Police are clearing the Environmental Protection Agency headquarters in Washington D.C. .

Metropolitan Police responded to a “shots fired” call on Pennsylvania Ave near the Trump hotel at the Environmental Protetion Agency Headquarters. The EPA headquarters is on lockdown and no gunman has been confirmed.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the call came in at 4:52 PM.

According to a spokesperson for the EPA, the Federal Protective Service and DC Police responded to reported gunshots at EPA HQ. The building is now secure and there are no injuries.

At this time, there is no word on the suspect or their motives.

What is the EPA?

The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is an agency of the federal government of the United States which was created for the purpose of protecting human health and the environment by writing and enforcing regulations based on laws passed by Congress.[2] President Richard Nixon proposed the establishment of EPA and it began operation on December 2, 1970, after Nixon signed an executive order. The order establishing the EPA was ratified by committee hearings in the House and Senate. The agency is led by its Administrator, who is appointed by the President and approved by Congress. The current Administrator is Scott Pruitt. The EPA is not a Cabinet department, but the Administrator is normally given cabinet rank.

The EPA has its headquarters in Washington, D.C., regional offices for each of the agency’s ten regions, and 27 laboratories. The agency conducts environmental assessment, research, and education. It has the responsibility of maintaining and enforcing national standards under a variety of environmental laws, in consultation with state, tribal, and local governments. It delegates some permitting, monitoring, and enforcement responsibility to U.S. states and the federally recognized tribes. EPA enforcement powers include fines, sanctions, and other measures. The agency also works with industries and all levels of government in a wide variety of voluntary pollution prevention programs and energy conservation efforts.

In 2016, the agency had 15,376 full-time employees. More than half of EPA’s employees are engineers, scientists, and environmental protection specialists; other employees include legal, public affairs, financial, and information technologists. In 2017 the Trump administration proposed a 31% cut to the EPA’s budget to $5.7 billion from $8.1 billion and to eliminate a quarter of the agency jobs.

Where Is The EPA Headquarters located?

EPA’s main campus at Federal Triangle consists of a cluster of adjacent buildings includ g: William Jefferson Clinton North, South (formerly Ariel Rios North and South), East and West, and the Ronald Reagan Building. The main campus is located around the Woodrow Wilson Plaza between 12th and 14th Streets and Pennsylvania and Constitution Avenues NW. The White House, the Washington Monument, and the U.S. Capitol are within walking distance.

Last month, Vick showed up on FS1 to criticize Colin for keeping a big afro. Basically, if Kaep wants a job in the NFL, Vick thinks that fro needs to go. On the flip side, Vick believes a clean cut look will benefit the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback.

“First thing we’ve got to get Colin to do is cut his hair,” Vick said. “Listen, I’m not up here to try to be politically correct. Even if he puts cornrows in there. I don’t think he should represent himself in that way. Just the hairstyle. Just go clean-cut. You know, why not? You’re already dealing with a lot.”

Soon enough, Vick would learn the consequences of his words…at least after his wife laid down the law in the bedroom. Their was such a negative online backlash to Mike’s comments that his wife Kijafa Vick became a target of disdain. Kijafa didn’t want to tolerate any of that foolishness, so she made her demands very clear and simple: Either apologize for dissing Colin’s fro or you’re going to get none of this. Basically, no booty until he publicly apologizes.

Mr. Vick soon apologized to Kaepernick. Kijafa has that bargaining technique on lock.

And yeah…Michael Vick made the right choice…

In less than two weeks, a solar eclipse is scheduled to hit the mainland of the United States for the first time in almost four decades. But you might be wondering what exactly is a solar eclipse?

A solar eclipse is a period in which the moon passes between the Earth and the sun. This wandering moon partially or fully blocks out the sun as a result of its movement relative to the position of both the sun and the Earth. This phenomena only occurs during the period of a new moon, in which the sun and the moon are in conjunction as seen from Earth’s surface. This alignment is referred to as “syzygy,” which relates to a straight-line configuration involving at least three celestial bodies (sun, earth, moon).

The United States will experience a total eclipse on Monday, August 21, 2017. The eclipse will cast a 70 miles shadow on the upper-northwest portion of Oregon at 10:00 A.M. local time. The dark shadow will travel past Idaho and Wyoming. At 2:45 P.M. (EST), the eclipse will move out through South Carolina.

The eclipse will move very quickly. It will reportedly only stay in the same spot for a few minutes in a particular spot. However, if you have access to a jet, you can actually race the miles-long shadow to its destination into the Atlantic. NASA will fly their jet right into the eclipse, and plan on recording seven minutes of footage.

Over 12 million people live in the eclipse’s path, so if you want to follow the shadow with your car, be my guest. An estimated seven million are predicted to travel all the way out to see the eclipse for themselves. They’ll be coming to see the first total eclipse to hit the U.S. since 1979.

The moon is literally a tiny speck when compared to the magnitude of the sun. It is a supreme astronomical coincidence that the sun and moon are in such perfect alignment that the tiny moon perfectly blocks out the sun.

Certified UFC bad-ass Ronda Rousey might just be in a transitional period from cage fighter to professional wrestler. A recent report from FightFul.com reports that both WWE and Rousey are on the same page regarding her return to the company.

Rousey hasn’t appeared on WWE television since 2015. At WrestleMania 31, the prize fighter stepped into the squared circle for the first time. She shared the ring with WWE legends such as Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Paul “Triple H” Levesque, and Stephanie McMahon.

Fight.com revealed a major rumor stating that Rousey has already reached out to the WWE regarding a career in pro wrestling. She reportedly linked up with former Cruiserweight and Tag Team Champion Brian Kendrick, who will be showing her the ropes inside the squared circle. Triple H allegedly referred Rousey to Kendrick for basic in-ring training.

Ronda may be inching her way towards a role on either Raw or SmackDown…

Fightful.com was told Tuesday morning that Ronda Rousey has expressed interest in a pro wrestling run, and has went as far as to learn some of the basics from a WWE Superstar.

An employee backstage in WWE told us that Rousey spoke to Triple H to set up her appearance with fellow Four Horsewomen members at the Mae Young Classic. According to sources, WWE had referred Rousey and company to current superstar Brian Kendrick for training purposes in Southern California. You may remember that WWE had referred recently released Eva Marie to Kendrick as well.

There was also buzz backstage at the tournament — mainly among WWE employees and contractors — that Rousey’s training would start soon. She’s taken some basic bumps among other things thus far.

Rousey in the WWE sounds sick as f*ck. Imagine Ronda vs. Charlotte, Sasha, Bliss, the list just goes on and on for potential dream matches. Last week, WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross told TMZ Ronda Rousey wrestling in a WWE ring is “inevitable.”

Williams, 50, of Winston-Salem, North Carolina was arrested and charged with four counts of statutory sex offense and two counts of statutory rape after a 22-year-old former student reported her to the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office.

On July 19, the unidentified male told the sheriff’s office that Williams had a sexual relationship with him when he was 14 and 15 years old. Williams was the victim’s teacher at Ledford Middle School.

Investigators say that all of the sexual encounters took place off campus between June 2009 and July 2010.

She’s charged with two counts of statutory rape and four counts each of statutory sex offenses and taking incident liberties with a child. The victim was just 14 years old at the time. The sheriff’s office says the victim was a student at Ledford Middle School and Williams was a close family friend. Now, eight years later, he’s coming forward.

“It’s actually quite common. It’s not unusual at all for it not to be reported until years later,” said. Dr. Ed Dawson, a clinical psychologist.

North Carolina is one of the few states that doesn’t have a statute of limitations on sexual offenses. That means a victim can still report a crime no matter how long ago it happened.

“Some of what goes into not reporting it early on actually has to do with the embarrassment and humiliation of it, believing that no one’s going to believe them if they do tell,” Dawson said.

She was taken into custody and placed in the Davidson County Detention Center under a $50,000 secured bond.

Williams, who is out on bond, cannot contact the victim or his family. Furthermore, she cannot have contact with any children under a18 unless they’re supervised by their parents.

The Davidson County School District released a statement to Fox 8:

“We are certainly aware of the charges against Mrs. Williams. At this point in time we have limited information in regards to the allegations. We will continue to investigate the allegations and work with law enforcement as this matter develops. As more information becomes available to us, we will take the appropriate measures. As this involves a confidential personnel matter, we have no further information to share at this time.”

Williams is scheduled to be in Lexington District Court on Augusut 25.

La Porte Police Department

No judgments — look at the face of the woman above you and tell me if you think she’s fit to own a gun, let alone be driving a car, let alone be using both at the same time.

I introduce you to Amanda Downs (no pun intended — I think?), a 25-year-old Texan (Murica!) who got popped last week for driving around Texas’ State Highway 225 pointing her gun at multiple — yes, multiple — motorists.

After being given the MOMA-worth photo you see above you, the La Porte Police Department Criminal Investigations Division recognized the case was nearly identical to a previously reported case.

After searching the area for just two days, detective were eventually able to find Downs and her truck in an industrial estate.

Just after 7:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 2nd, 2017 the La Porte Police Department received information that a white female, driving a red Silverado pickup truck, pointed a gun at the victim in an apparent road rage incident. The victim captured an image of the driver holding what appears to be a handgun, while they were both traveling on State Highway 225. This was the second report of a road rage incident, identifying a similar time, location and description of the suspect and vehicle in the La Porte area. The previous episode was reported in the month of July 2017.

The LPPD Criminal Investigations Division recognized the case was nearly identical to a previously reported case and immediately went to work. Detectives canvassing the area were able to locate the suspect and her vehicle two days later parked in a nearby industrial park. The suspect was identified as 25-year-old Amanda Downs, of Baytown Texas. Downs confessed to both reported incidents, surrendering what turned out to be a large folding knife cast in the shape of a handgun. As a result of the investigation, the Harris County District Attorney’s Office accepted the charge of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

The La Porte Police Department wants to remind the motoring public that Road Rage can quickly escalate to the point where a person is seriously injured or killed. If you are a victim of Road Rage, call 911 and immediately begin driving toward the nearest police station or public place.

According to reports from insider sources, Florida has reached out to Texas in an effort to trade for what they consider to be an elite Floridian-level talent.

De La Haye’s videos are pretty popular, as his channelDeestroying currently has over 54 thousand subscribers. But unfortunately for De La Haye, the NCAA and UCF noticed.

De La Haye has advertisements that run on his videos, which does not make the NCAA nor UCF happy. They claim he’s using his likeness as a student athlete to make money, so they gave him an ultimatum: De La Haye can either stop collecting dough from his YouTube channel or quit playing college football.

After a couple of weeks of back and forth deliberation, the ruling came down today that UCF had decided to rule De La Haye ineligible.

It goes without saying that De La Haye didn’t take too kindly to his dismissal, and promptly responded with a fire NCAA diss track.

I want to say right off the bat that this theory is stupid and I do not buy into it for a second. People have been hyping up the introduction of Lady Stonehart ever since Catelyn Stark got her throat cut back in season 3, however, with just nine episodes left, there’s no shot the writers introduce such a major, game-changing character this late in the game.

But that said, Game Of Thrones is one of my favorite topics to write about, so f*ck it, right? Besides, it’s fun to imagine.

For the uninitiated (shout out Bane), Lady Stoneheart is essentially a zombie version of Catelyn Stark who creeps around raising hell for her enemies. From what my book-reading friends have told me, she’s an awesome character. So awesome, in fact, that creator George RR Martin said one of the show’s biggest mistakes was not including her:

“I think one of the biggest ones would probably be when they made the decision not to bring Catelyn Stark back as Lady Stoneheart,” Martin said. “That was probably the first major diversion of the show from the books and, you know, I argued against that, and [David Benioff and Dan Weiss] made that decision.”

However, despite the Double D’s seemingly unwillingness to add Lady Stoneheart to the show, it hasn’t kept fans from speculating none-the-less.

During this weekend’s episode when Arya and Brienne are fighting, fans claim that you can see a shadowy-like Lady Stoneheart-esque figure creeping in the background:

Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office

Christina Resek, a 30-year-old Ohio teachers aide in who worked for an alternative education school, was sentenced for having a sexual relationship with a student.

Resek, 30, of Boardman, Ohio was sentenced on Thursday to 30 days in jail and two years community control. Furthermore, she has to register as a tier 1 sex offender.

Resek was a teacher’s aide at P.A.C.E., a Youngtown, Ohio alternative education program located in the Mahoning County High School. The school reported to the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office that Resek had been accused of having a relationship with a student who is now 18.

Investigators said statements were taken from school staff and from Resek, who turned in a letter reportedly from a student who attempted to blackmail her, according to a police report. The letter, taken into evidence, attempted to extort $500 from Resek in exchange for keeping the alleged relationship between Resek and another student secret.

know what’s going on between you and [redacted]. So my question to you is how important is your job to you? I’m not asking for a lot, all I want is $500 and your secret’s safe with me,” the letter read.

A staff member at the district reported that a student told her that Resek had been sexually involved with the student since November. He turned 18 in February, but Ohio law makes it illegal for teachers to have sex with any student, even if they are older than 18.

Resek signed an agreement with the Ohio Department of Education consenting to the suspension of her educational aide permit.

She has also agreed to not reapply for a permit in the future.

Just when you think you’ve had your fill of political preposterousness for the week, Alex f*cking Jones comes from the clouds with what could be the funniest video of the year so far.

All week we’ve heard talks of Russia and golf courses and Tweeting and, uhhhhh, what’s that little Asian country called, with the batshit crazy dictator? North Korea! A lot of North Korea talk. But curiously enough, I haven’t seen any Alex Jones soundbites come across my newsfeed this week. And now I know why.

It appears as though Alex Jones has discovered fidget spinners and is now all in on the wondrous device. With the look of an Eastern Europen man rolling on ecstasy in a 90’s rave basement, Jones appears to be having the time of his god damn life.

Maybe every thing is going to be alright after all.

An unnamed 15-year-old high school football player has died after being injured during practice at Sachem East High School. Sachem East High School is located on Long Island, New York.

According to Assistant Commissioner Justin Meyers, the injury happened on the school’s athletic field on Granny Road in Farmingville around 8:30 AM.

The teen was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he would be pronounced dead.

The school has yet to release an official statement at this time. There is no word on the identity of the teen or the nature of the injury that caused his death.

According to NBC, while the nature of the injury wasn’t immediately clear, sources familiar with the investigation say the boy may have slipped and hit his head on a pole during a training exercise that involved team members carrying a metal pole on their shoulders.

Furthermore, NBC says equipment was scattered across the football field as if the practice had ended abruptly. The teen’s teammates had rushed to the hospital with him, sources say, and investigators are speaking to the players.

No other information is currently available.

If that’s not enough, he accuses NASA of the “fake” moon landings in order to hide its secret technology.

All these conspiracies and ideas seem bizarre, almost unreal. However, what can people believe these days? The power of the mind is unlimited and imaginative. Did you ever watch NBC’s hit sitcom Parks and Recreation? You should get on that because the awkward and funny show will definitely open you to the brilliant acting of Plaza!

Aubrey Plaza is an American comedian and actress. She is widely renowned for her role as April Ludgate on Parks and Recs. After appearing in supporting roles in several films, Plaza had her first leading role in the 2012 comedy Safety Not Guaranteed. Plaza currently stars as Lenny Busker in the FX series Legion.

A little bit about her childhood, Plaza was born in Wilmington, Delaware, to Bernadette, an attorney, and David Plaza, a financial advisor. She has two younger sisters, Renee and Natalie; the latter has inspired a number of Aubrey’s comedic characters. Plaza was named after the song “Aubrey” by Bread.

Although her role in television is illuminating, don’t forget her action pack acting in film.She starred in Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates alongside Zac Efron, Anna Kendrick and Adam DeVine. The film was released on July 8, 2016. Her role as the rebellious Tatiana earned her critical praise.

She was a guest star on HarmonQuest in 2016, an animated Pathfinder show that enlists a new star guest each episode and then usually kills off their guest in the end. She played a gnome named “Hawaiian Coffee” who helps the heroes escape from jails using magic, alchemy, and even bomb potions.

While I’m more of an NFL than a college ball guy, college football kicks off first, and is, therefore, all I care about right now. But with college football — and football in general — comes a whole bunch of over-analyzation and anonymous polls.

One of these polls, conducted by CBS Sports, asked 1/5 of the 130 FBS coaches a range of questions, including who they thought were the most overrated and underrated photos.

They asked for honest opinions on everything from NCAA rules to social issues to their peers in the profession. We will be sharing their candid thoughts over a two-week period leading into the season.

Coaches as a peer group are tight. They defend each other to the end of the world and rarely have anything bad to say about one another — particularly on the record. Elizabeth Olsen is an American actress, who starred in big-name films such as Silent House (2011), Liberal Arts (2012), Godzilla (2014), Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), and Captain America: Civil War (2016). For her role in Martha Marcy May Marlene (2011), she was nominated for the Independent Spirit Award for Best Female Lead, among other awards. She is the younger sister of actresses and fashion designers Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen.

Those who may not know much about Olsen’s background, here it is: Olsen was born in Sherman Oaks, California. She is the younger sister of twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who became famous as TV and film stars at an early age.

Olsen’s breakout role came in 2011, when she appeared in the film Martha Marcy May Marlene. The film, along with Olsen’s performance, received critical acclaim. Olsen was nominated for and won numerous critics awards for her portrayal of the titular character Martha, a girl suffering from delusions and paranoia after fleeing her life in a cult and returning to her family.

In January 2013, Olsen was nominated for the BAFTA Rising Star Award. In 2014, Olsen starred in Legendary’s reboot Godzilla, opposite Bryan Cranston and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Olsen joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe playing the character of Scarlet Witch in Avengers: Age of Ultron, the 2015 sequel to The Avengers. She first appeared as the character in a mid-credits scene of the film Captain America: The Winter Soldier, alongside her Godzilla co-star Taylor-Johnson, who portrayed her brother Quicksilver. She reprised her role in the 2016 film Captain America: Civil War. Olsen is scheduled to reprise her role again in Avengers: Infinity War and its sequel set for release in 2018 and 2019 respectively.
