Tom Brady is in serious need of back-up as wide receiver Julian Edelman fell to an ACL tear. Edelman made 98 catches last season, which means Brady will have to work that much harder in his absence, but I believe Tommy Boy can do it!

Cam Newton is an elite quarterback for the Carolina Panther. However, he barely made the top 5 since he has just recently recovered from a torn rotator cuff. But what doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger. He may come out even better than before. He’s definitely good enough to make the top 5, which is saying a lot. And I didn’t pick Cam, the computer did…

The quarterback of the New Orleans Saints Drew Brees is another phenomenal quarterback who made the top 5 list. He has thrown 30+ touchdowns these past 9 season. However, he’ll be missing his top wide receiver Brandin Cooks, which will likely pose a challenge for Mr. Brees.

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers tops the list. An advanced computer model, which ranked the top quarterbacks, gave Rodgers a value of 100 (the highest possible score). Tom Brady comes in at second place with a 13-point drop-off (value of 87).

Alright. Alright. Enough jibber-jabber. Let’s get to the Fantasy Football’s top 25 quarterback rankings for Week 1 of the season. The first five are chosen by an advanced computer model from SportsLine, while the finale five have been selected by the time-tested structure of the human mind.

American Horror Story returns for its seventh season tonight with Cult. 

Set during the 2016 election, not much is known about the exact plot of American Horror Story: Cult, but creator Ryan Murphy has said that the show uses the election as “a jumping off point” to examine the “cult of personality.” Furthermore, Murphy said that AHS: Cult , which stars Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters, will be more grounded than previous seasons.

Evan Peters plays Kai, the leader of the eponymous cult in what Murphy calls the “best performance” of Peters’ career. In addition to Kai, Peters will portray various cult leaders, including Charles Manson, Jim Jones, David Koresh, and Andy Warhol.

As for Paulson, she is playing Aly, a married mother who is shaken by the election of Donald Trump.

American Horror Story: Cult is the seventh season of the FX horror anthology television series American Horror Story. The season was picked up on October 4, 2016, and is scheduled to premiere on September 5, 2017. Returning cast members from previous seasons include Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Adina Porter, Cheyenne Jackson, Frances Conroy, Mare Winningham, Emma Roberts and Chaz Bono. Joining them are new cast members Billie Lourd, Billy Eichner, Leslie Grossman, Colton Haynes, Alison Pill and Lena Dunham.

Carmella vs. Natalya w/special guest referee Kevin Owens? Nope. Shane O’Mac Needs To Speak With KO First

James Ellsworth introduces Carmella to the crowd, but then out comes Kevin Owens. KO says that he’s going to be special guest referee of this match. Out comes SmackDown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon.

Looks like Kevin Owens won’t be a referee for this match

McMahon tells KO that he needs to stop blaming him for his loss. It’s Owens fault, not Shane’s. It’s not Shane’s fault that Owens lost at SummerSlam or last week. KO disagrees because, last week, Shane pulled special guest referee Baron Corbin out of the ring before he counted the pinfall. KO says he wishes he still was on Monday Night Raw.

Shane says that in SmackDown, we don’t hand people titles like on Raw when Triple H gave KO the Universal Championship. Over on SmackDown Live, you earn your titles. KO fires back and dissects Shane, asking if the reason why he’s so involved is because he father didn’t pay enough attention to him. KO says that Shane jumped off the Hell In A Cell and got in a helicopter crash to impress his dad. KO mentions how Shane had his kids dance with him during his entrance at WreslteMania 32. Shane warns KO not to talk about his kids ever again.

KO says maybe his family would have been better off if Shane died during that helicopter crash. He says his dad and wife would be better off with him dead. And especially his kids…

Shane O’Mac pounces on KO like a wild animal. Shane is wailing away on Owens with a flurry of fists. McMahon beats Owens up. He knocks KO down by the announcer’s table and repeatedly hits him in the head with a series of closed fist shots.

Carmella vs. Natalya

“Ms. Money In The Bank” Carmella attempts a headscissors. But Natalya quickly turns the tide with a wicked clothesline. Nattie knocks Carmella out of the ring. Carmella wants time out, but Nattie is too vicious, smacking her opponent’s head on the ring apron. Natalya brings the fight back to the ring and hits a snap-fisherman suplex.

Nattie keeps control in the ring, trapping Carmella in a suffocating headlock. Carmella fights out and had Nattie rubbing her head in pain. “Ms. Money In The Bank” beats the champion into the corner and then charges, hitting Nattie with a Bronco Buster. Carmella is keeping control, strangling Natalya on the blue ropes.

Carmella poses for the crowd and then pounces on Nattie with a flurry of fists. Ms. Money In The Bank traps Nattie, wrapping her legs around the champion’s waist like a vice. Nattie turns around the hold and starts punching Carmella.

Ms. Money In The Bank reapplies the hold, but Nattie fights up and slams her smaller opponent. Nattie attempts to lock in the Sharp Shooter, but catapults Carmella into the corner instead. Carmella fires with a superkick and goes for the cover. 1…2…kick out!

James Ellsworth is about to hand over Carmella’s Money In The Bank briefcase. But Carmella says “No, what are you doing? Are you kidding me?”

Carmella is too distracted with yelling at Ellsworth, that she doesn’t see Nattie come up from behind. Natalya rolls up Carmella for the win.

Post-Match: Carmella talks some serious sh*t to James Ellsworth. She calls him “a charity case, whose mother should have given him away at birth.” Carmella informs James that “we’re through!”

Dolph Ziggler comes out and mocks the crowd, saying they only care about gimmicks. He comes out as John Cena, “Macho Man” Randy Savage, and even former SmackDown Women’s Champion Naomi. Dolph says that anyone can play a gimmick, but only “The Showoff” can get it done inside the squared circle.

Sami Zayn vs. Aiden English

Aiden English starts off this segment in song with is interrupted by the music of Sami Zayn. Zayn controls the opening moments of this match, but crashes and burns after a high-risk moves fails. English capitalizes and rolls up Zayn for the quick win.

SmackDown Live GM Daniel Bryan brings up all the times he had to restrain himself from attacking The Miz during their Talking Smack segments. Bryan just wanted to head butt Miz and shut him up. But he didn’t because he cares about this business and puts WWE and its employees first. But Shane didn’t do that when attacked Kevin Owens earlier.

Shane tries to explain that when you talk crap about his family that sets him off and he goes into an uncontrollable rage. Bryan informs the commissioner that he received a call earlier from WWE Chairman Vincent Kennedy McMahon, informing him that Shane is suspended from his role as commissioner effective immediately.

Baron Corbin vs. Tye Dillinger

Baron Corbin rolls out of the ring and Tye Dillinger chases after him. Dillinger takes control and rams Baron right into the barricade. Tye is in solid control until Corbin turns around the momentum into a wicked back-breaker. Corbin hits Dillinger hard in the back and then strangles him on the top rope. Corbin smacks Dillinger in the back of the head hard as he crumbles down to the ring. Corbin keeps control and whips him aggressively into the opposite turnbuckle. Tye crashes into the corner and then down to the mat.

Corbin is hitting Tye with stiff shots. Tye tries to turn things around, but gets dropped by “The Lone Wolf” once more. Corbin traps Tye into a submission hold. Tye tries to counter, but eats a big clothesline.

Dillinger reverses the momentum as Corbin is too distracted by AJ Styles at ringside. Tye is in control and attempts to put away Corbin with a Tye Breaker. Corbin slips out and beats the crap out of Dillinger. But Corbin is too distracted by Styles and gets rolled up for a 2 count. Tye attacks Baron in the corner with a flurry of fists. Dillinger hits Corbin 10 times, but The Lone Wolf fires back while the referee is trying to break them up. Corbin essentially hit a cheap shot.

Both men tangle to start off the match. Randy Orton attempts an RKO, but Shinsuke Nakamura ducks out and regroups outside the ring. Orton stands tall in the ring as we go to commercial break.

We’re back from the break and “The Viper” Randy Orton is solidly in control of Shinsuke Nakamura. The Viper drops Nakamura over the top rope and goes for the cover. 1..2..Nakamura kicks out!

Shinsuke Nakamura comes in with a hard elbow. The fight spills outside the ring. Orton and Nakamura brawl. The Viper turns the tide and drops Nakamura back-first on the announcer’s table. Orton sends Nakamura back into the ring and goes for the pin. 1…2…kick out!

Nakamura regroups and nails Orton in the gut with a knee. Nakamura is dropping Orton left and right. Nakamura is taking out Orton with a big boot and high knee to the gut on the turnbuckle. Nakamura goes for the cover, but Orton kicks out at 2.

Randy Orton tries to turn the tide, but gets kicked in the head for his troubles. Orton finally fires back with a superplex. Nakamura and Orton collide and “The Artist” assaults The Viper with a flurry of knee shots. But Orton counters with a big-time power-slam for another 2 count on Nakamura.

Fans are really digging this match, as they chant “This is awesome!” Randy Orton nails a second-rope dragging DDT on Shinsuke Nakamura. Orton tries to put away The Artist with an RKO, but he slips through and locks The Viper in an arm-bar. Orton regains ground and drops Nakamura. He goes for another RKO, but gets hit an a Kinshasa from Shinsuke.

Kevin Owens taunts SmackDown Live GM Daniel Bryan

Bryan responds by informing KO that WWE Chairman Vince McMahon will be at SmackDown next week. KO is now speechless.

A loose tiger that was spotted on the northbound side of I-75 on Wednesday morning is no longer a threat after being shot several times by police officers in a nearby neighborhood.

A police officer with the Henry County Police Department reported seeing the loose tiger on the highway near Jodeco Road and police received several 911 calls about the animal early Wednesday morning.

According to reports, the tiger was shot after it was seen jumping a fence of a resident in the area around 6 AM. The officers made the decision to shoot the animal because they weren’t equipped with tranquilizer guns and did not want to risk waiting. Furthermore, officers did not want any children to be in danger as they waited at the bus stop.

Several Facebook friends commented on our posts, saying they saw the animal at some point. A worker at a Hardees location nearby says a man who was in the parking lot told her that the tiger was on the loose when she arrived for work just before 4 a.m.

CBS46 Facebook friend Connie Kidd says she reported the animal to police around 4:40 a.m. Kidd says the animal was walking through her front yard.

A woman who lives in the area says the tiger pounced on her dog before it was killed. The woman says her dog is okay but is obviously shaken.

While it is still unclear where the tiger came from, the nearby Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary in Locust Grove said all of their tigers are accounted for. They released a statement on the situation:

“Noah’s Ark was contacted by Henry County Police with reports of a loose tiger on I-75. We responded immediately and were on the way to the scene with hopes of chemically immobilizing the tiger and bringing it to Noah’s Ark. Unfortunately, human life became at risk and the tiger was shot by the authorities. All of our tigers are accounted for. Thank you to the officers for trying their best to bring this animal to safety.”

Ohio-based photographer Andy Grimm said he does not feel anger toward the Clark County Sheriff’s Deputy Jake Shaw, the officer who shot him Monday evening while he was setting up his camera equipment.

Deputy Jake Shaw was placed on administrative leave Tuesday. The sheriff’s office said Shaw will attend a “critical incident debriefing” after the shooting in New Carlisle, Ohio

“He shot somebody, an unarmed civilian. Realistically there’s going to be consequences. There’s so much animosity toward police officers. He was just doing his job. I think he made a bad decision,” Grimm said.

According to Grimm, who spoke to Fox 45, he got out of his Jeep to take photos of a traffic stop and started setting up a tripod and camera when he was shot in the side.

“My camera was already on the tripod,” Grimm said, “and I grabbed it like this and turned and I just hear pop, pop. I did not hear a single warning, did not hear the deputy identify himself. I said, ‘What the [bleep] Jake Shaw, you shot me dude’.”

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office will release body-camera footage, radio traffic and other documents related to Monday’s officer-involved shooting.

Furthermore, the Ohio Attorney General’s office said an investigation into the shooting has been turned over to the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, a division of the Attorney General’s office.

As fo Grimm, he said he knows Deputy Shaw well and does not what him to lose his job over the shooting.

Craig Carton, co-host of WFAN’s Boomer & Carton, has been arrested in $2 million ticket fraud scheme.

On Wednesday, September 6, the 48-year-old Carton was arrested at his Manhattan home by FBI. According to NBC New York, Carton and another unidentified man are accused of running a bogus discount ticket broker business, ripping off investors for millions of dollars.

A spokesman with the U.S. Attorney’s Office confirmed that Carton had been arrested and charged with securities fraud and wire fraud.

Carton, a married father-of-four, has co-hosted the popular sports talk show with former NFL quarterback Boomer Esiason since September 2007.

On February 28, 1997, Carton reported Philadelphia Flyers captain Eric Lindros had missed a game against the Pittsburgh Penguins on February 15 due to being hung over, claiming the excuse the Flyers gave for Lindros missing the game was a cover-up. The Flyers immediately sued WIP, resulting in an out of court settlement.

In late 2000, Carton became Scott Kaplan’s replacement on WNEW-FM’s “Sports Guys” morning radio program in New York City. He was a “Sports Guy” for one year. He worked with Sid Rosenberg and Blain Ensley and then just Ensley when Rosenberg left. Carton took the show in a new direction, adding stunts as an on-the-air cockfight and “Pastapalooza”. Carton was also broadcasting live with Ensley on WNEW during the 9/11 attacks in 2001.

2007-Present

In 2007 he was confronted by a Polish Holocaust survivor Paweł Zenon Woś, for propagating anti-Polish stereotypes.

On January 18, 2008, Carton walked the Brooklyn Bridge holding a sign reading “Any Given Sunday” and wearing only a Speedo and New York Giants tight end Jeremy Shockey jersey after betting the New York Giants would lose to the Dallas Cowboys in the 2008 NFL playoffs.

In 2012, he was the host of SPIKE’s MMA Uncensored Live.

On June 4, 2013 his first book, Loudmouth: Tales (and Fantasies) of Sports, Sex, and Salvation from Behind the Microphone, was released.

On June 6, 2013, Carton launched the Tic Toc Stop Foundation, aimed at wiping out Tourette syndrome.

On September 6, 2017, Carton was arrested by the FBI for fraud.

On the heels of President Trump’s controversial decision to end DACA, associations across the nation are coming out to denounce the President’s actions and defend those protected under the DACA.

As a result of the President’s decision, the Department of Homeland Security will stop processing any new applications for the program as of Tuesday and rescinded the Obama administration policy.

One of those institutions to denounce the President’s decision was Ohio State University, who released a full statement regarding the DACA and how those protected by it can receive further assistance at this time.

On Tuesday, September 5th, The White House ended the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, which will impact many Ohio State Buckeyes.

The Undergraduate Student Government at The Ohio State University opposes the discontinuation of the DACA program. Buckeyes who are protected by DACA have worked incredibly hard to attend Ohio State, and make our university stronger. These students deserve to continue working towards their dreams. As one Buckeye family, we are all connected by our love for Ohio State, and we will support all students, regardless of their immigration status.

According to CNN, since its inception five years ago, the nearly 800,000 individuals who have received the protection have started families, pursued careers and studied in schools and universities across the United States.

Lufkin Police

Lufkin Police have released video of Toscha Fay Sponsler, the Texas woman who escaped her handcuffs and hijacked a cop car.

The video released by the Lufkin Police Department shows Sponsler, 33, being handcuffed on the ground and then put in the back of a police car while officers examine evidence at the scene. While police were distracted, Sponsler escaped her handcuffs, hopped over the divider, and drove off with the squad car.

She then led police on a 23-minute chase during which she hit speeds of up to 100mph.

The video begins as officers initially placed handcuffs on Sponsler near the South First Street and Loop 287 intersection after she allegedly fled from officers responding to a shoplifter report at Ulta. After officers took Sponsler back to Ulta, she can be seen in the video slipping one of her hands out of the handcuff and climbing through the partition into the front seat before driving off with the patrol vehicle, nearly striking officers as she pulled away.

“Sponsler led units down Loop 287 to 69 south, nearly colliding head-on with two Lufkin officers, Constable Chad Wilson and numerous motorists,” Lufkin Police Department Media Specialist Pebsworth stated in a Saturday press release. “Officers saw her continually reaching for/fumbling with the officer’s shotgun, which is mechanically locked inside the vehicle.”

The pursuit began on Loop 287 at Tulane Drive, then continued on Whitehouse, FM 58, Bartmess, Holly, Old Orchard, Fuller Springs, Tower Lane, Denman Avenue, back to Loop 287, Ford Chapel Road, FM 841 and then to U.S. Highway 69 south. The Angelina County Sheriff’s Office, Wilson, the Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Parks and Wildlife and Zavalla Police Department joined the pursuit, with DPS taking the lead.

Sponsler was charged with escape causing serious bodily injury/threat with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault against a public servant, evading arrest with a vehicle with a previous conviction, unauthorized use of a vehicle and possession of a controlled substance, according to county records.

She was being held at Angelina County Jail on a bond of $18,000.

On January 30, 2006, Jackson was honored with a hand and footprint ceremony at Grauman’s Chinese Theater; he is the seventh African American and 191st actor to be recognized in this manner. Jackson’s second film of the year, Snakes on a Plane, gained cult film status months before it was released based on its title and cast. Jackson’s decision to star in the film was solely based on the title.

On January 30, 2007, Jackson was featured as narrator in Bob Saget’s direct-to-DVD Farce of the Penguins. The film was a spoof of the box office success March of the Penguins (which was narrated by Morgan Freeman). Also in 2007, he portrayed a blues player who imprisons a young woman (Christina Ricci) addicted to sex in Black Snake Moan, and the horror film 1408, an adaptation of the Stephen King short story.

2011-Present

Throughout Jackson’s career, he has appeared in many films alongside mainstream rappers. These include Tupac Shakur (Juice), Queen Latifah (Juice/Sphere/Jungle Fever), Method Man (One Eight Seven), LL Cool J (Deep Blue Sea/S.W.A.T.), Busta Rhymes (Shaft), Eve (xXx), Ice Cube (xXx: State of the Union), Xzibit (xXx: State of the Union), David Banner (Black Snake Moan), and 50 Cent (Home of the Brave). Additionally, Jackson has appeared in four films with actor Bruce Willis (National Lampoon’s Loaded Weapon 1, Pulp Fiction, Die Hard with a Vengeance, and Unbreakable).

In February 2009, Jackson signed on to a nine-picture deal with Marvel which would see him appear as the character in Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America: The First Avenger, and The Avengers as well as any other sequels they would produce. He reprised the role in Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) and Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015). Jackson said in an interview on February 11, 2015, that he only has two movies left on his Marvel contract following Ultron.

Jackson is set to produce a live-action film adaptation of Afro Samurai, and is assuming the role of Sho’nuff in a remake of The Last Dragon. He will also star in the Brie Larson film Unicorn Store.

Ms. Carter took to her Twitter page to update fans about her father’s medical condition. “My dad is doing fine everyone ! Thanks for the concerns. You guys are amazing,” the 18-year-old wrote on Twitter. “Oh yeah .. & don’t believe everything you hear.”

Reginae Carter is young, beautiful and definitely has a bright future one way or another. She has movie star good looks with endless connections in the music industry. Achieving fame and fortune will probably come off as second-nature for Ms. Carter.

The New England Patriots are back to run train on the rest of the NFL and we’ve got the memes to celebrate (?).

While the Patriots are as stacked as they’ve ever been, Tom Brady is entering his age 40 season, and only one quarterback has ever won a playoff game at 40-years-old, and that was Brett Favre back in 2010 with the Vikings.

Not being satisfied with completing the greatest Super Bowl comeback of all-time, the Patriots won the offseason as well, adding a boatload of talent across the board (perhaps suggesting they believe this will be Brady’s last season). On offense, the Pats added tight end Dwayne Allen from the Colts, lightning quick receiver Brandin Cooks from the New Orleans Saints, Rex Burkhead, and Mike Gillislee.

On defense, the Evil Empire of New England snatched up cornerback Stephon Gilmore in free agency, snagged David Harris after the Jets cut him, and resigned their own corner, Malcom Butler.

While this may be Tom Brady’s last season, the Patriots currently possess both the talent and assets to continue to dominate for years to come.

All that said, no matter who you root for (other than the Patriots fans, obviously) I think we can all agree that the Patriots have had just about enough success at this point so it would be really great of Brady if his play would nosedive off a cliff already, because enough is enough already.

Hurricane Irma may move northward over the Caribbean into the continental United States this weekend, and as a result, Irma may mow through South Florida. Rick Scott, the governor of Florida, declared a state of emergency and urged people in areas that may be hit by the hurricane to leave ahead of Irma for your own safety.

The Florida Keys is under mandatory evacuation orders beginning on Wednesday.

A second suspect has been arrested in the July double homicide of a husband and wife in northeast Richmond, Washington. Marquez Johnson, 32 was arrested on Tuesday and charged with two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder, Sheriff Leon Lott said in a release Wednesday.

At around 9:45 P.M. on July 27, 2017, 40-year-old Aaron Collins and his wife, 46-year-old Sydni Collins were both shot and killed. The couple was gunned down on the 7700 block of Parklane Road and Claudia Drive. Johnson is the second person charged in their deaths.

Last month, Berkley deputies arrested Ricardo Laroy Middleton, 43, of Moncks Corner. Middleton was the first man charged in the killings.

Three victims were shot, and two died (Aaron and Sydni Collins). All three were riding motorcycles and were stopped at an intersection when the gunshots rang out and bullets flew through the air. Two were shot and killed while the other was injured.

Fulton County Sheriff’s Office

Charles Kraver and his son, Charles Kraver Jr., both from Alabama, are being charged with battery after a fight in the stands during the Alabama-Florida State game last weekend in Atlanta.

According to reports, both Kraver and his son got into an argument about the game which then became violent when one fan claimed someone grabbed her by the back and slammed her head to the ground. The unidentified woman had to be taken to the hospital because of her injuries.

The fight, which began in the stands, eventually spills over to the concourse. Video from the fight shows a woman being slammed to the ground in the concourse.

The incident report from Atlanta police said an argument about the game became violent when one fan said another fan grabbed her by the back and slammed her head to the ground.

A stadium security guard can be seen in the video trying to escort one of the suspects out, but the suspect continues to throw several punches.

The woman was taken from the stadium by ambulance for treatment of her injuries. The father and son are facing multiple battery charges. Stadium officials and police have not said if there will be any changes to their security procedures because of the incident.
