticulture and instrumental analysis of natural products, while focus tracks allow students to explore their interests in the relevant areas of business and accounting (Entrepreneurial Track) or advanced topics in chemistry and biology (Bio-analytical Track).

As of today, the legal marijuana business employs between 165,000 and 230,000 Americans. In 2016, the recreational and medicinal legal marijuana industry earned $6.8 billion nationally in sales.

By 2021, the market is projected to grow to $21.6 billion.

A 19-year-old student from the University of Georgia was arrested and charged after a high-speed chase where he reached speeds up to 110mph.

Hunter Wilkerson was arrested early on Thursday while speeding down a 35mph zone in Athens, Georgia. According to local police, Wilkerson was speeding because he stole five traffic signs off the campus at UGA.

He was spotted by Athens-Clarke County police traveling at 90mph in a 35mph zone around 3:30 AM. Epifanio Rodriguez, a police spokesman for the Athens-Clarke County said that “At that point in itself he’s reckless,” and that Wilkerson is “putting lives in danger, to include his own and anyone else who’s on the roadway.”

University police chased Wilkerson for approximately 10 minutes before his vehicle went airborne and crashed, slamming into several cars that were parked in front of the UGA police headquarters.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, when Wilkerson was in handcuffs, another officer found his cellphone in the truck. Wilkerson was still logged in to Snapchat, where police said he’d zoomed in on his speedometer hitting 110 mph. Wilkerson allegedly bragged that he was leading a police chase.

“An officer looks through his phone and sees he was active on social media, Snapchat, and was sending out updates saying that he was in a pursuit with the police officer,” Rodriguez said.

Wilkerson faces 25 charges, including fleeing a police officer, DUI and reckless driving.

Here’s How To Find The Cheapest Flight For Your Spring Break 2018 Trip

$

Spring Break will be here before you know it. This means you’ll need to act fast and grab hold of the cheapest flight deals possible, this way you won’t have to break the bank for Spring Break. You’ll need that money for whatever crazy shenanigans you run into while on vacation.

When it comes to vacations, the three top priorities are flight times, costs, and comfort. But if you’re just looking to squeeze that penny and make that dollar go far then you’ll need to check out these six tips that will help you find the cheapest flights around.

Tip #1: Avoid traveling on Friday, Saturday or Sunday

Best Spring Break Deals 2018: How To Get The Cheapest Airfare

Shutterstock

These days are peak travel times. Absolutely avoid flying on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. It’ll really help out your checkbook.

Tip #2: Book your flight 4-5 months in advance

Best Spring Break Deals 2018: How To Get The Cheapest Airfare

Shutterstock

It’s best not to book your flight too soon or too late. Booking your flight eight months in advance means that you’ll have to pay the full price, so you’ll miss out on plenty of future deals for a reduced cost. And if you’re looking to book at the last minute, don’t expect your airline to give you any cool deals (they’ll probably give you the highest price possible). The sweet spot for booking a travel package is 4-5 months in advance. During that time, you’ll find plenty of awesome deals to sink your suitcase into.

Tip #3: Make online booking engines your best friend.

Shutterstock

You should seriously make online booking engines your BFF. STS Travel is offering amazing vacation package deals, and you’ll be able to stay at 5-star hotels at only a fraction of the cost if you book now. This booking engine provides the option of group air blocks or scheduled flights. However, the cheapest flights may require lengthy connections along with late departures or early arrivals to your vacation destination.

Tip #4: Avoid those pesky fees

Shutterstock

With the exception of Southwest, airlines have upped the fees for those annoying cancellation charges. You can avoid this hassle by purchasing a trip cancellation plan with STS Travel.

Tip #5: Look out for extra charges

Best Spring Break Deals 2018: How To Get The Cheapest Airfare

Shutterstock

Be aware of all the extra fees that can be tacked onto your flight cost. For example, Spirit Airlines offers very low airfare prices. However, they will charge you for checked and carry-on luggage, meaning you’ll wind up paying more than what’s advertised. On the other hand, Southwest doesn’t charge regular baggage fees so the price of airfare will not change. However, if your checked bag exceeds 50 pounds and or 62 inches then you will be charged $75.

Tip #6: What if I’m traveling in a group of 10 or more people?

Best Spring Break Deals 2018: How To Get The Cheapest Airfare

Shutterstock

Booking options will be very different for you if you’re going on vacation with 10 or more people. In a lot of cases, airfare will be slightly more expensive than usual. However, most airlines will be quite flexible with name changes or substitutions. If at any point you notice a drop in airfare price for your flight contact your booking agent asap, as occasionally airlines will offer reduced prices for groups.

Remember Ed Sheeran’s ‘GoT’ Character? Yeah, Ed Sheeran Says He’s Totally Dead

HBO

While fans and critics alike were more critical of this season of Game Of Thrones than past seasons, one of the loudest, and most peculiar criticisms was of Ed Sheeran’s cameo appearance in the season premiere.

In the season opener, Arya is traveling to King’s Landing, she comes across a group of Lannister soldiers gathered by a campfire, singing a tune. And who was singing that tune? DING DING DING. Ed Sheeran, the Red Man (that’s a Red Woman pun, get it?). According to showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, Sheeran’s cameo was intended to be a surprise to Maisie Williams, the actress who plays Arya, who apparently has a real-life affinity for Sheeran.

Sure, Sheeran’s cameo was a little out of place and brought a little reality into a fantasy show, but the scene was about four minutes of an eight hour season. Who the hell cares? Does Ed Sheeran have a super punchable face? Yes. And do we hope Arya killed the shit out of his character? Of course! But did it really matter? Not at all.

Of course, Sheeran was eventually asked what he thought the fate of his character was, and like most of us, thinks he’s dead:

“We were all quite young, those soldiers. I doubt I’m going to survive for that long, to be honest, when there are dragons in the world.”

“No one wants to see me come back. I wanted to be a cameo in it, and I’ve done the cameo,” Sheeran told MTV.

Given that most of the Lannister soldiers were burnt to a crisp during the Loot Train Massacre in “The Spoils of War”, we like to imagine that Sheeran’s character was barbequed, too.

Jurrasic World: Fallen Kingdom is officially the 5th film in the Jurassic Park franchise. But it’s the first film where the mission is to protect dinosaurs rather than protect vulnerable humans from the jaws and claws of raptors or a gigantic tyrannosaurus rex interrupting folk in cars and on the toilet.

Rutgers University President Uses The KKK Are An Example Of Free Speech

Back when I went to Rutgers from 2011-2016, the University’s president, Robert Barchi, was constantly putting his foot in his mouth.

Whether it be the handling of Mike Rice (remember, the basketball coach who was throwing balls at his players) or just other general day-to-day happenings at Rutgers, Barchi always seemed to say the exact wrong thing at the exact wrong time. Also, look at the dude: total goober.

Anyway, speaking during a student government town hall, Barchi said: “If I’m a Ku Klux Klan member, and I’m going to burn a cross on a vacant lot, that’s a constitutionally protected right.”

via Tap Into New Brunswick:

At the November 16 student government town hall, Barchi noted the protections to incidents such as the anti-Semitic posts allegedly shared on the Facebook of a food science professor, the swastika graffiti on a Rutgers dorm, and an international law professor who accused Israel of trafficking human organs.

“If I’m a Ku Klux Klan member, and I’m going to burn a cross on a vacant lot, that’s a constitutionally protected right,” Barchi said, although the act of burning something would likely be prohibited by local ordinances.

“You put that cross on my front yard, and you light it, that is not constitutionally protected, that’s harassment. It’s an exception to the First Amendment. It is free speech, it’s not hate speech,” Barchi said, prompting a loud and visceral response from student activists who attended the meeting and insisted that it was in fact hate speech.

“If it’s a general building on the university, that’s First Amendment rights,” Barchi said.

President Barchi also spoke in support of three professors who have come under fire for their comments, arguing that what they’ve said is protected by academic freedom and the First Amendment. Those rights would extend to Michael Chikandas, a microbiology professor in the food science department, who allegedly shared dozens of anti-Semitic posts on his Facebook. Thousand of students have since signed a petition calling for his removal from the university, which so far, has garnered over 5,000 signatures.

Now, while what Barchi is saying is technically true, it doesn’t mean he should go around saying it. Like, you know when your girlfriend looks tired, and instead of saying “hey, you look like shit” (even though its true) you just keep your mouth shut? Barchi should try the same.

One Of Facebook’s First Investors Says He Now “Consciously Objects” Social Media

Okay, this is not Sean Parker — this is Justin Timberlake playing Sean Parker in The Social Network (which now I’m thinking about watching later because that movie is awesome). But I figured the only way you’d know who the hell I was talking about is if I used Timberlake’s portrayal of the character. Did it work?

Anyway, $2.5 billion dollars later, it appears as though Parker has seen the light, as he has recently come out with some damning statements about the social media giant and their methodology.

Parker, who now considers himself a “conscientious objector” of social media, was speaking with Axios earlier this week when he delved into why exactly everyone on Earth seems to love and need social media so much.

Parker said that he and people like Zuckerberg realized they could keep their users engaged by “exploiting a vulnerability in human psychology’ and creating ‘a social-validation feedback loop.”

“And that means that we need to sort of give you a little dopamine hit every once in a while, because someone liked or commented on a photo or a post or whatever. And that’s going to get you to contribute more content, and that’s going to get you … more likes and comments,” Parker said.

Hard not to take Parker at his word here, because if we’ve learned anything over the last couple of years, its that we absolutely should not be trusting Mark Zuckerberg.

Fantasy Football Scout 2017: Ryan Grant

As the first week of the fantasy football postseason gets underway, it becomes essential for those lucky enough to be in playoffs to find even the smallest edge to move on to the next round. While it may seem somewhat futile to consult the waiver wire at this point, there are still a plethora of underrated players that have only recently emerged as viable fantasy assets. With untimely injuries occurring at the worst possible moments, it is essential to at least have a working knowledge of every NFL teams depth to discover a hidden gem that could be decisive in helping you achieve a coveted victory.

Team: Washington Redskins
Position: Wide Receiver
Percent Owned By Fantasy Teams: (Yahoo Fantasy): 3%
Fantasy Points Total Thru Week 13 (Half PPR): Projected: 48.67  Actual: 65.70

With wide receiver Terrelle Pryor out for the remainder of the season, wideout Ryan Grant has stepped into a much more prominent role as a trusted offensive weapon for the Redskins. Although he may not be the most prolific receiver in the NFL, he is actually one of the most reliable receivers in the league (72% catch rate, 8th amongst receivers). Better still, Grant is at his best in the red zone (seven red zone receptions, 7th amongst receivers), which elevates his fantasy value when it comes to his targets in the end zone (four receiving touchdowns).

While it’s clear that Grant has the abilities to be a potent touchdown scorer, it’s his presence on the field for the majority of the Redskins pass plays (on the field for 37 pass plays per game, 14th amongst receivers) that provides him with the coveted opportunities to produce consistently. Despite averaging just 4.2 targets per game, Grant saw a recent uptick in his looks as he was targeted nine times in the Redskins most recent loss to the Dallas Cowboys. While this type of target volume will not be consistent with Grant, it does display the trust Kirk Cousins has in his young wideout to make big plays when he is called upon.

When all is said and done, Ryan Grant is a flashy albeit fairly inconsistent wideout that has a strong presence in the red zone when he is on the field. Although Grant has struggled mightily against strong defenses, his value increases exponentially when is matched up against poor secondaries, allowing him to be occasionally slotted into a flex position on a fantasy roster that is in need of an asset that can exceed their projected point total on one play.

Demons Don’t Discriminate: Kendall Jenner Suffers From Sleep Paralysis

We bring you this article today on a predictably slow December Friday, partly because there is not much going on in the world today, and partly because I have a couple of friends who suffer from sleep paralysis and I want to send them this article. Sup boys?

Anyway, as far as my boys tell me, sleep paralysis is no joke. Every single one of them has told of a similar experience, and each experience sounds like the worst thing you can imagine.

Unable to move but being fully conscious, door’s opening, a “presence” near you — of the three friends that I know who have suffered from sleep paralysis, all of them reach the same conclusion: demons.

Yes, this is the part where your eyes rolls (mine did too), but then I did a little research and discovered this doc on Netflix called The Nightmare. And guess what?

Yup, sounds pretty similar to the terrible tales as told by my friends. So at this point, it’s essentially fact that sleep paralysis is caused by demons.

And that’s the thing about demons, they don’t discriminate. They don’t care if you’re rich or poor, white or black, skinny or fat — they’re gonna haunt your f*cking dreams regardless.

Handout

William Atchison, 21, has been identified as the shooter in the Aztec High School shooting that left two students dead. San Juan County Sheriff’s Office identified the victims as Casey Jordan-Marquez and Francisco “Paco” Fernandez.

According to reports, William Atchison entered the Aztec High School around 9 AM local time, causing the school to be placed on lockdown. Atchison is believed to have taken his own life after shooting and killing the two Aztec students.

San Juan County Sheriff Ken Christesen said the shooting was planned out Atchison, who disguised himself as a student to get into the school. Atchison had attended Aztec High School in the past but was not enrolled at the time of the deadly shooting.

Furthermore, Christesen said that “It’s important to understand how focused he was, how deranged he was, in his intent.”

According to authorities, Atchison lived with his parents in Aztec and had worked at a gas station. Police found paper with notes was found in his garbage that had, “Work, packup, prep, walk, die” listed on it. Atchison also had a thumb drive on his person with electronic notes that officials say offer more evidence the attack was planned. In his message, Atchison wrote that “work, school and life was bad and he wanted out.”

via KOB4:

FBI officials at the conference said Atchison isn’t a complete stranger to them, after having looked into some comments he made via an online gaming forum in early 2016. They closed their brief investigation of him after determining no crime had been committed, and no specific threats made.

The sheriff added law enforcement executed search warrants in Atchison’s house as well as his computer. In that search, he said, a paper with scratch notes was found in his wastebasket that had, “Work, packup, prep, walk, die” listed on it like a schedule. Atchison also had a thumb drive on his person with electronic notes that officials say offer more evidence the attack was planned.
