Hats off to this guy. A lot of people drunk drive, get away with it and then do it again the next weekend. It’s an epidemic. But this guy. No, Sean McCullough is a drunken man of honor. Similar to NCAA schools who break the rules, McCullough opted to go with the self-inflicted punishment route instead and drove himself directly to the police station.

And it’s not like our boy McCullough here was just tipsy after having a few — he was HAMMERED, telling police he consumed “12 to 14 beers.”

“The officer says, ‘Do you understand you’re in the parking lot of a police station?’ and McCullough says, ‘Yeah, I wanted to be in a safe place,’” Chitwood recalled.

Why McCullough thought driving to the police station instead of just staying where he was is beyond me, but I’ve never been as honest a man as McCullough was in this moment, so who am I to judge.

Shortly before 4 a.m. on Wednesday, McCullough, 44, of Havertown, was driving through Upper Darby when he approached the township police station on West Chester Pike and decided to pull into the parking lot designated for police officers, Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood said.

An Upper Darby officer watched on surveillance cameras as McCullough drove around the entrance gates to the lot, into the exit lane, onto the grass, and then over a sidewalk before he parked his 2008 Ford station wagon “right there with the police cars,” Chitwood said.

McCullough, predictably, has two prior DUI arrests from the 90’s – one in 1994 and one in 1996. McCullough is free on $10,000 bail. His first court date is scheduled for August 28.

Younger brothers and sisters oftentimes don’t get the credit they deserve. There’s plenty of widespread societal assumptions stating that they’re inherently less mature than their older siblings merely based upon age. Well, this is just plain wrong and a bit ageist if you ask me (actually very ageist). Welp, good thing we can rely on the wonders of science to cure these stereotypes and generalizations.

A new study compares driving behavior between older and younger siblings, and let’s just say that wisdom doesn’t always come with age.

Privilege Car Insurance surveyed 1,395 drivers and discovered that 89% of older siblings speed, while 35% have already been fined for their driving behavior. The study also shows a huge gap regarding accident rates when it comes to elder and younger siblings. For example, 22 percent of the oldest siblings surveyed had been involved in a minor accident during the past five years, with 15 percent of those accidents being serious. Meanwhile, the youngest siblings surveyed report experiencing much less accidents while behind the wheel. Only 13 percent of the younger siblings were involved in minor accidents, while a mere 4 percent had been experienced a serious collision.

Those young whipper-snappers are also less likely to hog the road when compared to their elder siblings.

Older siblings are apparently bad behind the wheel, according to Privilege Car Insurance. However, first born children specifically appear to be the absolute worst when it comes to using a phone or applying make-up in the driver’s seat. This study revealed that 30 percent of first born siblings have admitted to using their phone while driving, while 17 percent also admit to applying make-up while seated at the wheel.

But who’s really the safest on the road?

Good question. The safest millennial on the road isn’t the older or younger brother/sister. Nope, not by a long shot. The award for best driver on the road goes to the only child. On average, this driver is 36 percent less likely to hold up commuters on the middle or outside lane of a roadway. They are also the least likely to cut off other drivers.

Walmart fell into a bit of hot water when someone decided to place a “back-to-school- sign on top of a hunting rifle display. The sign reads, “Own the school year like a hero.”

Obviously, this foolish advertisement method created a trending PR mess on the internet.

Walmart does have the right to sell firearms. However, capitalizing off of the back-to-school shopping craze to sell guns is a bit…well, kinda f*cked up considering all the school shootings that’s taken place in recent years. I’m betting that when the average American hears the words “guns” and “school” in the same breath, the image of tragedy usually comes to mind.

The retail giant appeared to have seriously fudged up with this back-to-school gun promotion. Let’s just say that people on Twitter were looking for answers…

Of course, Walmart went full damage control after the internet started freaking out about their sign/product placement. “We hear you,” wrote the company on their Twitter page, along with a sad face. “This was horrible and we removed the sign as soon as we found out.”

The internet called out this mega-store, and they apologized…until they flip-flopped and completely denied anyone putting up the sign near the guns. The company Tweeted, “Just to clarify, the manager at the location reported to us confirmed that no such sign is near this display. Again, so sorry.”

The company originally Tweeted on Wednesday that the photo was taken in a Evansville, Indiana, Walmart location. However, company spokesman Charles Crowson now says that the tweet is incorrect. Walmart is now trying to determine where that photo was taken.

“There was some miscommunication between our social media team and the store,” said Crowson, explaining the errant tweet. “It was just a misunderstanding.”

Walmart has dispatched a team to investigate the origins of the “back-to-school” gun photo. They’re considering “every possible scenario,” including the idea that the photos were doctored or a simple prank.

However, Crowson confirms that “Own the school year like a hero” is part of the company’s “back-to-school” advertising campaign.

“What’s seen in this photograph would never be acceptable in our stores,” said Croswon to reporters at The Washington Post.

Gail Kim is one fine 40-year-old wrestler who has led a legendary career in the ring. She a former WWE Women’s Champion, as well as a former 6-time TNA Knocksout Champion. In 2016, Kim was inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame after eight amazing years with the company.

Kim was first introduced to a global audience back in the summer of 2003. On her very first night on WWE Monday Night Raw, Kim won the WWE Women’s Championship in a seven-women over-the-top-rope battle royal.

Unfortunately, her first night in the WWE would also prove to be the most successful. This Canadian-born athlete faded to the background for much of her stay with the pro wrestling giant. Kim set her focus down south to a promising new promotion formerly-known as Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA).

While employed by the Nashville based wrestling promotion, Kim paved a phenomenal career for herself. And despite the flagrancy of this woman’s robbery, she actually got away, as Fayetteville Police need help identifying her.

The robbery happened Monday, August 7, at a Sprint Store located at 7830 Good Middling Drive in Fayetteville, North Carolina (shout out J. Cole)

Police say the unidentified woman walked into the Sprint store carrying a large military-style long gun. She then demanded cell phones from the store clerk.

According to ABC:, she then fled in a dark blue Mazda.

Furthermore, the suspect had dark hair and was wearing a green tank top with black horizontal stripes, black pants, and black sneakers with a tattoo on her right shoulder blade.

Additionally, anyone with information on the suspect is asked to contact me, as I’m vaguely turned on by this Sara Connors-esque woman and would like to take her out for a drink or two. I bet she’s a Jack & Coke type of girl. I like that.

Fantasy fanatics, the time for doing your due diligence to scope out the upcoming fantasy prospects has finally arrived! While everyone will be arguing over who the overall best fantasy talents are, the cerebral fantasy football aficionado will always keep one eye on the underrated athletes throughout the season. Speaking of which, rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson could be a compelling fantasy asset assuming he can continue to display the confident poise that he did in his first professional appearance.

After Tom Savage took the field initially, Watson received ample playing time during the second and third quarters against the Carolina Panthers in the Houston Texans first preseason game. While Watson has to work on his down the field accuracy, his pocket presence and comfort within the Texans offense were exceptional. Working out of the bootleg, Watson was patient at keeping his eye downfield while making his reads, never once attempting to the thread the needle by throwing into double coverage. Even in play action situations, Watson proved to be very scrappy at extending plays thanks to his athleticism and was able to garner a rushing touchdown in the third quarter as a result.

However, what was even more impressive than his flashy footwork was his discipline with the football. After making every effort to extend a play, Watson was content to throw the ball away rather than force an ill-advised pass, an attribute that former starter Brock Osweiler sorely lacked. Although it may be too early to proclaim Watson as the week one starter now, his dynamic abilities as the Texans’ signal caller could earn him the starting role sooner rather than later.

With all of that being said, the question becomes is the Clemson great worth a late round pick in your fantasy lineup? The short answer is no….for now. If Watson can maintain his composure and can continue to work on his efficiency when leading long drives down the field, it seems likely that Watson could get the nod within the first four weeks of the season. As capable as Savage is at keeping the football secure, he lacks the big play potential that the Texans need to take the next step at winning the AFC South and ultimately competing for a Super Bowl. As of now, Watson is player worth keeping a close eye on at the start of the season as he could be a favorite waiver wire pick up sooner rather than later.

Update: (8/10/17; 7:42 P.M. EST): The suspect is believed to have shot himself in the head. A robot will be sent into the residence for precautionary measures.

At about 5:00 P.M. (EST) Thursday, an officer was shot near the intersection of Chestnut and Fulton streets in Cypress Hills.

An alleged altercation between the officer and the suspect led to the shooting. He was struck in his bullet-proof vest, which ricocheted, hitting the officer in the arm. The officer has been sent to Jamaica hospital, while the suspect has barricaded himself inside an apartment building.

The officer who was shot remains in Jamaica hospital, where he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect fled from the scene and has allegedly barricaded himself in an apartment building on Ridgewood Avenue, near the intersection of Essex Street.

Authorities are taking extra precautionary measures because it is believed that the suspect was seen holding a small child near a window. The child is potentially an infant.

Police say that the suspect may be armed with an assault rifle.

This three-credit “Fat Studies” course offers a forum to discuss how modern day society is oppressing the overweight. The syllabus for the course invites student to observe and examine, “body weight, shape, and size as an area of human difference subject to privilege and discrimination that intersects with other systems of oppression based on gender, race, class, age, sexual orientation, and ability.”

Campus Reform reported that this course on “Fat Studies” will return in the fall for another semester. The class promises it will increase focus on effective activism tactics to ““counter weightism perpetuated throughout various societal institutions.”

Professor Patti Lou-Watkins teaches the class about “Fat Studies.” She says that discrimination against overweight persons is less of an individual preference and more of an encompassing oppressive social structure.

“My course now frames body image disturbances more as a function of oppressive societal structures than of individual pathology,” wrote Lou-Watkins in a 2012 academic journal. The professor is an experienced writer and researched of body image issues. She says that the “war on obesity” has far-reaching psychological effects on people who have a desire to lose weight.

Lou-Watkins even cast a shade of blame of physicians for “fat-shaming” their patients by applying “weight bias” to treat overweight patients. She wrote, “Weight bias is particularly evident among healthcare professionals, compromising the well-being of their patients.”

Professor Lou-Watkins has grown to “embrace” feminist pedagogy to better inform her students about discriminatory social practices against overweight persons.

“I grew to embrace feminist pedagogy in terms of course content as well as classroom practices,” she wrote. “My course now frames body image disturbances more as a function of oppressive societal structures than of individual pathology.”

Oh yeah, Professor Lou-Watkins isn’t teaching the only “Fat Studies” program offered at Oregon State University.  This college also offers a course entitled “Women, Weight, and Body Image,” which also dives into “weightism as a system of oppression that interacts with other forms of oppression.”

It appears as if more and more Americans have been developing alcoholic tendencies over the last decade. The Journal of the American Medical Association released two surveys, one from 2001-2002 and other from 2012-2013. JAMA surveyed approximately 79,000 participants, all were Americans aged 18 and older. The association uncovered a growing trend in America’s alcohol problem.

The study revealed that alcohol use-disorders (and alcoholism in general) had increased 49 percent from 2002 until 2013. The results of these national surveys demonstrated that alcoholism increased from a percentage of 8.5 to as high as 12.7 a decade later.

If these surveys truly reflect a broad trend of alcoholism within the general populace than roughly 1 out of 8 Americans are now suffering from alcoholism, according to analysis published in JAMA Psychiatry.

Alcohol use has also been sharply increasing across the board. According to JAMA’s study, the percentage of people who admitted using alcohol within the past 12 months increased by 11.2 points between 11 years of the survey. High-risking is also on the rise, as it has increased 30 percent.

What is defined as “high risk drinking”?

Apparently, the bar is incredibly low when you consider someone a “high risk drinker,” according to JAMA. If you’re a guy who consumes five drinks or more in one sitting than you are defined as a “high risk drinker.” On the other hand, women are placed in this category if they consume four or more drinks in one outing.

According to JAMA’s survey, 29.6 million Americans are putting their own health are risk for their boozing habits.

The groups who are seeing the greatest rise in alcoholism in American are women, old folks, and ethnic minorities.

Crystal Clowdus, a former high school maths teacher who spent six months in prison for sending naked pictures to a 15-year-old male student, is in jail again after it was found she was teaching at an elementary school.

Clowdus, 35, was arrested on Wednesday, August 9 in Blount County, Alabama after she was found to be volunteering at Oneonta Elementary School.

By being at the school, Clowdus violated the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act. A violation is considered a felony charge. After being arrested, Clowdus was booked into the Blount County jail and her bond set at $15,000.
In 2014, Clowdus told a boy at Susan Moore High School in Blountsville, Alabama that she wanted to have sex with him.

Clowdus received a 10-year sentence, but nine of those years will be suspended. She will serve six months in the Blount County Correctional Facility, followed by six months of house arrest, Casey said. She was expected to begin serving her jail time this afternoon.

Following her one year in detention, Clowdus will have a five-year probation period. She is also required to register as a lifetime sex offender and has to surrender her teaching license.

Clowdus, a wife and mother of a young son, was arrested Dec. 20, 2013, and turned herself in at the Blount County Correction Facility. She was jailed on a charge of transmitting obscene material to a child, and jailed with bond set at $100,000.

Clowdus has handed a 10-year suspended sentence, however, she only served six months in the Blount County jail, followed by six months of house arrest. After her house arrest concluded, Clowdus had to serve a five-year probation period, was required to register as a lifetime sex offender and surrender her teaching license.

Carrie Witt, a 44-year-old Alabama high school teacher who accused of having sex with two students, has had her charges dropped after a judge ruled it as unconstitutional.

Witt, 44, had been charged in March 2016 with having sex with the students aged between 16 and 19 years old while teaching at Decatur High School in Decatur, Alabama.

Morgan County Circuit Judge Glenn Thompson dismissed both charges without prejudice on constitutional grounds, saying that the court found the statute “unconstitutional.” Furthermore, Thompson said that there was no proof Witt used her position of authority to force the two students to have sex.

According to the judge, the state of Alabama allows students to legally have sex at age 16, as long as someone doesn’t use their position of authority to obtain consent.

The judge found that while there may be a gap in power between teacher and student, it “clearly does not exist between every school employee and every student regardless of where that student is enrolled.” The court held that prosecutors must prove a school employee “was actually in a position of authority over the victim/student and that the position of authority was abused to obtain consent.”

The court noted that the State has an abiding interest in protecting people from being preyed on by someone in authority over them, such as teachers, wardens, clergy members and psychologists. But, the court found, the law goes too far in denying any possibility of consent.

“The statute at hand embeds an irrebuttable presumption that any sexual encounter between an employee of any school and any student (without qualification as to class, school, or school system) is conclusively the result of misuse of authority,” the judge wrote.

Decatur High School is a public high school in Decatur, Alabama, United States. It is one of two high schools in the Decatur City School District. Decatur High offers technical, academic, and International Baccalaureate programs, as well as dual enrollment with the John C. Calhoun Community College System.

Decatur High, along with southwestern Decatur’s Austin High School, were the first International Baccalaureate schools in Alabama north of Birmingham, Alabama.

On Wednesday, Alexander Garces, a 22-year-old student at the University of Central Florida student, was charged after he allegedly of raped an unidentified person during a party at his fraternity house.

Garces, 22, was charged with sexual battery and false imprisonment after he allegedly attacked a guest at the Alpha Tau Omega ‘New Years in July’ party. The victim, whose gender and name have not been released, was allegedly approached by Garces during the July 22 party at the university’s Alpha Tau Omega fraternity house, where he asked them to come upstairs with him and another man.

While the name of the second suspect had yet to be identified at the time, a warrant was out his arrest.

That second student can now be identified as Antonio Candido.

When they entered the room, one of the men allegedly locked the door and began blasting music from a cellphone. Garces sat on the couch, forcefully pulled the victim’s legs toward him and started touching the person sexually, according to the report. He then grabbed the person’s hair, throwing him or her to the ground.

The victim performed oral sex on Garces, hoping it would stop the attack, police said. But Garces continued to be aggressive, according to WKMG.

“I’ve never seen you like this before, what’s going on?” The victim allegedly asked Garces. “I’ve been raped before, I’m not about to be in a situation like this…don’t do this to me.”

Garces eventually left the room, but the Candid then allegedly raped the victim.

Garces was arrested on Monday, August 7 at the fraternity house, while Candido, a former UCF student and brother at the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity, turned himself into on Wednesday.

Both have been charged with sexual assault and false imprisonment.

Alpha Tau Omega released an official statement on Tuesday, saying that they had suspended Garces and were looking into the matter:

“Officials with the Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity learned of the police investigation on Saturday, and the chapter immediately suspended the man. ATO is conducting an internal investigation and will assist local authorities and university officials as requested. The alleged assault reportedly occurred during a July 22nd party at the chapter house. The party was approved by UCF and held in accordance to strict university guidelines.”

In 2013, UCF suspended Garces’ ATO fraternity due to alcohol-related misconduct and accusations of them holding an unapproved house party and serving alcohol to minors.

Josh Mileto, an 11th-grade student at Sachem East High School in Farmingville, Long Island, was killed during football practice on Thursday, August 10.

Mileto, 16, was with another teammate carrying a log for a conditioning drill when they fell, causing the log to strike Mileto, causing massive brain damage and killing him. The accident happened at around 8:40 AM.

CPR was attempted on the field but Mileto could not be saved. He was then rushed to Stony Brook University Hospital where he would be pronounced dead.

As CBS2’s Carolyn Gusoff reported, teammates were gathered at the Farmingville Fire Department mourning a friend doing what thousands of kids do this time of year; routine off-season training.

The boys left Stony Brook Hospital after learning that doctors could not save their friend. Police said football practice was supervised by adults. Those who have been through it said the log exercise is used for team building and endurance. Students and neighbors are stunned.

“I can’t even believe it, I don’t think it’s real,” Mileto’s friend said. “He was my best friend, we grew up together. We’ve known each other since we were two. It’s really hard for me.”

Sachem East High School released a statement saying its crisis intervention team and support service are available. Similarly, all school activities are canceled until further notice.

When listening to the album, I first listened to “Bastards.” Even though the title seems vulgar, the tone and flow of the song made it pleasant to hear. The words and simple chords provide hope and peace. “Woman” is the embodiment of girl power and freedom. The colorful and upbeat groove definitely paints a picture of excitement and pride for being a woman in society. For “Rainbow,” the meaning of the song is deep and touching. I love how she incorporates the double voices as well as the impactful keyboard background to make a statement that the rainbow will provide solace for people scared of life. Check out the whole album, and you will definitely feel Kesha changed after all these years producing music. I know her music is more revolutionary, and it is used to speak a message of hope in a world full of faults and struggles.
