FIFA 18 is around the corner, and we’re here to share all key information about the upcoming addition to the soccer series. This year, a series of new features, tweaks and changes are likely around the corner.

The E3 Press Conference spilled the beans on a lot of the game’s details, from gameplay footage across consoles to a new form of Ultimate Team.

FIFA 18: Icons

Icons will be replacing Legends, the Ultimate Team game mode that lets you collect players outside of the active player rosters, including the old, retired legends of the soccer scene. EA announced a few new additions to the lineup this year, including Diego Maradonna, Ronaldo Nazári, Lev Yashin, Pele and Thierry Henry.

The mode will be available across all platforms, including the Xbox 360, PS3 and Nintendo Switch.

EA Sports finished their announcement about Icons by stating: “The Best of the Best are coming to FIFA 18 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. More details on ICONS to be revealed soon.”

FIFA 18: Story Mode, Trailers and Features

The Journey 2 returns, and Alex Hunter is back! This year follows the iconic protagonist after his first successful year of winning the FA Cup and if he chooses to leave or return to the pro scene.

We also got to see a little bit of new gameplay footage, with FIFA showing off the improved FrostBite engine animations and graphics.

Some other key new features include:

• Improved crowds, commentary and stadiums to create a more vibrant and immersive atmosphere
• Better penalty system
• Better visuals, especially on faces
• Dribbling mechanics improved to help slow dribblers control their speed
• More interesting player personalities on and off the field
• Quick subs that let you sub players in and out during pause moments

FIFA 18: Nintendo Switch

The Nintendo Switch version of FIFA 18 will be different than it is on other platforms this year. During EA Play 2017, EA showcased a number of features on the Switch, including the Ultimate Team, kick off, skill games, career mode, Women’s International Cup and local seasons.

The Ultimate Team will feature squad building challenges, seasons play, tournaments and draft.

Players can play on Switch in the docked, handheld or tabletop mode, with local multiplayer connection for Local Seasons and several controller options.

FIFA 18 can be run in 1080p on the TV and in 720p on the handheld device.

As of the 6th, we learned FIFA 18 won’t have a story mode featuring Alex Hunter nor will Frostbite Engine be supported on the Nintendo Switch version, falling more in line with the versions for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

And since FIFA 18 won’t get more than some roster changes and stat updates on older consoles and the Switch, the title may not be worth buying if you haven’t purchased a new console or own a high-powered PC yet.

“EA Sports’ FIFA on Nintendo Switch will be the most immersive, social, and authentic sports game ever created for Nintendo players,” Söderlund said. “It will deliver the FIFA experience custom-built for Nintendo Switch so you can play anywhere, play with anyone, and play how you want to play.”

The quality of the game will be exemplary of how EA goes forward with Switch games in the future, but from what we know, it looks like FIFA 17 re-skinned.

FIFA 18: release date, beta, demo, cover star and pre-order info

FIFA 18 is expected to release on September 29, 2017. We haven’t gotten any info about a beta or a demo, but we expect them to release a demo for free to download a couple weeks before the release date like they did last year.

Cristiano Ronaldo dominated the showing as the cover star of FIFA, shown in the reveal trailer we saw before the conference:

We’re expecting Ronaldo to be one of the highest-rated players in the game since FIFA featured him on the cover, and he’s won so many awards in the past year, including the FIFA World Player of the Year Award.

We’ll finally be able to play FIFA 18 on September 29th on any platform. A standard and Ronaldo Edition of the game are expected to come out on the PS4 and Xbox One, but Switch users will only be able to get the standard edition.

The Standard Edition comes with a Christiano Ronaldo 5-Match FUT Loan, five Jump Premium Gold Packs (one per week over five weeks)

The Ronaldo Edition comes with everything in the Standard Edition, three days of Early Access and 15 extra Jumbo Premium Gold Packs (1 per week over 20 weeks).

The Icon Edition comes with everything in the previous two editions, a Ronaldo Nazário Icon 5-Match FUT Loan, 20 extra Jumbo Premium Gold Packs (now 2 per week over 20 weeks) and 20 Team of the Week Loan Player Packs (One 3-match TOTW Loan PLayer per week over 20 weeks).

Last June, former Minnesota Vikings and Arizona Cardinals head coach Dennis Green unexpectedly passed away at the age of 67 due to cardiac arrest.

Back in 1998, Randy Moss, who was clearly one of the most talented wide receivers to ever enter the league, dropped all the way to 21st overall, when he was selected by Green.

Despite perceived ‘character issues’ Green took a chance on Moss, and Moss rewarded his faith, going on to become one of the greatest receivers who ever lived.

Moss, who was inducted into the Vikings Ring of Honor this week, spoke about what he would have said to Green if he were still alive today.

“I don’t know, man,” said Moss, before becoming overcome with emotion. “I was 6 years old playing this game. On draft day, I really don’t know why I was treated the way I was treated on draft day, but Coach Green gave me an opportunity, man. And I told him, ‘Coach, you’re not going to regret this.’

“So, you ask me what I would say to him. Man, I’d probably just fall in his arms and give him a hug. There’s no words that I can tell him.”

“The Ravishing Russian” Lana is scheduled to go toe-to-toe with WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Naomi at Sunday’s Money In The Bank pay-per-view. Behind the scenes, Lana has worked hard to prepare for this championship showdown.

A U.S. Navy Destroyer collided with a Philippine-flagged merchant ship off the coast of Japan. Currently, seven U.S. Navy crew members are missing as a result of the collision. One crew member in injured in the crash. An injured person has been airlifted by a Japan Coast Guard helicopter.

The USS Fitzgerald received partial flooding from the crash on its starboard side above and below the waterline. The crew has worked to pump out this water.

No one of the Filipino container ship has reported any injuries for their crew members.

The Japanese Coast Guard sent five patrol ships and an aircraft carrying medics to the site on a search and rescue mission. According to U.S. officials, tugboats and other Navy assets, including aircraft, are on the way to help out.

Minnesota police offcer Jeronimo Yanez has been cleared of all charges in the shooting death of Philando Castile. The case received nationwide attention when Castile’s girlfriend streamed the aftermath of the shooting on Facebook Live.

Castile’s family was visibly upset over the verdict on Friday. Yanez has been acquitted, yet the city of St. Anthony has announced plans to remove this officer from his duties in law enforcement. Yanez was charged with manslaughter in the death of Castile.

Philando Castile was a 32-year-old cafeteria worker. He was pulled over by Officer Yanez on July 7th in a routine traffic stop. Castile reported that he had a gun to the officer, and within seconds, he was dead. Castile had a permit for that firearm.

“The fact in this matter is that my son was murdered, and I’ll continue to say murdered, because where in this planet (can you) tell the truth, and you be honest, and you still be murdered by the police of Minnesota,” said the victim’s mother, Valerie Castile. “Sir, I have to tell you, I do have a firearm on me.”

“There has always been a systemic problem in the state of Minnesota, and me thinking, common sense that we would get justice. But nevertheless the system continues to fail black people,” She said. “I am so disappointed in the state of Minnesota. My son loved Minnesota. He had one tattoo on his body and it was of the Twin Cities. My son loved this city, and the city killed my son and the murderer gets away.”

“He didn’t deserve to die the way he did,” Philando Castile’s sister, Allysza, said, through tears. “I will never have faith in the system.”

St. Anthony said officials had determined that “the public will be best served” if Yanez is relieved of his duties in law enforcement.

It took jurors 29 hours over the span of five days to deliberate on this case. Prosecutors argued their case, claiming that Yanez overreacted and that Castile was not a threat. Yanez testified that Castile was pulling his gun out of his pocket despite the officer’s directions not to do so. The defense also said that Castile was high on marijuana at the time of the shooting, which affected his judgment.

In December 2016, Dippolito’s case was considered a mistrial in court. This was her second trail, which resulted in a jury deadlock of 3-3. However, a third trail was conducted, and on Friday, she was convicted on the crime of paying an undercover police officer to kill her husband.

The 34-year-old former escort was originally was convicted of solicitation to commit first-degree murder in 2011, which resulted in a judgment of 20 years in prison. In 2014, the Fourth District Court of Appeal reversed her conviction.

Dippolito’s ex-husband, Mike Dippolito, testified during the first and third trial. “We got along really well,” said Mr. Dippolito in court last week. “We had fun together. We did a lot of things. She got me to do things I wouldn’t do.”

Mike Dippolito is a felon, and claims that his wife tried to use his criminal record and prohibition to get his arrested. He claims she placed illegal drugs in vehicle and called police in order to violate his probation, but her attempt failed. He claims that she conned him out of more than $100,000, tricking him that she’ll use the money to pay off his probation.

When Dalia was arrested, she claimed that she never met the undercover officer she hired to kill her husband. But police had digital proof, as they were filming for the show Cops. Her defense claims that the officers were only looking for fame on that long-running reality TV series, and weren’t intending to stop/solve a potential murder.

And guess what else? Apparently, some of this money financed The Wolf of Wallstreet film.

Finance billionaire Jho Low is the head of 1Malaysia Development Berhad. The company alleges that their purpose is to to promote economic development projects in Malaysia. This huge fund collected a sum of roughly $17 billion under the guise that the cash would be used for a benevolent purpose. However, U.S. Authorities claim that the organization’s charitable purpose is merely a front to pull of a massive embezzlement scheme.

Jho Low allegedly uses this as his own personal slush fund to fuel his party animal ways. He looked to woo Kerr with riches, gamble with Leonardo DiCarpio, and even finance a Hollywood blockbuster.

You see that guy? He was able to date super-stunner Miranda Kerr. He used the “diamonds are a woman’s best friend” approach. Diamonds may be forever, but I’d imagine that he knew his relationship with Kerr wasn’t a permanent fixture.

Kerr divorced Orlando Bloom in 2014, and Low was there for the rebound. This big-time baller showed Miranda some diamonds that are simply hypnotizing. He dipped into his organization’s slush fund and pulled out millions to splurge on diamonds for his newly beloved. Kerr decided that she found a new sugar daddy. News.com.au reports how these two “love-birds” hooked up:

“For his very first gift, Low told his New York jeweller, Lorraine Schwartz, that he had “$1-2 million” to spend and that size matters.

That gift — an 11.72 carat heart-shaped diamond that he bought for $US1.29 million — came in time for Valentine’s Day, shortly after Kerr’s divorce.

…he chose the diamond and instructed the jeweller to inscribe it with Kerr’s initials, MK.

That was just the beginning.

In November 2014, Low plunked down $US3.8 million as partial payment for an 8.88 carat diamond pendant from Schwartz valued at around $4.5 million that he gave to Kerr as a gift.”

Miranda was so taken by Low’s giving ways that she decided to date him for a year. Oh, but that’s not all…

Low shilled out millions to gamble and fly around the world with Leonardo DiCaprio, according to the US government. DiCaprio was gifted over $13 million in artwork, which had been gifted to him by the Hollywood production company Red Granite. That company funded the movie Wolf of Wallstreet. But all the money involved was allegedly stolen from the people of Malaysia.

On Thursday, Leonardo DiCaprio’s spokesperson announced that the actor would be returning all of the art gifted to him by Jho Low.

According to News.com.au:

“The U.S. Justice Department is seeking to recover $540 million in assets, including penthouse apartments, paintings by Vincent Van Gogh and a yacht known as the Equanimity, that it says were stolen from Malaysia’s troubled sovereign wealth fund, prompting objections from Malaysian officials who said Friday there was no evidence of such crimes.”

Sorry about that, Malaysia. I wonder if the profits from Wolf of Wallstreet will be handed over as well. I mean, the good people are Hollywood are looking out for the best interests of oppressed people from across the globe…right?

Oscar winner John G. Avildsen passed away in Los Angeles earlier Friday at the age of 81. He won that Oscar for directing the 1976 boxing classic Rocky, starring Sylvester Stallon. Avildsen had also directed all three of the original ‘Karate Kid’ films.

In a Variety interview, Avildsen recalls that he wasn’t too thrilled about directing a boxing story, but he was “moved by the urban character study of Sylvester Stallone’s script.” Avilsen opted out of Rocky II to work on another film, which he considers to be “one of my biggest mistakes.”

Rocky also earned Avildsen a DGA award. He wouldn’t be nominated for another Academy Award until 1983 for the documentary short “Traveling Hopefully.”

The Director’s Guild released a statement regarding the famed director’s death: “We were greatly saddened to learn of the passing of beloved director John Avildsen. His iconic ‘Rocky,’ which won the DGA Feature Film Award in 1976, has been lionized throughout our culture as the quintessential underdog story – a recurring theme in his notable body of work which included ‘Save the Tiger’ and ‘The Karate Kid’ franchise. Throughout the decades, his rousing portrayals of victory, courage and emotion captured the hearts of generations of Americans.”

Avildsen’s films encapsulated the underdog story; overcoming adversity and achieving victory against incredible odds.

John G. Avildsen was born Oak Park, Illinois, on December 21st, 1935. He graduated from Hotchkiss School and NYU. He began his film career as an assistant director for Author Penn and Otto Preminger.

Avildsen worked as a cinematographer from the mid ’60s to the early ’70s, lensing seven films, including his feature directorial debut Turn on to Love (1969).

In 2016, a documentary was released detailing the life and career of the now-late director. The documentary film John G. Avildsen: King of the Underdogs features interviews with Sylvester Stallon, Martin Scorsese, Jerry Weintraub, Burt Reynolds, and Karate Kid star Ralph Macchio.

John G. Avildsen was the father of one daughter and three sons: Bridget, Anthony, Jonathan and Ashley.

UFC Fight Night 111 is taking place early Saturday morning and promises to be a very entertaining fight card. This card features tons of UFC veterans whose specialize end fights at the drop of a hat via knockout or submission. This card features former Lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos (25-9), former Heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski (25-14) and Dong Hyun Kim (22-3-1). This card is a must-watch for longtime UFC fans who were able to watch all these fighters in their prime and want to take a stroll down memory lane.

However, the main fight in this card is between Holly Holm and Bethe Correia for the Women’s Bantamweight title. Holm, overnight, became a household name in the sports world after her vicious knockout victory over Ronda Rousey back in 2015 at UFC 193. However, since that fight Holm is 0-3 and is now looking to recapture her former glory by defending her Women’s Bantamweight championship belt. In order to do so, Holm will have to use her elite kickboxing skills to control the tempo and style of the fight. If Holm can defend the takedown attempts and keep this fight off the ground, Holm can use her boxing prowess to tear Correia apart.

As for Holm’s opponent, Bethe Correia is 10-2-1 and will look to overcome Holm’s three inch height advantage in order to become the new Women’s Bantamweight champion. According to Vegas, her odds are slim and she is currently a 4.75-1 underdog to win the belt. If Correia wants to pull off the upset, she has to take the fight to the ground. There is no chance that she will be able to outbox Holm and she will need to use her takedown offense in order to negate Holm’s huge reach advantage. Correia is known for being a very tough fighter and will need to use that toughness to overcome some massive punches that Holm will likely be throwing for five full rounds. I expect this fight to go the distance but I personally think that Holm will retain the belt.

This year's 24 Hours of Le Mans marks the 85th anniversary of the event. It is an automobile endurance event that is held from June 17-18 at the Circuit de la Sarthe, Le Mans, France. The race features an entry list of 60 cars, along with two reserves. To get to this point, all the invited participants and reserves must take place in a mandatory eight-hour test session if they wish to participate, along with three qualifying sessions that are two hours each that take place in a two day span.

One thing that makes the race so interesting is the amount of countries who compete. It will feature drivers from Germany, Austria, Japan, Switzerland, France, USA, Russia, China, and many more. The race will be called by FOX’s Bob Varsha, Calvin Fish, Tommy Kendall and Jamie Howe.

85 years in an still bringing in a lot of attention, we should be in for another eventful 24 hours. We’ll tell you below how and where you can watch/follow the race.

The FIBA 3×3 World Cup starts today, June 17th and the United States of America is sending a lean and mean group of killers to take on the rest of the world. Damon Huffman, Craig Moore, Dan Mavraides, and Zahir Carrington (left to right) won the Team USA tournament in Colorado Springs earlier this year to earn the right to represent the Red, White, and Blue.

With the way the scoring and rules work in 3×3 basketball, the three-point line is more important than ever. Normal buckets are worth just one point, while a shot from downtown is worth twice as much: two points. That works out just fine for Team USA, since all of these guys are killers from behind the line. The game is extremely fast-paced with zero room for rest.

Look to watch Team USA try to dominate from three-point land, while Zahir Carrington (an extremely versatile and quick big) will try to lock down the opponent’s biggest player. The USA doesn’t have the most size in the tournament, but the value of the 3-ball, plus the speed at which the game is played (12-second shot clock), means that small ball can easily win the day.

You may have noticed that there’s a bit of a ruckus going on between University of Central Florida kicker Donald De La Haye and the NCAA. In a video Haye posted to his YouTube channel last week titled “Quit College Sports or Quit YouTube,” the student-athlete explains that UCF and the NCAA would find him in violation of bylaws if he made any money off of his YouTube channel. Their argument was that he was leveraging his likeness as a college athlete for profit.

Of course, this ignores the fact that Haye is also a marketing major who plans to pursue a career in that field after school. Haye has also said any money he makes from his channel – which currently has almost 60,000 subscribers and 2.7 million views, goes directly to his family who aren;t on the best of financial footing.

“I feel like they’re making me pick between my passion in what I love to do, make videos and entertain, be creative, and my other passion, which is playing football,” he said.

Given Haye’s latest video, it looks like he has chosen to take the NCAA head on. He most recent gem is titled “College sports be like…” and ruthlessly mocks the control the NCAA attempts to exert on its players.

The NCAA claims they want to help protect students, yet they don’t allow its athletes to find jobs or any outlets that might prepare for them life after football. Kudos to Haye for putting up a fight, let’s just hope those bloodsuckers don’t take away his scholarship as a result.

Juror were locked on whether or not Cosby’s actions constituted rape. According to the case, one victim Andrea Constand claims that Cosby drugged her and put his hand down her pants in 2004. She didn’t ask to have sexual relations with Cosby, but the comedian tells the court that his actions were consensual. Therefore, the jury is deadlocked, and the judge declared a mistrial.

“After 52 hours of deliberation, probably one of the most courageous acts I’ve ever seen, I’m compelled to grant a mistrial,” said Judge O’Neill to the courtroom teeming with people.

However, within minutes of the mistrial, the Montgomery County District Attorney’s office declared that they will retry the case.

Natalya Neidhart is apart of professional wrestling royalty. Her uncle is former WWE Champion Bret “Hitman” Heart, and her father is Bret’s longtime tag-team partner Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart. Nattie is a second-generation superstar and let’s everyone know about her storied ancestry.

Tamina is a second-generation superstar. Her father is legendary pro wrestler Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka. She has Samoan, Japanese, and Fijian ancestry.

Ms. Snuka made her WWE debut on the May 24th, 2010, edition of Monday Night Raw. She arrived on the scene as a villain alongside The Usos.
