Dustin Tindr Viral: Girl Tries To Shame Guy's Honest Profile

Twitter

It’s hard to be that honest. I mean you can’t really blame the girl for finding humor in this guy’s outlandishly true Tindr profile. However, I would never look down on the guy (unlike some people). I’d thank him for making me laugh. I mean, it’s not laugh your ass off material to me because I’m a desensitized little sh*t after all the hours clocking away in this job of news and entertainment. But to be honest, yes, this is the most honest person I’ve meet up to this point and his Tindr profile is pretty f**king hilarious.

His name is Dustin. He’s an All-American boy with a really big…truck. Just peep the pic, folk! He’s advertising himself for the ladies with all the honesty of a true southern gentleman. Instead of being Mr. Big Shot or Mr. I’ll Make Anything To Get Laid, good ol’ Dustin takes the honesty route. Now, why didn’t I think of that?

A Twitter user with the whacky name of “Jared Fogle’s bf” posted Dustin’s Tinder profile with the caption: “Some girl posted this to make fun of the guy, but I’d be down to crack a beer with dude, he seems chill.”

That tweet has currently received over 21 thousand likes and over 4 thousand retweets. It looks like Dustin is going to get all types of women/men sliding up in his DMs. Dustin won’t be alone for long.

Here’s what Dusty boy wrote about himself in his Tindr profile, “Well I’m a fat fuck with a big truck. If we can’t get a big greasy burger then we won’t work. I’m 21 years old but don’t let that fool you, I have no social life like I’m 40. If my truck doesn’t impress you my personality probably won’t either. Welcome to the shit show.”

Of course all the fly-honeys flocked to see this new viral Tindr sensation. Ladies love an honest man, right? Well, who gets more honest than this guy? It almost makes you think he’s lying. Imagine if he’s really totally suave like that Dos Equis guy. Not the type of shit show you’d expect from a dude on Tindr.

College Student’s Passion For Caddying Earned Him A Full Ride To Notre Dame

King Fok, a senior at Notre Dame, reminisces on his journey from caddying in high school to earning a full tuition and board scholarship at one of the nation’s most premier universities.

Fok started caddying at Waverley Country Club in Portland, Oregon. Although Fok was earning good money over his two summers of caddying, the conditions were less than ideal. “Brutal heat, 30-pound bags, 18 holes, five to six days a week, and aching body,” he said of the experience. In fact, Fok told USA Today: “By the time I got home each night, my entire body ached, especially my hip. I suffer from Legg-Calve-Perthes disease, which interrupts blood flow to my hip joint, causing the bone to collapse on itself. As a result, I experience a lot of pain.”

Despite this, Fok approached the daily 138-acre walk with passion and excitement. Why? Because he had one goal: earn the Chick Evans Scholarship for Caddies supported by the Western Golf Association.

“Once, golf was completely unfamiliar to me. I’m a Chinese immigrant. My parents have never set foot on a golf course. In Hong Kong, you typically have to be wealthy to play the sport. But then I learned of the Evans Scholarship, which sounded too good to be true: I could earn a full housing and tuition scholarship to a prestigious university — by caddying.”

In order to be an Evans Scholar, one must demonstrate a strong caddie record, excellent academics, outstanding character and financial need. Fok met all the requirements but one; he didn’t know how to caddy. But he didn’t let that stop him from throwing everything he had into learning.

“Arriving at Waverly Country Club, Fok met former caddie manager, Josiah Neuhaus, who interviewed and hired him. Neuhaus always gave tips to Fok, and worked with the young caddy throughout the process. “Neuhaus, among many others, always had confidence in me, even when I didn’t believe in myself. On top of the physical issues that come with my Legg-Calve-Perthes disease, I also faced emotional struggles. I was the victim of childhood abuse, something that I work every day to move past. But a chance to go to the college of my dreams was all the motivation I needed.”

Hailey Burns, a 17-year-old North Carolina girl who went missing more than a year ago, has been found in a Georgia home with a 31-year-old man, Michael Ren Wysolovski.

What Happened?

Burns was found in a house in Duluth after a special agent in Charlotte received a tip about her location. She was rescued shortly before midnight on Saturday and Wysolovki was taken into custody. He now faces a handful of state charges, the FBI said, including aggravated sodomy, cruelty to children and false imprisonment.

Burns’ parents, who say Hailey has Asperger’s syndrome, met Wysolovski online.

“He got her in the car, brought her straight to his house and she pretty much had to stay there the whole time,” her mother, Shaunna Burns, told WSOC-TV on Sunday.

According to IJR.com, her parents learned from a classmate that she had “been talking to” a then-30-year-old man and exchanging pone messages with him in which she called him “Daddy.”

Shaunna said that while being held captive, Burns met a Romanian woman online whom she told that she was missing. The woman researched the case and then contacted Burns’ parents on Friday night.

“We got the first message at 8:09 [P.M.] and then, by 12:32 [A.M.], they had her,” Shaunna said.

Burns’ parents said a tipster reached out to her to find out where she was. Burns was unsure of her exact location, so she took a photo from the house window and within hours, she was rescued.

Last month, the Charlotte Division of the FBI offered a $15,000 reward for anyone who could help located Hailey.

“We know that this happy ending is not the norm, it is the exception to the rule,” Shaunna said.

“We want people to know that there are happy endings to this kind of a story. It was a dream come true.”

If The BIG3 League Is A Success, Ice Cube Is About to Become One Of The Richest Dudes In Rap

One of the iconic founders of gangster rap, Ice Cube has made an impressive living for himself as both an entertainer and entrepreneur. As a teenager, Ice Cube was as ambitious as he was intelligent as he sold his first song by age 16 while being enrolled at the Phoenix Institute of Technology where he studied architecture. His newest business venture, BIG3, is a 3-on-3 basketball league that allows retired players to relive their glory days as competitive basketball players while allowing fans to watch their favorite idols compete on a personable level. Given Ice Cube’s consistent success, the essential question remains of how much is the ubiquitous entertainment icon actually worth?

Ice Cube’s Net Worth as of 2017: $145 Million

How did the world-renowned rapper get there? And how have Ice Cube’s various pursuits earned him this type of wealth? Let’s take a closer look.

1987-1999

In 1987, Ice Cube released a single, which was produced by Dr. Dre titled My Posse. While the single was recorded with his group C.I.A., Ice Cube was quickly initiated into the rap group N.W.A for his impressive abilities as a song writer. Throughout his three year span with the group, Ice Cube wrote most of the lyrics for the groups landmark album Straight Outta Compton and Easy-E’s solo album Easy-Duz-It. However, Ice Cube was underpaid for his contributions and, according to his contract, he was not even an official member of N.W.A. Ultimately, Ice Cube left the group to pursue a solo career and filed a lawsuit against them, which was eventually settled out of court.

1989 saw Ice Cube release his first solo album titled AmeriKKKa’s Most Wanted. The album was released in May 1990 to favorable reviews and was immensely impactful in the rising of rap’s popularity into the mainstream. While the album was considered controversial as the message appeared to be racist and misogynistic, Ice Cube continued to release his own popular works while producing albums for various artist. Female rapper Yo-Yo was one of the first artist to release an album under Ice Cube’s record label Ruthless Records.

From 1991-1992, Ice Cube would release two more albums, each one more popular than the last. His second album, Death Certificate, was considered to be more focused albeit much more controversial than his first first solo offering. Ice Cube’s third album, The Predator, remains his most commercially successful album to date.

Throughout the 90’s, Ice cube starred in a variety of film roles, most notably as Doughboy in Boyz n the Hood. After becoming respected as an actor, Ice Cube was encouraged to write a screenplay for his own film. Given his success when it came to writing musical lyrics, Ice Cube used his talents effectively when he wrote the screenplay for the movie Friday. The film earned $28 million on a $3.5 million budget, which allowed Ice Cube to write two sequels titled Next Friday and Friday After Next.

Coming into 2000, Ice Cube’s rap and acting career never lost steam and he continued to elevate is well-rounded entertainment status to new heights. He joined Dr. Dre, Eminem and Snoop Dogg on tour in 2000 while continuing to write and act in various films.

In terms of his rap career, Ice Cube released the album Laugh Now, Cry Later in 2006, which was his most commercially successful album since he released The Predator in the early 90’s. While Ice Cube has not released an original album since I Am The West in 2010, he has created a couple of anthems for his favorite NFL team the Oakland Raiders.

Most recently, Ice Cube announced the creation of his own basketball league called BIG3. A 3-on-3 concept that features former NBA stars, the league features eight teams that play in a new city each week over a eight week regular season schedule. Not only does this allow some of the best players from yesteryear to compete in a fun and free flow setting, it engages fans on a personable level as they watch several of their favorite former franchise players compete.

Looking back on Ice Cube’s career as a whole, it becomes abundantly clear that the versatile entertainer has always strived to be true to himself while increasing the popularity of his brand. While Ice Cube’s visions for greatness were highly ambitious, he never lost sight of how to achieve success in a way that allowed him to become more versatile while enjoying the aspects of the entertainment industry that he was truly passionate about. Since creating the Big3 league, Ice Cube has continued to set the bar high for any entertainer that wants to step beyond their comfort zone to create something wholly unique and impactful.

A New Bike-Sharing App, Dropbike, Launches At University of Toronto

Dropbike, a bike-rental application that can be downloaded on the phone, is erupting as one of the more popular ways to travel around town without hassle.

Dropbike allows users to find a bike on their phone, receive a code to unlock it, rent it for $1/hr and return it to any ‘haven’ — bike posts and bike racks marked in the app. However, since the app is newly introduced, the bikes have to be returned to campus grounds due to its ongoing project status.

The startup projected kicked off its introduction on June 15th. 68 brand new orange bikes arrived on campus for students, faculty members, and administrators to use. Dropbike allows users to find a bike on their phone, receive a code to unlock it and rent it for $1 per hour. The bike can be returned to any “haven” — bike posts and bike racks marked in the app.

The pilot project is solely tested on school grounds but the CEO does have plans to expand the project as demand and opportunity arise.

Qiming Weng, the founder and CEO of Dropbike, said he was inspired by similar bike-sharing initiatives he saw while traveling in Asia.

“In China, I noticed these colourful bicycles that everyone was riding, you could use your smartphone to unlock them and take them almost anywhere,” he said. The idea to bring the system to Canada was born soon after that.

The app produced acclaim from the University of Toronto. Jasmine Denike, Dropbike’s campus manager at the University of Toronto, said the response to the pilot has been overwhelmingly positive.

Alyy Patel, a fourth-year sociology and sexual diversity double major at the university, tried out one of the bikes and had a blast.

“I haven’t biked since I was 7 years old and I didn’t think I could,” she said.

Bill Magee, a sociology professor at the university, claims that the bike-sharing project has some benefits in terms of convenience. He thinks that having the system on campus will help students and professors because it will allow them to cross the campus faster.

“If I have to pay 50 cents to get from one side of campus to another, I’d do that,” said Magee.

Although this app is only rooted in the University of Toronto, with time and patience, the app can be found all over Canada and maybe in other regions of the world. Not only does the app create convenience for travelers, but also it promotes a healthy and cheaper way for one to live life, commuting or visiting a place to another.

Here Are The Most Hilarious And Vicious Jokes From The David Ortiz Roast

I’m a New York Yankees fan which means I hate everything Boston Red Sox. I hate Boston, I hate the color red and I hate socks. Yeah, it’s like that…But even I can begrudgingly acknowledge how truly amazing David Ortiz was and how much he meant for the city of Boston. Though it pains me to say it, I do respect Big Papi as a baller and a stand up dude.

As it turns out, so do the Red Sox (surprise surprise) as they retired his No. 34 jersey before Friday night’s game against the Los Angeles Angels. Ortiz is just the 11th player in franchise hisotry to have his number retired joining the likes of Ted Williams and Pedro Martinez. But before Ortiz would commemorate his 14 years in Boston, fellow Bean Town athletes and comedians absolutely shredded him at the Roast of David Ortiz at the House of Blues.

Bill Burr, Dustin Pedroia and Rob Gronkowski were the headliners and The Boston Globe was there to transcribed the best of the best.

“Where the fuck do you get off being honored when you only have three championships? Last I checked, Brady had five and he’s still playing. Imagine if you just ate a salad every once in a while.” — Bill Burr, on David Ortiz

“They were gonna make a bobblehead for Dustin Pedroia, but he refused to lay in the box long enough for them to make the mold.” — Josh Wolf, on Dustin Pedroia

“You’re an author of a best-selling book, and the biggest word in that book was ‘baseball.’ Now you’ve actually written one more book than you’ve read.” — Lenny Clarke, on David Ortiz

“You’ll have a reunion and see Pedro and Manny—and the team of ICE agents Curt Schilling called to deport all of you, because he’s a racist fuck.” — Josh Wolf, on David Ortiz’s retirement ceremony

“You look like the Dominican Babe Ruth, if he ate all the Baby Ruths. You look like a groundhog with a drinking problem. Seriously, I hope we raise some money tonight, and send it toward David’s diabetes problems. What’s that, ‘David doesn’t have diabetes’? Well he’s already running like they amputated a foot, so you tell me what’s going on.” — Adam Ray, on David Ortiz

“Every year, Gronk gets injured. Whether it’s breaking his arm or from pulling his back or from having a full-on seizure from trying to read the word ‘elephant.’” — Adam Ray, on Rob Gronkowski

“You’ve never seen Papi in shorts, and that’s scary. Motherfucker skipped leg day every day of the week. People wonder why he’s so slow to first base. I’m like, you try carrying 250 pound on two burnt popsicle sticks!” — Anthony Mackie, on David Ortiz

“Did you know a DH spends an average of 4.3 minutes a game actually doing something athletic? My mom’s Fitbit has more steps from a brisk mall walk than David notched in a fucking doubleheader. Oh, Papi, you’re an inspiration to overweight beer league softball players everywhere.” — Rob Gronkowski, on David Ortiz

Congrats, Big Papi. Now watch my Yankees cruise into the playoffs this season.

Mark Buehrle Admits To Crushing Beers Before His Legendary Save In Game 3 Of The 2005 World Series

These baseball players, man, what a life.

Between dipping tobacco on the field and crushing beers in the bullpen, even at the professional level, the players are essentially just dudes being bros: hitting baseballs, chewing dip, drinking beers, and getting paid millions of dollars to do so.

However, that said, I had no idea the bro-culture of drinking beer during the game made it’s way all the way up to the World Series. You’d think that given the fact the World Series is the largest stage most players will ever perform on that they’d have the self-control to not drink during the game. Especially when they’re a pitcher that could be used at any moment, right?

Right?

Wrong.

For years now, legend had it that longtime White Sox ace Mark Buehrle had put down a couple of beers before his now-legendary save during Game 3 of the 2005 World Series. In the twelve years since Buehrle has yet to give a definitive answer … until now.

via The Players Tribune:

The thing a lot of people talk about with that one is this rumor that I drank a few beers before I got the save in our Game 3 victory.

There’s been some stuff that’s come out on that topic, but I feel like you all should really hear it straight from the horse’s mouth. So, here goes….

In short: Yeah, sure, O.K. fine, so I had a few. I can admit to that.

But you gotta let me explain.

First off, no one on the planet would’ve ever guessed that I was going to see the field in Game 3. I had started the previous game of the series and threw 100 pitches in that one. I would’ve bet my house that I wasn’t going to pitch a day and a half later. Anyone would have.

So, that being the case, you better believe that I was gonna do what came natural to me — grab a few beers during the early innings, kick back and enjoy the game like everyone else.

And it was just like one or two beers.

Every time I grabbed one, I’d go over and check in with the coaches.

“Hey, you guys are sure you’re not going to need me, right?”

“No, Mark. You are not pitching today. You just went.”

So I’d hear that and grab a beer.

It was only like three beers….

Max.

Definitely no more than three, though.

I swear.

Anyway, of course the game had to go 14 innings, right?

By the 11th, I began to get the feeling that something strange might be taking place. At that point, I started to bear down and prepare. And I was ready to pitch when my name was called.

When it was all said and done, I got the save. We got the win. And we won the whole thing the next day.

No one gives me any grief about it … because, first and foremost, sports fans in Chicago care about winning. And we brought home the trophy.

But also, I think part of it has to do with the fact that the people there really love their beer.

They understand.

Now while one might be quick to jump on Buehrle, not only did the White Sox win Game 3 and the series, but four years later, Buehrle would go on to pitch the 18th perfect game in the history of professional baseball. Clearly, drunk or not, the dude knew what he was doing.

The 2017 free agency period is full if big names and franchise players. With players like Chris Paul, Gordon Hayward, Blake Griffin, Paul Millsap, Kyle Lowry,  and others on the move, teams could be looking to make a big splash. But not every team has the cap room or the need for a marquee free agent. For those teams looking to add a small piece or some depth, there is still plenty of talent for them to choose from. Let’s look at five underrated free agents and which teams they could help the most.

5. George Hill

Instagram Photo

Who he is: George Hill has bounced around a bit in his career, but he is by no means a journeyman. Hill has proved that he can be a starting guard on any team in this league and can contribute in different facets of the game. He is unspectacular in most of his work but will provide a steady hand running the offense. He shoots the ball well and is not a liability on defense. He will likely be teams’ first option at point guard if Paul and Lowry decide to stay put.

Where he fits: The Pelicans could use a point guard to help get their two stars involved. The Knicks and Mavs are always looking for somebody to run their backcourt. The Spurs would be another landing spot if Patty Mills does not return, though Hill will cost more.

How much he is worth: Probably not Mike Conley numbers from last year (Five years, $153 million), But he should be in the ballpark. Four years $80-$90+million is not out of the question.

 4. J.J. Redick

Instagram Photo

Who he is: Redick is one of the best three-point shooters in the league but was underutilized as a Clipper. If he goes to a team that relies on him more for scoring, he could see his scoring average shoot up. He is one of the best at a premier skill in today’s NBA and should find plenty of suitors this offseason. He is not a primary scorer on a contending team, but Redick can be a solid complementary scorer who will change a team’s attack.

Where he fits: He would help the Cavs, but they probably cannot afford him. The Thunder would be another good landing spot if they can find the money. The Rockets will likely be in the market if Redick wants to play for a contender. He could go to the Lakers or 76ers in hopes of being an integral part of a team on the come-up.

How much he is worth: Not Bradley Beal numbers (Five years, $128 Million) but probably closer to Evan Turner or Allen Crabbe (four years, around $70 million)

3. Otto Porter

Instagram Photo

Who he is: Porter is a prototypical 3-and-D wing who really figured out his shot last year. He was a big part of the Wizards’ success and he can contribute immediately to whatever team signs him. He is not an isolation scorer, but he can work well within the flow of the offense. Additionally, if he can cement himself as a lockdown defender in the league, he should be a valuable asset to a contending team.

Where he fits: Houston could use his defense, and the Grizzlies and Raptors could use his scoring. Porter really has a place on any team in this league, it all depends on who wants to pay him.

How much he is worth: Porter could really get paid. Maybe not Nicolas Batum paid (five years, $120) but definitely Harrison Barnes or Chandler Parsons paid (four years, $94 million)

2. Danilo Gallinari

Instagram Photo

Who he is: Gallinari is another strong three-point shooter who makes up for his lack of defensive ability with outstanding shooting numbers. Gallinari alone will not be carrying any team to a championship himself, but as a third or fourth banana he can space the floor and really add to a team’s offensive attack.

Where he fits: His shooting fits with any team in the league, but a team should be pretty solid defensively before taking a shot at Gallinari. The Pacers, Pelicans, Thunder or Grizzlies should be in play. The Jazz also may need a small forward replacement sooner than they hope.

How much he is worth: Probably in the same range as Porter, maybe a little less because he does not play defense. Look in the four years, $70 million-plus range.

1. Kelly Olynyk

Instagram Photo

Who he is: Olynyk has been a fringe starter for most of his career but put in the right situation and he could see himself as a major contributor. He plays hard and can shoot the three. He does not rebound very well or score in isolation, but he finds ways to score and will get plenty of offers.

Where he fits: The Suns, the Blazers or the Hornets could look for some more front court scoring. If Olynyk could be had for cheap he would work well with the Heat or part of a rebuild in Los Angeles.

How much he is worth: Should not get Ryan Anderson numbers (four years, $80 million) but if Joakim Noah is making $18 million a year, anything is possible for Olynyk.

Interestingly enough, success is often measured by one’s expertise, perfection, and greatness in any area of discipline. The greatest basketball players won NBA Championships and hoisted hardware such as MVP awards and the scoring titles. In Hollywood, the best musicals are awarded Tony Awards and the best entertainers are nominated at the annual BET Awards.

But don’t feel inadequate. Would it be a relief to hear that the average American millionaire earns just a 2.9 overall GPA in college? Frankly, that should be music to everyone’s ears, including my roommate, who has a 2.8 GPA and is currently getting scolded by his parents about his scholarship options and financial aid.

Eric Barker, the author of “Barking Up The Wrong Tree,”  explains why the average American millionaire doesn’t perform well in an academic setting but still reaches the apex of success in the professional world.

With the help of Karen Arnold, a researcher at Boston College, the scrupulous study indicates that high school valedictorians do well but they don’t actually attain the highest level of success metrics in the future. In other words, they do not become billionaires or people who run the world in general.

Research states that valedictorians or high achieving students who garner a good grade point average often comply to rules. Therefore, valedictorians often go out into the world, supporting the system, becoming part of a system. They do not change or overthrow the system.

While valedictorians are generally scoring high in personality trait of conscientiousness, millionaires with 2.9 GPAs are known for their grit.

Maybe they don’t comply with rules that well but they stick with goals over the long term and that’s how they do really well. And sometimes they don’t play by the rules, sometimes they do things differently.

So a certain amount of not playing by the rules is advantageous once you get out of a closed system like education.

Jacob David Mustoe, a 17-year-old boy Kansas City teen, has been charged in the death of another teen after running him over with his vehicle while high on psychedelic mushrooms.

Mustoe, 17, was charged with first-degree involuntary manslaughter in the death of 17-year-old Jake A. Wehmeyer.

According to authorities, police were called around 4 AM on Sunday, June 25, to the 9400 block of North Kentucky Avenue for a disturbance. When police arrived they found a vehicle that had driven through a closed garage door of a home. Inside, they found Wehmeyer dead at the scene, lying partially under the vehicle.

via KCTV 5:

Court records state officers saw evidence of s struggle with holes in the walls and blood throughout the basement and first floor upon entering the home. Neighbors told police that the family had gone out of town and the homeowners’ two sons, Wehmeyer and his 14-year-old brother, had been left at the home.

While investigating the crime scene, officers were approached by Mustoe’s mother who said her son had come home and told her that Wehmeyer needed help. The woman described her son’s vehicle, and officers determined it was the vehicle involved in the incident.

Officers then responded to the 8900 block of North Lewis Avenue and contacted Mustoe who had apparent injuries leading officers to believe that he had been the driver of the vehicle that had struck the victim.
Mustoe was placed under arrest and taken to an area hospital for minor injuries. He was then taken to police headquarters for questioning.

According to court records, Mustoe told detectives he was under the influence of psilocybin mushrooms the night of the incident when he and Wehmeyer got into an argument which escalated to them throwing billiard balls at each other.

Mustoe said he then walked to his car parked up the street, started the vehicle, and immediately accelerated, heading south on Kentucky Avenue. Mustoe told detectives he then aimed his car toward Wehmeyer’s home, intentionally driving into the yard of the neighbor and driving toward the home.

He said he did this because he was high on the mushrooms and thought “everything would be OK”. Mustoe said he then saw Wehmeyer standing in the grass of the neighbor’s yard trying to tell him to slow down. Wehmeyer was trying to tell Mustoe to stop, but it was too late, and he hit him, killing him.

Mustoe’s bond was set at $200,000.
