The Razzies–aka The Golden Raspberries–were handed out last night, and it’s another awards ceremony that’s turned into a clunker. It used to be fun, but now most of the nominations honoring bad movies are kind of political. You really get the feeling that The Razzies start by listing all of the acceptable targets, and then moves on from there.
So that’s how we get no love for A Million Ways To Die in the West or Expendables 3 or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, or even Cameron Diaz and Nicola Peltz. There were also some lazy nominations for Tammy. At least the Razzies went after the right Hercules movie–but it’s sad to see the new Razzie Redeemer Award, where the Razzies can kiss some Hollywood ass.
Nobody showed up to accept their award, either–breaking a very occasional tradition started by Bill Cosby for his multiple “wins” for Leonard: Part 6. We’re surprised the Razzies didn’t find a way to squeeze in a shot at that guy. Anyway, here’s what you got, with the winners in bold…
