Margaret Garza, a former 31-year-old beauty queen from Texas, was found dead in her home on Tuesday, May 30.

Police say they were called to the 1800 block of Mathers Mill Trail Round Rock, Texas on May 30 around 6:30 AM and found Garza,31, not breathing.

Garza’s death is currently under investigation as it’s still unclear how she died. Garza was crowned Ms. Texas Belleza Latina in 2007 and Ms. Belleza Latina International in 2008.

Police were called at 6:31 a.m. to the 1800 block of Mathers Mill Trail about a woman who was not breathing, said Angelique Myers, a spokeswoman for the Round Rock Police Department.

Firefighters and medics were already at the scene when police arrived. Her death is under investigation and an autopsy is pending, Myers said.

Garza was crowned Miss Texas Belleza Latina in 2007 and Miss Belleza Latina International in 2008, according to an online obituary.

She recently appeared in the AMC television series “The Son,” as well as in the movie “Mercury Plains” with Scott Eastwood, the obituary said. She was also in the movie “Pizza Joint,” that will premiere this month.

The family will receive condolences Friday at Joe Jackson North Funeral & Cremation Services, 1410 Jacaman Road., from 5 PM to 9 PM A vigil and rosary will be recited at 7 PM.

Funeral cortege will depart the chapel at 9 a.m. Saturday to St. Patrick Catholic Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 AM.

Margaret Ann Garza was born on March 21st, 1986 to Fred and Carmen Garza. She was the epitome of love, and she was so very loved by all. Besides God, her family and close friends were always first. She was a loving daughter and a true friend. Margaret was thoughtful, kindhearted, unselfish, and genuine. She had a beautiful smile, but beyond that, a beautiful heart. She always gave her time to anyone who needed her. She was either sharing a good time celebrating friends, comforting friends, or just there when someone needed a friend.

Margaret dared to dream big. She did things most people only aspire to. She loved pageantry, singing, acting, and modeling. Margaret was crowned Ms. Texas Belleza Latina in 2007 and Ms. Belleza Latina International in 2008. She appeared in various ads in television and in print. She had several acting roles and most recently appeared in the nationally televised series, “The Son”, as well as Mercury Plains with Scott Eastwood and Pizza Joint, which will premiere this June.

She enjoyed life and worked hard to achieve her goals. Margaret attended Alexander High School in Laredo. She graduated from TAMIU with a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies. She was a driven, motivated and dedicated professional who believed in self-discipline and hard work. She recently obtained her broker’s insurance license.

Margaret enjoyed the simple things in life and knew their worth. Everything big and small was worth its weight in gold to her. She was beauty without presumption, intelligence with humility, and unyielding perseverance without rest.

Margaret was a self-proclaimed “Daddy’s Girl” who loved every moment with him. She gained her love of nature, riding horses, shooting guns, and all things cowboy from her #1 Cowboy, her Daddy. And from her mama, it was having pride in a nice clean home, her love of cooking, and her respect for others. Margaret had a lovely bond with her mother. Above all, she and her mother were best friends. Both her parents loved, cared, and nurtured Margaret. Their love made Margaret the beautiful human being she was inside and out.

Margaret touched our hearts, empowered us, and inspired many people. She was a “Once in a Lifetime Kind of Woman” who left us too soon. We celebrate her life, and mourn her passing. Margaret Ann Garza passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 in Round Rock, TX.

She is preceded in death by her paternal grandmother:  Alicia Garza; maternal grandparents:  Frank and Margarita Wolter.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her beloved parents:  Juan A. “Fred” & Carmen W. Australian mother-of-two Tammy Hembrow, from Queensland, was recently honored as a member of Khloe Kardashian’s “Good Squad” – a crew of models promoting the star’s new Good American denim line. Simultaneously, I just realized I’ll never have my own crew of models and that makes me sad.

Khloe said the 23-year-old fitness queen and entrepreneur “motivated” her on her fitness journey “for longer than she is probably aware of.”

The blonde bombshell recently opened up about her favorite healthy meal, fitness tips and favorite beauty products when talking about a recent IG post.

“On the left I worked out probably 3 – 5 days a week. Cardio, light weights, and under-eating,” she wrote. “On the right I train at least 3 – 5 days a week, minimal cardio, heavy weights, eating A LOT. Moral of the story? It IS possible to build the body you want. It takes time, consistency, challenging yourself, and FOOD.”

Hembrow revealed that she’s gone through several physical transformations over the years and know what it’s like to have a changing figure.

“I’ve been almost 10kg heavier, with lots of cellulite and an untoned body,” she continued.

“I’ve also had times that I’ve been too skinny with a little cellulite and almost no shape, and now after years of training and correct eating I have more muscle, pretty much no cellulite at all, and am healthier than ever even after two babies.”

The full five-member crew includes: Oleg Novitskiy, Peggy Whitson, Thomas Pesquet, Fyodor Yurchikhin, Jack D. Fischer. The crew arrived aboard Soyuz MS-03 and Soyuz MS-04.

Due to a decision to cut down the numbers of participating Russian cosmonauts in 2017, only two cosmonauts were launched in Soyuz MS-04.

Police in Chester, Pennsylvania, are investigating a fatal shooting, Friday. As a result, the nearby Chester High School has been placed on lockdown.

What’s Happening?

Police responded to a report of a person down on 11th and Parker Streets shortly before 8:00 A.M.

When police arrived on the scene, they found a juvenile who had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The body was found near Chester High School, leading to the building’s lockdown as a precaution. The school is located in the 200 block of West 9th Street. There have been no reports of injuries to any students, teachers or staff. Police are on the scene investigating.

Police have not provided a description for the suspect and no other details are known at this time.

One of country’s top guitarists Aamir Zaki passed away on Friday. He was 49.

The former Vital Signs member’s death was confirmed by relatives including his brother Shahid Zaki.

A family member told The Express Tribune that the cause of Zaki’s death was heart failure after a prolonged illness.

“We are still shifting the body. The funeral will most likely be held tomorrow.”

The musician, who made his overdue debut on popular Pakistani music show Coke Studio in 2014, was last seen in action performing at the two-day long I Am Karachi Music Festival. He recently collaborated with Saleem Javed, another legend of the Pakistani music industry, reworking the singer’s classic Tum Mere Ho.

Playing guitar since the age of 14 , Zaki was best known for his short stint with the Vital Signs in 1994 when he toured globally with the group and played on their fourth album before being asked to leave the band altogether.

He then released his debut solo album Signature in 1995, from which the song ‘Mera Pyaar’ became a massive hit.

Celebrities and fans took to Twitter to send their condolences over the legendary composer.

Authorities have released new CCTV images of Salman Abedi, the Manchester bomber, walking through the streets of the city in an attempt to track his movements prior to the attack. Officers are hoping to enlist the public in helping them piece together the events of the lead-up to the attack at the Manchester Arena last Monday that killed 22 people.

Detective Chief Superintendent Russ Jackson, head of the North West Counter Terrorism Unite, said “significant progress” was being made in the investigation. But he also noted that officials are still trying to figure out why Abedi went to the Banff Road area in Rusholme.

In the wake of the tragedy, some have claimed that warnings to authorities regarding Abedi were not followed up leading up to the attack. However, officers have been unable to find any records of calls about Abedi to the police Anti Terrorist Hotline. As a result, police have asked anyone who previously called about Abedi to reach out again.

The new CCTV images show Abedi walking around the city.

Jackson said of the images:

“We are still working to track the movements of Salman Abedi and have already released a number of images of him, in the hope that they will jog people’s memories.

“Today, we are releasing further images of Abedi, so I would ask you to look closely at them and contact us if you saw him. We know that Abedi left the country on April 15 and arrived back on May 18 and we now know from our inquiries that he purchased parts for the bomb after arriving back. What we still need to understand is if he had any of the bomb parts in his possession before he went out of the country, this is why we are tracking his movements so carefully.

“We have made a lot of progress in this with the use of CCTV and have received some really helpful calls from the public. This has led us to the Banff Road area in Rusholme.”

Jackson further explained that his department are conducting house-to-house inquiries but were “still not satisfied” why Abedi was there. Jackson said that it was “vital” that they unearth the reasons behind the bomber’s movements and who he spoke to leading up to the attack.

According to Reddit, a young man was flaunting his drug dealing wealth on Facebook Live while inside a Jacksonville, Florida trap house. That’s when a SWAT team rudely interrupted his fun, busting down the doors and locking his dumbass up.

I guess that shit does stop. Come on, maaaaann. How goddamn stupid can you be? It’s like the legendary Lil Wayne once said, “Real Gs move in silence like lasagna.” The drug dealing game is all about keeping a low profile and advertising your law-breaking ways to anybody with an internet connection isn’t exactly inconspicuous. A flashy fur coat was all it took to put Frank Lucas on the police’s radar, so you’ve got to tread lightly in these drug dealing streets.

Just when I thought I’d hit peak Kevin Durant-hate, he goes and pulls a stunt like this.

No, I’m not talking about taking the easy way out and leaving the Thunder for the 73-win Warriors.

And no, I’m not talking about how he constantly bitches about the media.

I’m also not even talking about his sheer dominant performance in Game 1.

I’m talking about KD staring down Rihanna, one of the world’s foremost sex symbols, like she was some sort of drunken, middle-aged, Cavaliers fan-schlub who tanked 10k into courtside seats.

Anyone who’s ever gotten laid in their entire life knows that if a girl’s trying to hook up with you, she’ll usually throw a little shade your way. Especially the 10’s of the world like Rihanna. Rihanna is the hunter in this situation, and in my professional opinion, KD was her prey. Sure, she may have been repping LeBron as hard as anyone in The Oracle, but LeBron, as he’s said about 500 times, is a husband and a father. As much as Rihanna may want The King’s crown, an affair between those two, in today’s times, would be all but impossible to pull off.

That would be like Donald Trump trying to go behind closed doors with Kylie Jenner — literally, every single person on Earth would probably hear about it at one point or another. You would have people in Bangladesh telling their buddies, ‘Yo you hear LeBron piped Rihanna?’. Both of them go by one name, and when your one of those one name people (Prince, Beyonce, Elvis, Harambe, etc.) there are no more secrets.

So, if you’re Rihanna, and you can’t hook up with for LeBron, what do you do? Go for literally the next best thing: Kevin Durant.

And it was a classic chick move too. She talks shit at the game, so when you see her at the club later that night, you already have an opening line. Flirting is essentially playful shit talking, and Rihanna was trying to lay the groundwork. Just look at that … look!

And how does Durant react? Like an 8th grader who’s never picked up a signal in his life. Back in my day, when I was about 13, 14 or whatever, when we’d play manhunt, a girl and a guy would pair off and they’d haphazardly make out in the bushes.

KD would be the kid to be playing manhunt, get paired off with the hottest girl in the grade behind the most secluded bushes in the neighborhood, and when that girl makes a move, he’d say, ‘SHHHHHHH, they’ll find us!’.

That’s who Kevin Durant is.

Almost immediately after Eminem’s rap masterpiece “Stan” was released in 2000, people started using the term to describe a deranged fan. Even Nas joined in on the fun, calling Jay Z a “Stan” in his classic 2001 diss track “Ether.”

But over the years, the term has gained more and more popularity to the point that it’s an accepted part of our daily vernacular. People who aren’t even rap fans are aware of the term, and the Oxford English Dictionary has now decided that “Stan” is culturally relevant enough to be placed in their latest edition.

Here’s Exclaim with the scoop.

According to the OED, “Stan” is now officially defined as “an overzealous or obsessive fan of a particular celebrity.” The word can also be used as a verb, meaning to “be an overzealous or obsessive fan of a particular celebrity.”

The official listing under the term’s origin reads: “Early 21st century: probably with allusion to the 2000 song ‘Stan’ by the American rapper Eminem, about an obsessed fan.”

This is fantastic news. Eminem’s resume is chock-full of hits, and “Stan” is without question one of his top-five greatest songs. That third verse still gives me goosebumps after all of these years, so it’s awesome to see Eminem get recognized for painting the picture of a batshit crazy fan with such chilling precision.

HBO’s The Wire quietly went off the air nearly a decade ago. In the ensuing time, the criminally under-watched series has become more properly appreciated as it is now widely considered one of the greatest series in TV history. As part of the show’s 15th anniversary celebration, some members of the cast have shared their best and most hilarious memories. This includes one particular sex scene.

“We were doing the scene over and over and [the director] kept screaming ‘Louder! Louder! Climax now!’” Deirdre Lovejoy, who played Asst. State’s Atty. Rhonda Pearlman across 60 episodes, said of the particularly steamy moment she shared with Dominic West. “We did that over and over and over. We were never allowed back in that house because the people thought we were shooting porn.”

The cast also spoke about the significant experience of watching the show evolve from its unheralded beginnings into a “bonafide social document,” John Doman, who played William Rawls on The Wire, explains. “As you know, there are college courses being taught using The Wire as an example of where society was at the time.”

Creator David Simons gets the lion’s share of the credit for The Wire, but the cast was initially skeptical of his nontraditional style. No one more so than Michael K. Williams, who played the infamous Omar.

“Season 1, I was completely ignorant to a lot of things,” Williams admits. “When he came back for season 2 with the docks [storyline], I was very angry. I thought that this white man had taken something that black people had made good and [wanted] to make it a white show.”

Williams’ costar, The Walking Dead‘s Seth Gilliam, remembers he “called up David Simon to voice [my] frustration” over the changes, though he “advised [them] to use the frustrations [they] were having” and channel them into their performances. Obviously, it paid off.

Judge Joanne Watters has set the trial date for August 4, and I think anybody with a brain or a soul is pulling for Oakley. In addition to turning one of the most prestigious basketball franchises in the NBA into a laughingstock, James Dolan is also a world-class assclown. A normal owner would have tried to brush an incident like this under the rug, but with Dolan calling the shots, Oakley’s ejection has turned into a whole ordeal.

Oakley was arrested after a run-in with Madison Square Garden security on Feb. 8 and charged with two misdemeanors of assault, two misdemeanors of harassment and one misdemeanor of trespassing.

Assistant District Attorney Ryan Lipes on Friday offered Oakley an adjournment in contemplation of dismissal — an agreement that would lead to charges being dropped if Oakley stays out of trouble for a set time and complies with an unspecified order of protection. Oakley, through attorney Alex Spiro, rejected that offer and requested a trial.

Watters granted Spiro’s subpoena requests for documents at Madison Square Garden. Spiro also stated in court that he has a list of witnesses that he would like to call on during trial, but he did not specify which witnesses he would use.

Madison Square Garden declined comment on the matter.

Fight the power, Oak!

Back in early April, Michaella Surat, a Colorado State sorority girl, was slammed to the ground outside of a bar by a police officer.

Surat, 22, was thrown to the ground outside Bondi Beach Bar in Fort Collins, Colorado, on Thursday, April 6, after allegedly attempting to hit one of the officers. Police were called to the Bondi Beach Bar after reports of a fight that involved Surat’s boyfriend.

According to Kate Kimble, a Fort Collins police spokeswoman, while the responding officers were gathering information from Bondi Beach employees about the fight, Surat allegedly “shoulder-checked the bouncer and an officer and then pulled her boyfriend from the area.”

Now, almost two months later, the Colorado police officer who slammed Surat has been exonerated and permitted to return to work.

According to Denver 7, Fort Collins Police Services concluded its internal review which cleared Officer Randy Klamser of any wrongdoing.

After an internal investigation into an arrest in Old Town, Officer Randy Klamser has been exonerated and returned to full duty,” said a spokesperson for the Fort Collins Police Services in a statement sent to Denver7.

According to Fort Collins Police Services, the Citizen’s Review Board reviewed the investigation and, “concurred with the chain of command that Officer Klamser should be exonerated of any policy violations during the incident.”

The review board found that Officer Klamser did not violate any city or agency rule, regulation, policy, procedure or training directive when he slammed Michaella Surat, 22, to the ground outside Bondi Beach Bar the evening of April 6.

The Fort Collins police department said the body cam footage will not be released until after the District Attorney’s Office prosecution has concluded it’s investigation.

Officer Randy Klamser was back at work on June 1.

Former Penn State president Graham Spanier, 68, former university athletic director Tim Curley, 63, and former vice president Gary Shultz, 67, were all sentenced Friday to at least two months in jail for failing to alert authorities to a 2001 allegation against ex-assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky.

What Happened?

“Why Mr. Sandusky was allowed to continue to the Penn State facilities is beyond me,” Judge John Boccabella said.

“All three ignored the opportunity to put an end to (Sandusky’s) crimes when they a chance to do so,” the judge continued.

Spanier was sentenced to 4 to 12 months, with the first two to be spent in jail and the rest under house arrest. Curley was handed a sentence of 7 to 23 months, with three months to be spent in jail. Schultz was given 6 to 23 months, with two months in jail.

The late Joe Paterno, who served as head coach from 1966 to 2011, was also a target of the judge’s criticism. Paterno also failed to notify child-welfare officials or police about the 2011 complaint, but was never charged with a crime.

Paterno “could have made that phone call without so much as getting his hands dirty. Why he didn’t is beyond me,” Bocabella said.

The three former Penn State officials apologized for their lack of action and to Sandusky’s victims prior to hearing their sentences.

“I deeply regret that I did not intervene more forcefully,” Spanier said

Curley and Schultz also told the court they were sorry they didn’t do more.

“I am very remorseful I did not comprehend the severity of the situation. I sincerely apologize to the victims and to all who were impacted because of my mistake,” Curley said.

Said Schultz: “It really sickens me to think I might have played a part in children being hurt. I’m sorry that I didn’t do more, and I apologize to the victims.”

Prosecutors ripped all three, blaming their selfishness as the reason they did not protect children. They particularly singled out Spanier.

“He was a complete and utter failure as a leader when it mattered most,” said Laura Ditka, a state prosecutor.

She said he kept Penn State trustees in the dark about the Sandusky complaint and “he allowed children to be harmed.”

Jerry Sandusky

Despite the initial complaint coming in 2001, Jerry Sandusky was not arrested until 2011. At the time, an anonymous email to a county prosecutor led investigators to question ex-graduate coaching assistant Mike McQueary, who said he reported seeing Sandusky molesting a boy in 2001. Sandusky was found guilty the next year of sexually abusing 10 boys and is serving a prison sentence of 30 to 60 years while he appeals his conviction. At least four victims at Sandusky’s trial said they were molested after 2001.

The scandal led to the firing of Paterno shortly after Sandusky’s arrest, and he died of cancer two months later at the age of 85.

The Hall of Fame coach was never charged with a crime, but a report commissioned by the university concluded he was part of an effort to keep a lid on the allegations against Sandusky for fear of bad publicity.

Today, three former Penn State University administrators received jail time for the role they played in the Jerry Sandusky sexual abuse scandal. The three men were all found guilty of misdemeanor child endangerment, and via the Philadelphia Inquirer, here are the details on this breaking news.

Former Pennsylvania State University President Graham B. Spanier was ordered Friday to spend at least two months in jail and another two on house arrest for endangering children by failing to report signs that Jerry Sandusky was sexually abusing boys.

Judge John Boccabella also sentenced Spanier to pay a $7,500 fine and perform 200 hours of community service. Two other former aides, ex-athletic director Gary Schultz and onetime vice president Tim Curley, got similar two-month jail terms followed by house arrest.

“These men are good people who made a terrible mistake,” the judge said. But he also chided them for what he said was an inexcusable failure. “Why no one made a phone call to police … is beyond me.”

The fact that a simple phone call could have put a stop to Sandusky’s monstrous behavior is absolutely sickening. I don’t know how these men can sleep at night knowing that they didn’t take the necessary steps to prevent Sandusky from preying on children on their own goddamn campus.

Referring to them as “good people” is the stretch of a lifetime, as anybody with an ounce of moral fiber wouldn’t have sat idly by with this abuse taking place. Maybe it’s just because I’m in the middle of binge-watching The Keepers, but it seems to me that these guys got off way too lightly and it makes my blood boil.

The city of Copenhagen is currently on lockdown after gunman goes on rampage in busy tourist spot.

 What Happened?

According to reports, a man was shot by police after he fired his gun at the officers in central Copenhagen. The gunman has been taken to the hospital but his condition at this time is unknown.

Police say that two people have been arrested.

Henrik Møller Jakobsen, deputy police inspector in Copenhagen Police, said: “It will be investigated and we have cordoned off the entire area.

“We have summoned the Independent Police Complaints Authority.”

Officers say that the incident, which took place at Tivoli Gardens, is likely not terror-related.

Local pub owner Michael told the Ekstra Bladet that he heard four to five gunshots.

“Then came a dozen shocked people, including tourists who wept and were completely out of it,” he said. “I let them in at the pub, and got them out in the kitchen so they were safe.”

Witnesses say the police seemed to be looking for one or more people shortly after the brief firefight.

The US Embassy in Copenhagen issued a warning to people to avoid the area surrounding Tivoli Gardens.

It said in a statement: “It is unclear if the shooter is still at large.

“Police closed off the area and indicate there is no evidence to suggest the incident was terrorism-related.

“Exercise caution if you are in the vicinity.”
